An Absolutely Amazing Laptop
When I first looking at this laptop I thought that it would be too good to be true, something within my price range, meant for gaming and powerful all at the same time. After buying it though it has quickly blown away all expectations I had of it, might be because I put 32gb of ram in before ever turning it on. The only thing that has not blown away my expectations is the battery, but that has no effect on me due to it being plugged in all the time at home and only have 3-5 hours of a college life so the low 4-5-1/2 hours, on battery saver life, does not even bother me. the stock 512gb storage is bit meh, but I’ve got a 1tb SSD on the way, The 2050 RTX is amazing, might be biased to this due to my tower pc only have a 1050ti for the entire time I’ve had that thing, and I love it. I love the screen, everything looks sharp and clear. All in all for a laptop that cost me a total of $800 which is including the prices of the rams stick I have put in it and the SSD that is soon to arrive this laptop is a steal and is so worth it.

Great Budget Gaming Solution
A few of us chipped in and got this for a buddy who had to move his main rig to his work studio. He is a professional sculptor and uses his rig to create and print models, then tweaks those models to create molds etc. We game together regularly and he had to drive into the studio in order to make gaming sessions and was often unable to arrange to do so. When he received the laptop he immediately ordered the 32GB ram kit. He can now join our sessions whether he is at home or taking a break at the studio. If he is home, he fires up this laptop which he connected to a large LCD TV. If he is in the studio taking a break or just finishing up a project he can just use his expensive in-studio rig. We play The Division 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint a bunch… those games run great at medium settings and easily go over the 60 FPS that his large display can output. With the 32 GB upgrade he is also able to run some of the apps he uses for his projects and can do some work from home.Great value and a great solution for a budget gaming solution.

For the price and being upgradable is great
Paid $699 for my sons Asus Tuf F15 FX506HF-ES51 and for price and fact you can EASILY add second ram stick or replace both and add second SSD inside was the real deal finish. figured the 8Gigs wouldn’t be able to handle much so I I bought 2 of these Crucial 16G ram sticks ($56 for the pair) to put in my sons Asus Tuf F15 FX506HF-ES51 giving him 32Gigs of Ram and worked perfect. YouTubed how to put in but easy. Just put inside close and done. So decided to also order a Crucial P3 1TB SSD ($38) to put inside as he has secondary SSD slot inside. (Our laptops have 3rd gen SSD slots so buying a 4th gen is pointless). That was just as easy and simple to Format. So I decided to buy the same laptop and then bought 2 32 gig ram sticks from crucial ($100) giving me 64Gigs of Ram, and the same 1 TB solid-state drive for mine and they’ve all done really well. Crucial has been great and reasonably priced thus far. And the laptops have been great and has played some hardcore games. I plan to do some Divinci video editing. So for basically $800 give or take have a Asus Gaming Tuf laptop with 64Gigs of ram and 500TB SSD and 1TB SSD.

One of only two laptops left for severely handicapped laptop users.
First, I would like to thank ASUS and All gamers store for making this ASUS A15 Model FA506 laptop available. It seems the computer industry is forgetting about severely physically handicapped computer users. I especially would like to thank ASUS for having the ONLY two laptops currently made that STILL have the two BUTTONS on the TOUCHPAD. Handicapped people and particularly children with no use of their arms and hands (as is my son) use their CHIN on the touchpad buttons to independently navigate. Independence is important. Touch screens do not work for them, nor does speech recognition if the child cannot speak perfectly and clearly. But manufacturers seem to think those are answers for everyone. That is far from reality. We wanted to update my son to Windows 11. It took quite a bit of research to find an acceptable laptop; and, as previously stated, this ASUS model was one of only two laptops that fit the requirements needed. So, again, thank you ASUS and gamers store for continuing to help the severely handicapped while other laptop makers disregard the SIMPLE need for touchpad buttons. Respectfully, a thankful father.Additional added notes: This laptop does work well and we are happy with it; but, be advised. The laptop sits very low and the air venting intakes are on the bottom of the laptop. So we raised the laptop up with half inch adhesive “risers” (laptop “feet”) on the bottom of the laptop for better for better ventilation and we put the laptop on a plastic or wooden cookie sheet or chopping block since it is used on a bed most of the time. This worked well for better laptop cooling. Also, the power supply does get pretty warm to hot as stated in the manual’s “precautions”. We just lay the power supply on a small block of wood.

Unsupported if you add any kind of memory
“Multitask faster with 8GB of DDR5-5600MHz”I do not know how ASUS tricks W11 into showing 5600MHz because the CPU will only read @ 4800MHz.I added ram and changed the SSD and suddenly Windows task manager is showing my Crucial memory running @ 48000mhz and not the 5200 claimed and displayed in Windows 11.Calling tech support and adding more memory, according to ASUS, voided my warranty .Not happy with ASUS today.

Good deal for an entry-level gaming laptop but has one glaring flaw (which is fixable)
I bought this because I was after a relatively inexpensive laptop that would play some not-too-demanding games. (as in, BeamNGdrive, and emulated PS2 games) And, yeah, it definitely plays those very well, I can’t complain there. Just be aware, though, that if you intend to get online via WiFi most of the time (as I do), the wifi adapter that comes with it is pretty close to useless. I get about 20-30 megabits/second download speed on my other laptop or my phone on my wifi here, but I was struggling to get 5 with this, and Bluetooth connections had issues as well. The recommended replacement for the wifi card, from what I’ve read, is the Intel AX200 or AX210, but I put in an Intel 9260 from a slightly older laptop I had that had died, and now I get the same speeds as before.

Consider upgrading the ram and getting a second m.2
The basic computer is fairly decent and meets most of the requirements for entry level gaming however it really does shine when you upgrade the ram to 32 gigs and get a second m.2 ssd installed. I love the rgb keyboard and tacticile keyboard and how lightweight it is compared to my older laptop the audio quality is superb and it has decent battery life too averaging around 4-6 hours of play on a full charge depending upon the game you are playing this varies but overall I am pleased with this computer and would recommend it to anyone interested in upgrading to a new laptop with capabilities to play games like star citizen or similar games that require more resources and better graphics.

I bought the rtx2050 and kind of disappointed since it performs as an GTX1660ti I upgraded its ram to 32 GB. I loved the 2nd SSD slot and the option to expand memory even more with a. hDD slot available. As you can see it runs hogwarts legacy on graphics in medium/ low and adjusting the resolution. When playing on a TV I’ve experienced some lag tho

There is no function lock option
You will need to hold down FN every time you use F1-F12 (confirmed by a15m call to tech support) I didn’t know this going into it and now it would be too inconvenient to return it. Also there is no Webcam concert built in which I got used to with my last laptop.Seems like it’s great in all other areas though.

i would say its worth it for the price point, mine was made 5-23had a issue with low sound, asus tech support couldnt fix the issue i ask asus if their was a speaker boost they said no .. hum soi found a program called DTS-X-ULTRA preinstalled software, it lets you adjust sound settingsand EQ……●About DTS: X Ultra TechnologyDTS: X Ultra enables sound designers to specify different qualities of each sound, including location, movement, size, focus, and more. This frees game and movie sounds from individual speaker channels, so they can be precisely placed and moved to flow above and around you in three-dimensional space. Sound effects follow the on-screen action and seem to emanate from a precise location, whether a character or object is static or in motion, for a more immersive experience……..●Models SupportedCurrently DTS: X Ultra supports FX506/ FX706 series (ASUS TUF Gaming F15/ F17),and FA506/ FA706 series (ASUS TUF Gaming A15/ A17) ROG Gaming laptops.

An excellent upgrade
When I needed to locate a replacement for a 10-year-old notebook, I engaged in a lot of searching and sifting through various review articles and adverts until I discovered this line and model. I read through its on-line manuals and discovered it could be upgraded with a second SSD and a RAM upgrade, so I also purchased those at the same time. So far, I haven’t discovered anything I wanted to do, computing-wise, that it was not able to handle. It is an excellent blend of capability and portability.

Works for what the recipient wanted it for
This laptop was actually a gift for someone. They wanted it primarily to play Sims as their old laptop was lagging and no longer receiving updates. They were able to connect to wifi and transfer data with no problem. Compared to their dinosaur of a laptop that they were using, this was lighting fast and the battery lasted much longer, so they were very happy with it. So far, there have been no complaints and they are able to play their game with no issues.

Great Start to PC Gaming
I’m just getting into PC gaming, I was debating between this or the Lenovo LOQ. 3050 might leave some people wanting more but if budget is what you’re looking for this is the one. Bought some crucial 32 gb ram as well with this, yet to install the new ram but the base 8gb will run everything you can imagine. Will update the review after the ram and or after GTA 6. I believe that will be the testament to this setup

Just Buy it (v. 2024)
So glad I got this. I didn’t need it for anything intense, this is a casual personal laptop, I’m not bitcoin mining or running enormous spreadsheets. Mostly just watching youtube and doing a bunch of Zoom meetings. After setting up windows 11 and making sure the laptop was generally functional, I upgraded the RAM to 32GB which resolved some initial slowness. With 8GB of RAM out of the box it was running at 66% usage. For a new laptop that’s not good, but not a problem for me. If I was going to upgrade RAM anyway, I’m glad it only came with 8GB. Saved me money in the end. After updating windows, updating the drivers, and updating the BIOS, this thing is better than what I could have hoped for. Battery life seems acceptable and the keyboard is actually RGB, which I didn’t realize. I thought it was just going to be a static white keyboard backlight, so the colors were a pleasant surprise.I haven’t tested the gaming capabilities yet. I am not expecting it to run something like Helldivers II, but I could easily play Skyrim with the higher resolution graphics. Will update this review once I test gaming but, 10/10 if you need a practical and reliable laptop that will likely last you a long time.Edit: It runs Helldivers II seamlessly, no lag, fantastic rendering. Buy it.

A Powerful Machine for Players
The first thing that caught my attention was the robust and attractive design of the laptop. The quality construction is evident from the moment you take it out of the box. The aluminum chassis gives it a premium feel, and the details on the RGB backlit keyboard are simply stunning. The 15.6-inch screen is sharp and vibrant, providing an immersive viewing experience. In terms of performance, this laptop is no slouch. Equipped with a powerful Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card, it handles the most demanding games with ease. I’ve tried AAA titles and online multiplayer games, and the fluidity and quality of the graphics are exceptional. The loading speed is fast, and the system’s responsiveness is remarkable, which significantly improves the gaming experience.Refrigeration is another strong point. The dual cooling system keeps temperatures under control even during intensive gaming sessions, helping to avoid the dreaded throttling and ensuring consistent performance over time. The battery life is surprising for a gaming laptop. Although I didn’t expect it to last long due to the powerful hardware, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 exceeded my expectations. I can enjoy several hours of gaming before having to look for an outlet, which is a big plus for those who carry their laptop everywhere. As for storage, the combination of SSD and HDD offers the best of both worlds: fast boot speed and plenty of storage capacity for games, files, and programs.

Great entry level gaming laptop
Let me preface by saying the last time I purchased a new laptop was in 2005 (Acer Aspire 3000) and while tablets are nice for on the go, my digital life was a hot mess. I needed something that wasn’t wafer thin flimsy and that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. I am by no means a gamer, nor do I play PC games but I was still looking for a laptop that had some heft to it. I stumbled across this one mainly because it was suggested by All gamers store and the price seemed right even though its a 2021 model. After reading reviews and comparing bewteen this and the similar price/spec Acer Nitro, I chose this one because upgrading the RAM and adding an additional SSD drive wouldn’t require a doctorate in computer science. As far as upgrades are concerned I also purchased the crucial 64GB (2x32gb) set as well as a 2TB Crucial NVMe SSD drive when I ordered this as mentioned by an earlier reviewer. The install took all of 10 minutes to pop the back cover off and slip in the new RAM/SSD modules and I was ready to fire this baby up. I figured I would just max the RAM (64GB) and beef up the storage and be done with it so opening the back cover wouldn’t be necessary any time soon.Initial setup was pretty straightforward with Windows 11 and once I got to the home screen I got into the settings and performed all the necessary windows updates as well as the updates for the bundled Asus graphics software. Aside from the McAfee antivirus and the Microsoft 365 trial programs, there was no other bloatware to be found. Once those were uninstalled I was able to customize settings to my liking. The laptop comes as advertised, I wasn’t expecting 15 USB ports on this nor do I require that many. The keyboard is very nice and is a full size with a slightly smaller than normal 10 key number pad. Keys are nice and clicky, not mechanical but also not a mushy membrane either. The backlit keys are a nice touch and can be customised to your liking as long as it’s all the same color. It has about four different modes for pulsing lights or strobe or just on always. The trackpad is great and has the physical right and left mouse buttons and it is mostly centered so you dont brush the trackpad when typing.Out of curiousity I tried the online benchmark test to see how this machine ranked, and surprisingly with the RAM upgrade it ranked in the 92 percentile range (see photos) and the graphics were very smooth ranging anywhere from high 60’s to 130 FPS on ultra settings. As mentioned I am not a PC gamer but hopefully this information will be helpful for those that do partake. I may run some console emulators at some point, but for now I’ll just be enjoying the soft glow from the keyboard lighting.

Very Nice, BUT
It’s a very nice computer with moderate performance. It works exactly how it’s priced. Think of ‘get what you pay for’ in this package. It’ll play games well enough without hiccups if everything is on medium settings for newer games, and very smoothly on semi-older games with high settings.Do not expect to play games such as Body Cam. It’s doable, but the framerate is <30 and sometimes it'll look like a slidehsow if it feels like it doesn't wish to work that hard. It's been a mixed bag between each match. It took it a moment to properly 'wake up' when first getting it. Booting up the thing and getting everything set up may take a moment, but once you have it kicking, it'll keep up with your pace. Heat isn't too bad so far, putting it through a few things and it has gotten warm, but not hot.The weight isn't bad. Though don't take my word for it, it's my first laptop. Now here comes that 'but' part. Battery life is pretty much nonexistent. Keeping it off the charger and playing any type of game destroys the battery life. Fully charged, use the computer, unplugged, and the thing warned me about an hour fifteen minutes in that the battery is nearing it's end. Check the battery itself and it says "5%" and it has 6min of life left. So think of each percentile being ~1min of battery.Other than that 4/5,TL;DR: Medium price for Medium rig, Battery life abysmal without it plugged in. 1% = ~1min

I’ve been able to play Xbox games on it with no delay and downloads happen almost immediately. I did a test between my Lenovo Ideapad and this Asus Tuf Gaming laptop with the same download of a zip file; the Lenovo took 2 and a half minutes to download and this Asus took 45 seconds!!!!The only cons I have so far the battery doesn’t last but honestly, that is expected when gaming and running the fan on performance mode. Then the outside of the laptop looks like metal but it’s definitely not, it’s plastic, and I’m not sure this would hold up to a drop like like it shows in the 6th image.Overall, I’d definitely recommend for entry level gamers and students. No problems at all running multiple programs including streaming Hulu from the app and PowerPoint at the same time.

Laptop is good for school / light mild gaming.
The laptops keyboard is amazing, super quiet. Super awesome RGB. The only problem with the laptop is the cpu ram limitation. The ram is 5200mhz the cpu only allows 4800mhz. I bought 5400mhz ram by accident and the bios and the laptop wouldn’t accept the ram. Besides that the laptop has good battery life, it does run hot sometimes but it’s a laptop after all.
