The AOC GAMING CQ27G3S Frameless Curved Gaming Monitor has been so nice – I’ve bought it twice. The AOC CQ27G3S Frameless Curved Gaming Monitor delivers an exceptional gaming, content creation, & content consumption experience. It flawlessly combining stunning visuals with fluid performance. Its 27-inch QHD 2K resolution (2560×1440) offers you crisp and detailed imagery, making it perfect for gaming, streaming, and even your productivity tasks. The 1000R curvature enhances immersion, wrapping the visuals around your field of vision for a more natural and engaging experience. It’s highly accurate sRGB with 99% accuracy- you can rest assured your content will be shown in all its glory. With a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, this monitor excels in fast-paced games, delivering ultra-smooth motion with minimal blur or ghosting. The VA panel technology ensures deep contrast ratios and rich, vibrant colors, making games come alive. Whether you’re exploring expansive open worlds or engaging in competitive esports, the performance feels snappy and responsive. The frameless design not only looks sleek but also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups(see my included pic)Additionally, the monitor includes Adaptive-Sync and FreeSync compatibility, ensuring tear-free gameplay when paired with a compatible GPU. (Im running an Nvidia 30 series, & have no trouble with tearing or ghosting.)The build quality is solid, and the adjustable stand allows for tilt, swivel, and height adjustments to suit your ergonomic preferences (it does NOT rotate to a portrait position with the stock stand – an aftermarket VESA mount would work though.)Its array of connectivity options (including HDMI and DisplayPort) makes it versatile for various setups.Overall, the AOC CQ27G3S is a top-tier choice for gamers who value performance, immersion, and a stunning display—all at a competitive price point. It’s a monitor that delivers on all fronts. To the extent that I am honestly considering buyiny a third.

I have the 27″ Mini-LED QHD @ 180Hz Model.Been using this monitor for seven months. Crisp, vibrant colors, latency is minimal. Gaming, digital art, videos, movies, all fantastic.Youtube channel “Monitors Unboxed” has a video detailing the technical specs if that’s your thing.Mini-LED hype is real. This thing compares favorably with $800 monitors. 2560×1440 resolution is ideal for 27″ screen.Complaints:1) The menu firmware and menu buttons are pretty horrendous. Thankfully you rarely need to touch them, but tinkering with settings is a pain.2) The monitor stand is… fine. Prongs are long, takes up a lot of desk space. Good enough construction. Just buy a nice monitor arm to mount it on, the incredible value for this monitor will let you fit in other misc products in your budget.(I wouldn’t want AOC to make the included monitor stand better at the cost of price, I think it’s fine as-is and the customer should buy an external arm if they need it)9.9/10, great value for a great monitor.

I was hesitant about OLED with some users reporting eye strain. But the colors and HDR on this monitor make games like Doom Eternal full on eye candy. This monitor feels great for Valorant and Delta Force.Curious to see how the warrant program stacks up however. I would definitely buy this monitor again. The glossy finish looks premiumOSD is simple and quick to learnBrightness peaks around 240nits but thats all I need.HDR is stunning Im sure its better with mini led monitors due to higher peak brightness, but I’m more than satisfied with this monitor. The stand is great it doesn’t take up too much desk space can comfortable game with 19″x15″ mousepad. This monitor is also priced perfectly for its worth around the $600usd mark.Sure there are 360hz qd oled panels out there, but you cant make use of it unless you have a beefy pc.My build has a 5900x and 3080 ti and i can run 240 hz most games.Great value monitor. This monitor made me a firm believer in OLED.This monitor is factory color calibrated also.Edit: Download AOC G menu and make it easier on yourself to adjust brightness and color settings to your liking.

Always been a TV console gamer. Been playing PS5 games on this monitor, and I’m very impressed. Depending on the game, my TV usually displays games in 4K at 60fps, while this monitor displays 2K at 120fps (120fps is the max output from PS5).. I definitely prefer playing most games on this monitor now opposed to my TV. First time playing Rocket League at 120fps felt like the game was suddenly moving in slow motion (in a good way). Makes me want to actually upgrade my PC so I can run some games at true 2K 180fps.HDR and contrast look very good. Setting up the brightness levels for the first time, I was really impressed with how bright and how dark this can get. The HDR picture is not as good as my Dolby Vision TV. Movies are still better on my TV. But the gaming experience is better on the monitor.

Image: Ignored that it looks washed out, I wasn’t directly on it, I have HDR on, and it’s bright in my room. I promise you it looks so much better and the picture doesn’t do it justice.I have seen quite a few monitors in my time, from really crappy old school monitors in the late 90’s, to very large Samsung 4K monsters of today. This AOC monitor is beyond impressive for the cost. I use it as my primary monitor as I simply do not see the point of 4K for gaming even though I have the hardware for it (7900XTX for GPU). My eyes simply do not notice any real difference between 1440 and 4K while gaming. Movies, sure, but not gaming.I have had 0 issues with the monitor after months of use, no dead pixels (which can happen to any monitor of any brand), no lines or streaks, nothing. The Quantum Mini-LED technology is absolutely fantastic, and my games look incredible. Now, could you get better? Yes. Could you get better at even double the price? Debatable, and I’d say probably not. I waited to catch this monitor in stock and instantly bought it the moment it became available because of the great reviews I had heard from others. My only gripe is going from a curved back to a flat, is incredibly difficult to adjust to and enjoy. Over time it’s become fine, but the moment I can get a curved that is supposed to be as good for near the same price, I will do so.Basically, if you’re on the fence, you don’t have a Mini LED monitor already, flat isn’t a deal breaker for you, and you want an absolutely incredible 1440p monitor with fantastic HDR, a great refresh rate that’s more than enough for gaming, and you want to do so for around $200 which is an absolute steal, then buy this bad boy ASAP. Recommended.

I took way too much time before buying this. Yes, it’s totally worth it.1. The colours are outstanding. Please don’t let people throw you off by remarking on a pinkish hue. For me, I’ve not noticed it. Colors look vibrant, darks are indeed dark and all that jazz. How this translates for you most likely:+you want to play games way too long,+watch movies for way too long,+sink hours upon hours needlessly web surfing. Why? Just cuz. The screen looks that freaking amazing! And you can’t believe it costs under $300.Then there’s the stand. It’s proven more useful than I would have predicted. Sometimes I like to feel super official and read my kindle books on a bigger size screen – especially for DK books or you know, those cool “coffee-table” kind of books I think they are called. Anyway, this monitor is AMAZING for that. I thought adjusting the screen to different orientations would prove more challenging and keep me from wanting to do it often, but not at all. Luckily it doesn’t take massive strength or strain or anything to move the monitor around, and sometimes that allows for experimentation using your monitor in ways that you may not even realized you’d appreciate. Again, for me, that’s proven true in regards to reading kindle books on this monitor. I think I’d now ALWAYS prioritize having a useful, functional stand. I know that monitor arms are a thing, but for some of us, we just want to buy the monitor and be able to use it for as long as possible without having to buy anything else 😉 With this, you have one of the very best monitor stands I could imagine.I also want to mention the warranty – a 3 YEAR WARRANTY that goes so far as to cover ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE in the first year. Now that is value unparalleled, and provided that they folow through on those promises to the customer, it’s really hard for me to recommend anything else. To anyone who is shopping on a budget but wants something that doesn’t feel budget WHATSOEVER, I’d say go this route. When I was monitor shopping, I tried an array of different monitors. Initially I was going for a 42 inch monitor, trying to go for the “best of the best”. The Gigabyte Aorus 43vu, for instance, is a great monitor as is the LG C3 in that size category. I tried 34″ and 32″ inch monitors. Interestingly, even if price wasn’t a consideration, I’d still argue that this 27 inch screen provides the better QUALITY and VALUE, which is kind of crazy to be getting both things at once, you know? I kept thinking that a 27 inch screen wouldn’t be as “fun” as a bigger screen, but as it turns out, for gaming from a desk, I will now ALWAYS choose 27 inches over 32 inches and anything bigger. Basically, I was wrong thinking bigger translates to a more enjoyable experiencd. ! I know these are specific details, but there may be someone else out there going, hey! I love this monitor, but it’s ONLY 27 inches! I can’t tell you for sure that it is enough, but for me, the 27 vs 32 inch monitor debate ends with the 27 being the clear choice. Compared to the 43 and 42 inch sized monitors, I definitely prefer gaming on this 27 inch monitor too, I occasionally game on the bigger television I own. I so prefer gaming on the 27.Look, I don’t want to encourage anyone to buy this who is gonna hate it. I’m sorry if this love letter to this monitor leads you astray and your experiences end up different than mine. But for real, if you want to skip skimming all the reddit forums and the few reviews you can find on this monitor, just take this recommendation. I came in to this skeptical and am seriously blown away.Let me address a couple of things I was worried about:+it being too big, too thick. It isn’t. For me, it’s perfect. It doesn’t remind me of the 1990 CRTV days, and the depth it does have…it just feels right for the picture it creates, as strange as that is to say that way. I have a desk depth of 30 inches. I’ll try to upload photos later in case that will help someone determine if it seems too big.2. pinkish hue: totally don’t see it. Nothing distracts, nothing makes me go oh, this monitor has a bad picture. It’s good. For the money, it’s great! You could tell me this should cost someone $600, and I’d believe it. It performs far above its asking price.Think about that. How often do you buy something that feels really like it should cost twice the price even? Not often enough! Do yourself a favor! Go for it.(To everyone who wants to make a size matters joke, ditto. Enjoy your day and this review!)

The only reason why you want an OLED monitor is because it’s an OLED monitor. Treat it as such and it will treat you just as fine.Straight out of the box, you’re going to like what you see with its SRD; however, don’t settle with it as what you really want is to take advantage of its infinite contrast and visual high fidelity. You’re going to have to put in the effort with Windows 11’s HDR settings to get the HDR just right for your eyes, so I recommend playing with around it for a whole day, especially with its calibration software. But once you find your HDR settings you’re going to fall in love with your purchase. Please remember to back up your HDR profile settings for your sanity sakes. It has a glossy screen, so this is your heads up if your desk is close to a window or is in brightly lit room. It has a VESA Certified DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 for a reason, so you want to set this up in a room that you can control its lighting.Once you figure everything out, you will immediately understand what’s the hype of owning an OLED monitor.

I had a 4k lg ips 160hz that I’ve used for about 3years no issues it’s been so good then I found this one AOC Agon PRO AG276QZD2 27″ OLED for great deal, I told myself let’s compare these two side by side and I was shocked how great the oled is,1- My gpu now handle any game with ultra setting at low cost of power (rx 7900xtx).2- Resolution difference is not that much specially when it comes oled vs ips.3- In games this one is better (black and shadows are real).4- Overall experience I think 2k oled is better than 4k ips (after while of using the oled and go back to my ips 4k I can tell the oled wins)solid product no dead pixel or any issue so far – if u have any flicker, I recommend updating firmware.I highly recommend using windows hdr calibration app after turning on the hdr

So far so good. It’s my first 27” monitor and it’s made a huge difference in gaming after playing in 1080p for years. Now I just need a better video card but I digress. I picked this AOC Q27G3XMN on a great Black Friday deal. I heard this one was one of the best monitors because it has Mini LED and at the time wasn’t willing to spend too much. Color wise I just turned on HDR setting, did calibration myself, and even tested calibration settings I found on other sites. Even with calibration, Windows ‘AutoHDR’ is somewhat weird with this. Sometimes I will watch a Youtube or other web video and the autohdr kicks in and suddenly the picture is bright and contrasted. Sometimes terribly, but then I just move the video to my other monitor if that’s the case. When I tested the HDR settings with real HDR video it was a great vibrant picture. If you set it to SDR there is more settings you can tweak to get the picture you want too.Overall, I feel satisfied with this monitor and I hope it gives me no problems.

Seems to be an excellent choice so far.Vibrant, responsive and perfect for gaming. The longer, specific warranty sweetened the choice for me.

I’ve always been cautious about getting an OLED monitor due to factors like burn-in. But I bit the bullet with this one. I’ve needed an upgrade from 1080p for a while and going OLED was a hand-in-hand decision. I am an Unreal Engine developer for Fortnite and some other studios. Having pure color accuracy is very important and this monitor, as with any OLED, has amazing color accuracy and contrast. I’ve seen OLEDs before, but this display is gorgeous and I simply cannot go back now. The brightness was also a topic for concern I’ve seen, but its surprisingly brighter than my other monitors and the HDR is incredible. And while I can’t speak on burn-in due to only owning it for 2 days, the monitor comes with plenty of settings to prevent burn-in, along with a pixel maintenence mode that is prompted every 4 hours of constant use, so I would recommend doing it at LEAST once a day to keep the pixels healthy. Also saw complaints about text fringing but I haven’t really noticed it as an issue, especially if you use 125% DPI or higher. Build quality and the glossy screen is very nice. Overall I don’t have many complaints and I think its a phenomenal choice for its price range.

After years of dealing with problems on my previous ASUS and Acer monitors, I’d completely lost confidence in their products. I was ready to leave them behind and explore something new, and wow, did AOC deliver. Twitch streamer Plumy_ praises this brand and their products and had me seriously considering an AOC monitor. When I saw this monitor pop up during the Black Friday sales, I barely hesitated and decided to give it a shot… and I can confidently say this monitor has exceeded my every expectation. From the moment I powered it on I was blown away. The colors are incredibly vibrant, and the responsiveness is superb. I currently have it side by side with my previous monitor and just dragging a game between the two monitors, the difference is stark. Games feel smoother and brighter. It’s like I’ve upgraded not just my monitor but my entire gaming setup.Even mounting it was a breeze. The mounting hardware was intuitive and AOC included everything I needed in the box to make the process effortless. I had it on my desk and running in no time. This monitor is more than just a step up, it’s a leap into a whole new tier of quality and performance. If you’ve been burned by unreliable gear in the past, AOC will restore your faith. Huge thanks to Plumy_ for pointing me in the right direction. I couldn’t be happier!

This monitor’s display is absolutely beautiful. This is my first Mini LED screen, and it really does make a big difference. Stunning colors, really, which made an effect I didn’t know was possible in gaming. No dead pixels or other sign of damage/malfunction. I also like how the stand works (although it takes a lot of desk space). Easy to adjust, and holds the screen well. I haven’t had any problem with the monitor’s buttons.I saw complaints about a “pinkish hue.” I see what they’re talking about when HDR is turned off. When HDR is turned on, both in the monitor and in the computer settings, I don’t think it’s there at all.Edit: When I first wrote this review, I complained about the backlight. It was very intense, and giving me eye strain even when I turned the brightness down very low. I then used the monitor with Windows 11 instead of Windows 10, and it seems Windows 11 has better HDR customization. Because I’m using Windows 11 now, I can turn the brightness down further and I have no complaints left.

My daughter bought a gaming PC with some money. She saved up and she wanted my help in finding an affordable PC gaming monitor. We decided to purchase this particular monitor and we were not disappointed. Very high-quality and the picture is outstanding. Great refresh rate. Highly recommended you won’t be disappointed

  15. ash

I recently got a new PC and needed a monitor for it so I resorted to a cheaper one that i could find. I stumbled across this one and it is excellent! The connection and response time is great. The viewing angle in perfect and you can tilt it up and down slightly. Its perfect for me as my first monitor!

  16. Andrew Coale

Don’t underestimate this monitor, it’s awesome and windows 11 hdr calibrated brings it to a new level. Don’t use the presets. Gotta go with windows hdr software. It is glossy so I recommend having the ability to control the brightness or glare in the room you plan to use it in. The monitor can get very bright though so in the end its not a huge issue. QD OLED monitors are kind of misleading when it comes to their brightness, or “nits” numbers. This thing is brighter than any other monitor I’ve owned. I’m actually finding myself turning the brightness down. Just make sure you have a rig that can get close to the full 240hz out of it and runs smooth. Lots of options for pixel care, but these new oleds don’t burn in like you think. Unless you’re using it for work or task purposes in which case would take at least a year or 2 of stagnant use and even then you wouldn’t notice it, and also get another monitor if that is your use intent. This is a gaming monitor and I would highly recommend if you’re looking to get your first oled. I was able to pick it up for a good black Friday deal but I still believe it’s worth it at full price. If you can catch it on sale. It’s a no brainer. You’ll never look back and you’ll only want oleds from then on.
