Still very dim, weird color distortion issues that randomly happen when powering on, the brightness automatically dims to a horrendous point when it shouldn’t (example in Visual Studio it dims really low when I’m writing code)It’s not worth the price, and it certainly isn’t the best there is, I’m going to try a aw2725df by Alienware next. The biggest reason I chose to try this monitor was the stand, since the others have an awful curvey garbage stand. And the stand is of good quality, but it doesn’t raise the height high enough.I’ve gamed on it and its honestly not the best experience I’ve had gaming, and HDR is awful.Edit::Keeping the monitor, if you want to get a good quality picture, TURN OFF Auto Logo Brightness and Screen Saver. They only dim the screen ruining it, but from the names they sound as if they do something completely different.Keep screen moving on though to prevent burn in, I would recommend this monitor after numerous different experiences, this one is amazing. And yes the Alienware monitor I previously talked about trying, it sucked, do not buy.

Fantastic monitor went from a PG279Q which I have had for years and have tried to replace but others just couldn’t compete with the response time and colours of the panel until now! I cannot believe the difference an OLED monitor would make response is noticeably faster than my PG279Q and the colours are on another level!

I looked for a great monitor for a while and this one has definitely blown me away. The color accuracy looks amazing when viewing videos on YouTube and playing different video games such as Fortnite, Subnautica, Apex legends, and Minecraft . One thing I love about this monitor is the brightness doesn’t dim when switching tabs like any of the other Oled monitors I have order in the past such as the LG one. That’s really important for me as I have sensitive eyes and like stable lighting. Also, stand is really easy to install and comes with a bracket mount adapter as well. Honestly, would highly recommend for anyone looking for intense gaming, and extreme response times as well.

I’ve been using this monitor for 5 months now. Upgrading from an lcd monitor to this is amazing. Colors are vibrant and look good. I’m using a ps5 pro with this and it makes a big difference. Only thing I can’t seem to work out right is the hdr. Gives everything a yellow tint. The height is adjustable and screen can be turned.

This ASUS XG27AQDMG is the best 27″ 2K OLED Gaming monitor available on the market today!!!The HDR contrast and OLED brightness levels are truly amazing!!I have tried this monitor in both gaming (Hunt Showdown) and also watching HDR video/movie content on netflix etc… and the clarity and colours of the content are incredible.I highly recommend this monitor if youre looking to replace an old 27″ IPS panel. The other amazing features on this monitor is that it has 240hz refresh rates which is more than enough and also the 3rd generation WOLED GLOSSY panel. This is one of the few OLED monitors out that has a GLOSSY panel rather than the standard Matte panel.Asus is a well trusted brand I have always used their gaming monitors!

I originally purchased a QD-OLED but suffered from eye strain and headaches when using it. I took a chance on this monitor as it’s the only glossy coating WOLED available as far as I know. The monitor itself is fantastic – the colours, motion clarity and response times are excellent.

All my PC games look totally different on this monitor. I set the colour to scenic and it looks incredible. Enhanced colours. Black is black. The glossy screen is amazing. Incredible quality at this price range

I will be buying a second one most likely. This display is basically perfect. 1440p is the sweet spot for productivity, media consumption, games, and general usage. The glossy finish isn’t “black mirror,” more of a slight reflection when in direct light. I hate matte finishes, they’re all terrible, grainy, and “dirty” looking.Color is great, 240hz is a little overkill if you’re working but nice for games. There’s also a cool camera mount thing on the included stand, it’s standard 1/4-20 threads. I use a Mac, so I got a MagSafe phone mount for a tripod, which makes for a really slick webcam for meetings. My only minor complaint would probably be that the power supply is a brick instead of an internal one. That can make it irritating to cable manage. This is the display to buy. Everything else is trash.

It looks extremely different with my ASUS PG279Q, which is a 2k 168Hz LCD monitor. Since I put them together as two monitors, I only use my LCD for websites and news. The reason is that since you use OLED to play games and watch movies, you will never go back. The only consideration is that you need your OLED monitor to have a totally black background without any symbols as it is turned off. You never know when you overuse the OLED monitor that the panel got burned.

  11. Alex Brown

OLED is a game changer. Colors, responsiveness, sharpness – everything is just on the a different level compared to LCD monitors. A true upgrade, probably the best you can make after GPU/CPU.

  12. Paulgregs

Fantastic image once calibrated. It has the range to be so bright that it’s uncomfortable to look at a Web page. I lowered the brightness to 60 with hdr calibration and looks fantastic. Only downsides are the stand isn’t very tall. Had to make a wooden box for it to stand on to raise it up to eye level. Also the cable management isn’t the best. Minor gripes as the image quality makes up for it

After experiencing 120hz 400 nit OLED on mygalaxybook 3 I was to put it lightly a changed man. It’s so good it effectively replaced my TV, tablet and phone for TV movie and media consumption. Its glossy vibrant rich colors are every bit as good on this monitor and I couldn’t be happier. The UI navigation is just like my old 27gl850 which is to say, the best i’ve ever used by a landslide. It’s plenty bright, smooth as butter and 1440p is perfect (at 27”) even though my 3050 and I would prefer 1080p at 24”. Honestly the UI is so good I struggle to think of complaints. All sorts of color options, adjustments and the heatsink is great peace of mind. The stand is super easy to attach and included VESA adapter while not as flush as I would prefer as it’s a little big on my desk, but that’s about it. If you prioritize picture quality over anti glare then you’ll be amazed like me. By the way, if you want a hack to reduce glare, indirect lighting like in my case LED 6’ floor lamps are the best way to do so. Highly recommend!

  14. Theo Holland

Absolutely stunning picture quality which is expected for Oled, packaging was brilliant, nothing to fault. The monitor has great Oled care so no need to worry about burn in and the glossy finish means you don’t get the red tint when you shine a light on it.

  15. Tyler Kofman

Phenomenal colours, blacks and whites, thin panel. Side by side to my old dell LCD monitor is night and day difference. A great monitor at a fair price.

Feedback after 130 hrs screen on time:9/10 screen for the price (500£ on Black Friday)1440p 240 Hz (180 Hz on a 10-bit colour over DP)Indiana Jones was the first game I tried it on (I was blown away with immersion especially in the caves of Vatican where you walk with torch)The vibrancy of colours is next level, tested games like Borderlands 3, Psychonauts 2, GTA Vice City Remastered, STALKER 2. Colours pop like crazy. My GF says she heard more compliments from me towards this monitor when I’m playing than she ever heard from me towards her 🥹. Did not experience OLED flickering, the only thing was dirty screen effect on a grayscale image at +80% (vertical lines across all the screen) could see this everywhere for the first couple of days. Eventually after couple of screen pixel clear cycles it all seem to disappear and is no longer an issue so don’t freak out when you turn your monitor for the first time. One minor downside is text clarity (slightly worse than on my old 1440p IPS screen, but not terrible at all, I find it OK to use). HDR in games on WIN10 is completely broken, the screen looks washed out in this mode and you loose saturated colours and brightness for some reason. I haven’t found the game yet that would look better in HDR than SDR. In fact SDR games now look almost like if they had HDR on this screen so I’m not really sure if I need it. There is no coming back to LCD after seeing this. You have to see it in person, pictures don’t do the justice.

Other than coming scratched on the back (first photo) the monitor is absolutely amazing! The color accuracy is incredible 🔥

Good product 240hz 1440p OLED screen very thin screen and good screen protection (pixel refresh) + warranty

  20. Ali

I received it earlier than expected, huge difference Between OLED and IPS which I was using before

  21. E. Campbell

With the glossy finish, the colors really pop on this in a way I didn’t even know was possible on a monitor. The response time is amazing, 240Hz feels really good (even coming from 144Hz, I can still see the difference). Form factor is really nice, it’s much thinner and light than the Acer I’m replacing (XB271HU). Hard to complain here, I haven’t had any issues with text readability that some others have mentioned. I’m scared of burn in, but there are a couple different ways to protect against this built into the monitor’s settings that I appreciate. Can’t go wrong here! ASUS is increasingly my go to for all things gaming related.

This is my 3rd oled monitorFirst i had acer oled , too dark and without g sync it blink at times was really baddd2nd i had lg model was better but matte coatingWas very disapointing because i have lg tv hopingI would have same expriance but it wasnt the sameSo i almost give upThen i find out asus made glossy coating oledSo i had to tryAt first it was better but it seems to have semi glossy coating it looked alike a glossy screen protector over a matte coated screenBut with some fw update and tweaking a bitI found a perfect setting! It has multiful screen dimming settingsDisable all of em then you will have almost lg oled tv like expriancesVery happy my purchase

  23. noahiun25

It needs a bit of settings tweaked in the OSD I used ones from the RTINGS review and quickly became the best monitor I have ever used not only due to the OLED but but the glossy finish looks great

  24. Unique customer

This monitor is an absolute beast. The colors are super vibrant, I originally had concern with oled as they are typically more dull. Not this bad boy. I have zero issues with it. Coming from an ips display the colors are unmatched

  25. Toulzah

I’m very happy with this monitor. Response time and visual clarity is great, brightness also good. Also on the cheaper end of gaming OLEDs! Sponsored post by ASUS.

  26. Average Joe

Make the two settings adjustments other reviewers mention, and it’s a BEAST.I came from 2 LED 27″ 1080p monitors, and they seem like crap compared to this. Now I feel like I need another one to make my setup complete.

  27. Ibrahim Allaf

Finding a glossy monitor these days is very hard as most of them have a matte/anti-reflective coating which gives the image a grainy look if you look closely and lacks vibrancy and punch compared to glossy screens. Finally, ASUS released this glossy panel which is made by LG and the image quality and colors are out of this world. I have owned many monitors in the past including both WOLED and QD-OLED monitors and this one has the most vibrant colors that I have seen.Another thing people don’t realize when purchasing a monitor, you see everyone wanting a 4K screen and while 4K screens look great when viewing 4K content, if you were to watch a video that is 1080P, it looks pixelated but with a QHD resolution everything looks great no matter what the original quality of the video is.Just make sure to turn off the Clear Pixel Edge function in the settings. It’s supposed to make text fringing better but it actually makes text blurry and hard to read. After purchasing it, I contacted ASUS Dubai to verify if the warranty is valid here and indeed, it has a 3 year warranty which covers burn-in and is valid in the UAE.

  28. Joe Lee

This is one of the better monitors ive used for gaming, the glossy panel sets it aside from other competitors along with the pricing

    Best guality

  30. Zena Bliss

The colours are very lifelike. 3 years guarantee. I’m super happy with this monitor.

  31. I have the black version of the mini with the 4K dongle. I love this so much I’m ordering the white one for back up purposes!

Seriously save yourself the time. Returned the several oled monitors the glossy coating on this one is superior to the other options. The peak brightness for hdr is perfect. I couldn’t be more pleased! Make sure you turn off screen saver and logo brightness in settings. Also use HDR console. I turned my saturation up to digital vibrance up to 60 in nvidia control panel and gamma to 1.05. Absolutely perfect!

  32. Korbin

I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG ever since I got it yesterday, and I’m seriously impressed. The WOLED screen is absolutely gorgeous – the colours pop, and blacks are incredibly deep. The glossy finish is seriously out of this world – as long as you don’t have a super bright light directly shining onto the screen or a window behind you then I’d definitely pick this up over a matte display any day. It’s perfect for gaming – 240Hz and 1440p which I prefer over 4k for higher framerates just makes this perfect for my use. The colour accuracy out of the box is also extremely accurate on my panel. The design is clean, with minimal bezels, and the adjustable stand is great for finding the perfect angle. If you’re looking for a top-tier monitor, this one’s hard to beat!

  33. Pastreh

Infinite contrast glossy monitor, beautiful. This is the one. Any review here that’s less than 4 stars here probably got a defective unit or had whacked out settings on their monitor. Got this during the holiday sale for $550. I’m one of those people who agonize over purchases like this to make sure I’m getting the right stuff…this is the right stuff. As long as you get a good unit, you’ll be happy.

  34. jabari g

If you want a nice monitor get this one immediately!

  35. C. Fantauzzi

Chair came as described. Delivery was quick and hassle free. Thanks again, overall such a great experience with Maximus Prime

  36. Zeta

So far the monitor is fantastic. Playing stalker 2 The visuals look great on the OLED and the darker areas feel scarier because of how good the blacks are. It’s my first time using an OLED for gaming and it’s going to be hard to go back if I ever do.
