    5.0 out of 5 stars

    I literally love this computer.

I came from a high-powered (at the time) laptop that was very bulky and huge, had terrible battery life, and was extremely heavy. This thing is like a breath of fresh air. It’s literally 4-5x faster than that PC was (an i7 9750h) according to Cinebench. The 8845HS is an amazing CPU. If you put it into iGPU only mode, along with quiet mode, the fans literally don’t turn on sometimes. That’s incredible for a laptop that’s so good at gaming. There’s something really special about playing a game like Minecraft on this laptop in Quiet mode. It feels so effortless. No jet engine fan noises.I am an app developer and college student, and this laptop just makes so much more sense than others. I can easily get like 5-6 hours of battery life out of it. That would not be possible with an Intel laptop.Realistically, are you really going to use a laptop long enough that a high end nearly desktop class Intel CPU will be worth it? Right now, I’m extremely confident that the Ryzen 7 8845HS is plenty enough for most people. Trust me, if you get a higher end CPU because you want it to last like 5 years, you’re NOT going to enjoy the experience when that time comes. It’ll get hot, be extremely loud, and just overall be a bad experience. This thing really doesn’t heat up very much. It does heat up, but it’s impressive to me how little heat it puts out *in comparison to most other gaming laptops*. As I write this, the CPU is running at about 35-38° C (iGPU only mode, but it’s so easy to switch it back on) just browsing the web. As a test, earlier I ran a very intensive multi-core build in Android Studio, which only brought it up to about 75° C at the most. It recovered back down to 42° C within 30 seconds of the build finishing. This is with performance mode on. I can easily switch it on during builds and right back off when I finish with a key combo.Gaming is a great experience as well. It definitely does get quite a lot louder if in performance mode, but I use Auto or Quiet mode most of the time. I can play Elden Ring just fine on Auto. Auto mode brings things down to a very manageable level. All of this is amazing for a laptop of this caliber.Honestly, I really think the Ryzen 7 8845HS + RTX 4070 is the sweet spot for this current generation. It’s kind of the perfect match of efficiency, speed, and decent battery life. This is the one.
