    Great for gaming

The media could not be loaded.

If your worried about cooling and your buying this for gaming don’t worry buy the computer you will be happy. I was worried about cooling too. After I purchased, i starting reading reviews and i was like ohh maybe this ain’t it. I came to terms if it didn’t cool good I was just going to return it or get a case a motherboard a psu, move everything over and go on with my life. But I ran Microsoft flight sim 2020 for 4 hours straight in ULTRA at 3440×1440 i got GPU TEMPS of 62c and 65c not bad the fans where not that loud you can hear them but nothing jet engine like . Again Microsoft flight simulator is a taxing game and I’m sure if it can run that without hitting 80c it can run pretty much anything . Now as far as using this for rendering I can see where the cooking issues could happen because of the limitations of the case the AIO and just not enough fans or room for airflow . Hope this review helps anyone that’s on the fence. If you get this on sale is a good buy. I priced all the parts and it was going to be a little more to build it .

You may be on your own for video problems.

Tech Support offered ideas but not a definitive fix to a video problem I was experiencing. Was able to resolve, using the internet searches. When I went to let TS know (by email) they had already closed the incident. As far as performance goes, I am very pleased with my machine. I’m a WOW player and my in game experience has vastly improved with the speed and performance of this build.Computer can sometimes be a little (annoying so) slow to come out of sleep mode. I’ve found myself shutting down my computer more often that I did on previous machines, because the boot time is so much faster (now) and rivals exiting sleep mode.

    The beast is great but…

If this has a monthly plan for you I say go for it. If it’s on a partial sale go for it. If you can spare the money go for it. I say this because I stream with this beast and play on it as well. Never had an issue not even when I got it. Runs great however. I will say this now. The fans suck. They’re cheap and my tower gets really hot. I’ve had to replace them with stronger fans to avoid overheating. But other then that I’ve fallen in love with this pre-built. Genuine review. No paid actor. I use this thing alot. Sometimes for hours in a day and runs perfectly fine. Would of put a 5 star but those fans for this expensive of hardware is a tad slacking for my liking but other then that worth the money.

    Dell Customer Service Is awful

I was extremely excited to receive my new PC, plugged it in and no inputs were reading through the motherboard, graphics card or front inputs. I called Alienware support via Dell and they were less than useful. Got redirected 7 times to overseas support that had no idea what a graphics card even was so I had to call a friend that happened to know more than the people that get paid to do this. After all that the fix turned out to not be terrible. I just had to move the ram around (It had gotten loose in shipping) and factory restart the power supply and the PC runs like a dream. Very happy with the gaming experience so far.

    AWESOME system!!

I bought this R14 box NOT because I wanted it for gaming, although it does that VERY well, but primarily because I needed it for post processing of large photo images. A system I built for myself sometime ago died an ugly death and I decided to buy a system rather than build one, especially since parts aren’t easy to get.I’ve used Linux (OpenSuse) rather than MickySoft for years, and tried to install that replacing the ‘Bloze 11 that was on the R14. OpenSuse didn’t like the Ethernet card that is in the R14 so I installed Ubuntu with a bunch of add-ons. Ubuntu doesn’t like to play with the Ethernet well either however, I was able to add my wireless modem. The R14 is not only very fast on the Net, but EXTREMELY quick in handling large photos, which I keep in the tiff format using The Gimp.My only complaint is that there’s no way to control (read that change) the LEDS on/in the R14 as Dell didn’t put that in firmware but software and there isn’t a Linux app. to do that.

    3D Mark Time Spy Benchmark

Was looking for benchmark results when considering this computer and didnt find any so here it is.3D Mark Time Spy 1440p combined score 15,580Graphics score 17,452CPU Score 9,692For the price I feel like it was a good value and a much needed upgrade from my 7 year old pc. I have been using for 6 months and this was my first with an AMD processor. Even with the water cooler it does run much hotter than my old I7 Intel. That being said it has been a solid reliable system and hasn’t overheated or anything. Just used to my watercooled I7 staying around 55° under full load while this one has hit 80° while gaming. I would recommend it to a friend. Just wish it had more M2 slots for adding more ssd.

Had driver issues but doing good

Got it and gamed on it all day and night. Then, after doing the Dell/Alienware updates it immediately started freezing. I read online that uninstalling & disabling all the Dell/Alienware utilities worked for others. That seems to have worked for me. The only other problem I’ve had is crackly audio. I tried everything to. Nothing worked. There’s a headphone jack in the front panel of the PC. I switched to that one & that immediately fixed that crackling audio. So, this means I still have the crackling audio problem if I were to use the ports in the back. I even tried an external audio device.

Thing makes a the intel look like a garbage

I bought a intel i5 12300kf about a year and a half ago and after downloading the games that i wanted and could easily run them with the 3060 that was with it started bottlenecking and couldnt handle anything. it wouldnt even run the browser when i fired it up. This pc starts all my differnt gaming apps immediately all the while being able to start up any app right when it fires up. Ive never felt i needed to overclock it. If feels like night and day. You know you have a powerful computer when you restart it and it starts all your applications right as you get to youre home screen. AND i have a custom backround screen that is using the graphics.

No worries and a great deal!

I was concerned about the fans and cooling as some of the reviews said that it was an issue. After two weeks of use, I can tell you the fans and liquid cooling work great, no issues. I mostly play Call of Duty, and this Alienware R14 performs beautifully. This is my first AMD and I noticed that it does run slightly warmer than Intel. No big deal really, liquid cooling works great and this thing is super-fast. The 3080 RTX is an awesome graphics card and a HUGE upgrade from the latest card installed in my old computer, the 2080 RTX.The Alienware software for fan control and overclocking is easy to figure out.The fans are fine, no need to replace them. Liquid cooling works well cooling the CPU.Just use it for gaming, editing, and streaming. No worriesIt comes in a box with heavy duty foam and the case is covered in a plastic protective film.Arrived on time in perfect condition.I would recommend this computer. It’s clean and built well. The $1845.14 price is decent.Excellent value.

    Awsome, Still Thunder!

Amazing in its dept of design and flexablity of technology. A power house to enslave the masses with liquid cool Ai for the mind. The LG 34″ Ultra Gear with dazzling speed and awsome gaming response makes palatible eye candy pop on the screen before the next foe stills your dreams. Yes the senses are never satisfied as they real from a never ending story of human tragedy. You want to look away amazed from the near instantaneous boot up to internet access, and then your hooked again on meaningless hours of play. Don’t blink, you might lose it all, in a cascade of color and combat gaming second to none, explore the galaxies of your minds eye and realize this Tower of Babble is a reflections of humanity speaking with a two edged sword. You are the victor and the loser as your mind is hooked on the sweeties eye candy on the planet while defending the realm. Pedal to the metal over clocking your Alien R14 liquid cool and your horizons seem limitless until the power goes out again. Happy trails!

    Almost flawless – Overall good

I’ve had this thing for a few months now. I was skeptical considering I’ve built my own PC’s for the last decade. But I recently moved states and took advantage of the 0 interest 12-month payment plan to make things easier.Currently have it hooked up to a 42” LG C2 4K 120hz G-Sync TV. So far this system has crushed everything I’ve thrown at it without issue. Frame rates are reasonably high for everything being maxed out with Ray Tracing on in 4k.Cyberpunk 2077 runs at an average of 68 FPSRed Dead Redemption 2 is around 75 on average.Resident Evil 4 Remake, maxed, is over 100 FPS.The thing performs solid and hasn’t given me much trouble beyond the Alienware software wanting to slow things down.My one and only gripe is that the liquid cooling system is a single fan. Running a Ryzen 9 5900 for hours with everything maxed puts the temps in the high 80’s C, as expected with this silly mistake. No reason not to run a dual fan to this kind of CPU to truly give the hardware longevity. But overall, for plug-and-play, this thing is crushing it pretty well. If I had the full $2400 lying around, I definitely still would have built my own computer though.

My opinion one weekend of gaming in

So backstory I have been looking at upgrading my PC for a while now. I have built a PC before but with the prices of components right now and wait times I decided to go with Alienware. Alienware was not my first choice but I have to say I am so glad I went with them over Cyberpower. The 18-month no interest payments on this machine make it all the more worth it. After ordering it arrived on a Friday. I got home took it out of the box and this thing was VERY well packaged. No damage to anything except the outside of the box having normal wear and tear from shipping. Straight out of the box I plugged it up and downloaded a few select games to test it. First game was Call of Duty Warzone. I have to say I was so impressed on how this PC ran this game. CPU stayed at around 68 C and GPU around 68-70 C on all maxxed out graphics. Everything was super smooth and just everything I wanted. If I had to complain about anything it would more than likely be Windows 11 only because it does have small stutters at time which is common from what I have read. The only issue I have encountered with the PC itself was on my brothers that he ordered (we ordered the exact same pc got it on the same day) and the front panel lights on the tower had went out and would not come back on. I contacted dell support and they did a remote connection. Within 10 minutes Gabriel Hernandez had the front panels back on and going. This ended up being a Bios update issue. The way he handled himself made me have a total different outlook on dell support. I have to say I do not regret my purchase and this experience has really given me a different outlook on Alienware itself. If you are on the fence on whether or not you want to risk buying a prebuilt my opinion is to do it!

    FAST QUIET AND LOOKS GREAT

This thing is fast, quiet, got the water cooled one, and is great to look at as well. I planned a full weekend day to set it up and convert from my old computer and it only took a couple of hours. It was ready to go out of the box with The latest software. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants one of top pre-builts on the market.

This thing rocks. Plays all the heavy hitters on ultra settings with zero problems. Cyberpunk? Easy. Total War: Warhammer 3? Beautiful. Fast, quite and lovely. You wont regret it.Also note that I have not had any problems with blue screens or glitches and shut downs like some others have had. Also have not had to contact support so I cant comment on that either.

    Great PC/Handles anything!!

Overall great PC. Don’t really notice the fans. My only issue is I’ve had it about six months and the liquid cooler just went out. On the other hand, support has been great. They couldn’t find the right cooler for my unit so I have to send the whole unit back which is a little bit of a pain, but the customer service has been great. Would definitely recommend to anybody!!

Box was beat up. PC runs and looks great.

Let me start off that I really like this PC. Came ready to plug and play. Set-up was a breeze and updates were starting as soon as I plugged it in. I opted for the 3080 with the R9 5900. It’s fast. The Alienware software allows for good control of your components from Thermal to Over clocking. Good Price when on sale.3/17/2022Contacted support for a 2 Amber, one White blink. The PC Would not turn on. Waiting for a resolve.3/22/2022Resolved as the HDD was not activating after sleep mode. Changed the program to never let the HDD go inactive.

Plug and play, 3080 handles everything with ease(video editing/ games/ tools). You can play any game on 1440p getting above 150 to 200 fps. New case and liquid cooling is great for thermals. You also get 1 year dell warranty not sure why there are some negative reviews, I mean you get a dead pc, return it or check with dell. Dell support gets your drivers and softwares up-to date. The new case is awesome and looks crazy. Get it before they’re gone, you won’t regret this purchase.

    Overall very happy

I have had this computer for 4-5 months, have been very happy with it, I am able to run most games at max settings with no issues at all Warzone I can run on Ultra but it not as smooth. It is very quiet, good lighting customization, my only 2 complaints are I wish it had more then 2 storage slots, and keeping it clean is kinda difficult especially if you have dogs that shed blowing it out with compressed air only does so much, to fully clean it you have to pull off both sides and pop off the front.

    Amazing

I had another gaming computer and used it for a very long time, said it was great for VR and definitely was not. So I decided to purchase this item and it works fantastic. It’s a little on the bulky side but I love the look of it. Works great with VR as well. Highly recommend. One downfall is that I keep getting a windows operation error when in sleep mode, but does not come on while using so it does not interfere with anything you are doing.

    Runs Star Citizen perfectly

OK I bought this computer for my business because I wanted a computer with liquid cooling. It sounds crazy but over time, dust an lint around my home block the cooling fins and cause my microprocessors to fail from heat. Since it has a screaming video card, I tried Star Citizen on it, which I have never been able to play, and it works perfectly. So all in all, I am very happy with this computer. Also Win11 was very easy to transfer all my old programs and files over. I only spent about 1 day in computer hell getting everything up and running.

    Worth every dollar

Honestly this is my first PC and its running my games (specifically Apex) at 240fps consistently, i havent had a single complaint about its performance, well f-ing doneHad it for over a month now, and heavily used it, the hardware does get hot, (the temp is well within specs, and it doesnt affect performance, just makes my small room warm up after a few hours) but a better cooling unit is an easy fix, overall an amazing product

    Great gaming machine!

I’ve been waiting 25 years to get my hands on an Alienware system. This one does not disappoint. It’s system fans barely hum during normal games and speed up only slightly during a game set to Ultra graphics settings. For years, I’ve had to check game requirements to see if my computer could run the minimum specs(?). Now, that’s no longer a concern. I can run any game I want and at maximum settings.

    Better cord management

Love this pc. Only real problem I had was when I plugged pc in, it sounded like a jet engine! I thought I had a bad fan or power supply. Long story short, I had to open it up and discovered a cord was touching graphics card fan. Once I moved it, it was quiet as a church mouse. One other issue is the alienware command center. It was supposed to update all drivers. I Prichard pc in May updated, and noticed the video card driver was from March. How tho??Otherwise great pc. These issues weren’t enough to deduct star. Highly recommend

    Gorgeous, smooth, silent…

I’ve only had this for a full week so may be a bit early for a review but so far so good.Very smooth, extremely quiet (I’m reviewing the liquid cooled) and has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without breaking a sweat. And she’s not bad to look at… my girlfriend was not too happy about having this in the living room but when she saw it and got to create a theme for the colors of the lights it’s now her favorite thing. Any suggestions on getting her to stop playing on it and go back to her laptop would be helpful though
