Best gift ever for my teen
I was really skeptical about this product at the beginning because a lot of companies out there claim that it’s compatible with certain gaming systems and then it ends up not working, but this one actually does connect to the actual Xbox and it also has the cloud game pass where you can take it on the road with you as long as you have Internet access you can play your Xbox games anywhere and I am so happy that my son loved it. He has grown out of his switch because he doesn’t wanna play little kid games and into more of the advanced gaming for teenagers and adults in this system is so great. It is made durable and it’s easy to set up and take with you and for the price, It’s actually pretty good.

Nice device
Personally i returned mine but noting to do with the device but more to do with my ergonomics of the device. Long playing session will start to hurt your hand is it doesn’t support it like how and Xbox controller supports your hands. Also the A/X/Y/B buttons seems smaller than an xbox controllers so will take some getting use too. Outside of those issues it’s a fast device and the UI just looks amazing to me. Gaming via Moonlight was buttery smooth and would have kept it if my hand just didn’t hurt after a while.

It’s a pretty good little machine
I had been wanting to play a few Xbox games without buying the whole Xbox system. Many of the people I game with have the Backbone. I however am to fancy to have a normie IPhone and have a Fold4 which doesn’t work with the Backbone.I then naturally started to look for other alternatives. I didn’t want to buy the more expensive and bulky Steam Deck because I am not a snob. Also the price tag was beyond what I was willing to pay to play some outdated games.I then saw this beauty. It’s been a blast, though it is not the greatest console in the world it’s perfect for what I am wanting it to do. Play games in a handheld setting. So here are some major pros and petty cons.Pros*It’s design is great and fits perfectly in my large hands.*It’s Android a OS I am already familiar with and it can be used in tablet mode. Big plus for traveling.* It doesn’t overheat, if I played these games on my phone Samsung would be branded into my hands.* The XBOX cloud gaming beta is surprisingly good. Easy to use and has a wide variety of games.*It allows for emulators and they run surprisingly good for the hardware* storage is upgradeable with mirco SD card which are now fairly inexpensive*it plays all your favorite Google play store games and allows for the use of the controllers instead of touchscreen.*finally it makes for a lightweight travel companion and I don’t have to worry about breaking my SE Switch and not being able to replace it.*the battery life is stellarCons* the interface can be a bit clunky at times especially in the settings. It will not instantly recognize BT devices and you will have to go in there and connect them*the XBOX cloud App does require a strong internet connection. If it is overloaded it will have serious lag* the home button can be finicky and the game will continue to run in the background which can be annoying.*there is no dark mode (if there is I haven’t found it)* some apps like Netflix run in portrait mode and then switch to landscape when watching shows. It’s an odd format I can’t seem to change.Overall I can say for me this does what I set out to do. With the amount of traveling I do, I wanted something I can throw in a bag that didn’t require much. Kudos to logitech for this machine. It’s a great travel companion for all forms of entertainment.

Buy Protection plan
I bought this on preorder it will be 2 years in October for my son’s birthday. I restrict him from play on this so that he is not on this 24/7. Until a few days ago it worked great, he loves the storage, graphics and the ability to use with other apps. The device would not power on. We thought it was the charger at first, then tried different outlets. After no luck of it powering on I reached out to the protection plan I had it under. Filed a claim sent it in. It took a few days for them to get and update us but after almost a week with no console the techs considered the unit unrepairable and gave me a gift card for the amount of purchase. I had to buy another one. Good thing for the protection plan on a $300 console that might go out before 2 years. Still love this for my son.

Great for gamepass
If you have gamepass and like to game on the go, this is a no-brainer! The battery life is superior to every other handled that I have tried, and with the new update, the USB c port provides video output. Logitech got it right with this one, just wish it could play games natively.

Exactly what you make it
The media could not be loaded.
The G cloud is exactly what you make it…and for me, it’s 100% worth the purchase ($299). Could it be an even better value, cheaper, of course. But what wouldn’t be?Now, let’s start with the not so greats. The fact that it is an android device/tablet and is unable to play most android games from the play store is a little disheartening. And coming from someone who is an Apple/iOS user, this was really shocking to see. The quality of games (both selection and look) is really low tier, and I’ve also noticed that when playing some android games (the few that do actually work) the battery life is really hit hard. Surprisingly way harder than it is streaming AAA games from another device. But, it is a streaming device, is it not? So, this makes these few point possibly, totally irrelevant if none of those are what you plan to use it for. However, if looking for a multi versed gaming device/system, this is where it will become lack luster for you. For me, this was very surprising, but honestly not why I purchased it, but thought it was an honorable mention if you will. Now, why is it a 100% recommend for me? Because it is the device I have been searching for, for years. It does exactly what I want it to do. And I think for those who have similar wants in a device, will feel the exact same way. Even if the platform you prefer is different. For me, I wanted something that I could connect to my PS5 and play seamlessly through remote play, without having to be tied to my desk. Which is where my PS5 is. And this allows just that. With downloading the PSplay app from the play store, I was able to get the job done and at great quality. I have decent internet, not even fiber, and this runs great in my home.I honestly didn’t purchase this to be a travel device. I really just wanted something that I could have in home with me wherever I chose to play and not be tied to anything or have to take up a rooms screen. I am definitely one of those who likes to play and have the TV going at the same time, so it answers that for me.I could go into much greater detail, but this has already gotten too long lol. So I’ll wrap this up with buy it. Try it. Get it in hand and see if it does what you want. Aside from android gaming (even though I enjoy Roblox on this with my daughter much more than I did on any touch device because that game actually works), I think it can be way more of a hit than a miss based on what you’re looking to do with it.

Feels great and very surprised with its performance
I pre ordered this and had been waiting for it for a while. Coming from a nvidia shield portable, I always wanted successor and I strongly feel this is it. I have a steam deck but its in a league of its own for what it does. For this, tts performance as far as native android is pretty impressive. It plays minecraft better than a switch does and pixel games like Stardew look super sharp and clear. Comparing to the steam deck and it is just so much easier to customize. Not to mention it’s so much lighter and comfortable to hold. My only gripe is the D pad, up down left and right is great, but diagonal is for some reason is really hard. It feels like a SNES controller from back in the day. You can’t just roll your thumb easily, but you actually have to press it in diagonal directions. I am hoping over time it will wear in. Screen is another nice touch. While not a OLED, it might be the best non oled screen on a handheld I have ever seen. The high PPI makes the screen look and feel really nice. Surprisingly, I was also able to watch 4k YouTube videos. A lot of 8 core android tablets have issues with this but this does not. Overall, very impressed. Was not expecting it to perform as well as it did with the things, I have thrown at it so far.

Above all the rest
First off words doesn’t even explain how excited I am. This is a dream I had that came true. Iv got a portal and I’m telling you right now, the best way to play ps5 remotely is with the logitech g cloud. Works like it was invented just for ps5, plus you got nvidia, xbox and even more cloud services to choose from. I might eat my own words. but this works to good to be true. Sony will do an update that will stop this from working. I guarantee that, untill then I choose the g cloud to play my ps5 elden ring remotely. Hope this helps.

Love this thing
The large screen is great. The ergonomics are fantastic, very comfortable to hold for long periods of time. Solid build. All other devices in this handheld category are from Chinese companies (except the Steam Deck) so having a reputable company like Logitech – you know you’re getting a well built device. Killer battery life. Joycons are nice, buttons are good, D-pad is fine, not great, but gets the job done. Emulation is fantastic on this device. It’s CPU is not as powerful as say an Ayn Odin 2, so you aren’t gonna pull off PS2 or Gamecube emulation well on this device – but anything up to PS1 is gonna work no problem. Game streaming works well, but that’s not what I got it for. I signed up for Xbox Game Pass and the experience and game play for cloud gaming is very nice. It’s also a decent Android tablet for web browsing, YouTube, etc.

One of the best cloud gaming devices
I received this as a Christmas gift a year ago from my wife and I still use it daily. It’s perfect for what it was designed to do (cloud gaming). It is also perfect for game emulation for ps1 and ps2 games. Would recommend to anyone.

This Device is Excellent!!!
I use it to stream from Xbox both locally and using Game Pass. I also use it to emulate Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, and Playstation Portable. I also play a few native Android games like MTG. It does all of these things flawlessly.I’ve tried several other setups for convenient mobile gaming, but this is far superior to all of them. The screen and controls are significantly larger and better than a phone/controller combo, and my Retroid Pocket 3+ is smaller than just the screen of my G Cloud. The buttons all feel premium, like you’d find on an Xbox Core controller. The screen is amazing. The battery will last longer than you will. I’ve personally never seen mine below 50%.Overall, I spent more money trying to achieve this type of performance cheaply(rp3+, PowerA Moga 7X, PowerA Xbox Phone Clip, Used Galaxy Phone to use as dedicated mobile gaming device, etc) than I actually spent on the G Cloud. Just buy it and stop making compromises. You’ll be glad you did.

I was skeptical at first but…
I really enjoy having one of these. Im mainly a PC gamer. I do not own any consoles but now I can play Xbox through Game Pass ($16.99 A Month) buts worth it there as alot of games that cost $70. I have also streamed my pc games thought Steam Link. you can use it in gaming mode or tablet mode. obviously you can also use Google Play to also play games. and i can imagine it not having any problems running emulators. this thing works with a 1tb micro SD. so go crazy. If you want a tablet and a portable gaming device. you get both. also the headphone jack supports the single plug like Xbox headsets so you can use your mic when your playing online or in discord. GG.

Solid gaming handheld, works great with Steam & Xbox GamePass
I love this handheld. I bough it specifically for playing Steam Games and XBox GamePass. It works perfectly for both and the battery life is really good. I have yet to encounter any problems with games as long as the game is listed as “supports controllers”. As with all handheld devices I suggest buying a protective case and screen protector. I bought the “Silicone Cover Case for Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld” and recommend it as well.

Great At What It Does
This was perfect for me but it might not be the right device for everyone just know what you’re getting.I bought this for light gaming while I travel and, mainly, to play video games while my little ones have kids shows on the TV. Since 95% of its life it will be on my home wifi it’s capable of doing what I need it for. I use Xbox remote play to play my Xbox, and I stream games on Xbox cloud gaming as well. Remote play works well at home. Not so much on the road. Streaming games was working fine while my wife was driving and I was using my mobile Hotspot. That said you won’t be able to access your full library while on the road it has to be a cloud game with cloud saves. Which is fine for my very minimal use during travel.I took a picture to compare it to the standard switch. The screen looks great. The controls feel good. It’s very comfortable. The longest I’ve played in one session was 2 hours and from a full charge the battery was still over 80%.The question most people have I’m sure is G Cloud vs Steam Deck. They are both handhelds but that’s about it. G cloud is streaming only. If you can live with that it’s a good choice. If you’re a PC gamer that wants to play your library even when you can’t connect to the internet the Steam Deck might be the way to go.I haven’t used it personally but I have heard GeForce Now works great on the G Cloud. Basically allows you to stream your library of steam games from a high end gaming rig to your handheld.

Better than you think
The G Cloud is underrated. The battery lasts all day. The picture quality is on point. The controls are as responsive as game controllers. The Rog Ally is just more expensive. I always say expensive doesn’t always mean better. It’s subjective but don’t let negative opinions sway your decision. The G Cloud rocks.

LOGITECH G CLOUD GAMING HANDHELD WORKS GREAT
The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld works perfectly for me.I have a GMAIL account and was able to login to the Google request with my account name and password first. That is what the setup for the handheld will ask for. It might be a two step authentication so be next to your PC or tablet to confirm.Next I tapped the Xbox app that is already pre-loaded onto the handheld. I was able to sign in by using my Microsoft account email and password. I was logged in quickly. At the top right I tapped the icon that looks like a small battery with wireless beams (a beacon) and it connected immediately to my console where I was playing Warframe.I was able to start my game up and play. The most difficult part for me is that I am so used to holding a controller to play, that I have to teach myself to hold the Logitech so that I can look at the screen. I am having fun perfecting my technique with my handheld.I really enjoy being able to play while watching the Minnesota Vikings. It is also fun to be able to play while sitting in bed a night until I get tired enough to go to sleep.I did not need to have a Game Pass subscription to play the games installed on my Xbox console. Just set your Xbox to standby and leave the console powered on.The Logitech Cloud G Gaming Handheld works perfectly for me. I am glad I bought it!

Great cloud gaming handheld
Ok, so first thing first. Yes 299.99 (on sale) is a lot. Especially when compared to the steam deck only being 100$ more. However, for everything the steam deck can do, which is amazing btw… It can’t hold a candle to the overall comfort and longevity this can give.If you go into it knowing you’re an avid cloud gamer (GeForce and XB) then this thing is perfect. GeForce now has worked great, I have used it with the upgraded membership and without. Both really really good. Same mostly goes for Xbox. But my experience with GeForce now has been nothing short of impressed.I’ll have sat down playing games for a long time, I stop and check the battery (due to SD battery anxiety) only to find the G cloud has barely scratched the surface. I have found myself reaching for this thing as long as there is a game to be played currentlt. Currently playing Midnight suns via the OneXplayer mini pro through steam, I’ve swapped to playing it on the G cloud because of smooth it is to play and how little battery it draws. I save my battery for games I can’t play on G cloud like Spiderman etc.I wish this thing was normally 299.99 with it being an on sale price for 249.99. I would easily pay 300$ again though. If you are a heavy cloud gamer then just buy this thing. It’s not the same as slapping on a Rkishi or a Tbeach Atom on a smartphone. No comparison IMO.

This is a VERY cool handheld. I am glad I bought it.
The Logitech G Cloud is a pretty cool device with a lot of good things going for it. The main thing I like is the display, which is VERY big, VERY colorful and has excellent screen resolution for viewing clarity. The physical controls are very responsive and the great ergonomic design of the G Cloud makes it comfortable to hold. The speakers are loud and have good all-around sound quality. It has great battery life (only down to 70% from morning to late evening usage) and the device doesn’t run hot, even after several hours of continuous usage, gaming and otherwise. In addition to cloud game streaming services, game emulators can be downloaded and used on the device as well, broadening the range of both playable game types and making it not solely dependent on WiFi tethered streaming. Besides gaming, the handheld is also great for web browsing, video service streaming (Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, etc), is able to download and run non-gaming apps of all kinds from the Google Playstore and even APK files off the internet. Basically, pretty much anything you can do on an Android tablet can be done on this device. It’s a good buy and I am very happy with it. I’m glad I didn’t let negative and lessening reviews found on sources like YouTube dissuade me from buying this device. You shouldn’t either. Also, I do recommend using it in tablet mode and NOT gamer mode to get the best use out of the system (full functionality and better navigation).

LOVE!!
I’m a big hand held gamer! I love this thing! I love the ability to have games to go especially when I’m on a lunch/break at work. The battery lasts pretty long and is easy to charge. I thought it might be a bit awkward to hold since it’s a bit bigger than the switch but it’s really not! it’s the perfect size and the graphics are amazing! I love being able to play android games and Xbox games from game pass, all the games I’ve tried runs smoothly. I have dropped it a few times on accident and no damage was caused to it thankfully, the backs of the handles (?) do pop out but you can pop them back in easily. I also have a 1tb sd card installed and use it for modding games also! It hasn’t overheated either. Definitely recommend especially if you’re not wanting to spend as much as a steam deck costs!

This handheld console is my new favorite device!
I’m just now finding out about this console, and it is amazing! It can do cloud play for consoles and PC, you can install games and apps from the playstore, and it’s a solid tablet! You can connect many useful things to it via bluetooth (headphones, controllers, keyboard/mouse)! You can connect it to TVs, monitors and other external displays. I like connecting it to my Viture XR glasses to play games and watch movies/shows! Great bang for your buck. Now all I’ve gotta do is get a solid SD card to save the larger files to!

Great
I ordered the Odin in August, it’s October now. Reviewers and YouTubers that bash on this device love to compare it to the Odin (which could be an amazing device), but if you order one at the time of this writing, you won’t know if/when it’ll arrive (unless you’re an influencer they prioritize). Also, I can’t really compare it to the Steam Deck or Switch since those aren’t Android/cloud systems. It feels better in the hand than the Switch with a first party joycon. The OLED on the Switch looks nicer than this device and the Deck, and while the Deck isn’t uncomfortable, this one has it beat on ergonomics. The Retroid Pocket 3 is a good alternative for cloud only and light PSP and below emulation, but if you have normal sized adult hands it can get uncomfortable rather quickly. Also, if you want a dedicated device to avoid uncasing your premium smartphone, a prepaid smartphone and a Gamesir/razer controller combo can probably be purchased for sub-$200 with equal or better specs. For cloud/streaming, I tried Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Console, PS5 1080p/HEVC (3rd party app), Steam-link, and Stadia. The only one the gave me trouble was Steam, but that never seems to work right. I could get some games to work, some had audio issues, some just froze without starting. Same behavior on the Nvidia Shield or Windows laptop. All other, performed really well. I was using the Steam Deck for PS5 streaming, but this might be my new go to.For emulation, PSP is where I started having audio issues or slowdowns. Dropping to 1x or 2x fixed most games, but some still had minor issues. GameCube was very much the same, except most games had glitches and slowdowns, even at 1x resolution. PSX/Dreamcast worked fine. I could run Dreamcast games at 720p/1080p for the most part worked fine. 32-bit and below all worked fine. Sega Saturn has an audio glitch/slowdown on the startup/bios screen that doesn’t seem to effect gameplay. I didn’t test any arcade, and I’m sure there’s tons of systems it could emulate. It’s can do anything a mid-tier Android tablet can do, with all the ease and issues you’d expect from Android. For what Logitech advertised this product for, they really did nail it. I think there are too many factors to include price in the review, like at the time of this writing you really can’t get an Odin and the GPD is $400. If this is something that catches on, Logitech will likely ramp up production and lower the price. Also, I’m really hoping they don’t throw in the towel, and a G2 model comes out someday. Also, Logitech has been around forever, and if something goes wrong, I’d trust them with an RMA a bit more that one of the newer companies.

Perfect handheld for on the go casual gamers who just want something quick to pick up and play!!
This thing is my go to device for almost everything. It can do pretty much anything my phone can do without having to worry about draining my phone’s battery. It lets me save my phone for social networking and communications in case of emergency and whatnot. Also since it supports an SD card I can load it up with my movies, music and books without having to worry about storage. As far as gaming goes, Game Pass cloud streaming and Luna work amazingly well at home on my decent wifi. I love being able to play console games out on my porch or even in my yard. I will probably use this device to play Starfield on it when that comes out, since I primarily play most of my triple A games on PS5. For on the go gaming I would say Google Play Pass is your best bet. You get hundreds of games to download for $5 a month. Not all support controllers but even with the ones that don’t I am able to use the touch screen for. Also you have all the games in the google play store that you can buy outright or are free from the get go. That doesn’t even include if you want to get into emulation but I don’t really know anything about that so I’ll leave that for others to discuss. The UI is super clean and simple and I love how you can switch between a more traditional tablet interface and the Logitech gaming one they have created. Sound is good enough for me and of course if you pair it with a headset or earbuds you don’t even have to worry about that. The thumb sticks feel awesome and are much better than the Switch’s and I also love the buttons and dpad. Speaking of the Switch the ergonomics on the G Cloud put the Switch to shame! It is super comfy to hold and I always feel like I have a good grip on it. Not to mention the size of the device is just right, not too big but not too small. One thing that consistently blows me away is the awesome screen. I don’t know what it is but the colors just pop and everything looks stunning. It also looks pretty dang good in the sun but of course your best bet is in the shade. Overall I know the price is a little steep and I would say $250 would’ve made more sense but I say it is definitely more than worth it either way.

Feels great but kinda feels like some updates are needed
After being able to spend a couple hours playing on all the different Cloud gaming services preinstalled on the G Cloud I feel that there are some issues with connection to internet. On any other of my wireless devices that are using the Wi-Fi they get incredible connection but yet whenever I try streaming any game from the Xbox Cloud I get very intermittent connection with alot of screen tearing not to mention while using the Steam connect the input lag is almost nauseating. Im hoping that in the next couple weeks that there are some firmware updates to improve upon the small things.Pros:-The way the handheld controls feel in my hand blew me away. Very much appreciate the offset analog stick set up that is more like an Xbox controller so once I had it in my hand it felt incredibly natural.-Button response is incredibly snappy and I dont feel that there is any play whatsoever so as soon as you hit any button it reacts.-The screen resolution for only being a 1920x1080p display still feels incredibly easy on the eyes and I didn’t feel I had any eye strain from being on any of the apps.-This device is every bit as big as the Nintendo Switch if not just slightly bigger but after holding it you wouldn’t even come to that conclusion.Cons:-As much as I appreciate the HUD I do feel its kind of lacking based on the fact that with it being an Android OS there is so much more customization options being left out.-(EDIT I’m just blind there is an option POG) There is no way on this device in order to check and see what your storage capacity is unless you go into the Google Play Store which feels like an incredibly annoying aspect because if you are needing to make sure that you don’t run out of the 45gb of storage HAVING to go into the google app feels like wasted time as opposed to just having it in the main options list.-The fact that the main volume button doesn’t ALSO involve navigation of the main menu is odd. You could potentially have the volume all the way at 1 for the system but the navigation sound is still at a 10. There is a slider in the options to adjust this but I feel that they should both work hand in hand.Overall:-I very much enjoy the device and look forward to seeing how the device performs in the next couple months as all of the small little bugs and QOL improvements are made. I don’t think buying it right now is a bad idea but just be prepared to deal with some things baring in mind that Cloud Gaming as a whole is still in its early infancy stages.

I’m on G cloud right now, lol.
I recently purchased the Google G cloud handheld. This is 4th handheld device from the switch to the steam deck to the PS Portal. I’ve been looking for a convenient device to use as an emulator among other things and was somewhat disappointed when learning to emulate the steam deck that it wasn’t as easy as I thought along with the short battery and size I found myself leaving it home. My portal is only useful when in wifi or if someone is using main TV. So my switch oled was my go to for a bit until I learned of the G cloud! This device handles like a xbox controller and has a 12 hour battery! Emulation is easier to figure out and I already have my old PS 2 games to enjoy! I got for a excellent price $259.99 w/ a 2 yr warranty for just in case. Very satisfied with my purchase!

(1 Year Update) Great for casual players who understand cloud gaming limitations.
Update January 2024 (almost 1.5 years later):The G Cloud is still the most comfortable and easy to use gaming device I have. Absolutely love mine! Quality has held up and it still looks new. Logitech continues to regularly push out both useful and security-driven updates. Streaming quality will greatly depend on your wifi connection, but everything has only gotten better. I really hope that if Logitech creates a second generation that they leave the design mostly unchanged. The only things I’d hope for in a second gen G Cloud is slightly upgraded internals and a nicer quality, anti-glare screen with a higher refresh rate. And please, give us black one! I’m upgrading my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Thanks Logitech!————–Build quality is good, the white shell feels exactly like the textured plastic of an Xbox controller.Screen is acceptable, but does not have good viewing angles. I strongly suggest removing the pre-installed screen protector, and keep brightness up.Performance has been good. Logitech’s launcher essentially allows one app to be open at a time, likely to improve performance. You can use the stock android launch too, but it’s not as useful here. You need to install all updates before getting started. You’ll find updates in the Play Store, Security updates in settings, Google Play updates in settings, and firmware updates in settings. Grab them all. Additionally, I suggest disabling a few Google services, like assistant. (Why would you want that here?)I’ve had strong wifi signal and battery life is very very good.Steam Link, Xbox Remote Play, and Xbox Cloud Gaming all work great. I had to adjust some steam settings to improve the performance of remote play, but now it’s good. Playing Horizon on Steam now. Make sure you set your resolutions to match on PC and in game for best visual performance.Xbox Cloud Gaming works best out of the box. The G Cloud almost feels like it was made for Microsoft. Some things that could be improved:User interface volume – seem to be tied to notification volume and they are not very adjustable. Too loud on lowest volume. (For those that remember, it sounds like the beeps and buzzes of a TMobile Sidekick.)Speakers are loud, but I suggest using wired headphones. The screen, for a first launch.. it’s okay. This is where I see most room for improvement. I’m begging for a 120hz AMOLED with HDR support in the next round. It would drastically improve the experience. Additionally, an anti glare coating would be appreciated. This would be a great gift this holiday season – but be sure to compare the competition first.

Very Happy Pre-Order Customer…
There are so many pros to list with this little guy that I don’t know where to begin, and not sure I can add much to the conversation that hasn’t already been said by other reviewers, but suffice it to say that I consider this one of my greatest pre-order triumphs ever.Firstly, it is incredibly lightweight. It makes my Steam Deck feel like a medicine ball in comparison; granted, they are built for doing different things, but I much prefer the feel of the G Cloud. The controls are great. If you are used to an Xbox controller and button layout you will feel right at home here. Everything is tight, sturdy and responsive. The ability to add Micro SD storage is a real plus, as this unit gives you access to the full Google Play store. I’ve already downloaded and played a good chunk of my mobile library and everything ran perfectly.I have used Steam Link, Xbox remote play and Xbox Cloud gaming so far, and am thoroughly impressed with the results. I ran Plague Tale: Requiem through the cloud and it played remarkably smoothly. I look forward to testing this out with some demanding Steam games from my library, as well, but the middle-of-the-road games I have played so far all ran really well. The ability to switch between “Gamer” mode and “Tablet” mode is a nice added perk. I watched about 15 minutes of a movie just to see how it looked and the display on the G Cloud is great for media consumption, too.Keep in mind that there is no video out, so no connecting to your TV, but is that really why you buy a handheld? It does what it is supposed to do and it does it very, very well right out of the box. I have yet to experience a single Early Adopter hiccup or glitch with any of the apps I have run and I know that future firmware and software updates will only improve upon what is already a solid, very pleasant experience.I’ll say it again, this is one machine I am happy I pre-ordered and I’m not feeling an ounce of buyers’ remorse, quite the opposite. If you understand what this unit is supposed to do then don’t hesitate as it does it very well!

Super handheld gaming console
Excellent price, excellent quality portable gaming console. UsbC port and sd card memory expansion with headphone jack. Speaker is decent but could have been better. I really wish it had a built-in kickstand. Very light, pretty fast system. You can install all Google apps. Portable game and streaming device. Battery life is better than Window based consoles. Sure they are more capable and you get full blown portable computer. But if you prefer simplicity, lightweight console, this is a great choice.

Great, if it were under $200
I bought this. I loved it. I’m giving it 4 stars because of how much I liked it.BUT I RETURNED IT BECAUSE THE PRICE IS A JOKE 😂😂😂If you want to stream Xbox games, the controls may frustrate you. Pair an Xbox controller to your phone or tablet for a better experience. If you want to install emulators and play retro games, there are MUCH cheaper android handhelds that will do the job just as well.If you want a handheld with a bigger screen than your phone AND play retro games via emulators, get a Steamdeck for this same asking price. You even get the added benefit of being able to actually install PC games directly on the handheld.I LOVED the G Cloud. It’s light, feels great in the hands, and has a fantastic screen. But I returned it because I can’t justify the price when I could get a Steamdeck that can do even more at the same price. …which is exactly what I did.If this were $150, I would even buy one as a companion to my Steamdeck. But asking $350 for this is absurd.(And if you have no other handhelds I still couldn’t recommend this at more than $200.)

A niche handheld. Not for everyone, but great for those it’s targeting.
This handheld often gets compared to the Steam Deck and I think that’s a bit unfair. These are very different systems for very different people. If you are the type of person who does a lot of PC gaming (on controller? or are fine playing on controller?) and want to be able to do it anywhere then the Steam Deck is what you are looking for. On the other hand, the Logitech G Cloud is definitely intended for more specific and limited use cases. You can take this on the go, but you’re limited to playing local Android games. Otherwise, you’re going to want to have a solid wireless connection at home to stream games on Xbox or from Steam on your local network. I’m not the type of person who has a long train commute or a lunch break at the office that I’m trying to fill time with, so I don’t need an on-the-go device to play things locally.I deal with some health problems that have kept me from being able to sit in a computer chair for extended periods of time so having a handheld that allows me to comfortably stream Xbox Cloud Gaming and Steam games (streamed on the local network) from bed has been amazing. The Nintendo Switch is not a very comfortable form factor to play handheld, in my opinion, but the Logitech G Cloud reminds me very much of holding an Xbox controller while holding it.The interface is a little odd and confusing at times, but ultimately doesn’t detract too much. I’ve also run into a few games for Android that will just not map to the controller for this device which is unfortunate.Overall, I can’t recommend this device for everyone but I think if you read through the limitations and have an understanding of what this is for and it sounds right for you, then go for it as I have thoroughly enjoyed having mine.

Perfect handheld the battery lasted 13 hours Xbox xcloud app no good read review.
To get better streaming with Xbox cloud just download Microsoft edge from google play store go to the xcloud website log in and play instead of using the xcloud gaming app it’s not the handhelds fault the xcloud app is horrible even on my 5k gaming pc also using edge the graphics and controls are way better than using the xcloud app. The battery can last for 13 hours the games I played where forza 5, battlefield 4, 1 and V all online multiplayer conquest, halo infinite online, mass effect, assassins creed odyssey and Valhalla, assetto corsa, cyber punk 2077, the Witcher 3 and genshin impact (using the GeForce now app). The g cloud does not get warm at all I starting playing at 9am and I stopped at 10pm and it felt cool to the touch and comfortable. The controls are weird but after tinkering with the control settings in the games it started to feel and play better I also had to do the same on the steam deck. Overall this handheld is perfect the two main cloud services you will be using will be xcloud (use it with Microsoft edge) and GeForce now. I played battlefield, mass effect on both services and the graphics and controls where similar and to everyone saying buy a steam deck and forget this don’t do it. Both handhelds have pros and cons and both can play steam titles. I own a steam deck and it has less battery and will feel very warm after heavy use and being connected to the charger because of long gaming sessions and graphics are not better then the g cloud. The g cloud for the 13 hours I played many games with the temp felt cool and being able to take the g cloud with me to many spots around my house without worrying about battery or it feeling like it’s gonna burn my hands off felt amazing. I give this five out of five. The price is worth it because of the long lasting battery and graphics.

G cloud is a beast
A great handheld for streaming your steam/epic library. This device is nice to complement your gaming PC, when I get tired from a long day at work or a long PC gaming session, I get to my bed and enjoy my favorite games while resting my back. The screen is gorgeous and battery is incredible, I can easly play 10 hours straight. I play android games, emulation, stream my PC, use cloud gaming and watch anime/movies you have to really try to get this thing out of juice.Emulation is awesome on the device with beautiful HD screen. If you are on the fence because this can’t run games natively, dont be. You can easly go around this weakness by having mobile offline games and an emulation library. The keys and joysticks are excellent, these handheld is so comfortable, compared to the switch that cramps your hands. You can play for hours and dont feel the hand cramps.I tried the gaming services available and they run very good with nice graphics even while using VPN services to get the best of the Nvidia now and gamepass libraries.Overall an excellent handheld device.

Quirky gaming console that’s a little too expensive but I love it.
I really enjoy streaming on my GamePass subscription but my hands were getting cramped using my phone with the Razer attachment for long periods of time. This thing is honestly the most comfortable handheld I own. It sits nicely between the Switch and the Steamdeck as far as size goes. The screen is absolutely gorgeous and the OS is nice and snappy. Here’s the problem though: it’s mostly built around cloud gaming. It’s honestly great when I want to play PS5 or Xbox Series X in bed or stream GamePass when I’m away from home, but it’s useless on a plane when I travel until…I loaded it up with emulators and found out that this little thing is one of the best handheld retro emulators I’ve toyed around with. It can surprisingly handle Dolphin and PS2 decently (not amazing, but pretty good) and anything less, I can run with no issues with a decent amount of battery life. My daughter plays all my old favorite games on it now when we go on trips.Best of all, the controller just works. All of the emulators I’ve used so far just work with the controller. It’s actually easier to get up and running with emulators than it is a Steamdeck. My biggest gripe is that it’s a little too expensive for what it is: an android tablet with a controller body. If this were in the $200-250 price range, I’d be yelling at people to buy it. At $300 it’s a little harder of a sell.If you’ve got the money and like cloud gaming, retro emulation and some decent media consumption, it’s worth a serious look. Outside of that, it becomes a little bit harder to recommend.Still love it though.

My Favorite Handheld
Ok, it has been almost 6 months and I love the Logitech G Cloud. Honestly, I will keep this short. Everyone knows the specs. Has heard or seen Everything about the cloud and Everything is great. The are only three things the bug me and hope they get fixed if there is ever a G cloud sequel. The first being, NOT CHEAPING OUT ON THE CHIP! A Qualcomm Snapdragon 720g. Why they thought that was a good idea is anyone’s guess but I hope raise the bar and go with a gen 8 or something. Idk. The second, I mean, really who does not like some RGB? Nobody. Everyone likes RgB. Please, on the sequel, if there is one, RGB please. Third, price, 299.00, I’mma right, yuck! 240-250 at best. Other than that, the unit does and play everything I have thrown at it. Emulation up to PS2. Streaming. Android gaming. Music and movies. Editing. And if anyone wondering….we may not have a docking station with tv out but, now would be a great time to dust off your Chromecast because you will be able to cast from the g cloud to any tv the Chromecast is hooked up to. So grab your favorite Bluetooth controller and guess what, The G Cloud, is now its own Gaming Console that can do sooo much. ( I am surprised nobody has thought about the Chromecast thing but hey, you know now, so spread the word.) So, that is it. Only three gripes from me. 4 stars. My G Cloud goes everywhere with me. High 4 stars!

An interesting device looking for it’s place.
I pre-ordered this before ever seeing a preview of it.. I bought it purely on the strength of the Logitech brand. When it arrived I started trying out all the cloud gaming options I had.. Microsoft cloud gaming worked well with only slight lag in the controls. I felt it worked decently. I also tried out native Android games I owned from the playstore, and they had no issues to speak of. The buttons and sticks worked fine and were of a high quality. But I didn’t feel I found a really great use case for it. One evening I wanted to play my Xbox series X and for the life of me I could not locate a controller to use( Kids).. I grabbed the Logitech and connected it across wifi and what a fun revalation. The screen doubled what was on my LCD and it worked as well as a Xbox controller. Being a bigger guy I liked how spreadout the controls were and the sound coming from the Logitech let me play late into the evening with out disturbing the house. It reminded me a little like playing on the wii-U controller but much lighter with a better touchscreen. I finished AC: Odyseey using it as my primary controller.. For $299 it’s expensive to just be used as a replacement controller but with the cloud gaming and Android Gaming, it’s cost could at least be justified. Great battery life too.

Great device for cloud/remote gaming.
Very cool device to play cloud/remote xbox gameplay. Yet to try ps or geforce now. Simple to setup and use, anyone can do it! Bright display and perfect size at 7 inches.Only downside is the price. Also, microsoft should take note and make their own, similar device.

Great handheld console!
UPDATE: After using this for a bit longer I felt like this had to be dropped down a star. At this price point, it definitely should be a little more powerful. Also, how is there no HDMI out?! Some of the cheapest handhelds have that. Lastly, the d-pad is terrible. You have to press down a lot harder if you want to move diagonally. While it may be a tad overpriced, this thing does a great job as what it’s advertised to do! It streams games from my PS5, PC, and Xbox perfectly. Only the occasional wifi lag but hey, that’s on my end. I experienced the same quality streaming to my phone!I also dabbled in emulation and was able to run PS1, PSP, and PS2 games almost flawlessly. Unfortunately, some PS2 games are too much to handle on this device.A couple examples would be Sly 2: Band of Thieves. Everything would be in slow motion if there was too much on screen. Crash Twinsanity ran great but since it was already a glitchy game, it would either freeze or I’d fall through the map.BUT, some other of my favorite PS2 games like The Simpsons Hit & Run, Spider-Man 2, Crash Bandicoot, and Tony Hawk’s AW run great! All in all, the screen is great, I love the battery life, and it’s probably the most comfortable handheld I’ve ever owned.

Perfect for what it is designed to do.. stream games from your local consoles.
All these reviews about this device being underpowered for emulating are really missing the point of this device. This is really a switch like controller that runs android so it can run remote play apps or cloud gaming apps (though much more comfortable to hold then a switch with better battery life.) if you want a device that can do emulation and full console gaming but portable you will definitely want to look elsewhere for something like a price subsidized steam deck, or Retroid device or any of the other smaller emulation designed devices would better suite you.I however was looking for a high quality, portable sturdy second screen with good controls and good battery life which 12 hours is hard to beat. (Yes you can do with with an iphone / ipad or android phone / tablet but if you have tried that like i have you will find the screen size to be too small with thick black bars to make a 16:9 aspect ratio that is standard with TVs or for the case of tablets too large and now sitting on a table bluetoothed to a controller.) This device out of the box (at least for xbox, playstation requires a 3rd party app called PSPlay as the Sony official app doesn’t support the g clouds controllers yet (maybe with an update to Sony’s app)) will take your console and make it portable just be sure to have wifi 5 (which is the wifi spec on the g cloud) or greater as this all requires a lot of local bandwidth on your personal wifi network.I found for the best results i had to hard wire my consoles over LAN and then to use my eero wifi 6 system as the final wireless step to the g cloud, i have had almost no artifacting, latency issues, or ghosting since switching to this setup notice i didnt say none.. just 99% perfect streaming. Even with other traffic on my network like my partner streaming movies over apple tv etc. this setup performs almost perfectly enough to think its happening on device.I did initially try to use the PS4 pro and Xbox S on wifi, and while the xbox s’ modern wifi worked great, the ps4 pro’s was not good, downloading or updating software while trying to remote control the console would resort in artifacts and issues. I mostly blame Sony’s` wifi in the ps4 pro as even when it was connected to the tv i had issues with it. The minute i put it on LAN all those issues went away and it was as if the G cloud was directly connected to the PS4 Pro i was able to crank up PSPlay’s streaming settings to max and the gaming became buttery smooth. Microsofts Xbox App does a lot of the work for you when it comes to remote play and is frankly superior to sony’s app and even the 3rd party PSPlay (which is an improvement on the official Sony one.) The xbox app will automatically scale the graphics quality based on current wifi and other factors to smooth out the experience so, while not unusable as the ps4 pro was over wifi, it was just not a perfect experience but still playable! But, again for best results hardwire LAN to the xbox s and then wifi 6 to the g cloud for buttery smooth, full hd, no artifacting or noticeable lag while gaming.I did try some Xbox Cloud Gaming but found that to be sorta redundant as I have a console in my home but i guess the option is nice if you don’t.. however the streaming was only ok in my opinion. I have fios fiberoptic gigabit internet with wifi 6 and i still had artifacting and some lag, while playable for non timing critical games definitely not a perfect or optimized experience. It just seems at this time that game streaming from servers outside the home is just not ready for prime time in my opinion.I think playing my consoles on g cloud is going to replace playing my consoles on my tv as I prefer the handheld form-factor and casualness of just picking up and playing like the switch but the graphics of the better consoles really pop on the 7” screen which is really the star of the show. The screen really is good for a LCD, the black levels are good, colors pop and it gets very bright! Hard to find something like this with this battery life. The android version on the device is basic but the addition of tablet mode means you can multitask (something you cant do in the “console ui”) The device software in its current revision lacks screen mapping of the controls so android games will run but wont take advantage of the extra hardware buttons and sticks (this is something that can be added with 3rd party software but as I only use this as a console portable screen I have not tried this, as all the software I use is designed for the controls or has control mapping) this is apparently not good if you want to run games natively on the device but with its specs it wont really do a good job at that. This device really has been narrowly designed for streaming games and its processor does an amazing job at that for 12 hours but your milage playing game software locally will vary (not that i have tried just seen other reviewers attempts.)

Well optimized device for cloud gaming, and that is the whole point.
After a month of owning this device, I want to weigh in on my thoughts of what it is for, the controversy, and what I use it for.Let me start by saying that if you:A. Have a large Steam libraryB. Have Xbox Game PassC. Have a good internet/wifi setup.D. Like being able to lounge in different spots around the house. If those things are true, this thing can be amazing.I see a lot of criticism around this device, the underwhelming hardware on-board, and the need for Wifi connectivity as main complaints. If you are looking for a device that can natively play games stored onboard, obviously the Steam Deck does have more power and support for library games, and thats great if thats what you desire. The reasons I didn’t buy that instead is I don’t game outside the house, and I wanted something that could support Game Pass and Geforce Now in full HD. The Logitech device does so quite well in my case, without latency or hiccups, and in a device with long battery life and great ergonomics/light weight. I feel like this device was made to fill a hole in the market, and did so well.Could they have given it more CPU/GPU? Yes, but Android gaming isn’t my cup of tea anyways. I am foremost a PC and Xbox gamer, and this device suits me just fine for the times I want to find a quiet corner in the house and play some less intense games. The fact that it has a vibrant 1080p screen compared to the Steam Deck’s dull 720p screen makes this device far superior if you are into cloud gaming, especially with the better weight and ergonomics.Either you have the net setup and use case for cloud gaming, or you don’t. I have seen some reviewers just pan the Logitech G Cloud for being an underpowered android tablet at heart, which isn’t wrong to an extent. My thought though, is that it shows what cloud gaming is really capable of when you’re using it as intended, and I for one am actually enjoying this low powered, elegant, and efficient little device. The price is a tough pill to swallow, but I find myself reaching for this thing more often than anything else, and thats made it worthwhile for me.

A great portable system that is only held back by its price
I ordered this system primarily for retro gaming via LaunchBox and RetroArch. And it does that very well. While it took some configuring it’s been able to run everything I’ve thrown at it. I also tried out some games from the Android/Google Play store and the XCloud streaming service. It handled both of those perfectly. In fact, with regards to XCloud, it streamed the games much better than my iPhone does. I did notice some minor input lag, but that’s likely going to happen on streaming services no matter the device. The build quality is fantastic. It’s very light, fits into your hands comfortably, and the screen is large and vibrant. The speakers are also quite good for a handheld device – very loud and clear. The dpad and buttons could be a little less mushy, but that’s a minor complaint. The battery lasts forever too.My only real complaint with this device is the price. It’s $349 price is way too high. If Logitech could hit $199 or even $249 with this unit they’d have an absolute winner. But at $349 it’s in the same range as the Nintendo Switch OLED and base-model SteamDeck and both are more versatile and a better value. That said, if you happen to catch this device on sale and want a great retro/streaming handheld then this one is hard to beat.

I was skeptical… But now I’m glad I jumped.
Ok, so, I hear you Mr. or Ms. Potential Buyer: “Why would I want this when I can stream or emulate games on my phone?” or maybe you’re saying “How is this better than another handheld like the Steam Deck or Android-based emulator consoles?”So here’s what it comes down to, in a nutshell: The Logitech G-Cloud is a lightweight device that specializes in cloud gaming and game streaming from your home console or PC, has a very nice 1080p screen, pre-mapped controls for most services, a comfortable grip, and incredible battery life. It also happens to be able to emulate anything up to PS1 pretty well, and can manage DC, Wii, GC, and DS pretty darn well, too.Make no mistake, though: This thing is designed for cloud gaming, and it excels at it. Of course, your mileage may vary based on your WiFi connection and location in the world/US relative to the servers you’re connecting to. If you’re in Hawaii or Alaska, don’t expect miracles. If you’re in Gluberfrankenborg, Middle-of-Nowhere, again… You’ll probably be disappointed. However, if you live near a major city in the continental United States, you’ll be very happy with the performance. What I will say is don’t get this as an emulation device. Yes, it’s fine. It works as well as some of the emulation consoles from 2019. But the dedicated emulation consoles have gotten better since then, and can handle up to PS2, Switch, and other more challenging consoles. If emulation is your primary interest, you’ll just be happier with something else with a newer chipset. However, if you’re looking to play your Xbox Cloud games on the go, or stream games from your home console, this is the best choice. Yes, better than the Steam Deck. I have both, and while the Steam Deck can be finagled into working with Xbox Game Pass / Xbox Cloud, it’s still a much-heavier device, it’s still a roundabout path to get to those functions, and the battery life is still MUCH worse than the G-Cloud for the same features. The battery life and lightweight feel of the G-Cloud is just a better experience for Cloud gaming. The Steam Deck is great for playing games ON the device, from its own storage, but you don’t need any of that with cloud gaming, so you’re really just lugging around extra weight you’re not using. And don’t get me wrong: I love my Steam Deck, but when it comes to continuing a game on Xbox Game Pass, or streaming from my console, the G-Cloud is a much better experience and will last a lot longer on the road. The screen is gorgeous. No, it’s not OLED, but it’s still vibrant and has well-balanced colors, blacks, and brightness. The controls are excellent. If you’re used to the Xbox controller, you’ll be used to this. Sound is very good, suitable for gaming or movies. So really, the big boondoggle here is the price. Logitech was nuts to release at the price they did. So I’m going to put this delicately but honestly: If you can get this device for under 300 buckaroonies, it’s worth it. Honestly, it should be priced closer to 250 dollarinos. If ALL you want and need is a really nice device to stream Game Pass games, I’d say 250 is a good price point where you won’t feel ripped off, but you’ll probably be feeling a bit sore about spending the original MSRP of 350. Shop around. Consider refurb or renewed.Oh, and I promised to compare to a mobile phone with a game controller. So here it is: I have several nice game controllers for my phone, both the Bluetooth type, and the direct USB-C connections (Backbone, X-2 Pro, Razer, etc.) and while that does work in a pinch, the fact is that any time you use your phone to stream cloud gaming, you’re draining battery and your phone’s battery isn’t as robust as the G-Cloud’s. And I don’t know about you, but I need my phone for other things, and don’t like running the battery down on a gaming session. And if you’re emulating, the phone battery is taxed even more. On top of all that, you’re still carrying around something about the same size and weight as the G-Cloud, and then tying up your phone when for the same size and weight you could have a dedicated device that has the controller built-in and pre-mapped, not to mention having a big 1080p screen. All in all, I consider it a good purchase if you’re a Game Pass member. An OK purchase for streaming Steam games. I can’t speak to PlayStation as I don’t own one, but if you’re into emulation it’s no slouch, either. It does what they advertise it to do, and anyone dinging it for not doing things they don’t advertise (i.e. everything except Cloud Gaming) is being unfair. Logitech sells this as a game streaming device (thus the name, G-CLOUD) and so I’m judging it primarily as that, and in that, it does a great job. Five Stars.

Great PS Portal alternative and lots of other features
I have been looking at this type of form factor device for at least a year. The Steam Deck and ROG Ally are attractive but can be expensive and I was worried about battery life and them becoming obsolete quickly as new versions are released. I bought this Used Like New and it came in the original box in perfect condition. I finally pulled the trigger after reading about how to use emulators with it and the fact that it integrates with the PS play and Xbox streaming apps. I find the emulation can be a little tricky, I’m still working on getting that perfect, but if you want it just to stream your PS4, PS5, or Xbox it has been really great. It also is a full on Android device, so it will work with a lot of Android games. For instance I had purchased Doom I and II on the Google Play store awhile back, and both play flawlessly with the controls. Just get a Micro SD card if you’re doing emulation or a lot of Android games. Some games still require the touchscreen but for ones that can use the controllers it’s great. The battery life is also fantastic. I have only had to charge a few times and it goes down very slowly. Screen size is a little bigger than a Nintendo Switch and it feels pretty comfortable to play for awhile. I would definitely recommend this
