Exceptional Feel and Function
This replaced my Saitek pedals that were starting to go after some years of use. I love the accuracy and sturdiness of this thing, and the weight keeps it where I want it to stay. I expecially like the straight in-and-out action instead of the pivoting in the Saitek. I didn’t really appreciate the value of this until I used it the first time. The adjustability of the toe brake angle is a real plus too. TM stuff is expensive, but well worth the price if you’re anything more than an occasional simmer.

Quality rudder pedals
Very rugged and sturdy, great for flight sims like XPLANE, DCS and just tried it on MSF2020, works fantastic will all 3. It’s easy to put together and comes with all the tools. The only complaint I have is that sometimes it slips on tile floor, works best with a rug. It’s heavy for a purpose, but you get quality for the price. The toe breaks are also a plus, makes it a lot easier to fly.

Just do it
I tried plastic cheaper ones and in the end you have to adapt to their imperfections. You’ll probably save money just buying this first. My two cents.

Very high quality feel
I am not a Thrustmaster fan boy but I really do like these rudder pedals. They are SOLID. I have used Saitek and also Crosswind pedals but these TPR pedals are the best I have ever had. The pendulum set up seems way more natural than the Saitek or the Crosswind. There are more than enough adjustments available as well to help dial in the angles and feel that you want. The pedals aren’t cheap but I have no regrets buying them. I think they really added to the look and feel of my sim rig.

Huge performance improvement
Upgrading from the Saitek pro pedals to the TPR pedals made a massive improvement in the realism experience. Now very minor movements in pedal input are recreated in the sim world and is much more in sync with flying a real aircraft. Although expensive, you get what you pay for. Must have for the die hard flight sim enthusiast.

I really like these pedals for MSFS 2020
The heft and weight make these pedals great. I can torque hard for those tight turns on taxi and it does not slide across the floor.

Very realistic
Flying is my profession, and these pedals are one of the most realistic purchases I’ve made for my flight simulation PC. The only complaint I have is that brake pedal tension is very low. There are people out there modifying them to improve realism but out of the box these are by far the best pedals I’ve ever owned.

The quality of this thing is unbeatable even after so many years and it delivers good control. Carpet gripper is highly recommended depending on how intense you intend to use it. Overall it’s amazing!!!

Excellent product
I give this 4 stars because the arm with the socket popped out of the socket and is now loose and will not tighten. The pedals still work but one side as a bit of wobble to it. A bit disappointing for the price.

Fantastic but expensive.
This is a fabulous piece of hardware. Built to last, works like a charm. A little on the bulky size. This is a prime example of you get what you pay for. Expensive but so much better than the other cheap rudders out there. Highly recommended.

The best rudder pedals so far
The best rudder pedals I ever have. It is the next level in precision, quality and lasting. All metal so will last several years. The only down side is that is really sensitive and the calibration tool does not control the sensitive as desired.

Works as advertised.
It is very precise. I had to customize the pedal position and spring tension to my liking (on the light side for me). I set it on a rubber mat as close to the wall as possible so it wouldn’t move around.

Epitome of Rudder Pedals
I am using the Thrustmaster TPR Pedals on Flight Simulator Prepar3D. I have had several other brands of Rudder Pedals over the years, nothing compares to Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. They are the epitome of pedals. Really brings your plane to a highly realistic feel. Well worth the investment!

Just WOW!
These pedals are hands down the best I have ever used. They’re rugged, easy to assemble and sized perfectly. The sensors in these are so smooth and silky it makes it a pleasure to taxi with on DCS. Super clean precision that you only get from the real thing.Thrustmaster keep this trend up!

Quality piece of kit
Heavy and extremely well engineered … but there is a better choice out there. The TM Warthog HOTAS doesn’t have a twist stick which forces you to buy this too. Check out Virpil … the stick has a twist base making this purchase unnecessary. And the quality of Virpil is amazing compared to the TM. My total was $811.

Smooth
At first glance, this is a large device. I wish the actual dimensions were easier to find. It is well made and very smooth. It is a huge upgrade for those other plastic rudder pedals. I would not recommend it for use on carpet, but the base is heavy enough and has rubber non-slip feet to keep it in place.

Best Rudder Pedals Sub-1000 USD
Quick note for anyone buying: Only buy at MSRP. Anything above $550 is worth passing on.These are by far the best pedal set out there for the everyday consumer. There is better stuff available but that should all be saved for professional flight simulation setups only. These are amazingly natural and added the final element of immersion and control for me.

Excellent Pedals!
Yes, they are pricey, but they are very well built and exactly what I’ve been looking for for my flight simulators. Tail rotor control on helicopters and rudder/wheel brake control on planes is SOOO much better with these pedals than my previous Logitech G series pedals. I’ve seen some reviewers on YouTube mention they can move around on carper if not mounted, but I haven’t had any issue with that, but I am also light on flight controls. Very satisfied with these.

HIgh fidelity and solid construction
I am an actual pilot, with thousands of hours in general aviation and military aircraft. In flying computer simulators, these rudder pedals are very faithful in all respects. You are able to angle the pedals in the proper vertical alignment one finds on actual aircraft, and upon doing so, you will experience highly realistic rudder and braking actions. In aviation, there is a term called “tops and bottoms” when it comes to rudder actions. The tops being the brakes and the bottoms being the actual rudder. These rudder pedals allow one to properly replicate that reality. You can place the toes of your feet at the bottom of the pedals and manipulate the rudder. Or, you can place your toes on the tops of the rudder pedals and apply braking.I found differential braking to be smooth and highly accurate, something that using cheaper pedals I just never was satisfied with as there was constant over and under braking actions. With these pedals, that does not happen. When you apply the brakes smoothly, you get smooth braking. These pedals are well worth the money.

Quality
The price tag might frighten you, but the truth is that these pedals are worth it. Other pedals do not have an actual pedal’s resolution or feel. These are so smooth, so accurate, and so well-built. The solid frame and engineering that went into these are evident. Works perfectly with X-Plane and MSFS.

Exceeding expectations by a mile
The rudder pedal build quality is unmatched to what I’ve seen thus far! Heavy duty all metal design and dampers on each pedal make it super easy to make fine rudder inputs while I’m flying in my sim.10 out of 10 would recommend!

Expensive and worth it
I had an under $200 set of rudder pedals; they were ok but I could not use them with any degree of finesse, they were just not up to the job. I was very frustrated with poor ground handling and takeoff rolls (in M$ Flight Simulator, BTW). I got these, set them up, tried them for a while, tweaked the setup some, and have been very pleased with their performance. There are still some aircraft in the sim that are very twitchy on the ground (you try to correct a tiny amount, and the aircraft jumps like you kicked the rudder halfway to the floor – not realistic) – I attribute that to the mediocre ground model of FS plus some aircraft vendors have not spent the time to deal with that in their model. The TPR is pretty heavy, but I still find it necessary to have something to anchor them so I can push all the way to the floor if I need to. Most of the time not needed, but no fun when you need a lot of rudder and the pedals slide a bit. So I’d plan on having something to hold them very firmly in place (which is what I recommend for any rudder pedals, not just these). No, I’m not a big muscle guy, I’m not using THAT much force. Overall the action on the TPR is VERY smoooooth. I really like the range of adjustability of the pedal positions so you can keep the brakes out of the way when you’re just flying. Also very nice to be able to set the pressure / force needed to actuate the pedals; you have springs that have a very wide range of adjustment. I prefer mine just a bit still, just enough so I can tell when the pedals are centered. These have contributed substantially to my enjoyment and immersion in the simulator; I’d never want to go back to my old pedals. So like I said – expensive, but worth it. Recommended.

Love this unit but….
Loved this unit. I waited for months to buy it and was thrilled when it arrived. The build quality was exceptional. The layout was much closer to a real-world plane than most other rudder pedals for flight simulators. I just had two problems. First, the center housing places the pedals farther apart than the planes I fly, so the ergonomics didn’t work for me. I thought about trying to work with the unit anyway until I ran into problem two. The unit is very hard to calibrate. It was hyper-sensitive, and I was unable to get a realistic rudder response. I confirmed that this is an issue with another pilot who has the unit and also struggled to calibrate it. I’ve had two other rudder pedals. This was the only one I couldn’t calibrate. It could be me, so I just took away one star. I returned the unit. Wish I could have kept it.

You get what you pay for.
The Thrustmaster TPR Pendulum rudder pedals have arrived and been installed! I’ve had my feet on a lot of mechanical, hydraulic and fly-by-wire rudders in planes and simulators for about 45 years and these are the most realistic and most comfortable sim pedals I’ve ever used. They move like real pedals in a T-38 Jet Trainer, which are similar to most airliners and (I think) most fighters due the “Hanging Down” pendulum geometry. They are infinitely adjustable for pitch and tension. After using them for a few sorties, it occurs to me that I needn’t even think about them… they’re just there, an extension of my feet… the way rudders ought to be. They center up with no pressure absolutely perfectly EVERY time.Assembly was a “No-Brainer” requiring four hex screws and two metric nuts using the included wrenches. Windows USB installation was “Plug and Play” with Windows 10 or optional Thrustmaster drivers. It’s as simple as it gets.Programming Issue: There seems to be a glitch when using Thrustmaster TARGET Script Editor program scripting in that the rudder may not be recognized when all three axes are combined by the software. This in no way affects the use of the rudders if rudders are left in the unprogrammed state. Windows will recognize the normal “Thrustmaster Combined” device for aileron and elevator and buttons programming with TARGET SE, while the rudder and toe brakes operate normally as a separate device in the Windows Game Controllers window. I’ve read that aftermarket programming (FSUIPC, etc.) utilities also work properly but I haven’t needed to load any of them in my simulators.Extra feature: My toes can fit under these pedals. It’s not necessary to rest my feet on the pedals when not in use. (Just a little less wear and tear.)Only criticism: They cost too much. (But don’t they all?)Final answer: Three Thumbs Up!

EXCELLENT RUDDER PEDALS
THE THRUSTMASTER TRP RUDDER PEDALS IS A SOLID-DESIGNED (All-Metal) RUDDER PEDALS WHICH HAS A SMOOTH AND VERY ACCURATE RUDDER SIMULATION AS ADVERTISED…NOW MY FLIGHT/SPACE SIMULATOR SYSTEM SET-UP IS NOW COMPLETE!!!! Note: I purchased the ThrustMaster Warthog Hotas (Joystick and Throttle System) which is also an all-metal design, months ago, now with the purchase of the ThrustMaster TRP Rudder Peddles, that completes my “Big Boy” Flight/Space simulator system!!!….Note: I must also add that this ThrustMaster Warthog Hotas Flight is really accurate replica of the actual famous A-10 Warthog Air Force aircraft flight stick system…The reason why I would know that is because I am a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran who was trained as an “Aircraft Maintenance Specialist” on the B-52 Bomber and the KC-135 air refueling aircraft with extensive knowledge of the famous A-10 Warthog (Tank Killer). This flight system is a little “Pricy/expensive but if you want to play with “BIG BOYS” to me who is a 73-year-old Vietnam War Veteran/Flight Simmer, it is worth every penny!!!.. THIS THRUSTMASTER WARTHOG HOTAS FLIGHT SYSTEM IS SERIOUS….

Very nice upgrade from TFRP !
I’ve had these for almost a month. I love the adjustable spring tension, especially when I go from Planes, to jets, to helos. Exceptional quality ! As far as people saying they slide too much, if the hardwood floors are dusty and the longer they sit, they will slide. You can clean the floor and the rubber pads on the bottom and they will regain their holding power. (I just took 1/2″ x 2″ velcro and put a strip under the front and back, and it has not slipped a bit, better than putting screws in your floor) Any residue left from the velcro adhesive can easily be removed with isopropyl alcohol. I find these so much more realistic than the “slider style” rudder peddles. Once you put these in front of you and recalibrate you will be very happy you spent the money. I was reluctant because of the cost, but I have the Hotas Warthog flight stick and throttles, this just completes that set-up with the same quality. The only negative thing, which is just my opinion” is the connector wire and location. I think they could have come up with something different, but I have not had any problems with it either. My opinion, if you have the extra money, go for it, you will not regret it.

Solid!
The assembly process had one minor hitch: To connect the right-side pedal to the brake sensor I had to remove the jam nut from the ball-end so the pieces could line up and not bind. To position the pedal assembly relative to my desk I cut a section of wallboard to act as a spacer to brace against the wall behind the desk. My usual desk chair has casters, so when I’m running my simulator program I substitute a folding chair with sticky feet that stays put when I use the rudder pedals. The driver software installed with no problems, and worked seamlessly with X-Plane. I did have one weird problem at first: The plane wouldn’t roll when I released the parking brake and advanced the throttle. It turns out the sense of the toe brakes was backwards. Flipping the sense in X-Plane fixed the problem. So far this seems to be a very worthwhile purchase.

Expensive but worth it
These pedals are realistic, simulator grade. They have great spacing between them, superb feel, and great personal adjustability. I moved up to these after using the plastic Thrustmaster pedals for years and I wish I had not waited so long. Those old pedals are not even in the same zip code as these TPRs. Whether I’m flying a Hornet, Harrier, or Apache in DCS World, these pedals do a masterful job giving me precise control of my aircraft. Buy these, you will not regret it.

Beautiful design and manufacture. Precise control in X-Plane
I’ve wanted rudder pedals for about 5 years. I didn’t want to buy some cheap (excuse me… ‘inexpensive’) set. With MS flight sim coming soon, I wanted to purchase before all stock was gone. I”m glad I did. I can’t find anything to criticize. Well… Yeah, they are expensive. It’s wonderful to have steering control while on the ground, and plane control while flying low and slow and wanting to keep level wings is just so nice. You’ll have to evaluate if you need to spend this amount of money for that amount of control. It is a case of buying once, and crying once. I learned that lesson a long time ago, and I’ve never regretted spending more to get more.I don’t regret it now.

Great Feel, but . . .
These feel fantastic. Unfortunately, mine when received worked intermittently for about an hour and then quit working all together. I noticed that the USB B connection to the pedal tower was very loose. I could find no other reviews or comments on the internet with the same issue so I re-ordered. Hopefully mine was a one off. Can’t wait to to get replacement pedals.

Very precise, accurate, and realistic control
The Thrustmaster TPR rudder peddles are outstanding. The peddles are all metal; and the build quality isfantastic. I had no problems in setting up the peddles in XPLANE 11 or MSFS2020. The TPR peddles makeit more realistic in keeping the aircraft on the center line during takeoff. These peddles are a” game changer.”

Just get them.
I spent a TON of time researching rudder pedals and found your options are $150-200 for plastic with incorrect feel and movement, $3-400 for an all metal version that still uses the wrong mechanics for rudder pedals, or $500+ for something quality made and accurate, and nice to use. These fall inline with the last category along side the Yoko and Redbird options. Head and shoulders above any of the lower price points. Full metal construction, very adjustable, accurate rudder pedal and toe brake movement. If youre serious just spend the money. Anything cheaper is a waste.

Great Pedals
First Pedals after CH Products Pro Pedals. I love my CH Pro Pedals to death, but these are so nice! Really like the “hanging” feeling of using them, rather than the sliding back and forth of most flight sim pedals. I got them because I felt like the Ch Products pedals didn’t match the feeling of real flight pedals and I felt like the real feeling is important for transferring practice skill over to a real plane. These are much more like my experience in a 172.I use these pedals to practice flight training in a Cessna 172 on XPlane with Pilot Edge. Compared to the amount of money flight training costs, these are totally worth it.

Great pedals
These are built like a tank and far superior to any of the plastic “twist” axis pedals on the market. I don’t have any boutique pedals to compare these too. Other than the unique design and being very precise (like the Warthog HOTAS), these allow you to reset your foot in a position and hold the rudder in a way that counter acts torque from your sim aircraft’s engine which is a great addition to your flight simulator experience if you are a helicopter or war bird sim pilot. If you only fly modern jets, you don’t need these, except for possibly older aircraft like the F-14 which uses the rudders for roll at high alpha.

Incredible precision
These rudder pedals have incredible precision, which is what I was looking for. I can easily make accurate minor adjustments with these. The only kind of negative thing that I can mention is that the toe pedals (brakes) are a bit soft, there’s not much resistance. I’ve had people complain that they accidentally press the brakes during flight instead of moving the pedals. I personally haven’t had this problem as I make sure to press the axels rather than the pedals themselves. I also had someone say they didn’t like the width of them. It’s important to note that the width of these is made to mimic the pedals in an airliner, these aren’t made to imitate GA pedals. I personally have no problem at all with the spacing I find it comfortable. The pedal angle/height is also adjustable too so I adjusted them to a level which makes sense with how I’m sitting and they work great for me. I’m personally absolutely loving these.

Game Changer
After hours of research versus the MFGs & Slavs, I decided to go with the TPRs. In summary, my only regret is that I didn’t purchase a set on release day.I upgraded from a set of Saitek Pro Pedals two weeks prior to this review. The sliding action of those pedals never felt natural to me (RW private pilot), which is why I stayed away from the MFGs. I immediately felt more comfortable and more immersed with the TPRs. With a half hour of familiarization I was taking off in the DCS spitfire, which we all know is almost completely dependent on accurate rudder input.I could never be as accurate with the Saiteks as I wanted and I always had to chase the ball around. With the TPRs the action is smooth and repeatable. I roll into turns in the DCS F14 with ease and have no issues taking off or landing the DCS warbirds.I feel that some of the negative reviews during release are very minor and nit-picky. The braking feel is not as metallic and rough as suggested…I would have never noticed had a youtube video not mentioned it. Initial set-up can be a bit tedious, but be patient and get it right. For most this will never be touched again. Even with their weight these will slide on carpet, but so does every other set.One thing to watch out for during initial set-up is the position of the brake sensor ball joints. You can easily leave these in a position that will side load them during action and probably cause them to break. I believe one review shows such a break. After adjustment of the brakes, I made sure to loosen the jam nut and re-center the ball joints. Sounds complicated, but it really isn’t once you’re actually making the adjustments. If you’re looking for a more natural, accurate action and don’t want to drop a small fortune into a personal offshore bank account and wait 6+ months (Slavs)…these are the pedals for you!

After years of using my TM RCS (upgraded with Cubby’s HAL sensor), I thought it would be time to get a new set, one that had toe brakes (kinda hard to use an F/A-18C on the Carrier without them), and then I discovered that TM made a new set. They are big, but I was surprised that they were not heavier than they look – but they are heavy enough. I would recommend that you mount them to a platform or sim cockpit if you need them to stay put.Adjusting them is easy, once you set the toe brake angle, it’s unlikely you would need to adjust them again.I do not use Target, since DCS pulls in all the devices, so I can use all the axis in game. (DirectX limitation) -They are quite sensitive, and easy to adjust to your play style. I wished TM put some sort of damper on the pedals though, if you move your feet off them fast, they slam down (so don’t do that). This is pricey – but since my last RCS (Upgraded with HAL) stayed strong since 1993 and my HOTAS Cougar (Also upgraded with HAL) since 2003, I have had no issues with TM products. I would recommend to get these if you can afford it, and need the precision of a quality RCS.

Super Precise Pedals
I mainly fly helicopters, so I needed accurate and sturdy pedals. These are just that! While calibrating (and flying in DCS) I could see the tiniest movements were being read in. It really takes helicopters to the next level! For shipboard operations they really help too, but for anything else, I wouldn’t be able to justify the cost. But to be fair, they are all metal, use Hall effect sensors and as a result are super precise, have toe brakes, and you can easily change the springs without tools or disassembly, so they are the ultimate rudder pedals for flight sim.

Best rudder pedals out there.
If you want the top of the line rudder pedals and are willing to spend the money, you can’t go wrong with these. I am a pilot in real life and a simmer and these are the best I have ever used.

Well worth the price
I held off on buying these for a long time because of the price, but I am regretting waiting now that I have them. These are worth every penny and are perfect for any flight sim setup. Especially if you fly helicopters or warbirds. Not needed so much on newer fly by wire aircraft except on fringe case instances or taxiing on the ground.
