Great for anything and gaming/ recommendations and accessories!
The media could not be loaded.
I’m not really good at reviews but This laptop is fast and good it’s a good Xmas gift and if your on a budget and wanna do some light gaming I have not played a lot of games on it so far but so far it’s a good laptop in my opinion I recommend getting a cooling pad for it because sometimes it gets hot and not laying it down on your bed or somewhere that covers the intake vents completely I don’t really know a lot about gaming or laptops but if you just getting into gaming, I recommended this one I also recommend updating the Nvidia drivers with GeForce experience, and if you want, you can update the AMD drivers by googling, AMD drivers, then pressing Windows drivers also update the computer in settings and the hat about it for now just got this laptop and I think it’s great will do an update if I come across any problems I also recommend trying to get read of bloatware I haven’t yet and getting read of the apps that come with the computer the ones u do not need hope you enjoy the laptop !

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS AFRAID OF-Resolved by HP
I bought this and was very concerned with two things -shipping-customer service. Shipping was actually quite a good experience with a laptop. NOW I cannot get the microphone to work.–SURPRISE it is not on one of the faqs so I am out of luck getting this resolved, If you click on the support page it goes to some sort of warranty sales thing. I HAVE A WARRANTY THIS IS ONLY 7 days old. So who do I call? what do I do now?My advice- buy from someone who can help after the sale- I will bet I will end up without a microphone as I do not think the seller will fix it. I can’t seem to find a number or link to them in the order. If they somehow do resolve this I will amend this review but this is where I am at now.I went to HP.com. They were helpful and resolved my issue. BUT I had to find the pathway to resolution on my own as vendors links were sales links for extended warranty. I wanted to use existing warranty.

Amazing, Fast, but some issues
I bought this laptop as a gift and it took me maybe around a day to fully set it up. The laptop also doesn’t come preset with the NVIDIA graphics as the main one. It uses the intergrated graphics. You’d have to go into the display settings and change it and tweak the settings so it doesn’t revert back to the on board graphics, which it did countless times. And like any other laptop, the battery does die quickly, be sure it buy a cooling pad for this. The refresh rate is clean at 144hz. The quality of games looks great on a small screen like this as well. For a budget gaming computer, This is definitely one you should buy!

Works great but battery didn’t last long
I bought this a few months ago I didn’t want the battery to go bad so I tried not to leave it plugged in when not in use but the battery already seems to have issues Keeping a charge. I have no problems when it’s plugged in though and it’s great for running games

Overall okay
Some things that I like are that the display is nice and that it has a number pad.I’ve noticed some issues with it- The track pad will “click” if you press on the plastic to the side of it. It will do it all the time and mess me up while trying to do other tasks.- some of the keys have already started to malfunction. None of the important ones but F3 does not work to brighten the screen, instead it darkens it. I have to click on the brightness bar rather than use the adjusting key in order to correct the issue.- The battery life isn’t what I was hoping but it lasts for 4-5 hours before I need to plug in again.- The cursor will disappear on the screen so I had to change something in the settings to make sure that it stays black so that I can see it.I don’t really use it for gaming, just for school. I’ve played a few games on it and it seems to run without issues.

Great Laptop for Fortnite, but Consider the Extended Warranty
I bought this laptop for my daughter to play Fortnite on, and she absolutely loves it. She uses it constantly without any issues. I would recommend purchasing the extended warranty, though, because the screen is kind of flimsy and I could see it breaking easily.

I love this frickin computer
Okay, the battery life could be better, but that’s about my only problem. This thing runs like a gd dream and does everything I need it to do. Games play like silk, Adobe gets my work done, I just seriously love this thing. For the price I paid, I got a serious machine that I love and goes with me wherever I go in a cool backpack. I can’t say enough about this computer.

It’s a good deal
For almost $800 you can’t go wrong with this laptop, from the resolution to refresh rate, it’s an overall good laptop for gaming and other applications. Only problems I’ve had is the battery life which depending on your application can vary. I also have issues booting up the laptop when it’s connected to an external monitor, which a simple fix of unplugging and turning it on and off again.

Excellent Entry-Level Gaming Laptop
This is my 1st review and a month has past since the laptop was purchased. Prior, it has been over two years since I last owned a gaming laptop and even then, I was in need of an upgrade. While searching for a new laptop, I came across this interesting device. At first, I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews and comparing the specs of other gaming laptops. But since I was purchasing other items as well, I decided to go with this one. It was purchased on the 18th and it arrived on the 24th, which was sooner than expected.Once I booted the laptop, I was blown away on the speed of this device. It loads applications at the snap of a finger, very quick boot time to where I can shut down and turn on within 1 minute, and the display is gorgeous. Now to check and see how the games will behave. All of my games, whether they’re emulators or from Steam, looks stunning graphic-wise and runs near-perfectly. The Bluetooth feature was a blessing as my older laptop did not have that and I have old PS4 controllers laying around since I now have a PS5.The only cons I will point out is the battery life and the fans. The battery life is short when unplugged and it drains faster if running high-demanding games, only allowing roughly an hour and a half of game time unplugged. Also, the fans get loud when running certain games from Steam. I only know two of the games I play (Dead by Daylight & Civilization 5) that kicks the fans into high gear. The fan con, however, does not apply to my other games. I will throw in of the fact that there are only two USB ports, which is not a big deal considering the price of the laptop.Overall, this laptop does exactly what it needs to do and then some. If you are in the market for a gaming laptop while on a budget, this is a excellent choice. Although I’ve heard stories of this laptop not being as advertised, it is best to do your homework before making that decision.

High-Performance Gaming and Productivity Powerhouse
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my awesome experience with the HP Victus 15 Gaming Laptop. This little beast has totally changed my gaming and work routine for the better. First off, the screen – oh boy, the 15.6″ FHD with 144Hz is just gorgeous. Whether I’m gaming or binge-watching, everything looks super smooth and vivid.Let’s talk about speed – the AMD Ryzen 5 and a whopping 32GB DDR5 RAM make everything incredibly snappy. From heavy-duty gaming to juggling between loads of tabs and apps, it hasn’t missed a beat. And storage? 2TB is more than I could ask for. All my games, photos, and videos fit in with tons of room to spare.Graphics are key, right? The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 on this laptop doesn’t just play games; it brings them to life. I’ve been playing some of the latest titles and the graphics are just stunning, running super smooth.I’m also loving the sleek silver look of this laptop. It’s not just a gaming machine; it looks totally professional for my work meetings too. The backlit keyboard is a nice touch – super helpful for late-night gaming sessions.Connectivity is super easy with HDMI and the latest Wi-Fi 6 – I’m always connected and in the game. The webcam is pretty decent for my Zoom calls, and the sound is just what you need for an immersive experience.Windows 11 Home ties everything together nicely, making it all easy to use. Battery life is pretty good for a gaming laptop, and it stays cool even when I’m pushing it hard. So, in a nutshell, the HP Victus 15 is my new favorite for gaming, work, and everything in between. It’s a great deal for what you get, and I’d totally recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a solid gaming laptop that can do it all.

Lower Battery life and Trackpad Issue
The Laptop is overall decent for budget, just has two main issues. One if the Battery life being around 2-3 hours which isn’t a big deal. The real issue is how the track pad is, if I put pressure just from resting my hand on the laptop to type (As in my wrists laying on the sides of the track pad) that pressure on the laptops body is enough to cause the trackpad to click and respond like your holding left click which has been getting frustrating. But overall it works fine for gaming as school work.

Good for the games I play!
Im not a huge PC gamer, the sims 4 and many mods is my main PC game. It works well and is quick for what I need it for. The fan is loud when its cooling off, but its not an issue to me. Graphics and everything looks good!

Good Laptop
I bought mine in November of 2023, figured id wait a good bit of time before I write a review to make sure I am not passing judgement too quickly. I find its a pretty solid laptop performance wise, I use mine to mostly play steam games ( Indie titles mostly) and it does just that. Now I would not say this would be the end all be all for high end gaming by no means for super HD games but for what it does, it does really well. So far almost a year has gone by and Ive had no hardware issues with it so that is good. When I bought mine this was in the 500 dollar range or so, so for that price it was well worth it.

Amazing value in this upgraded HP Victus
I use this laptop daily for stock/options investing and managing a RE business. It’s performance is quite impressive and the unit is very fast.It ah handled everything that I have thrown at it perfectly.Highly recommended. The HP reseller had a very attractive deal (price vs. functionality) for this “hot-rodded” unit.

Good but…
Generally a good laptop …but-1. it doesn’t come with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 but it comes with AMD Radeon RX 6550M2. The disk is NVME PCIe4 but the speed is the speed of a PCIe3I don’t know whether the drivers need updating but I will check it out.Edited: I have confirmed it comes with PCIe 3, not PCIe 4

Good for price
It runs really nice and smooth. However, I noticed it is significantly slower running things whenever it isn’t plugged in the charger. On the charger, 0 issues with lag. The battery life also isn’t very good. With the backlit keyboard it drains even faster. The audio is also rather quite. I’d recommend headphones. The laptop does get hot and loud when running games, but honestly not too bad. Able to run all my games on the highest quality. For the price, it’s a really good laptop to actually be able to run games on.

A lot of good, a few minor personal issues with it
Pros:•Great clarity and plenty of customisation.•Good for gaming, has a good amount of power to it. Runs as well as long as you keep it on medium graphics• Two second boot time• Good speeds on SSD and RamCons:•Battery runs out fast•Trackpad tends to stick due to clearance not being measured correctly•BOIS is very basic and offers little control.• Heats up after half an hour, nothing extreme but I recommend getting a laptop cooler. This is common in gaming laptops• Ship time was inaccurate. It only took a extra day but it said it would take 5 extra days.

Great, but w/ floppy screen
Intense gaming sounds like a jet engine due to the gpu fans kicking on, doesn’t seem to have an overheat issue.I’ve been using it for projects that can be intense on cpu and gpu, but I have not used it in lengthy time spans.TLDRPro: Great portable work/dev StationCons: Floppy Screen & Fans on Bottom (Although, most laptops do)

Great Budget Gaming Laptop
Bought this to replace my old laptop after it started sounding like it was ready for takeoff. I already had a budget desktop gaming PC as well, but it’s already five years old, and so I figured that while I was at it, I might as well go for a full upgrade. While this was a little bit pricier than I was hoping to get away with, I’m sure it gets cheaper if you catch it at the right time (like back to school or when the next big laptop comes out). This isn’t necessarily top-of-the-line, but it can very comfortably play most big AAA games. I haven’t stress tested it with something like Cyberpunk at max settings, but I’ve run a few games like the latest Madden and most of the Fallout games, and it runs buttery smooth. If you’re something of a snob about performance, you’re simply not going to be satisfied with any computer in this price range, but if you just want most games to run without stuttering at medium graphics settings, this is probably going to be more than adequate for your needs. Do note that I opted for 32GB of RAM; your mileage may vary if you settle for lesser specs.

Sticking keys and flashing issues
After researching the computer, I thought this would be a great computer. A few months later I am having issues with sticky keys, and flashing problems (it seems like other pages are flashing or trying to open up, flashing in and out when I have only one window open), the best way I can explain it.

Good for the price
I use this laptop for school and some gaming. It runs smoothly for what it is. I wouldnt expect top specs for everything, but it does exactly what I need. Running MySQL for school and Warframe for gaming it does both really well. The screen is a little small since I am use to a bigger monitor from work, but I think it is a pretty handy machine. I do recommend getting rid of the game hub that comes on it if you get it. It gets really old really quickly, but if you just uninstall it first unless you plan on using it you should be fine.
