Unmatched price for quality and performance
I needed a laptop and I wanted to future proof my gaming needs. This laptop nailed both of those. At the price point I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for this type of performance and quality. In fact, quality was better than I expected. RTX 2070, i7, SSD + HDD, High CPU and a super high quality case … you can’t go wrong.I use this laptop for everyday and gaming. Battery life isn’t great, but for being a gaming laptop its solid. Screen quality is impressive, although I typically plug it into the HDMI on my TV and it works great.

Underrated Gaming Laptop
One of the most underrated gaming laptops on the market. It was this or the MSi GS66 and boy am I happy I didn’t get the GS66 Stealth. This is just built better (at least according to the reviews I’ve seen online). Bright screen, OMRON mechanical switches, numerous ports, and fans that keep everything cool without being too obnoxious and loud. I don’t use the webcam so it doesn’t bother me about the location being where it is (below screen, above keyboard). Overall would recommend and Gigabyte is known for their build quality and great service.

My first gaming laptop and it worth every penny.
Best overall laptop in terms of price, performance and storage. It is blazing fast with the intel 720p 512GB and a 2tb for mass storage.Fans are usually quiet most of the time and the button Max Fan is very useful.Concerning the Azure AI you will need to give the software a little more time to perform (at least 2 weeks). The more you will use this laptop and the better it will get. Will upgrade it soon with 16GBx2 Ram 2666MHz and another 512GB intel 720p.2 things that are missing on this laptop is 2 ssd in Raid 0 and intel XMP profile.

So far so good
After much research and review, I decided to purchase this as a work/gaming laptop. The cooling was most important to me. It does seem to have a good system, but the fans will be loud on high. It performed well on Heaven Benchmark. My only complaint so far has been a strange noise when connecting a USB device and at other times. It is a buzz played before the Windows sound effect plays. I am pleased with it so far though.

El laptop de mis sueños.
Excelente Laptop.

Solid Gaming Laptop
The from the specs to the chassis to the tactility of the mechanical keyboard, this is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made in a very long time. It’s a well-rounded, top-notch gaming laptop, and you’ll expect nothing but greatness in using it. The thermals are mindblowingly good with the built-in “Windforce Infinity” cooling system. Framerates are through the roof. All around a great gaming laptop for anyone, from casual gamers to professional gamers.

¡Exelente producto!

Stop adding needless bloatware!
Good quality gaming laptop. 2 complaints. Too much bloatware, and the fans are a bit loud but not too bad considering I play with headphones most of the time.

great purchase
This was a very good purchase for me. Upgraded from an i7-7700 and the speed difference is obvious. I like how thin it is but miss the dvd player terribly. Bought an external one but footprint is considerably expanded now. Overall Still a great purchase.

Ideal

Good laptop with some great performance (i9 and RFT 2080)
Good:It really flies.A lot of performance is very controllableLooks goodgreat keyboardstays relatively cool for the powerVery configurable to personal usagegood batteryNot so good:The controlcenter that is used to manage settings has no manual and is almost indecipherable in its useFans are loud on low settings and very loud on highpower plug and all ports are on the side making it awkward as a “lap” top. This is a super fast laptop that scores 8000 on 3D mark. It runs better that a gaming desk top in some cases. But the power comes at the price of heavy and loud fan usage. I would buy it again.PS Forgot to mention that this is the first laptop I have bought in 20 years that wasn’t loaded with bloatware. Changing rating from 4 stars to 5 just for that.

Best RTX 2070 laptop for the price right now…
Updated: After the driver fix I gave this laptop five stars. If you want the best full laptop Geforce RTX 2070 for the price (at the time for writing this review) than this is it.Pros:- Good building materials and slick design.- Clear and crisp display with small bezels.- Configurable RGB back lit keyboard.- Full Geforce RTX 2070 not the Max-Q Version.- 3xStorage configuration (2 x NVME, 1 HDD) (1 x 512 GB NVME and 2 TB HDD installed)- Better in the cooling from the Aero 15 as the Arous 15 has a thicker chassis.- Sound is OK but not perfect.Cons:- (Fixed) The graphic driver for the 2070 is locked by Gigabyte so all graphic card updates must goes through them and not from Nvidia, which I found it very bad decision and I did contact them about it (waiting for reply) and hope they will unlock it in future updates (Fixed updated to 419.17 driver through Geforce Experience).- No thunderbolt port.- Microsoft Azure AI still not a perfect solution as it causes too much performance issues.- The battery for just 1.5 to 2 hours maximum and I think this is due to two reasons:1- Using a small battery capacity with small size to get space for the HDD drive.2- Also there is no Intel Optimus in this model so it’s using the 2070 card all the time.Benchmarks:Metro Exodus: 51 fbs (RTC: Ultra, DLSS: On), 53 (RTC: High, DLSS: On)Assassin’s Creed Origins: 68 fbs Ultra SettingsAssassin’s Creed Odyssey: 52 fps Ultra high settingsShadow of Tomb Raider: 86 fps Highest SettingsMiddle-earth: Shadow of War: 91 fbs Ultra Settings

Great laptop with outstanding performance and keyboard
I bought this laptop at the beginning of August and I am loving it so far. Chassis are solid but not overly bulky. I decked mine out with the latest CPU/GPU and it has managed all the tasks I’ve thrown at it without issue, including latest video games. The mechanical keyboard feels amazing to type on. Don’t expect other people in the room to be happy with your clicking, but they’ll get used to it. The fans do a great job of keeping the laptop cool, though they can be loud out of the box. You can customize the intensity in the command center app that comes preinstalled on the laptop. I read some bad reviews about the command center app but they must have rolled out updates since then because I haven’t run into any issues with it and it has been very easy to tweak performance. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Very powerful and great to run literally anything.
This computer is very fast and runs anything I throw at it with exceptional performance. I love that it can handle any graphically intense game with ultra high graphics, for example Escape From Tarkov plays very well on the computer while being on max graphic settings. The SSD portion of the computer allows instantaneous start and shut down to make a full restart occur in just seconds. Overall I love the computer and it is definitely great once you get used to all the performance enhancements and applications used in a gaming laptop by this company. It is surprisingly small and light which are great qualities while still maintaining the feeling of a durable and structured laptop. Also, the texture of the laptop feels quite nice and it definitely turns people’s heads when they realize that this portable laptop can out perform most home built desktops for about the same price. One thing that I would like to see a change in is the battery life. I am getting about 3 hours or so on just running the computer. I understand that the computer needs a lot of power in order to perform up to standards. It would just be better to accommodate a longer charge battery. Also, the control center panel is quite confusing at first and maybe should have a very brief tutorial on what you are looking at when you first open it up. Also, the computer has an AI Widget that continuously opens up and runs despite me closing it down, and I still have no idea what it does.

Great Gaming Laptop under $2K
I had been wanting a new gaming laptop for a few months. When my ASUS G50VT-X5 died after 10 years of faithful service, it was time. After a couple of months of use, I can say I am extremely happy with my purchase. This may be due to my liking “older” games (I do play the 2016 DOOM) and not really delving into today’s AAA titles but, I have some FPS info that may be helpful.Pros:Great graphics performance from the RTX 2070. Playing most games at over 60 FPS on their highest preset (exceptions are the Total War games I have. Empire will run between 30 and 70 depending on the size of the battle. Rome II was usually over 30 in battle and capped around 50 on “extreme” preset with AA turned off.)DOOM 2016 avg 80 FPSWorld of Warships 75 FPSMinecraft Java max settings (graphics = fancy, clouds = fancy, particles = All, etc.) and max render distance (32 chunks) ~60 FPSThe 144Hz 1080p display is pretty amazing despite not being able to max out graphics and play at 144 FPS. Text is clearer than ever and the AORUS Control Center has a “Blue Light Killer” setting which has practically eliminated any previous eye strain I has using an older laptop. The M.2 SSD boots this laptop faster than I have ever seen a PC boot. The initial Windows setup takes a few minutes to get going when you power up the machine for the first time. After that, restarts and cold boots are near instantaneous. The 512GB SSD leaves plenty of room for Windows to operate speedily and for other launcher games like World of Tanks and War Thunder. The 2TB 7200 RPM platter HDD gives you enough storage for a good sized Steam library. I have close to 200 Steam and GOG games installed and have only filled the HDD half way. Load times are still bearable on games like DOOM 2016 and Total War: Rome II.The AORUS Control Center makes updating chipset drivers and flashing the BIOS completely painless.Dual fans with 2 intakes and 2 exhausts keep the laptop at a stable temperature. I have attached a SpeedFan screenshot of the temperatures under load while gaming. Not Chromebook light but, lighter than expected for the power and storage capacity it has.Power cable is long. I didn’t measure exactly but, approximately 10-12ft. That and it only requires one power brick, I was looking at other models that had two and was not looking forward to that possibility.Cons:For the price, I would have liked to have received Windows 10 Professional instead of Home.*Obligatory “Battery Life” complaint* the battery does drain pretty quickly even in power saver mode, expect 2 hours of life in that mode.Other thoughts:When you first setup the laptop, go the AORUS Control Center. Use the Smart Update feature under the Smart Utilities tab to update the BIOS and the control center itself. The control center update supposedly helps with the fan noise under load. The BIOS update should fix the only issue I had with the laptop, When I would wake the laptop up from sleep, the fans would not spin up when I started a game and I would get terrible framerates. I would have to restart to resume normal performance. I have not had this issue since I updated the BIOS. The BIOS update was completely automated after being started by the user, on reboot it flashed the BIOS without any further input from the user and proceeded to boot normally after.Fans are only obnoxiously loud in “Max Fan” mode which you have to select manually. They are no louder than my desktop when set to “auto” and under load.Exterior does like fingerprints.I would highly recommend this AORUS 15-X9-RT4BD to anyone that needs a g-solid mobile gaming platform.

Great gaming laptop
The more I use this laptop the more I like it. I have had it for a couple of months and have been gaming on it hard This is one of the best laptops to get for gaming. It has the best price with great specs it performs great and looks really nice The material it is made out of is sturdy but smudges fingerprints but after cleaning them off it looks amazing the screen is really smooth. Keep in mind when buying this it is like a portable desktop it doesn’t have a lot of battery life but it will last around 2 hours or less it has lots of good features that come with it and I love how fast it is

Fun mix of features and some misses
So this was my replacement laptop after my MSI died after years of service. I’ll be comparing it to a bit of what I know from laptops in general and from my last Stealth Pro.First off it’s a beast in my senses of the word. It runs anything I throw at it at great fps. You can look up a lot of youtube videos which will provide a better scientific approach to it than I. But really I think it’s done everything I wanted it to gamingwise and it sets up good stuff in the future because 2020 is gonna be a great year to be a gamer.Next is the fan speed which a lot of people worry about. It was freaking loud. Really, it sucked. However what I noticed was with updates to the AI it has been much much better. The first month I heard a lot of spin up from the fan but now I really don’t and it’s doing really well. The Auros Control Center I hate. It’s a bit of a mess and stuff like the Killer Suite and Nahimic cause more problems than help. I ended up uninstalling them.Another problem I have is the volume. It’s not great, it’s really subpar. I have to really use headphones for everything which I don’t mind because headphones will always sound better but there are times when I just want to pop over to youtube and watch something and it has that tinny sound.Overall I really like it. There are some things I wish were better but I don’t regret this at all. If you have specific questions, reach out to me.

Main review plus notes
[Note for the seller/and or Aorus: first time moving files around i got a kernel error. It has happened only once so far but would like to note that.][WARNING FOR ANYONE WITH A WD PASSPORT OR THE LIKE. ALL USB PORTS ARE 3.0 AND MAY NOT DETECT YOUR DRIVE. SO GET AN ADAPTER][Main review]Overall quality parts with a not so quality build. Heating is an issue but what gaming laptop doesn’t? As someone who prefers functionality over aesthetics. Some might compare this to recent laptops and complain about its size. However for what it has i would prefer if it was a little larger for the fans at the end but smaller and tighter for the front.Anyone complaining about heat or noisy fan. Well i understand, weirdly enough I’m mot sure.if it’s the Ai but it seems to think I’m running a game when i use WinRar and blasts the fan. But aside from that the update has fixed itthe system is as sold. You’ve got a product from a company that crams as much desktop into a laptop. Ofc there will be heating issues and fan blasting. I commend them for being able to piece this together.[Will update]

Fast, light for the specs, well built, loud fans that really cool. .
Likes:This thing is fast, very fast. Has run everything I have put on it quickly in ultra details at 1080p. Forza Horizon 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Fallout 4, GTA5, ETC. Crank the settings until you can’t crank them anymore, the machine doesn’t stumble, you get butter smooth frame rates. It also is light for it’s specs. I have no problem backpacking this thing around, yes it’s not a MacBook Air but it is lighter than the Alienware it replaced and pretty thin. Temps run good and I have not undervolted or repasted. I may try it in the future but currently no need. 2.5 tb means tons of storage which I needed. That was a big motivator for me to purchase this laptop. I was impressed with the construction, most surfaces you touch are metal and it is well constructed with little flex. Better than my MSI, and just about as good as my Alienware.Dislikes:Runs cool but damn the fans are loud. This thing moves some air. The loudest laptop I have owned by far (I’ve owned Alienware, MSI, HP, etc). Battery does not last long when going mobile, no gaming laptop does, but it is noticeably shorter than my Alienware.

Camera’s not positioned practically.
Although I love this laptop, there is only two things that I don’t like, such as camera and weight. Camera is positioned so weird and it’s almost impossible to do zoom call and stuff like that. It will look up to your nose which is not practical. I though it would be a little lighter than regular gaming laptop because of the graphics card version max q but it turned out to be pretty heavy and it hurts my back even if it’s just a laptop in my backpack. Oh also, bottom cover seems like it needed something kind of reinforcement because it touches the main board under a little pressure. So be careful when you put too much stuff with it.

Absolutely perfect aside from thunderbolt
Absolutely love this laptop. The 2070 super max q is extremely impressive for the form factor. In deep control mode I can run warzone at mid to max settings at 1440p around 90 to 100 fps.World of warcraft sits at max 1440p at around 110 to 120 under deep control as well with rtx on.The only issue I have with the machine is that the thunderbolt does not work as it should. I’m not sure whether it’s my machine alone or if it’s an issue with gigabyte itself in their laptops. Everything works except for dual monitor from my tb dock. It is an issue with the laptop because I’ve ran through every possible scenario myself as well as worked with caldigit.Overall 4.5 out of 5 if thunderbolt worked out of the box as it should it would be 5 easy

Great specs for the money. I only wish it was a little quieter.
Pros:GREAT keyboard. It’s probably one of my favorite features. The keys are super responsive and satisfying to type on.Really great screen. I cannot understate the smoothness of the 240 hz display. It is plenty bright and colors are great.15 inch screen is the perfect size.Weight is just low enough that I don’t mind carrying it with me whenever I want to game on the go.Battery life is great for a laptop with this kind of horse power.Cons:A little bit thicker than your typical laptop.touchpad is a little bit small, but to each their own.Control Center software that comes preloaded is not super fleshed out. I would like to see it improved. On power saving settings, fans will turn off, however they kick on for a couple seconds every 15 seconds or so. I wish I could simply keep them off.

Laptop heat ruined the SSD inside
I’ve had this laptop for a few months, probably around half a year, and its worked pretty great, good fps, decent keyboard and mostly just decent all around HOWEVER it gets incredibly hot. So hot, that it ruined components inside of it and right now i have mine getting repaired. There was absolutely no dust build up, and minimal use (Mainly got it for downtime at work, only time it is used is 2 or 3 times a week for a couple hours) And for the current price which is now up like nearly $800 more than when I got it, its an ABSOLUTE waste of money. When using the laptop for anything other than gaming its relatively okay. But playing even barely graphically demanding games make the back of the laptop get so hot you cant really touch it comfortable. On top of that, the vents on the bottom have AWFUL airflow since the rubber risers on the bottom practically go all the way around it and trap all the hot air inside. The repairman i brought it also said that it barely even has any kind of heatsink in it because of how tightly crammed in all the components are.IF you plan on buying this, make sure you do everything you can to keep it cooled and increase circulation on the bottom, definitely buy the best cooling pad you can as well

One heck of a laptop
It’s a pretty awesome laptop for gaming running my favorite games at 300hz I bought this brand new from All gamers store when it was on sale for $1500 I was not disappointed only bad thing about this laptop was after 3 months my gpu fan stopped spinning so I done what any other pc tech person would do I tore it apart oiled the gpu fan also replaced the stock thermal paste with grizzly kryonaut thermal paste slapped it back together the gpu fan is actually running 20% faster after being oiled. All in all I give it a 10/10 for gaming. And will definitely buy from gigabyte again they are now my go to laptop/desktop manufacturer.

A good value, lots of compromises though.
It’s a hot beast with very loud fans. Get well acquainted with under volting and multiplier limits to tame the thermal throttling. I’m not in love with the screen, I swear that my old Alienware with the 60hz gsync panel is smoother than this 144hz. Overall I am pleased with the value of this combo and the portability is great. The battery is very small, you will be a slave to the wall plug. I would not be keeping this if I had to pay for the newer version and was living with this screen and battery.

Beautiful Beast!
All around this Aorus is INCREDIBLE. For being such a high powered device (beats ALMOST any desktop) it is very aesthetically pleasing. I’ve seen a lot of “gaming” laptops and this one rides the line between looking full gaming/ high end creators laptop. The keyboard was a little tough to get used to at first but after a few weeks I cant praise it enough. Its powerful enough to run any game at the moment at full settings and well over 60fps (most over 120 and some at 300). At the moment I can stream games like Call of Duty at 1080p 60fps while still playing the game at 120fps. CRAZY!! LOVE THIS MACHINE!!

The dual cooling fans clack against the inner walls of the cooling chamber
Whenever a game that requires a lot of resources to run is on for too long the laptop gets very very hot. This causes the fans to rattle inside the cooling chamber and compounds the excessive heat being created. Do not run shaders in Minecraft unless you want your laptop to sound like a bike with playing cards in the spokes.

Aorus build quailty is not good.
The performance of each part was good but the overall build quality was low.

Awesome Gaming Laptop!
Pro:* Upgrade ability: Intel Core i7-8750H processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 with 8GB of VRAM, 16GB RAM (2 slots for 32GB) and two slots for SSD. also one slot for HDD.* AI function: Makes AORUS smarter! AI will support all Adobe software, which will allow up to a 30 percent boost in performance while editing in apps like Adobe Premiere* Descent Thermal solution: Aorus 15 is that over half of its underside is dedicated to the heatpipes and fans, and from what I could see through the vents it was reminiscent of the engine in a luxury sports car.* Keyboard: three zone RGB is awesome. Key cap feels and response better than I expect.Cons:* Size and weight: Aorus 15 does look and feel a little bulky, weighing a little over 5 pounds and nearly measuring at 1 inch thick.* AC adapter: If AORUS offers two AC adapters to end user will be fantastic!!

Best Aero todate!
This Aero 15 is by far the best one I have ever used! It is so thin and light, which make it convenient to do my work on. However, the specifications from this laptop are that of a top notch desktop computer. The performance improvements alone on this laptop were incredible. From the Azure AI, to the All Intel Inside this Aero is a must have! I highly recommend this to everyone!Pros:Great Graphics cardsAmazing ProcessorAll Intel InsideCons:Since I use this more for gaming then work I would like the 10key removed and the mouse off to the side. However, this isn’t that important, just something I would like to see done differently

WORTH IT
THIS LAPTOP IS AWESOME. I’ve had this laptop for 3 months now and I love it. the screen is so smooth, definitely worth it for the price. I don’t know if i’m not used to it but the fan is kinda loud but i can deal with it most of the time. The battery feels like it runs out really quick so i end up always having the charger in the laptop when i’m using it. It is a really great laptop though.

The thermal is noisy……but amazing
Quite sold model. Great Mobility & performance. The fan noise is a little bit……loud however I got to say it’s amazingnever felt hot while gaming and I could even “sense” the airflow nearby the chassy. My personal suggestion would be get one headset or earbuds on while playing games, then it will turn out to be a perfect laptop

Great mechanical keyboard
The performance is impeccable, except from the slightly dim screen. Also, it would be great if gigabyte could enable undervolting!

Performance MACHINE without the bling????
Awesome gaming machine. Love the aluminum construction and mechanical keyboard. The Aorus control centre is very useful. Used for VR gaming in conjunction with Quest 2 via virtual desktop and TP link 5ghz router.
