BEFORE BUYING MAKE SURE YOU want either a *glossy or a *matte screen. Watch YouTube videos about the difference because it could be crucial depending on your setup. This monitor is truly stunning. I’ve never seen an OLED screen before this purchase. At first, I didn’t think there was much of a difference until I put the same video, image and game side by side with my LG 4K 60HZ monitor. The image is superb. The contrast it produces is beautiful and changes the overall gaming experience. The added refresh rate is a huge plus as well as the 3 year warranty. I have never seen a 240HZ monitor, only a 144HZ. Between the HZ, the color and the size… I am truly happy I bought this monitor. If you’re a gamer, this monitor is for you. Save the extra buck and buy this.

The only downside to beautiful Monster is that it is very expensive and has a chance of coming with VRR flickering, (which mine does not have) which seems to be a hit or miss depending on what Asus sends you. Other than that this Beast has everything one could want to look at, the specs speak for themselves and they show it. No video or picture will ever accurately re-create what it looks like in person so you just have to see for yourself. The reason I say its for most people is because there are only a few scenarios where this monitor doesn’t work well for people, being FPS gammers who will typically want a smaller screen than 32 inches, and possibly a refresh rate of 480 Hz. And then there are the people who like their Samsung Odyssey type Ultra wides to either use for Maximum Productivity with as many google tabs and windows as they can fit on their screen, or people who just want a wide screen for their realistic Driving/ Flight sim. or whatever. Other than that, I can’t think of a reason why someone wouldn’t want this at their desk for anything from productivity to gaming. I recommend watching tech reviews on YouTube as well if you want more info. The OLED burn in does seem to be a worry for a lot of people, but the monitor comes with lots of built in setting’s to try to prevent it from ever happening, plus a three year warranty, so it is most likely all right to not worry about it. If you wanted the best of the best as of 2024, you found it.

Jumping from 1080P to 4k here lol (previously had a glorious ASUS MX279H (IT STILL WORKS AMAZINGLY BTW) and then one of them Scepter 32in 200HZ Curved monitors). The huge shift in resolution and image quality is mind blowing! HDR even makes things so real to what my eyes perceive now, it’s insane. Some say the HDR is ‘washed out/dull’ in some kinda way, but YOU CAN CALIBRATE HDR IN WINDOWS 11, not sure about other OS’s though, which includes the color vibrancy, not just darkness and brightness. I always have HDR on outside of productivity after tweaking all of that and it’s such a great experience. Darkness isn’t just pure black (when it truly shouldn’t be in some cases, in a light/spatial sense) in places now. I love how in lots of the 4k music videos I rewatch a lot reveal a WHOLE LOT more detail than I experienced before. Makeup becomes so much more obvious, skin surfaces look much more true to the eye, every little niche of detail is unfurled before your eyes with this monitor. GG, ASUS. The pixel cleaning feature is nice. Just run it after a few hours when you gotta AFK for something and it’ll be back up sometime when you sit back down, no big deal.

I love the picture quality and glossy screen (which helps the details really pop off). I am concerned about static elements on a pc screen e.g. UIs in games. The default pixel cleaning is also a bit aggressive, and wish it was performed when the monitor was off. Even with this mitigation it makes it difficult to recommend for productivity because of risk for burn in. Also, bright lighting will raise the blacks a bit, to more comparable levels to an lcd display. Best paired with low controlled lighting (ideally behind the display). Reasonably nice as an entertainment display too. I prefer the black frame insertion (elmb) which is only available in this asus version of the Samsung qd oled, but is also requires refresh rate at 120 hz and disables vrr. 32” is a bit large especially for any kind of productivity work. As these displays get smaller, I’d recommend a 27” when available, for better text clarity and take up less space. With a smaller size than 32” it’s easier to treat this as a productivity display too. I’m not sure I grasp why 240 hz is necessary at this resolution but it does make competitive/older games like half life 2 feel very snappy/responsive. I do like the more white colors of woled in certain situations, but this has much more saturated/vibrant colors, that extenuate red at times, but in general colors are well beyond the gamut of woleds I’ve seen. Probably the best qd oled monitor out there, I bought it below $1k which would be my recommendation.Easy to use menu and controls, infrequently it seems to power off but then on again. I have heard about vrr issues which is part of the reason I use elmb instead.
