I got this monitor for my Mac mini and it works great. I got the 16 inch. The colors are great. It has 2 speakers that are good also. It came with everything shown. The cover is a nice touch also. I would definitely recommend this monitor. Thank you.

Product opened and tested, unfortunately the display has stuck pixels (green spot), no damage on the packaging or display box so this appears to be a manufacturing defect. If there was quality control, I’m sure this would have been picked up… right??? Disappointed!UPDATE – please read!!So as above I did have a issue with the monitor as shown in the pictures, obviously I gave this one star. However after placing my one star review I received a message from thier Customer Support Team namely Mia, who reached out to see if they could solve my issue with the product. She was willing to ship a replacement monitor due to the one I recieved being defective, unfortunatly I dont live in the United States so a replacement wasn`t an option, so Mia was kind enough to offer a full refund. I`m happy to say, full refund recieved.Amazing Customer Support by Mia, she took the time to reach out to address the issue I had with thier product so I have changed the overall rating to five stars to reflect this experience with thier Support Team.Mia – Five Stars ????

This one looks better than my Mac Air M2’s original screen. It’s not even on its top brightness level. Light, easy to carry, crisp with additional HDR feature. It comes with two type-c cables, a type-c-to-hdmi cable and a type-c charger. The only caveat is that using the menu is a bit over complicated.

  4. willearnest

Easy to set up although I did need to get longer cables because of the setup. It is not attached to a laptop but to a mini PC. Works as expected out of the box. Bright and clear image. Fit into just enough space again based on the setup. For the moment using the sound connection (via headphones) and clear sound. For the price I don’t know how you would beat it.

Quality product and excellent customer service.

I’m really happy with this purchase! The picture quality is very good, especially considering the price.Just a quick tip – the monitor uses an external power supply connected to the screen with a USB cable, so be sure to use the USB cable included in the box. I first tried a different USB cable that was sitting in my drawer. My USB cable didn’t power on the screen, so stick with the original one to power your monitor.

Speaking on the 14” 2k monitor specifically, this monitor is the best.I’ve tried several travel monitors at around this price point and nothing compares. The brightness and resolution is top notch, easily viewable in the sun. I’ve been using it daily for both a dell laptop and a MacBook Air for travel. Both quickly recognize and power this bright screen only over a thunderbolt cable. It’s very thin and easy to put in the same pocket as the laptop in a backpack.A bonus that I started doing is using it as a portable gaming setup. You can plug in a switch over the USB c cable (no need for the dock), and plug in an external battery to have passthrough charging. It does seem to take an extra unplug and replug (and you need to make sure the battery bank supports 15 or 12v charging), but it does absolutely work!I wish the case was a bit better designed, it’s pretty easy to bump it out of the two angles that are notched. The build quality is okay: the plastic feels a little thin. The buttons to change brightness / volume are just also a little confusing. But considering how portable and inexpensive this is, it’s still well worth the cost.

I have been using this monitor for a little under a year and it is GREAT. I love the flexibility of the monitor, using it with both a laptop as well as with a Samsung smart phone (Z Fold 6).I recently had an issue with the monitor and reached out to customer support. I was very impressed with their quick responsiveness and willingness to help solve my problems.I look forward to using this monitor for in the upcoming years; knowing that customer support has my back.

I have been using this for a while now and I had also ordered another two, a Viewsonic and an Asus. This is my third screen running off a docking station and I use it horizontally which is perfect for my Teams messages. I have also used it when traveling at it hasn’t given me any issues so far. My coworker actually ordered it too because we were both looking for something that would work for us on the go and at home.

Have no issues with the monitor, it works great via Usb-C to Usb-C. Use it daily for my terminal in Fedora Linux.

I have tried many portable monitors. this is the only one that actually delivers 400 nits extend from my PC laptop. I also tried it on macbook air 15 m2, it is less brighter on that of PC, but still better than all the other tried portable monitors. Highly recommended the 14 inch version. A single USB-C cable will get you the best display.Speaker is decent for such a small size, definitely not as good as my laptop speakers. But I buy it for the screen. so that’s OK

  12. Nah

I bought this as a second monitor for work trips so that I’m not just working off a laptop screen all day. I also got this so that I can do some gaming in my hotel after work. Well, I just got back from my first trip and I have to say that it worked great! I was able to power this from a single USB C from my macbook with zero issues and have it running at full brightness, resolution, and 144 fps to match the refresh rate. It looks good and has no glare. I also tried this using external power and plugging in my Switch for some Zelda. Again, great performance and very easy to use.It came with 3 nice cables. 2 usb C that run power and a mini hdmi to hdmi. All of these were nice and short and well made. Usually I want longer cables to come with devices but for something that will be sitting next to your computer, it was great to not have to deal with 6 feet of unneeded cable.I would recommend getting a portable stand if you want to have the monitor sit up a bit higher than the case allows. The other thing to be aware of with portable monitors is that they’re bright enough but they are low power devices so don’t expect it to be out of this world bright… you might want to skip using dark mode for some of your applications. Completely usable though and I had no issues with it.

Note: (2nd picture is the 16.1″ 2k version, haven’t had time to get a new pic with this monitor yet but it’ll be 2 inches bigger, which is a plus). Went through like 5 different portable monitors. My search ended with this one. Installed a quick-release VESA backing with it. At home it’s my secondary/admin monitor. On the road it’s my primary monitor for my Legion GO + EGPU setup. Some of my pro’s will be biased to my needs, but pro’s regardless. Will update in a year or less if it prematurely fails.PRO’s1080p 120hz: For this size 4k is just unecessary tbh. If I was pairing it to a higher end rig or a ps4 then maybe I’d need it. But the res and refresh rate are a perfect pairing for it imo. Gaming is still crisp and movement is clear, while media does the same. Other similar 2k monitors are 1600p, which may be okay for some, but for me it has issues with some media with black bars and with native res outputs. In my case, the 1600p wasn’t always recognized off the bat and would take a few restarts to finally get it working.Size: 18.5″ is the sweet spot for not too small and not too big. Fits in my assault pack turned electronics pack with enough clearance even after slotting it into a monitor sleeve. As my admin monitor it’s large enough to comfortably view media content while my main uw is used for games or productivity apps, but not too large that it takes away from the main monitor.Upgrades: If you plan on using the cover it comes with and you’re using an older gen UPERFECT the magnetic cover fails. In my case, the day after I got it (1600p 16.1″ version). This model has 2 flathead screws that keeps the cover in place. I’m not using it since I got a sleeve and VESA stands for any situation, but for those who plan on using it, it should last a while.CONs:Colors: Minor con. It’s HDR, for the price and what it is it looks good after HDR calibration. Just, when compared to my Alienware right underneath it, its much more washed out. It’s an expected outcome though so only a con if you’re comparing it side by side with a pricier monitor.

Monitor works well for gaming, no flicker or screen-tear on fast panning, feels solid. Skyrim in 1080p, average 70-90fps, faces stay clear when panning past other peeps in the game. 144Hz makes a difference. Minor negatives, powered with an external USB-C power supply, only goes to a brightness of 175.8 cd/m^2 (candela per square meter), my other portables I have tested usually top 200 cd/m^2. The only time this might be an issue if you use the monitor in a very bright environment. With the color, the green is off a bit, in sRGB so it only reaches 93% of sRGB. I have a few that hit the 99~100% sRGB mark. Unless you are calibrating your monitors and require multipul monitors to be the same, again, no issue. As expected, the internal speakers are not very good so plan on using an external speaker or headphones. Over all, a very good portable, good for gaming-on-the-go and it’s easy on the eyes and wallet.UPDATE – 2024-08-04 – I had this monitor for a month and a half, using it every day, and I’m noticing it is loosing brightness. Ran my datacolor calibration again and the best it could do was 166 cd/m^2, that’s a ten point loss. Really hoping it does not continue loosing brightness. Three stars now.MORE UPDATE – 2024-08-21 – UPERFECT saw my review and was actually concerned that I was having an issue with my monitor and are taking it up with their quality department. It is nice to see post-sale support for their products.

After comparing many different portable monitors, I chose this one as a gift for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loves it! It pairs perfectly with his iMac, and its slim, lightweight design makes it incredibly portable. The cover is a thoughtful addition, providing excellent protection against scratches. Highly recommend!

I’ve had this monitor for a couple months now, and I’ve been very impressed by the quality of the image. The colors are very good, the refresh rate is great, and the resolution is wonderful. The company, UPERFECT has also been very helpful upon contact for support. All in all, this monitor is the perfect choice for a portable gaming monitor, I would absolutely buy it again.

  18. Dylan

I love my portable USB-C monitor because it’s incredibly lightweight and easy to carry, making it perfect for working on the go. The plug-and-play functionality is seamless, requiring just one USB-C cable for both power and video, which keeps my workspace clean and clutter-free. Its vibrant display delivers sharp images and excellent color accuracy, enhancing productivity and even streaming quality. Whether I’m traveling or setting up a dual-screen workspace at home, this monitor is a reliable and versatile companion.

This is what I wrote for my review and provided 5 stars I needed to take a quick road trip and wanted a second monitor to replicate my normal work environment.  As soon as I arrived at my destination I was asked to edit a document.  I pulled up my laptop and the UPERFECT 2K Portable Monitor, 14″ Ultra Slim Portable Laptop Monitor and was able to use the second monitor and my laptop monitor to edit the document.  The screen brightness was great, the connectivity to the laptop was simple and everything just worked as expected. This monitor takes up very little space in my backpack and is very light.  I forget that I am carrying it around.  On the way back home, my wife wanted to watch a movie but did not want to watch on her phone.  I gave her the monitor and she connected it to her mobile phone and was able to watch a movie on a much larger screen than her iPhone.  She really liked using the portable monitor. This monitor saves time, is lightweight and very easy to use.  I am glad I made this purchase.

Great monitor, good brightness, and sharp text and images. There was an issue with the one I bought but it was quickly replaced and resolved by uPerfect. Excellent buy!

  21. Richard

Love the clarity and brightness. Bright enough to work outside. Sharp enough resolution for small fonts and big spreadsheets. Also, the magnetic case is strong enough to be able to hold the monitor horizontally or vertically and to adjust orientation without falling down. …I bought two.

  22. K. Shay

The device is solid, thin, and the display is beautiful. When hooked up to my corporate, Dell laptop, I use it as the primary display as it is that much better than the stock Dell display. Hookup is easy. I did have some technical issues after a few months but the customer service was top notch. I would buy again.

Talk about a fantastic deal. I previously had a Samsung portable monitor that was very thin with only a USB-C connection and it cost me $400. It was a little lighter, but it was so thin. It ended up breaking inside my laptop bag from normal carry. This one is sturdy slightly bit more thick, but not thicker than my laptop itself. It has way more connections. The 2K is perfect. I never even used the 4K on my old portable monitor because the everything was too small. It came with a cord for plugging into the wall, which worried me that it wasn’t portable, but I had my first meeting And it worked without the cord just plugging into the laptop just fine and literally the people in my meeting wanted to buy one. I had a meeting with my tax guy and he wanted to buy one!I am amazed that this was only $129. I am getting a second one for my trip to the Philippines. The price, the quality, the functionality cannot be beat. When I get the second one, I will send up a picture of the full set up. I’m using an Apple M3 max pro laptop.

Got one for traveling, then got another two after a week. :)Pros:- Cheap! (At least I got it for ~$120+tax, compared to an almost technically identical ASUS for ~$370.)- Lightweight (~1200g / 2.6lb, with cover.)- Resolution is indeed 2560×1600.- Comes with an iPad-style stand/cover.- With my laptop (Framework 13) all three monitors run through USB-C just fine, without needing additional monitor power.- Full-size HDMI socket (compared to mini or micro HDMI).Cons:- USB/HDMI sockets are on the side, so you’ll have cables sticking out. Consider getting a USB-C L-shape adapter (AKA 90-degree USB-C male-to-female adapter) or a cable (look for 100W and 40Gbps compatibility) for a cleaner setup. Similar L shape adapters exist for HDMI.- Brightness was okay for me (I keep it at 90% there), but on my other monitors I usually have it at ~50%, so it might not be enough for some people.- Daisy-chaining USB-C monitors is not supported, and the second port can’t be used for anything other than additional power.- Speakers suck, but that’s expected.- The monitor’s UI buttons are a trial-and-error game.Overall, it’s a bargain for the price, but let’s see how well it holds up.

I recently purchased the UPERFECT 2K Portable Monitor to use with my Lenovo Legion Go, and it has exceeded my expectations. Here are some key points:Lots of Input Ports: The monitor offers a variety of input options, making it highly versatile and easy to connect with different devices.Good Image Quality: The 2K resolution provides sharp and vibrant visuals, enhancing my gaming and productivity experience.Lightweight and Portable: This monitor is very thin and lightweight, making it easy to carry around and perfect for travel or business trips.Good Included Case: The included case is a nice touch, offering additional protection and convenience. The only minor issue I encountered was with some small fonts that were a bit difficult to read. However, this is a minor inconvenience compared to the overall performance and value of the monitor. Additionally, the customer service has been excellent, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.Overall, this is a fantastic purchase for the price, and I highly recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars!

Before I provide my review of the UPERFECT 2K 144Hz Portable Gaming Monitor 18″, I wanted to give a shout out to UPERFECT’s Customer Support. They were great to work with and did everything to ensure I am a satisfied customer.I purchased this monitor in April ’24 for multiple purposes; Second monitor with my laptop while travelling, second monitor for my Samsung Dex, and gaming console screen for the kids in car on long road trips. This monitor does not disappoint with the the color quality and its versitality. The colors are vibrant when gaming, and natural when used for photo editing. I appreciate that the monitor includes a mini-hdmi to hdmi connector as this facitated connecting to my laptop, Nintendo Switch and my PS4. They also provide a USB-C to USB-C cable that I use to connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8+.After three months, the monitor did stop working. It would turn on but nothing would show on the screen. I reached out to Uperfect and they sent me a new monitor. No fault to them the new monitor did arrived damaged. Uperfect’s Customer Support again took care of the situation and sent another new monitor that has been working flawlessly for the past montha and half.Updateing my review as the monitor continues to work awesomely.

This monitor is very portable because of the detachable leather case you don’t have to purchase a separate bag or case when you bring it along for travel. Nice picture quality and quite durable. Highly recommend this monitor.

  28. Berke

Firstly i want to say this review is based on a short usage, having said that, i have found image quality quite good on comparison to my laptop’s 1080p screen, it was very noticible, for refresh rate side, i think a stable 60 hz is enough for anything in most times. As i have spectated on monitor, its hdmi and both type c ports are on right, it would be better one type c were on left or it could be located leaving some more space among them, because in case you get a L type type c cable and you have to use both type c ports to run it, you might not make it. otherthing is that included stand is very unreliable , you will probably have to get a additional stand, overall this portable monitor is a good quality display, as i experienced to now.if it would , things change or i would like to annotate some more , i’ll edit.

Hooked it up to everything with a video out in the house. Brightness is very good and you will need to adjust the settings to get an image you’re happy with. I mainly purchased this to serve as a larger screen for gaming with my laptop and steam deck. The laptop powers the screen no problem, but I recommend plugging in the power cable for gaming on the steam deck so you don’t drain the battery fast. The speakers are a welcome surprise, but you’re better off plugging in headphones to the included 1/8th headphone jack. The case/stand that comes with is well designed to protect the screen while in transit. The whole thing actually fits in my laptop bag so it’s super convenient. I love that it came with all the cables you need to hook up to anything compatible and a power brick. It’s powered with 30 watts so you can actually use a mobile charger to power it when you need too. At home I plan to use this as a secondary monitor on my main PC. It hooks up right to the video card with an HDMI connection. Overall, very pleased with the monitor and it has become an essential part of my travel kit. Easy to use, company for travel, rugged enough to pack in a bag, flexible power requirements. This is the best portable monitor in this size available currently. If you have a need for it’s specific use case, this guy won’t disappoint.

TLDR: Buy this monitor. You won’t regret it.I bought this monitor to go along with a small form factor PC(SFFPC) build and I couldn’t be happier with the screen quality and ease of storage. This monitor as well as my PC, keyboard, mouse, wifi antenna, and all necessary cables fit loosely enough in a small carry-on case to have room for the future purchase of a gaming headset.I wanted to live with this for a little while before writing a review. Now that I’ve used it fairly heavily over the course of a month, I feel safe to comment on the quality. At this screen size, I can’t imagine gaining anything by paying more for a 4K display. The colors are vibrant and it’s very much bright enough to give you an immersive gaming experience (don’t forget to optimize your settings!). I don’t recall seeing speakers being advertised as even existing, but they do exist, and I would qualify them as just okay. To give you context, if you’ve spent most of your life using a laptop’s speakers, this will be a tiny step up. They have a very nice sound. When a car beeped it’s horn in-game, I looked outside to see if my wife was trying to get my attention. They’re just not very loud. This may be due to them facing away from you and could possibly be remedied by direction the sound toward you in some way. Now, there is a slight caveat, but this will be a huge shoutout to the seller. The advertised screen resolution is only attained through the USB C cord and I’m not aware of any GPU with a USB C output. You are otherwise left with 1080P if I’m not mistaken. DO NOT LET THAT DETER YOU. Immediately after purchasing the monitor, the seller sent me an email explaining there is such a thing as a DisplayPort to USB C adapter cable, linked me to one example of one (no strings attached, no reason to believe they are affiliated), and said they would refund me the cost of the cable. I was skeptical at first. It just didn’t seem like something any normal seller would do. Not only did they refund me for the cost of the cable (tax included), I paid extra for expedited shipping and they refunded that, too!Bottom line: the picture quality is amazing, and I would 100% recommend this seller!

Monitor worked well for over a year, and when it eventually had an issue later on UPERFECT’s support was very helpful in working with me to find a solution.
