    Great computer

Easy to set up, decent price works well for me.

Excellent machine for the price as a desktop replacement that is also portable.

I use this essentially as a portable desktop. The processor is fast enough to not be an issue and with a USB-C hub I can use 2 external monitors and a couple of external hard disks for storage and backup. The memory can be upgraded, but I’ve not done that yet. I did put in a 2TB SSD which gives lots of very fast local storage so it’s pretty responsive. It’s not particularly light or small, but I can move it very easily if I need to, unlike an actual desktop. Mine is plugged in all the time, so I don’t really have any comments on the battery life. For me, a nice feature is that it has an Nvidia GPU which allows me to play with parallel programming. Overall, it’s really perfect for my use.

Works great for everything i need

I recently went back to college for mechanical engineering and it works great with Solidworks(CAD) and multi-tasking as well as running video games at a high frame rate. Love this setup

    Dell g15 purchase overall 4/5.

Okay, so it does come with a 3060, however it is just the mobile. So don’t get too excited. This machine runs great so far. It has a wonderful display to my surprise. The key board layout is nice and quiet compared to other gaming laptops I’ve owned. Con- the battery will get you like 3 hours maybe 4 if you are smart. It’s heavy but not to heavy. Tbh the charger is also a little bulky. Also the ssd slot does not come with a spare bracket. Fun fact you can buy the bracket and copper heat plate on website. You will need both if you wish to install a nicer ssd. Over all great machine for the price, especially if you wait for a sale.

    DELL Once Again Doesn’t Disappoint

This laptop is another quality product from DELL. I usually prefer the XPS line for both desktop and laptop computers but I wanted a less expensive option for my son so I chose this and I have absolutely no regrets. My only complaint is that it’s a bit heavy but it’s definitely worth every penny. Another satisfied Dell customer.

    Working great so far !

I have not had the laptop long, but so far it is working great. I got this laptop in desperate need of a better one as I had to leave home for an extended period of time, and my old core i5 laptop with it’s limited 8gb of memory was killing me.I needed a laptop with a decent RTX graphics card as I do 3D rendering with my home desktop and I wanted to be sure I got a laptop that would at least let me set the scenes up okay while I am away from home. This laptop does that great, but it does fall behind a bit when it comes to trying to preview the renders or do a full render. Not the fault of the laptop, rendering requires a very beefy GPU, and you can only do so much with a RTX 3060 from a laptop. It’s not as good a true RTX 3060 that you use in a desktop.Anyway, aside from rendering, so far it has worked great for the few games I play. I am not much of a gamer, but I do play several games like Guild Wars 2, Fornite, and a few other Gacha and Idle type games, and they are all working great. Even bench-marking with 3D Mark 11 is giving respectable scores. I did also replace the initial 16GB of memory it came for this

    Crucial RAM 64GB Kit

with as 16GB just was not enough for a power user like me and the newer memory is faster, but the memory it comes with will be fine for most buyers. My only complaints so far is similar to what other reviewer have mentioned. The 256Gb SSD it came with is decent and has a okay speed (at a bit over 3000Mbps), but it is just not large enough for my needs, so I ordered a 2Tb replacement drive. Like others mentioned, if you want to install a new SSD, you will need to buy a

    3rd party bracket and heatsink

to allow the SSD to be secured down because the existing drive is a 2230 size and the parts it comes with won’t be enough to secure a 2280 SSD.Another complaint is the motherboard and casing of this laptop were clearly designed to hold a second NVME drive, but the board itself does not have the related components built onto it to add one. I just don’t get why they did not give us the ability to use that 2nd NVME slot for a slightly higher price. I cannot imagine it would have the manufacturer much to have that 2nd set of parts for another drive and would have greatly increased the value of the laptop. I am forced to use a single 2TB NVME drive installed (supposedly it can support up to 4tb, but was not willing to spend that much), and a combo of a few USB external drives for storage of my 3D assets and all that. The only other things of note would be the mouse pad can be a little tricky to use (but most will use a external mouse anyway so not a huge thing), and I don’t mind the keyboard much, but I do wish the arrow keys were a bit more regular size, but this is a minor annoyance. If there was one other thing I wish it had, it would be more USB ports. It only has 2 x USB 3.1 ports on the right side, and 1 x Thunderbolt/USB-C and 1 x USB 3.1 port on the back. While this is good for most people, I would have liked to have at least 1 more USB-C port for data use only (since most will use the thunderbolt port for a dock), and/or another USB 3.1 port on the left side of the laptop (which currently has the LAN port and Headphones/Mic port).Other than 1 BSOD I have gotten so far (GPU related), this laptop is working great nad it not super heavy (which is a big plus for me). I did decide to get a nice little

    cooling pad

for it to assist with keeping it cool while I work on rendering (since it is very CPU and GPU intensive, causing a lot of heat), and while I don’t plan to use it on the go much, as many others have pointed out, the battery will not last a super long time. Most people don’t realize just how much power this little laptop needs and the size of the battery just won’t allow it to last very long. This is pretty much expected for a gaming laptop. If you want a longer lasting laptop, then you better expect to get a much more expensive laptop (which will also weigh a lot more to accommodate a larger battery), or a less powerful one.My only real regret is that I did not buy the i9 version with the RTX 3070 Ti GPU since I do use it for rendering. This would have greatly improved my rendering ability, but the extra cost and the fact that I could not get it on the payment plan are the reasons why I did not go that route. If I was not in such a hurry to get it, I would have preferred to get the better model. Maybe some day I can go on eBay and get parts needed to replace the board and CPU to get those specs, but that will be a down the road thing.

    Good computer, but rather heavy

I’m a Mac guy, but I needed a Windows machine with good graphics capabilities. This fits the bill. It’s an excellent computer – fast and responsive, and with ample drive space, memory and ports. The primary negative is that it’s heavy, and I need to use it as a laptop and travel with it. If it mostly sits on your desk or you just move it at home from one surface to another, then it works very well as a desktop substitute.

    Rendimiento

Si bien el rendimiento es muy bueno me decepcionó que no trae el puerto adicional para instalar otro disco duro ssd, en la ficha técnica lo trae pero físicamente el puerto no está.
