    Grandson loves it

Wish I’d seen 8 gb but it’s not a big deal I can always add more . It’s a really nice laptop that he loves playing games on. He did say battery goes pretty fast but I’d expect that on a faster machine and he does play games that require more battery. Told him to stay close to a plug in.

Overall good, but asked for a i5-12500H and receive a i5-12450H

Overall, the product is satisfactory. However, I specifically ordered an i5-12500H but received an i5-12450H instead. Given that it was purchased under the “Used – Like New” category, this discrepancy is somewhat understandable. Aside from this, the product has performed without issues so far.

Decently Priced for What it Offers

Good solid laptop.Unfortunately only comes with 8gbs of RAM which is below modern standards for gaming (16gbs minimum) so purchasing an additional stick is really really recommended. No other complaints so far though.

    Best Priced for the Quality!

I’ve been searching and reading about all the different laptops because they don’t make them like my old Toshiba laptop anymore. Mine finally died after replacing parts for over 12 years. This one was missing the RGB customization for the keyboard and I love having 2 mouse click buttons at the bottom of the mouse touchpad but it’s impossible to find that now besides the Lenovo’s Thinkpad. The camera quality could be better than expected and some of the keyboard keys are smaller when trying to type on here but I think this should suffice me for the next several years. I’d suggest buying a webcam for clear picture quality if purchasing this and using it a lot. I also think for the price, they could’ve made the “N” logo on the bottom of the screen light up as well with the keyboard.BTW**TO DISABLE THE TIMEOUT ON THE BACKLIT KEYBOARD:You have to go into Nitrosense. Personal Settings. Keyboard. Press the toggle button next to Disable 30-second backlit keyboard timeout. These instructions are different from the other laptops and took me days to figure out ????

This computer is great I can run 200 fps in creative pretty stable maybe higher. In ranked or tournaments I can run 165 stable or 180 to 190 if I got a little higher. It won’t be stable but 0 lag stutters when connected to a good monitor.I wish I had this review when I got it but I got yall

    Don’t waste your money..

While I enjoyed the computer initially, after purchasing a new 1tb hard drive to install in the machine, I’ve realized the geniuses at ACER have made it almost impossible to change the boot order in BIOS, making it impossible to install Windows from a USB. Why any company in their right mind would do this, I don’t know.. but I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money on this trash.Edit – So I ended having to return the new drive that I bought for the laptop, and purchased an M2 drive, to replace the one that was in there, this was how I solved the problem. The laptop has the ability to add 2 M2 drives, and one 2.5 drive. I wanted to remove the M2 drive that came with it, and just install the 1tb 2.5 SSD… but that was not possible, and I was in contact with support on multiple occasions. Since then, I have had no issues with the laptop. I wish it could be upgraded past 32gb RAM, but I guess this are the limitations that come when buying a “budget” laptop, which this considered to be. Laptop works great for what I use it for, which is video editing. I don’t use it for any gaming, so can’t speak on that part.

    Good Budget Laptop

Laptop so far it works great. My advise is updating your Ram card, DDR5 only, and SSD card for gaming purposes. Love the customize boot up screen. Only complaint is the backlight keyboard doesn’t change colors, it only sticks with White. Beware and read carefully if you like RGB color changes. Other than that, great function working Laptop!

    Good Laptop for the price

The Specs and the price were a great match when I bought it. The laptop is noisy while playing as all the fans start. You can add more memory according to your needs. It comes with a padded sleeve, so you can carry it in a non-laptop-friendly backpack.

Great for quick set up gaming

Really big fan of this laptop. It handles modern games extremely well, the screen is a great mix of size and quality. The biggest thing to keep in mind, this is a great machine for transporting from house to house, or coffee shop, or office. This does not do well with long battery life. It’s a great solution if you are trying to save on space or know you will need to move every now and then to another work/game area. This is not an everyday carry to do office work on the airplane or train. The laptop battery goes fast, and the whole setup is on the heavier side.If you need something to travel with, this isn’t it.If you want something you can set up at home, but the ease to move it every now and then to take elsewhere, this is exactly what you want.

    Great for the price.

For the money it doesn’t get any better. Throw 32gb of ram and an ssd in it and it’s a pretty decent setup. Screen isn’t the greatest, my gpd win mini blows it out of the water in that department. It was money well spent.

With or without upgrades, this laptop is fantastic!

I just recently bought this laptop on sale for about $650 and it was worth absolutely every penny. Even before the upgrade, it could run most medium games with very little lag or stutter. However, upon upgrading it to 32GB RAM, it’s on a whole other level. Currently running Black Myth Wukong at 70 fps with high settings.

My 13 year old gamer loves it!

Purchased for my son’s 13th birthday. The Acer Nitro V gaming laptop has exceeded his expectations! The graphics are impressive, and games run smoothly even on higher settings. The cooling system works well and keeps the laptop from overheating, even during longer sessions. The display is bright and clear, and the 144Hz refresh rate makes gameplay super smooth. The build is sturdy and has a sleek, gamer-friendly design. Battery life isn’t the longest, but that’s expected for a gaming laptop. For this price point, it’s an excellent choice for gamers who want solid performance without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

    Nice Computer

Computer itself is really good and fast. The only thing that slows it down is MS Windows as you know. I have used windows from the start. I used Windows XP right up to 2020, when Internet Security protocols stopped their support, XP was the best, and Windows 7 was the last best. After Windows 7 MS windows went down hill. If Apple would have more user friendly programs, or Apps as they are called nowadays, a lot more people would be switching over. As well as the open software platforms such as Linux, etc. But MS pretty much had a monopoly on the OS being sold on new computer sales and that is how they got so big so fast, and why people did not have too much of a choice, and therefore got used to using the MS windows OS. As you probably know, all the trouble came from the windows updates, anything and everything thatcould go wrong came from the updates. That is why I was able to use my Windows XP until 2020, I neverdid updates. You are probably thinking then why am I buying this computer as MS now forces updates to go throughon all newer computers with their OS on it, as they want to keep control of everything that you do now and want to know everything that you are searching for. Well I got so used to using windows. I like the interface interaction, and now I have to do a lot of manipulating to get the files and such working as older versions. But, once you do, it gets better. Of course I disable updates and Edge. So after a little tweaking this computer works well, although not like MS intended it to work. And one feature of all windows, which I think is the best, (MS will probably do something to it after I post this review) is the backwards compatibility feature. With this feature you can load an older version ofSoftware or an old Game and it will work on the newer computer. As an example I am using Software Programs that are close to twenty years old and Games that are sixteen years old.

    Great value for the price

I’ve had it for a year now, no problems at all. I’m not heavily into gaming, so I don’t expecto top performance from it and I knew this before ordering it. All the games I’ve played in it haven’t had any issues. CPU is powerful but tends to heat up A LOT if using RTX’s DLSS in games. Other than that, everything is fine.

    Ordered 12th gen and was sent a 13th gen…..

I did a lot of research to find a 12th Gen Intel processor… Came across the Acer Nitro 15, described in 4 Models, across the 12th to 14th gen processors, and a choice of five video configs. I chose the 12th gen with the 3060Ti. I was sent a 13th gen with the 3060Ti. I’m crossing my fingers it is not affected by the Intel Meltdown Bug….Hence Why I Ordered 12th gen… The change to the die giving the 13th gen the speed boost has a voltage bug, it’s well documented… The Die width of the 14th gen is smaller, yet shares the same voltage issue due to the architecture. I have to laugh at some of the reviews, People need to know what they buy, so Here is my experience after Using it as a main computer while on a three week vacation: Setup: Basic New OS install interface. Have a MS account, or it makes a new one for you, including an outlook e-mail. Registration with Acer: Good Luck! Links back to Acer are Broken in the script making the process lengthy and a real pain in the ….. I have been attempting it for 12 days and I still have no Idea if the product is registered, it error after error after error…Email reminder after Email reminder, get the idea? Battery: Goes for about an hour and a half gaming, and about 3 hours on Wi-Fi Browsing. You Purchased a High Power Processor!! You can NOT expect any type of battery life!! If you want a long Life battery, get a processor designate as U not an H. With this one, it is best to Use it plugged in! The Battery manager allows you to cap charging at 80%. That’s a nice touch, since you will more than likely use the system docked a majority of the time due in part to the HIGH POWER Processor that is advertised and installed. Fans: in Auto Mode the fans are almost unheard when browsing or working with office software, streaming videos or picture editing. When gaming the fans can spin up to a noticeable Volume. In High mode, they are quite loud at full spin when they are punching 30kRPM keeping things cool. I have found that a few water bottle or soda caps under the back corners helps drastically with keeping your HIGH POWER PROCESSOR and Video card Cool. Sound: The Spatial sound is quite amazing. It’s a full 360 degree surround. It made the gaming quite immersive when you muted the games background music. Ambient sounds were clear, Background movement was easily discernable. So I’m not sure why people are complaining…. Pre-Installed Software: Norton AV Sucks!! Very First removal and replacement!!! MS Office 360/Edge are Gone Because they SUCK! Nitro Sense is Sweet, but annoying with all the notifications. Nitro Sense is a Must Use for this build. It has so many features and tweaks that are quite handy for tuning the laptop to what your current usage needs are. It also has an overlay to keep you totally informed on how your critical hardware is preforming. The standard Temp/Speed/Mem/Proc/Frame rate ect all on a small overlay. Which is Handy for video rendering and gaming. Touch Pad: The touch pad supports gestures and has a finger print reader and pressure point switching. It tracks well, a with a very fine resolution. It’s extremely sensitive out of the box. Some adjustment may be required. Video: Colors are crisp and clear. I was pushing 128FPS on a mediocre internet connection. The screen didn’t cause eye irritation or discomfort after multiple hours of constant use. Keyboard: Standard mini QWERTY with NUM pad and Directional arrow keys. It’s back lit and silent. I like it, the Wife hates it and she made me add gaming KB/Mouse. .. Other Issues: Information on the build spec is limited if available at all. I know it has DDR5 RAM installed, however it is IMPOSSIBLE to know if it is One stick or two. so you have to crack the back and VOID the warranty by opening the case to find out! If your rendering or FPS Gaming it is a necessity to Max it. The secondary NVMe, PCIe slot is limited to Gen2 as the GEN3 slot contains the main drive. Over all, I’m happy with the purchase. I got a great price for a 12th gen laptop, and received a 13th gen, so hard to complain about an additional $150 savings. Just a bit nervous about the intel Meltdown Bug….

    Excellent budget gaming laptop

What can I say? For the price, you’re getting a machine that can play modern AAA games at medium/low settings with ~60fps (tested Horizon Zero Dawn so far, steady 60 at low settings). Can easily run older games at high settings/high frames. Absolute beast for emulation on the go, only outclassed by the likes of the steam deck and rog ally in terms of portability. The specs are decent for an entry level budget laptop. The 4050 is an entry level gpu (especially for a laptop gpu), and so is the i5, but don’t let that dissuade you, this laptop is plenty powerful for the price. The perk of having a 40 series gpu of course is dlss 3.0 and frame gen. The main issue of course is the storage and ram. Both easy upgrades. The motherboard supports two nvme drives (one being gen 4 and the other gen 3) and two ram slots. The first thing I did was upgrade my storage and ram (1tb gen 3 ssd and 32 gbs of ram, an extra ~150) which is necessary if you plan on playing modern games.Overall, a great little entry level machine that you will not be disappointed with. Definitely try to get on sale.

Fantastic Performance and Great Value for the Price!

I just bought the Acer Nitro 5, and it’s exceeded my expectations. For the price point, this laptop is a steal! The performance is fantastic—it handles all my games smoothly, and the graphics look amazing. The display is sharp, with vibrant colors and a high refresh rate that really enhances the gaming experience.I was a bit concerned about it overheating, but the cooling system works really well, even during extended gaming sessions. The keyboard is comfortable to use, and I love the customizable RGB lighting—it adds a nice personal touch. The storage is decent—it’s not huge, but for the price, I’m more than happy with it. Battery life is about what you’d expect for a gaming laptop, and overall, the value here is incredible. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly gaming laptop that delivers on performance, the Acer Nitro 5 is an awesome choice. Couldn’t be happier with it!

Good performaning after figuring out the GPU wasnt being utilized

I recently purchased this laptop and I wasnt happy with the performence at first, then noticed that the NVIDIA 4050 GPU wasn’t being utilized, and the laptop was defaulting to the integrated GPU instead. This affected gaming performance of course.Fortunately, I was able to resolve the issue easily:I went into the Intel Graphics Command Center and turned off Adaptive Sync. Then, I opened the NVIDIA Control Panel and changed the Global settings to use the High-Performance GPU.After making these changesand restarting the laptop, the 4050 GPU kicked in, and the performance boost was immediately noticeable! Games and graphics-intensive tasks now run smoothly without any issues, and I’m finally able to enjoy the full potential of the laptop.Aside from the initial GPU hiccup, this laptop is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a powerful, versatile device. It’s suitable for everything from gaming to video editing to everyday use. Highly recommend, just be prepared to tweak a few settings if you encounter the same GPU issue.
