Teleporting Mousepad. Typed Keys not working!!!

I purchased this computer in Sept 2020. I was excited to get my gaming computer. It was fine. Does work fantastic with my games. HOWEVER… When using the mousepad, the mouse will in fact jump and or not click when you click and does not move smoothly, oftentimes won’t move at all. NOW…when I type on the keyboard, keys will go untyped and MAJORITY of the time, whenever I type, the blinking line before the next character typed will jump randomly to a different part of the paragraph or sentence therefore not accurately typing.I recommend for gameplay, NOT if you plan to type a lot and frequently plan to use the mousepad!!!!!!!

    Worth it

Having this laptop for a few months now and i can honestly say it’s great! However the only thing it lacks is a good mouse. Sometimes the cursor/mouse has a mind of its own and acts stiff as if it doesn’t wanna move, so i find myself having to move my fingers around erratically on the mouse trying to get it right. The battery life could be better being that i find myself charging the laptop way more and sooner then i expect. However i guess that’s to be expected because we’re running games. Overall, pretty great gaming laptop. The games run very smooth on my end!

Does not have 2nd nvme slot for upgrade

Overall, love the laptop. It’s great for gaming, runs well, and is lightweight. The trackpad isn’t the best, so a mouse would be a good addition. My biggest complaint is that it doesn’t have a second nvme slot as stated in the description. If your plan to upgrade the storage, your only path is to either upgrade the stock nvme or add a regular ssd (the kind in an enclosure). I rated it a 3 for value as I feel ripped off by this oversight in the product description.

    Very Good Purchase!

I absolutely love this laptop. I bought it in November 2020 and so far it runs smoothly and performs as good as I had hoped. I bought it for my son who loves playing games like roblox, minecraft and also fortnite (Fortnite runs at about 30 to 60fps). The Volume is ok – could have been a little louder, but its fine. He uses this laptop for school, youtubing and light gaming. Overall, its an excellent laptop for the price. I’m glad I made this choice!

Good Overall but have a problem

We have 3 Asus TUF Gaming laptops for my 3 boys and they have been great for all their gaming and school needs but we are having an issue with this one that we just purchased last week. The camera cannot always be found. My son will be in the middle of class and the camera will stop working and then shows that it cannot be found. Seems that just moving the screen a little helps and I’m thinking there is a connection error but I don’t really know about this stuff. Wondering if anyone else has this experience and can help?

    Great value for money laptop

The laptop came very fast, to Israel in 10 days!! In original box , I added stick of another 8GB of ram, the laptop looks good, the screen is nice, the keyboard is wonderful, it runs very fast, I didn’t used it yet for heavy games , but the overall impression is very good and great value for money, the only big minus of this laptop is the battery life, if you are away from home most of the day and you need laptop with strong battery that’s not yours product, otherwise I can definitely recommend this seller and laptop.

    Battery Issues UPDATE

OKAY! So I have had this laptop for several months now. At first everything was awesome then I had issues with the battery not charging all the way up to 100%. I was very unhappy because that can mean a damaged cell. After doing some research I found that ASUS recommends draining the battery to about 50% a couple times a week and allowing it to recharge, this keeps the battery refreshing the cells appropriately. THIS SOLVED THE ISSUE, so after doing so I have had no problems.

    Really nice laptop!!

The media could not be loaded.

I just purchased this laptop for my birthday just for simple games and school. It runs them really well! I got the sims 4 and Minecraft and it works really nice on severs and downloading custom content for the Sims 4. I don’t have any complaints so far, nothing has crashed or broke. It was worth the money! I haven’t had any problems because I got it’s about a week ago. But in my opinion if you are looking to run very high quality games i would invest in a PC. Overall my experience with this laptop is excellent!

I don’t care what anyone says about Laptops not being a gaming system

This laptop I’ve been saving up for two years…due to covid and once I got this beautiful baby she’s been nothing but good to me I can play the sims 4 with no lag with all the custom content, I can play ark, GTA, and even Planet Zoo! I highly recommend this laptop and I want everyone with this laptop to benefit from becoming a youtube gamer, or twitch gamer because it’s hella worth it. I’m a college student and this has been an amazing blessing of hard work and well a few stimulus checks before paying tuition! For everyone who hates the fans of the laptop, you can change that baby up to silent, performance, turbo, and more which I realized I haven’t seen other laptops do that. You want that cool laptop keyboard glow we all do and the ASUS has it! I’m in love and I’m enjoying every moment it’s worth the buy and every time you choose to buy this beautiful thing you, of course, get your money worth inside the laptop you can have insurance, ad blockers, virus cleaner, and even Xbox gamer pass is avaliable.

    Worth every penny.

The 144hz screen is why I chose this laptop and it doesn’t disappoint. I upgraded the ram to 16gb and installed another m2 SSD. Which was kind of a pain, since the bottom panel was a difficult, time consuming process to remove without cracking it. But the performance overall is great! Played Cyberpunk with no issues (after upgrading RAM of course). The Ryzen 5 4600 CPU is a monster compared to the 9th gen i5. Overheating isn’t a concern at all. It runs pretty cool for a gaming laptop. My only gripe is the speakers. I’m deaf out of my left ear, so using a headset isn’t the greatest since I can’t hear anything to the left of my character, so I rely on the speakers. Some games are louder than others, but they’re all pretty quiet. RDR2 is very hard to hear unless I have total silence around me. Most people have functional hearing in both ears, and will probably use a headset, so it’s just a personal complaint and shouldn’t really affect your decision. Bottom line: I love this laptop.

    Fantastic Laptop

This laptop is fantastic, don’t bother with the nonsense on YouTube, only DigitalFoundry was correct ! The processor is tuned very well and it does hit high temps when boosting, but that happens to all Ryzen, it’s the higher vcore needed for the boost and this laptop does expel the heat efficiently when the clocks drop. I would advise anyone using this laptop to go into the power plan and change the settings to the attached pic, while noting that 99% will cut power by a lot! What is being ignored by the most it seems is the quality of the audio, it’s very good for a Windows machine! The 144 hz screen is very good, it isn’t color accurate but it’s a gaming laptop!!! If you want a great value “gaming” laptop then this is it!UPDATE: Bios 313 brings a lot of bug fixes. This new bios seems to do the same thing that the new Ryzen 5000 compatibility update has done for Ryzen 3000 on the B450 boards, more stable boost clocks and vcore probably via the new Agesa. Well worth the update!

Great Value for the casual gamer

This Laptop is great at whatever I put it through. I haven’t had trouble with any games I’ve set it to. Full Discloser: I haven’t set it to any of the very demanding recent games and don’t plan to but here’s what it’s done very well for me, Kerbal Space Program, Satisfactory, World of Warcraft, Trailmakers, and Minecraft. Zero issues with any of those. So for sure it will run whatever your preteens are playing and as far as steaming, school, and lasting a long time, this Laptop will do everything but maybe the very most graphicly demanding games.

THIS IS THE BEST GAMING LAPTOP FOR A COLLEGE STUDENT EVER

I was skeptical how well this gaming laptop would perform considering its price at $750 at the time. I love how that there are 3 modes you can choose from: Silent, Performance, and turbo. When running games like league of legends, overwatch, Dota 2, Valorant, WOW, SWTOR, they ran very smoothly with hitting always +60FPS. The only downside is the battery as it can drain rapidly after 2-3 hours of use (turbo on, without charger). I always recommend to people who wants this laptop or any gaming laptop is to use the charger at all time when gaming but at Silent mode, it can stay up to 6-7 hours with full charge initially. I think for the average gamer who does not demand and need intense graphics and CPU performance and is a student at any college would benefit this gaming laptop.

I went into my search with specs I needed and a budget, this is a great middle-ground. You get a powerful laptop, and it gives you the option to expand the RAM and hard drive at a later date when you need it. I wish all laptops could accommodate upgrades.

    Rainbow oooh gaming good hahaha

When I got the product it was a fantasic open. And the setup easy and quick. It’s good for gaming but not uber hyper ultra gaming like red dead 2. My major disappointment is the battery life which is abysmal lasting only about two hours while gaming off its power cord. But so long as you keep it plugged in then your good to go. I can’t hate on it just for its battery life and I really like the slick look and feel of it.

Good quality for gaming and office work

I’ve had this little lap top for a few months now and I love it so much! I am not a computer wiz or very much of a gamer, unlike my fiancè who builds his own computers and games all the time. He recommended this one for me for the few games I do play and to use for school work. It works great for school and gaming! It doesn’t freeze and is very fast, plus I love the light up keyboard!

    Great price-quality ratio

I’ve had it for over a month now and was waiting to leave a review. Very satisfied with it (got the AMD CPU version). I can play all the games I want, some of them are AAA latest titles (had to lower graphics settings to medium for a steady FPS) but overall I’m impressed. I’m using a neat cooling pad so overheating has not been an issue so far. Thinking of upgrading RAM and SSD though. But overall I strongly recommend this laptop.

Love this laptop. I play video games but ulis wouldn’t consider myself a hardcore gamer but it could handle all the recent games no problem. DEFINITELY a good starter gaming laptop. I also do digital art and it handles everything perfectly. May want more ram and space though but its upgradable too so that’s no issue at all. I still managed to download a 5 games and my art programs with no interruptions. And a pretty good graphics card for the money too.

Overall, I love it. That said, the cons. Hot during gaming and fans are noisy. Not horrible but I can handle it. But once again, this thing overall is awesome and it’s really fast. Then again, I was using a 7 year old Asus with a core i7. This is much faster than that. I wish added a 1tb add in the drive bay. I’m very happy with it the way it is at this point. Love Asus products.

Very fast for budget gaming laptop.

ASUS has some outstanding laptops and this was one of them. It was a christmas gift for a young grandson. It’s been several months now and he uses it every day and also carries it with him wherever he goes (and I mean everywhere). He’s still very happy with it, primarily because it has enough cpu power and ram to play just about any game Steam has to offer.

Really happy; great bargain on a solid gaming laptop

Overall, I’m really glad I made this purchase; I spent about two weeks pouring over possible replacement computers and comparing stats after my previous laptop reached its end-of-life. I wanted something that could run my games on the highest settings but also something that would be flexible enough to use for graduate school and professional work. I also knew I wanted something durable, as I use my laptop daily and plan to have it for many years. It’s been a couple weeks since my purchase and here are my thoughts:Pros:- Fast. Even when the GPU isn’t in use, this computer has no problem handling multiple programs, Chrome tabs, and documents open at the same time and running everything flawlessly. I don’t play MMOGs but I do like simulation and strategy games and this computer can run them all on the highest settings without any issue.- Quieter than expected. The fans kick on periodically when I’m playing games, but even then it’s much quieter than I expected from a gaming laptop. I can hear the whirring a tad if my volume is next to zero, but otherwise the normal volume of whatever I’m doing or having earphones in makes the fans unnoticeable.- Runs cooler than expected. Related to the fan note above, this computer stays cool. I will play with it on my lap in the evenings from the couch, and it’s never yet been uncomfortable to do so.- Price. I didn’t expect to find a laptop like this for under $900. (Taxes bumped it up slightly over $900, but still worth it.)- Keyboard – there were more backlit options than I expected. You can set the backlights to off, static (solid red), strobe (quick pulses in red), breathe (slower pulses in red), or color cycle (slow fade through the rainbow.) The brightness also has multiple options. The keys themselves have a comfortable, springy feel to them and it’s comfortable to type on at length.- Screen/display. I haven’t noticed any discoloration and the 15.5″ display is a nice size for working on two documents side by side or having a video open while working on something else. And yest still small enough to slip it into most backpacks, if needed.- Design. I like the logo on the top of the case (instead of a company name) and there’s a subtle ridged texture design around the keys/mousepad that has a nice feel and look to it.- Trackpad. I like that it has two buttons for right and left mouse clicks. Some users may not, but I prefer it.- Quick and easy set up. I was up and running quickly with no issues; set up was a breeze and there isn’t too much junk software to sort through/uninstall. (It didn’t come with Microsoft Office, which was fine with me since I can get it free through my school as a student… but if that’s important to you, be aware that it’ll be an additional cost for you.)Cons:- Battery life is good when not gaming (~8 hours) but lackluster when playing games (~1-2 hours). Still, any laptop with a GPU is going to lack battery power when running its graphics card so I expected this.- A bit heavy at 5 lbs. (Again though – weight is expected in a gaming laptop and it’s actually not that bad at all compared to many other models out there.)- I’ve noticed the mousepad sometimes loses track of my touch. This has happens maybe once a week for a couple seconds? I plan to buy a mouse anyway, but the issue with the tracking is minor and infrequent enough to barely count as a “con”.Overall, it’s got a nice look and feel, it’s got plenty of processing power to run everything quickly and smoothly, and the price is great.

Great workhorse for casual gaming, productivity

Purchased March 2021Review updated July 2022I have owned Asus computers since 2012, this is my 4th model and my favorite at this point. It has performed well for the last year and doesn’t show signs of aging. From a speed and load standpoint has everything you need, and nothing you don’t for all productivity and a little gaming. For multitasking it handles loads of software, tabs, and windows. Sometimes I also watch movies or Youtube as I game without issue. You can upgrade the RAM although I have not needed to. I play LoL, some WoW, and Neverwinter- sometimes there are issues in Neverwinter as the graphics are more intense even at the lowest levels. For my purposes it has been fine as I prefer to keep my graphics down, although if you want to play with higher render I would expect issues. The keyboard is resilient and satisfying to type on. Softer than their previous chicklet keyboards, but better— almost like it is closer to a mechanical key feel. The fans can be loud at times but they will stop quickly once cooled. The vents are almost all underneath so I consider it a necessity to use a lap desk or using a hard surface when not at a desk. Having armoury crate software pre-downloaded is really nice to monitor temperature and adjust settings. You can have different profiles on resource distribution based on your needs, and it is intelligent enough to switch your profile when limits are met. I don’t use it much but it is cool.I had the blue screen of death once or twice in the first few months of ownership, no reason why it should happen… I am glad I purchased insurance because I am a bit worried about that but since then the issue hasn’t recurred. I have experienced ongoing intermittent issues with Zoom and Google Meets – the volume level is stuck. Thankfully it’s stuck at an okay listening level, but it’s stuck nonetheless. It has taken a tumble of about 2 feet, landed on its side, and not had any issues. I think the hardware is solid for transit and the occasional hard knock. It’s also been sat on with no issue. (Lol) The plastic screen casing and body frame are resilient and there is little bend. The screen is visually fairly accurate. I wouldn’t say it is perfect for graphic design but it is pretty good. I enjoy the matte look rather than reflective. It has great range, depth, and brightness levels.

    Amazing for the price

I’ve had this laptop for several months now. I use it for my college classes, gaming, watching videos. It does it all with no lag or hiccups. The backlit keyboard is one of my favorite features. You can change it to any color or shade you want. It also has DTS: X Ultra on it which lets you adjust the audio to different types of listening. I use it to enhance music all the time. It can even be personalized to your hearing which is great for me because I have moderate to severe hearing loss. The webcam isn’t the greatest, but you get what you pay for there. It’s not bad per se, but not the best either. I would have liked more hard drive space, but that’s easily fixable with an external drive. The battery life is okay. I’ve had laptops with better, but this laptop will still go for a few hours on battery. It’s also a bit heavy so if you plan to carry it around a lot you might want to be prepared for that. However, it’s incredibly sturdy. I have no concerns about sticking it in my backpack with my textbooks. If you want a versatile durable laptop with excellent audio at an affordable price, this is the laptop for you.

Very happy with this purchase. Great for light gaming sessions.

I only have 2 things to criticize here.1. The keyboard layout is a bit weird and takes some getting used to (nothing major, just the delete, home keys etc…)2. Games run by default on the CPU rather than the GPU and I had to manually switch that by going into windows graphics settings and finding each game .exe file so that I can make that file run on maximum performance (i.e the GPU) rather than “let windows decide” (i.e the CPU). Keep in mind that I was plugged in with power option set to high performance.Other than that, the keyboard keys feel nice, that trackpad is amazing and dare i say it almost feels like a macbook trackpad, best windows trackpad i ever used so far, and it is possibly partially due to the fact that the 144Hz refresh rate of the screen also helps smooth things out. The anti-glare screen is great. Black colors on the screen look nice and dark, close to OLED technology. The unboxing experience was nice, everything had its own compartment. Upgradablity is good, i added a 2.5 inch 1TB SSD. The included 512GB M.2 SSD is replacable. They gracefully placed an 8GB stick of RAM in 1 slot and left the other slot empty (which is less costly for me as a consumer to upgrade from 8 to 16 rather than having to replace 2×4 GB sticks with 2x8GB sticks, now I can just buy 1x8GB stick). Destiny 2 on low settings averages at 60 FPS for me at least, Maplestory 100+ FPS not that it matters in that game. Great selection of ports available, multiple USB type A, HDMI, AUX, Ethernet.

    AMAZING!!!!

Had this laptop now for around 3 years, am so happy for the time we had together, it worked so well and never failed on me. I basically played any game I wanted on it when I installed new ram ( 16 GB ). Perfect for any type of work or studying, just amazing.Extra Stuff: easy setup, screen was nice but turned a bit a weird after a while, idk if it was a tear but still was fine. It never got super hot for me, I’d say about normal. The sound was nice, I always had headphones so idk about the speakers, I’d say decent. The size is perfect for going anywhere, cafe, traveling, etc.

Got it for $699, worth every penny

When I told my friends and family that I was buying another gaming laptop after mine unfortunately broke, they were all skeptical with how many gaming laptops are not made with good components and are not worth the money. While they are right for many, they were not right with this one. After battling with scalpers to buy this one for $699, it was one of my better investments. It’s an extremely powerful pc for its price and it being prebuilt and being a laptop adds more value to it, so for what its worth it’s well priced. Being an avid gamer, I have already put this puppy through the ringer. I upgraded the ram to 16 gigs (max up to 32) and added an HDD and I’ve been so much better off than I ever have been. I have been able to play any game with mid-high settings with bliss. Metro Exodus, a rather extensive game, runs great on mid settings with my current setup and it isn’t even on my SSD. My ONLY gripe with this laptop, is unlike my last laptop, this does not have a pause or play button. Mild inconvenience, but it has stopped me from listening to music and playing as it is a big jarring to alt+tab to pause my music to hear in game chatter. Oh yeah, the lights are beautiful and allow for alternate color patterns, but when its off rainbow cycle, it’s only red. No idea if I’m doing something wrong, food for thought. 4.5 stars.

Unbelievable laptop, but audio muffled by default

Awesome just awesome, from cpu / gpu power, weight, build, heat venting just awesome. My audio was low by default, muffled. not good. If this the case for you, fire up the myasus app that comes installed. under utilities download DTS:X Ultra, install, then update the DTS:X Ultra software in the windows store. In DTS:X Ultra, under Graphic EQ, move them all up. Problem solved.—update, the laptop is a champ, threw in 8gb more ram, put internal ssd drive, currently have it running 2 monitors including its own monitor so 3 total, with wow running on one of the monitors and twitch on the the other, currently cpu is 30%, nvidia gpu is 30%, and amd graphics chip is 15%, and the laptop is still cool in the back

Purchased in April, wifi card died in late june~early july the same year.

its not terrible. the fact that it can run a heavily modded minecraft of skyrim (LE) is nice… i wouldnt recommend it for any games that released in 2020. great performance on ff14. the only big flaw i had was that the wifi card litterally started dying late june and i had to reset the bios and factory reset the laptop several times until it gave out around july 15th. battery life isnt terrible, then again… this is mostly used in the same spot in the house and not moved so its rare that i unplug it. maybe not worth the money due to maybe being able to build a desktop with better performance for the same cost, but for those lacking space (like i do) or who travel a bit: its not terrible…again the only major downside is the wifi card gave out after 4 months. i tried contacting support and while they helped me with fixing the issue at first by reviving the drivers for the card, the core problem of it failing did not in fact get fixed. (i have not sent it in to get replaced mind you). for now im just coping with an old ethernet cable run from router to the laptop.

    Great Portable Printer – Dependable

I bought this computer for my daughter about 2 years ago. It has proven to be rugged & reliable. It is fast and with good battery life. It is used for word processing, artwork creation and computer gaming. I’ve heard no complaints from my its user (and believe I would have if necessary!) I recommend it without reservation.

Good as a supplement to a desktop. DO not pay over 750

I have a gaming desktop as my primary and I love this for just sitting on the couch playing a few games. Plays most games on medium 1080p at a good frame rate. But the thermals suck and it heats up like crazy. If you are doing any serious work it’s going to get loud. If you are buying this as a primary laptop and have the budget, go to the next teir, this isn’t the deal for you.

    ASUS Tuf Gaming laptop A15

This computer offers more extras for the money than many gaming laptops do for twice the price. It allows you to play high use cpu games like Dragon Age 3 while also being functional for college class work. The tough outer shell makes it great for packing to and from a classroom. The high speed processor makes opening several research papers while typing out a report a breeze.Great Computer Great Price

    Material is not clear.

The product material is not clear. I thought it include total two m.2 slots plus one SATA slot for SSD/HDD. The model of FA506IH-AS53 (1650 display) include one m.2 and one SATA only. (Attached is how it looks inside). It is still good for the price and I am happy with the product so far.

    Bought and returned immediately

Didn’t do proper research ahead of time. The cooling configuration is awful and an run internal temperatures above 105 degrees Fahrenheit. The graphics card is also not quite powerful enough for much of modern gaming. Decided to build a more powerful PC for the same price point.

    Good for Gaming

I use this laptop for gaming and watching movies and I’d say they only issue I have is battery life going out somewhat quickly so I usually have to keep it plugged in. However everything else is just fine and reliable.

    Almost love it!

I have used this laptop to play Sims 4 and it’s extremely responsive! The only down side is that I can’t figure out how to change the keyboard backlight to white, it’s default is red which I really dislike.
