GREAT driving/flying rig! Buy it, you’ll love it!

Short version: this seat is well-built, sturdy, easy to assemble and highly customizable. The customer service is incredible, truly above and beyond. I could not be happier with the purchase. So if you’re going to buy a rig, buy this one. Also, if you’re trying to decide whether you need a rig, allow me to offer this advice: you need a rig. Just buy this; you will not regret it.Longer version: I have now had this rig about 18 months. I bought it for both driving and flying in Virtual Reality using a Vive Index. For cars I use pretty high end Fanatec wheel/shifter/pedals, and for planes I use a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS with Logitech pedals. I wanted a rig that I could switch in between those two modes without too much trouble. I googled heavily and looked at over a dozen options, including a few that were over $1000. Few of them seemed setup well for both activities, and even those that were seemed like they would be painful to switch. This one had a smart design and great reviews, so I gave it a shot. I have been thoroughly impressed ever since.First, the kit: it’s perfect. With the extension (more on that in a bit) it’s perfectly positioned for both activities. The driving pedals/wheel attach with one knob; the flight pedals use that same attachment and the HOTAS (and gearshift on the rare occasions I use it) go on the arms of the chair with two knobs each. I can switch between driving and flying in about 2-3 minutes, and whichever set I’m not using fits easily in a hallway coat closet. Whichever setup I’m in, it’s completely rock-solid. The steering wheel was decently solid even before they sent me an improved attachment plate (again, more below) for free. There are also multiple positions for the HOTAS (center stick/side stick) and shifter (left/right). The chair is comfortable, has adjustable tilt, and the position of the wheel and pedals are independently adjustable. Putting it all together would have been straightforward even without the clear instructions with color photographs; with those instructions it’s impossible to mess up. They even included a “real” wrench…like one I’d find in my toolbox, not the disposable stamped-metal junk typically included in such contexts. If I was forced, under enhanced interrogation, to find a complaint, I would ask for more lumbar support. But so far I have not been forced to do that (and I have a separate lumbar cushion), so I have no complaints. Now, as to customer service: these guys are incredible! Several reviews with similar praise were definitely a factor in my decision, but even knowing that I’ve been blown away. At the time of my purchase, the company said a height extension kit was “coming soon” and a couple reviewers indicated they had been sent beta kits for testing. It worked fine without the extension, but I liked the idea of being 6″ higher (especially for flying) so I emailed asking about said kit. The company got back to me the same day with a friendly email clearly written by an actual human being; he said that they had finalized the kit (it was no longer in beta) and would be selling it soon….but he’d just go ahead and send me one for free. When it arrived it installed easily, and it’s a big improvement when flying. I assume they are now selling it; if you’re going to use this for flying I highly recommend getting it, though for driving it’s about the same either way. In any case, I would gladly have paid the asking price for it, and I found just sending it over for free impressive. So having already started an email conversation because of the extension, a few weeks into using the rig I made a couple of suggestions for future purchasers, such as either replacing a couple of allen keys with knobs or just including a few more of each. He wrote back and said it was a good idea, and then just sent me a bag of extra allens and knobs! Then at some point he wrote me to say they had redesigned the steering wheel attachment to be less resistant to inadvertent tilt changes; he promptly sent the updated one over for free. The old one hadn’t caused me much trouble, but it did need to be tightened down awful hard; the new one is much better, and presumably is now included by default. So that makes three separate items that these nice folks just packaged up and sent to me, for free, voluntarily. Two of them I didn’t even request. That’s just amazing. Possibly the most impressive customer service I have ever seen.If you couldn’t tell by the equipment I attach to this rig, I’m fairly hardcore about this sort of thing. I was willing to spend four digits if I needed to, and looked at some options in that range. If this chair cost $1200, I would still say it’s worth it. No kidding. But the good news is, it’s not! It’s a third of that! You can’t afford not to buy it!You’re still reading this? It’s written like Faulkner for Christ’s sake! Quit reading and go buy this rig!

    This is worth the purchase

Purchased on my wife’s account but I wanted to review this myself:I’ve wanted a home cockpit solution for a long time. Some way to get my peripherals off of my desk and, as a bonus, not wrench my steering wheel or shift knob from its clamp. To not have to hold my flight joystick in my lap and my throttle quadrant sitting on a homemade table. The OpenWheeler fits the bill and then some!I got the basic seat as well as the Civil Aviation configuration and the HOTAS configuration. Also added in the seat risers and the mount for my Buttkicker transducer.Everything came well and safely packaged and labeled at a level I don’t think I’ve experienced before. The bags had each screw set for each possible setup clearly labeled and seperated from the other parts. Bags inside bags had labels. The labels all correspond with a brightly colored, well written instruction manual. There are tools for each part requiring assembly. Real tools that could go in my toolbox. As a bonus, some of the extra configurations required different tools. They were included too. There were tools to deal with 3rd party peripherals! You can literally lock yourself in an isolated room with your peripherals, open the box or boxes and have EVERYTHING you need to assemble anything you purchased without ever leaving that room.Assembly of all of that, by myself, took me about two hours but I was taking my time at it. The only fly in my ointment was trying to attach the seat back to the seat bottom. The holes just didn’t want to line up. I eventually put the assembly on its side and was finally able to get everything where it was supposed to be. I think that was more a symptom of trying to do it by myself than any fault with the product, especially considering it hasn’t had a single issue at that attachment point since I put it together. I think my only other gripe was with the instructions for assembling the HOTAS. It took me a little bit to realize that I had to remove a base plate from my Warthog throttle quadrant (that I didn’t realize was there because I just thought that was the bottom of the throttle)For the assembly itself, the seat is very comfortable and adjustable. Just having the forward/back adjustment alone is awesome. Between the frame adjustments, seat adjustments… Heck, I can even recline the seat back like I do in my car. I’ve used this for both racing and flying. Its pretty easy to change out the peripherals as the whole thing is modular. Once you tighten it down, its solid as a rock. Racing with a FFB steering wheel, I can crank on the wheel, it can jump and buck all it likes… Solid as a rock. It is a game changer compared to having those things clamped to my desk. For flying, no Force Feedback there but… I can adjust every component to just the right height, just the right distance and, again, solid as a rock. It makes a big difference. The seller is extremely interested in the product and ensuring that the customer is getting outstanding customer support. I reached out to ask about the center mount for the joystick and mentioned that I was looking for another base plate for my joystick so I could switch between HOTAS and center mount easily and not have to disassemble the attachment plates every time. When the seller noticed I had ordered the center mount but had not replied to his answer to my questions, he took it upon himself to include in my order extra base plates as well as some knobs and very detailed instructions on how I could accomplish what I was trying to do. Upon hearing that one of my mounting plates appeared to be tilting and I wasn’t sure why, he provided detailed information on what might be wrong, how to fix it and, if I can’t fix it, stated he would replace it.The customer service is way above par. As a matter of fact, I can’t say if I’ve ever dealt with a merchant that went that far out of their way to ensure that the customer is happy with their purchase. As I said in the title, I think this is worth the purchase. Not only for a solidly made product that does exactly everything that is advertised and does it very well, but because the customer service itself, the interest of the seller in the customer and the product is, bar none, the best I’ve ever seen. If you’re on the fence, hop off of it. This is an excellent purchase you won’t regret.

Look No Further, This is the one!!

I purchased this simulator after a very extensive amount of time researching and reading about different setups. I spent 3 months looking around for the best setup for my budget and I decided on this cockpit. I must say after emailing ahead and speaking with customer service about a few different things including the length and size for my daughter who is 6 years old they informed me that they made a stubby plate mount for the steering so she could reach it better as well as an extra cushion pillow. I chose the red seat and purchased a set of the 4 point harness belts at the same time. During this purchase they threw in the stubby adapter and pillow cushion free of charge with free shipping. Getting into the quality of this rig and setup.. absolutely amazing quality. If your questioning the stability and design it’s very sturdy and setup perfect for some gear grabbing and racing. The frame itself is heavy duty and the seat is very nice! It’s a real seat that fully tilts back and forth as well as moves forward and back on a rail. The whole cockpit is setup to be fully adjustable to your heights and needs. I’ve spent Atleast 6 hours straight in the seat of playtime before writing this review and must say the seat is very comfortable!! I am very glad I made this decision on this purchase. I don’t usually write reviews but this one is a must! If your looking for a nice simulator+seat and don’t want to break the bank then this is the one. It’s easy to move and not to heavy, also has a set of wheels on the front bottom under the pedal mount so you can maneuver it around much easier. Speaking of pedal mount. Very sturdy and does not move or bend when pushing on the pedals. I had this thing put together in about 20 mins. The instructions are very thorough and easy to follow and the seat comes with the lower rail already mounted on so it makes it quick and easy. Also the setup comes with all the tools and mounting bolts needed to put the whole thing together as well as all the M6 bolts to mount your wheel, pedals and shifter. Also comes with extras for whichever wheel, pedal, shifter you decide to go with. Even comes with some nice wrenches to go with it. The 4 point harness setup I purchased with this went together quick and easy, instructions for these were also very easy to follow and the quality is great! I mounted a G920 Logitech wheel and pedals with the shifter all at once. Everything went together very smooth and lined up perfectly. There are pre drilled holes for every setup you could want. I’m very happy with my purchase and if your considering getting into a racing sim for this price you cannot go wrong!! Amazing quality and amazing customer service with immediate response with any questions!!

Solid, versatile, well worth the money!

I’ve been eyeing a good simulator seat for a while now, pulled the trigger on this one at the beginning of April and I am GLAD I did. Firstly, the seller (HomeRacing), fulfilled my order much faster than anticipated – my original date range for delivery was the 14th through the 24th of April (ordered on the 2nd) but they had it shipped out by Monday the 5th and made it by the 9th. I actually missed the first delivery on the 8th because I wasn’t expecting it and slept through FedEx at my door! The product itself does require a fair bit of assembly, but it comes with all of the tools and instructions you will need – wrenches, allen keys, etc. All of the various nuts, bolts, washers, and other hardware come in small bags that are clearly labeled as to where they should go. It may be a little overwhelming when you first open the box, but follow the instruction booklet and you should have it ready within a few hours. The only issue I had with assembly is that sometimes it isn’t clear what order you should place washers on bolts, etc, but other than that it was a fairly easy assembly.Another small issue is with the set of rolling wheels that attach to the back of the seat frame, they could stand to be slightly larger in diameter to help the back rails clear the carpet when rolling the seat from my office where it is stored when not in use, to my living room where it is used in tandem with my VR play area. I say this not to complain, but just to offer a small critique on how the product could be improved. To me it is still well worth it.I purchased the flight sim configurations to come with it – namely config #1 and config #4 as well as the seat risers. It more or less matches the virtual seat I see when playing Elite: Dangerous in VR, and having a solid platform on which to mount my HOTAS makes a world of difference. The seat is comfortable and solid, and great for long play periods – as someone who struggles with back pain having this has made a difference! I will probably end up ordering the lumbar and neck pillows as well as the 4-point harness (not that I need it but it would add to immersion when flying). The frame is heavy but solid and it does not feel flimsy at all. Finally, a word to the versatility of this product – this is meant to be a one-stop solution to all your sim seat needs, whether you’re looking for a commercial aviation setup, a stick jockey like myself, or a tires-to-the-pavement racer. I’ve never played racing games before but now I am looking into getting a steering wheel and shifter setup to have with the original configuration. The plates and attachments are designed to be quickly removed and swapped out, so you can rapidly reconfigure from wheel-shifter-car pedals to stick-throttle-rudder pedals, so you can go from playing Forza or Grand Turismo to Elite: Dangerous, Ace Combat, or Microsoft Flight Sim within minutes. All together this product is well worth the money, its versatility will make it useful for many different games and it has solid construction that feels like it will last for years. Once I pay it off I’m going to be looking to upgrade to additional controllers such as a VKB/Virpil flight stick as well as some racing controllers, but this product will make a great base for my future sim needs.

Great solid construction, configurability and comfort

I’m delighted with the OpenWheeler GEN3 Racing Wheel Stand Cockpit. Firstly it does need quite a bit of assembly. Everything is well packed and labelled, with separate bags for different stages of assembly. The instructions are well-written with good illustrations and photos. There are separate bags of parts for some specific third-party devices, such as Fanatec wheels and Thrustmaster H-pattern shifter, as well as generic bolts for attaching everything else. Everything can be put together by one person, although I found the trickiest part was attaching the seat back to the base – a second person here would be helpful, although I did manage by myself after a few minutes. Wrenches and allen keys are provided. I’d swear there was a 10mm wrench but It seems to have disappeared now, haha. The resulting rig is solid and there are plenty of options for moving everything around to fit your preferences. The seat tilts and slides like a normal car seat. The wheel can be moved closer/further away, raised/lowered and change its angle. Pedals can be moved closer/further, tilted either +/- 5 degrees from the default angle, and shifted left or right which is useful if you’re braking with the left or right foot. Most of those adjustments are with knobs, but altering the pedal configuration requires unbolting the pedal support and reassembling it, so I recommend trying it out with only hand-tightened bolts so you can see where you want everything, then move it to your liking before tightening everything down finally. The optional shifter support can be installed at either side, and can move left/right and up/down, but not forward/back. I don’t have a shifter installed yet so did not attach the support, but it’s easy to add it.I bought the 5 inch riser package and installed that while building the rig. I like the final height although I didn’t try it at its default low level so I can’t comment on how that would feel. I’m 6’1″ and my eyes are 42 inches above the floor when seated which means that a standard 31″ table puts the centerline of the display at eye level for me. Without the risers I would either be looking up at the display, or trying to find a lower table to support it.The rig is solid and feels well-constructed. Nothing moves around, flexes or creaks. Will it take seconds off your lap times in Assetto Corsa? Can’t guarantee it, but you’ll be comfortable finding out.

Very good entry level race platform

This a very sturdy entry level race platform. It was easy to assemble and came with all tools and hardware. It’s very adjustable and also easy to move around if you need too. I used it with a VR headset most of the time, but the included back rollers make it easy to move in front of my TV for Xbox play. I removed one star from the review because I think it should have come with lift kit. I really did not find it easy to get in and out of being right on the ground with a center mount wheel. Also, I think longer sessions were not good for my admittedly older back. The lift kit corrected both issues. It also gives the chair a natural tilt which makes it really comfortable. I do recommend this seat as a very good entry into the simulation racing. I use it with a logitech 920 wheel and pedals and it’s rock solid. I feel like an upgrade to a belt drive or lower end direct drive would be fine with this seat as well. I think this will serve me well for years.

    Awesome product and customer service.

I purchased this sim chair to go with my logitech wheel/pedals/shifter that I had been using on a coffee table. The same day I ordered it I sent team homeracer a message inquiring about additional parts for my thrustmaster t.flight hotas 4 flight stick and throttle. Within hours they had messaged me back saying they did have plate attachments and as they are a test batch they were shipping the pieces to me for free.I have had the chair for about two weeks now and the flight sim attachments for one week. The racing setup:There is some assembly required. It took about 30 minutes and they included all necessary tools (two regular wrenches and two Allen wrenches). The assembly instructions are very easy to follow and illustrated. They also include instructions for mounting your wheel/pedals/shifter with different instructions for different brands. All the small parts were bagged and labeled very clearly with a letter and what they were for.Once the chair is assembled it is very adjustable. Rubber coated knobs allow you to adjust: height and depth of steering column, height and width of shifter mount, depth of pedals. You can also adjust the seat itself just like a real car seat (depth and backrest angle).Everything is very sturdy. The shifter pedals and steering wheel all feel like they are part of the chair (no wiggle), and the chair itself does not rock at all while playing. While it is fairly heavy due to the solid materials (all metal) it is also easy to move thanks to the lockable wheels under the pedal plate. The chair itself is very comfortable. It contours and supports your body well. The amount of adjustability means it can fit a wide range of body types and sizes (I’m 6’00” and 250 lbs). The fabric feels durable and the padding has not degraded at all during two weeks of heavy use.I barely used my $300 racing sim controllers for over a year when I tried attaching them to my coffee table. Now with this chair I can’t get enough of them.Flight setup. As I already had the chair setup their was minimal assembly for this and again they included clear instructions and all necessary tools. They even let me know ahead of time that with my flight sticks (t.flight hotas 4) that I would have to extend the cord in order to get the side by side arrangement I wanted.Again they included multiple instructions and parts to mount different brands of flight sticks. The plates are sturdy enough that hard mounting the controls is not necessary though. They also included optional spacers to slightly raise and tilt the seat for flight sim.Overall:This greatly enhances the level of immersion you get from your sim experience. The assembly is easy and everything is provided.Comfort is top notch and allows for sim sessions of several hours without aches or cramps.Considering the price you could pay for something very similar this chair is a steal.I cannot overstate how impressed I am with the product and the company.Five stars on everything.

Amazing, Expensive, and totally worth every penny.

Love this seat. Expensive and hard to justify but amazing.I spent 10 years simracing from an office char on my PC, too young and financially burdened to justify spending any money on a sim seat. Now, over 10 years since giving up simracing with the death Papyrus’s “Nascar Racing” series, a recent demo of Forza 6 and a cheap wheel had me itching to race again. The wheel mounted on a tray table just wasn’t doing anything for me (uncomfortable and unstable).I started watching this seat/stand and knew it was amazing but figured my wife would never go for it. After convincing her that you only live once and it was worth it, she surprised me with this for Christmas.Easy to Assemble, Highly Adjustable, Comfortable, Incredibly well made and just really absolutely beautiful. Wheels on the front under the pedal mount to lift the seat and drag it out of the room when she wants it out of sight are a perfect addition. I bought a cheap non force feedback wheel (but now wish I had gone for Force Feedback) Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 , so the red on black wheel matches perfectly. It is rock solid when driving. There are simply no “cons”. You get what you pay for. It is expensive and was hard to justify but once you own it, you wonder why you didn’t get one sooner.I left off the side gear shifter adapter as I do not have one. It saves space and there is less to bump into when moving around it. It is a big chair but the resulting cushioning is perfect.

Rock solid construction, 6 star support!

I can’t sing the praises of this company highly enough. With the DD conversion kit, this thing is rock solid at high FFB levels. And whenever I have a small issue, the customer service is above and beyond what I expected. Great rig, great business

If your into racing(or flight) this is for you!

I rarely write reviews but had to for this. It is awesome! I was very happy with my other wheel stand, light, easy to stow. But it was not very stable. I always had to be a bit careful with braking pressure and how hard throw the wheel around. With this setup, and using VR, I am falling I living with racing sims all over again! Solid, stable, and comfortable, even for me being on the fluffy side! Full disclosure cause it’s a question I always have, “will I fit comfortably?” Well I’m 5’10 and about 280(working on it) and it fits me just fine. When I was over 325 I could have seen it being maybe a bit tight of a squeeze, but not much. So much space to slide the rail with the pedals and wheel stand away.A great feature is the ability to slide the seat like in a real car, of course you can lean the seat back as well, but being able to find that perfect setup, and not have to adjust it to get out, makes it way easier for me to race when I might not be feeling like pulling out my old setup.Again you can check my history, I don’t leave many reviews, but this one demanded it of me, I’m pretty frugal and spending this much money is never a throw away thing for me. Worth every penny!Only problem I have now is figuring out a way to set up my hotas and rudder in an easy way to switch out.

    Very versatile sim rig!

This sim rig is awesome! It is made from thick quality steel, that makes the unit strong and stable. Personally I love how versatile the system is, you can easily convert from a HOTAS to a driving simulator to a civillian yoke and pedal flight simulator. Want your flight stick center mounted between your legs you can do that, want it off to the side can do that as well! The only negatives thing I can say is it absolutly should come with the 5 inch seat height kit as it is a must have! Also the center post mounting of the steering wheel can rub on your legs but they offer a “direct drive wheel mount” that does away with the center post and has a more standard table style wheel mount so if you decide the center post is a bother ( really doesn’t bother me) you can change that as well! Basically its customizeable to anything you could want IMO! Love this cockpit!

    Almost perfect.

The biggest design flaw of this is as clean as it is, your feet are so close together that getting around the bar in the middle is really uncomfortable around the legs. On a G923 Logitech, because the pedals are so close you are guaranteed to hit the bar in the middle which is why many simulator chairs are designed with side mounts. When comparing this feature and adding the accessories, the design has way too many parts that look unsightly as opposed to the more expensive versions from their competitors. As a flight simulator chair, this is certainly a bargain but I don’t recommend it as a racing sim chair because of the center bar.

Awesome value, sturdy rig and high-quality!

This is the best bang for the buck rig you can find — after hours of combing the internet, watching YouTube, asking friends I ended up with the Openwheeler GEN2 Racing Cockpit. Shipping was being super delayed (thanks FedEx) but Dimitar at HomeRacer (the seller) was super responsive when I reached out and air-mailed me another order that arrived just in time for Christmas and I shipped back the original order that sat in a FedEx warehouse for two weeks before they delivered it.I’ve mounted up a Logitech G920 with manual shifter and it fits perfectly, all hardware was included for sturdy mounting (no wiggle/wobble or anything in the steering column). The seat is also very high quality and I love the quick adjust settings, it’s definitely large enough for a full-size adult. I’m six foot standard build and there’s plenty of room for someone even larger than myself to be comfortable.I recently added a USB extension cord to increase the distance between the console and the G920 as the OEM cord is pretty short once set up on the rig. Audio can be streamed through headphones via the controller for an immersive surround-sound experience without disrupting others. The only shortcoming of this rig that I’ve found is the center-post mount for the steering wheel — that being said, there are plenty of configuration options and I don’t have any issues accessing the pedals. Next addition will be a Buttkicker Gamer2 for even more immersion, but even without it this right has totally changed the experience of driving games. 10 out of 10 I would buy this again for the price.

    Sturdy, super adjustable, totally awesome!

This seat vastly exceeded my expectations. I thought it was a cheap starter seat, but in person it’s hard to imagine anything better. Here are some of its virtues:1. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble it, and a great pictorial instruction book.2. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. Look at how they put a zipper over the bolts that attach the back of the seat. A lot of thought went into this product.3. Everything is adjustable relative to everything else. I had thought about building my own, and I am so glad I didn’t. You can adjust the distance from the seat to the pedals, the height, forward back position, and angle of the wheel. You can adjust the height, the left/right position, and the forward back position of the shifter relative to the seat. You can recline the seat. You can get just the position you want. There is no way I would have achieved that with a custom built rig.4. It has nice little touches that I didn’t even think I needed, like casters that let you roll it around. I didn’t originally plan to move it, but that proved useful.FYI, I am 6’4″ and 200 lbs and I fit comfortably in this seat. It’s very sturdy. Overall, I would just buy this and be done with it. It is a really well made product.

Quality Gaming Seat, easy assembly with G29 Console

Bought the OpenWheeler rig for my new Logitech G29. I will start with the package: It came in pretty large box, and couple more boxes with parts and hardware inside. Packaging was pretty good. Chair was bubble wrapped and all the rest of the parts were individually bubble wrapped in two additional boxes.Assembly: It took me about 20 minutes to assemble it and mount my Logitech G29 wheels and pedals on it. Assembly manual was pretty straight forward. I followed the short instructions with pictures step by step and no surprises there.Seat: The seat is made of fabric material, and it looks pretty solid. Seat itself is deep bright blue ( I picked the color). They had five or six more colors available If I am not wrong. The backrest has a little bump for my lumbar support which I like. I have done over 5 hours racing and the seat is very comfortable.Chassis: Chassis is all made of powder coated or zinc plated metal square tubing and plates. By eye, I would say the steel is about 1/8 thick. Everything is held together by rubberized handle knobs. Extremely adjustable: seat sliders, reclining backrest, up/down forward backward wheel position, forward backward pedal plate. I don’t plan on using gear shifter for the mount included in the kit so I am planning to come with something to make a cup holder out of it. My Logitech G29 bolted down right on. All hardware and some tools are included.I can definitely recommend the Openwheeler seat/stand and I am very happy with the G29 combo I chose. Hope the above detailed review helps the rest of fellow racing gamers out there.

The chair you have been looking for!

I have been shopping around for several months. I have been looking for something that is easy to move out of the way as I am setting it up in the middle of my VR space. I have an HTC Vive and sometimes play seated games and sometimes need to move around. Most sim chairs have built in for monitors, and are heavy and cumbersome to move around. This item is perfect for my VR cockpit. The build quality of the product is impressive. In no way does it feel cheap or shortcuts taken. I have attached pictures I have yet to cable manage as I am waiting on HOTAS mounts to come in and will update once that does and I have it neatly set up. Right now there are cables everywhere.I got it mostly for Elite Dangerous and soon to be Star Citizen. The assembly was simple and adjustments can be made on the fly as all the knobs are rubber coated and easily adjust. The chair fully reclines and slides forward or back on rails as a regular car seat would. Most important to me is its easy to move. There are two wheels in the front you can move the unit around easily. This allows me to move it out of the way so I can use my 16’x16x space for room scale VR games. Then simply wheel it back into location for seated VR games. If you are looking for something sturdy, movable for your VR space or sim needs this is the chair to get.I will update this with more pics once my setup is complete.

100% happy with the whole experience and the quality of the setup !

I am new to the sim world and what sold me on this chassis was customer service. I call their hotline and told them the sim gear that I was purchasing (flight sim) and they set me up with everything I needed to be 100% happy with the results! They even made a custom part to fit my needs perfectly! If all companies treated their customers like this the world would be amazing!1 month update: I have been using it almost everyday and still I’m amazed at the fit, finish, and quality of the setup…. I could not ask for anything better. No matter what your size, this chassis Is infinitely adjustable to make it perfect for you. There are setups out there that cost twice OR MORE what this one was and there is no way they could be that much better. Highly recommend giving these guys a call….. you will not be disappointed! Thank you!

Great racing cockpit if space is limited and you need to adjust on the fly

I’ve had my Openwheeler cockpit for about three weeks now and could not be more trilled with it. It was packaged very well and right out of the box fairly simple to put together. Honestly the hardest part of assembly was just connecting the seat to the backrest (definitely a two person job). After that assembly takes about twenty minutes. Right off the bat its great how easy you can adjust the position of the seat, the wheel mount, moving the pedals left or right depending on your feet placement, even getting the shifter mount at the right height. I’m 6’2 and fit in the cockpit with very few issues ( I have noticed that if I have the seat too far up my knees get in the way of the wheel mount but its not that big of an issue and just took some adjustment on my part). To prove the adjust-ability of the cockpit my fiancee who is about 5’2 sat down into it and all she had to do was move the seat up in order to use it.With everything hooked up and mounted the cockpit is still quite easy to move. I’m limited on space at the moment so the cockpit needs to be moved from time to time away from my tv and it’s really no problem at all. I imagine even taking the whole thing apart would only take five minutes. It really is the perfect racing cockpit for someone who wants a near authentic experience without breaking the bank and dedicating a whole room for setup.

Why get a steering wheel mount when you can get a racing simulator for a little more?

I started out looking at Wheel Stand Pro Super G to mount my Logitech G29, but quickly stumbled upon the OpenWheeler Gen 2. Based on the large number of positive reviews I decided it was worth the extra money to get a full racing rig. Glad I made the leap!I added the OpenWheeler Seat Lift Kit and OpenWheeler Universal Bracket so I could mount a Buttkicker mini LFE subwoofer to my setup. With these upgrades I no longer have a racing seat, I own a racing simulator! The item was packed very well and the box was no larger than it needed to be. Assembly and setup were a breeze. I suggest you get the Seat Lift Kit at time of purchase to simplify the setup process and save you the trouble from disassembling it all later. I believe the seat lift kit should be included standard since it’s so good, but understand the manufacturer is trying to hit a lower price point to compete with other solutions. My first recommendation for future improvement includes changing the location of the three large knobs on the base of steering column and main support. Their placement makes entry and exit a bit awkward and it seems like I’m always bumping my feet into them. The rig is sturdy enough, but if they could place the large knobs on the side it would make entry and exit easier. My second recommendation would be to alter the design so I could push the steering wheel further away from me, but bring the foot pedals closer. I like to drive with my arms a bit more extended. Maybe a “U” shaped cut out in the foot pedal plate?Overall, I’m extremely happy with the OpenWheeler setup and my buddy is impressed with it. He now loves playing Gran Turismo. Previously, he said he wasn’t into racing games, but he sure is now! Very happy with my investment.

Excellent product, even better customer service.

You won’t find a better price to quality cockpit in this range. This is my 4th year using this cockpit (upgraded version that removes the post) with a 11nm wheel, shifter, and handbrake attached. There’s zero wear; excellent product. Customer service on more than one occasion has sent me adapters, spacers, bolts, nuts, etc. to improve the experience free of charge.

Really close to a real seat

The seat is comfortable and is very adjustable. It can almost pass for a real bucket seat. However, the sides of the seat are unsupported underneath like real racing buckets. They are too soft for you to get in or out as support, so you may break them accidentally or by habit. The seat sits low to the floor so it feels like you’re in a formula one car, but there are lifters that can be puschased separately if you prefer a higher level or you’re too tall to get off from the floor. In that respect, the steering post does sort of get in the way despite pushing it all the way back. I am tall person, so…The pedal plate incline is pretty much perfect, and there are about 6+ knobs to adjust to your most comfortable seating settings. One thing is that the steering wheel plate is thin and metallic, in a porous finish. It’s not meant for all wheel controls. The one I purchased had suction cups, which need a smooth surface, and a table clamp. I resolved the issue using a few cut cardboards to make enogh thickness for the steering wheel clamp. A piece of plywood may also be useful.Another thing to note that this seat also has other adapters sold separately for speakers, or whatever the user may want to apply, even adapters for for flight simulator controls, and even racing sear belts.Shipping took three days, very fast for a large and heavy box, and assembly takes maybe half an hour, and the tools are included as well. The only quirk about this is that it depends the color you choose wether they can ship it to your location or not. The same goes for the adapters as, I really wish I could, but can’t send for the seat height adapters. Bummer.

    Best Budget Racing Setup

After doing a TON of research and deliberation when buying my entry level iRacing setup, I chose to buy the OpenWheeler Gen3. I was looking for a solid starter rig at a decent price, as I didn’t want to sink a bunch of money into a professional level racing rig to start out.First of all, I will say that I am exceedingly impressed and happy with my purchase. While the OpenWheeler comes in at a relatively budget price, you definitely get an exceptional value. There are no structural issues (bending, flexing, etc.) or any other issues that seem common across reviews of other rigs. While I am only using a Logitech G29 and not an expensive wheel setup, I have confidence that the OpenWheeler would handle them if needed.Packaging and assembly were very nice, with clearly written and understandable directions (with proper grammar!). It comes with bolts and hardware for multiple Wheel/Pedal models from all the major brands as well as all the tools needed to put the rig together. I opted to get the optional lift kit to raise the seat off the ground, which is a must for anyone who does not want to sit directly on the floor as the seat would be VERY low without the kit. After using the OpenWheeler for a few weeks, I have nothing but amazing things to say. Everything is adjustable to get the exact position that is comfortable for you and easily adjusted for others. I am happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a sim rig for racing of any caliber.

Great entry-level cockpit with some caveats.

Overall this is a great entry level cockpit, but there are some things I wish I had considered beforehand.Pros:Great QualityPretty sturdy (if using entry or mid-level gear)Easily and quickly adjustableLightweightTakes up very little space and can be split in half just by loosening the bottom bar for easy storage. The flexibility of this rig is the best part. The seat is high quality and very comfortable, and I’m happy with how easy it is to move it. It doesn’t have to be a permanent part of my room. Now for some cons that I should have realized beforehand:The adjustable nature means that needs to be readjusted somewhat frequently. For instance, if you have a heavy brake (such as the conical mod or load cell brakes), then after a couple hours on road courses you’ll find that the rig has extended about half an inch. Easy to adjust at a pit stop, but a bit annoying. The bar in the middle makes it difficult and uncomfortable to use a 3 pedal setup as the middle bar blocks your brake. I work around this by adjusting the pedals further to the right (which this rig gives you room to do), but that means I cannot left foot brake. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but I do wish I had more flexibility with my legs.I doubt that the center post will support a direct drive wheel. It also does not go up high enough when you get the optional lift kit, which can be a little annoying in VR since my arms are well below what i’m seeing.Overall I like this rig, but weigh the pros and cons first so you know what you’re getting.

Very comfortable but not perfect out of the box. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

The chair: Very comfortable, can easily sit in it hours at a time and have no issues. The reclining feature is nice, but out of the box without the weight of the peddals its quite tippy when reclining. (There is an extention you can buy to solve this bit its fairly pricy for 2 metal beams).Addons: There are dozens of addons available. While some of them should maybe be included in the box, there still available unlike some other rigs I’ve seen. The chair without the 5″ riser kit is far to low for me. Your only an inch or two off the ground. Highly recommend buying them right away. The Frame: Solid. Unsure how it would hold up with a stronger wheel, (Using the Logitech g920 here) but there is very little wobble if everything is tightened correctly. The rubber coating on the hand screws is wonderful, you can really crank it tight. I noticed most rigs are just bare plastic. Ouch. The peadle and wheel come off with just 1 hand screw which makes it very easy to disassemble and convert to a normal chair.Overall: Solid built quality but not perfect out of the box. But the available addons are well thought out and massively improve your experience. The ability to add arm rests would earn this chair 5 stars for me. As that would make this the all in one perfect experience for gaming and movies.

    Great racing experience

I bought this chair and really like it. It provides a great racing experience. I use it along with a Thrustmaster T-GT Racing Wheel and pedals and a Samsung Odyssey+ VR headset. When playing Project Cars 2 it literally feels like I’m driving a real car. It’s very fun and very realistic. The chair itself isn’t as at the same level as a real car seat. But with that being said both the chair and the frame are well made and feel very solid. And the seat can be adjusted just like a regular car seat. You can also adjust the position and angle of the steering wheel mount. The pedal mount can also be adjusted front, back, left and right. This thing can be adjusted to fit just about anybody.I have seen some complaints about the wheel post being in the way. I haven’t had a problem with that. But I did have to adjust the pedal mount to one side to make things work. The post is solid and works fine. One nice thing about it is that it moves a very small amount when using heavy force feed back. This causes road effect to be felt better through the steering wheel and also provides a small amount of road effect feel to the frame, seat, and pedals. But you would probably need a steering wheel with strong force feedback ability to get this effect.I bought the 5 inch riser kit option when I got the seat and I’m glad I did. I would STRONGLY recommend getting it to anybody. It raises the seat 5 inches. Which makes it easier to get in and out of. It also improves the angles of the pedals in relation to your feet (in my opinion).

    Openwheeler Racing Wheel Stand

The Openwheeler Stand arrived by UPS ahead of scheduled delivery date. It was shipped in a large oversized box & everything was included with no missing parts. Packaging was great as nothing was damaged during shipping. It did take a dolly to move the box around prior to opening as it was a big box & heavy. I am very pleased with the quality of the Openwheeler Racing Wheel Stand. I could see no other stand coming even close as the thing is made of interlocking steel square bars. The Logitec G Driving Force Wheel, Shifter, & Pedal bundle set right up with precision. No holes to drill. no clamps to break, just absolute perfection. The big knobby screw handles are totally awesome for tightening & unscrewing for adjustments. My only drawback of the thing was it is too low to the ground. I get in without a problem but have issues getting out. We manage though. I am working on a lift for it to raise the back end up so it isn’t sitting on the floor. Assembly was a breeze as you get all the wrenches you need for assembly with the stand. I wish I had something like this years ago. I like the fact that I can take the stand apart in 2 pieces & take to a friends house with out having to un-mount the wheel or pedals. Just unscrew one adjusting knob, pull stand out of seat, & off we go. It makes resetting it up a breeze as I have marked my adjustment spot. I did have the shifter holder attached for a while & it worked perfectly, but took it off as I use the shifter on the wheel. All in all, this was the best thing that I have bought for my self in a long time.

    Better Than Expected!

I’m a bit cheap in general, and in particular when spending money on toys that a grown-ass man shouldn’t even need. 🙂 But, I got tired of using my wheel/pedals in an office chair, and recently switched to a standing-only desk as well. So, it was time to spend some money.I looked at lots of options and this was by far the most affordable for this type of setup. I use a Logitech G920 and only race iRacing, but I race pretty consistently (several hours per week on average). This ticked all the boxes, so I pulled the trigger.Shipping was pretty quick and it arrived undamaged which is always a concern with large items like this. Packaging was great, everything you need is in the box and instructions are better than most. Assembly didn’t take long at all, and there is a nice amount of adjustability. I’m 6′-2″ and about 225 pounds, didn’t have any trouble finding spacing that worked well for my needs.I’ve spent quite a few hours in this seat now and have no real complaints. It holds up well, is reasonably comfortable, and is vastly superior to sitting in an office chair while pretending to be a race car driver. I always race in VR as well, so little bit of fiddling to get a functional desktop setup going, but as it sits now it works okay and even for long endurance races I am comfortable and competitive.Highly recommend – honestly it’s hard to believe they can sell it at this price and make money at it!

Solid, stable, no shortage of adjustments.

I was a bit wary of shelling out this much for a seat. But it was worth it. I was worried about 230lbs of midwest lard being all wobbly in it, but nope, not at all. Assembly wasn’t a issue. We had it put together in about 30 min. Nice that they included all the tools. Also nice it comes with a shifter mount. My only gripe is self inflicted, it’s a bit short for in my office, but it’s perfect height for my living room, but having said that, it’s still fine in the office. You can purchase optional risers I believe. The support bar for the steering wheel isn’t as big a issue as I’ve seen some make it out to be. There is enough adjustment it’s easily overcome. Seat is pretty comfortable, I wouldn’t want to go 6 hours in it, but I’ve easily killed 2-3 hours in it at a time with no ill effects that aren’t brought on from being a semi-fat old guy. It’s not top of the line, but it’s movable so you don’t have to dedicate a whole area for a rig, like I said we use it in 2 places in my house and it’s more effort to move other stuff out of the way (for proper placement) than moving the seat around. Absolutely worth it.

    Great Seat

Despite the female account name, I’m a 6′ 2″, 180lb male. I bought this seat at the start of the pandemic and have used it daily ever since. The 5″ lift kit is essential if you are going to have your monitor on a desk. I’m using a Logitech wheel with Fanatec pedals and everything fit. Instructions were excellent and all the tools were furnished. Construction is solid and has held up well. It’s easy to move when I need to use a conventional chair. Two things to consider if you are looking at this chair.1. The center post might make it hard to heel and toe if that is your driving style. I wear a 13 (US) shoe and it would be tough. I left foot brake so I keep one foot on either side of the wheel post.2. I wear a 35″ sleeve length and I have adjusted the wheel as far forward as it will go. Another inch of adjustment would be helpful. It’s not a deal breaker…Update 2/3/21: I took another look at the mounting plate and found I could get my extra room by moving my pedals to a different hole location. I could use two existing holes and had to drill two new holes in the pedals. Problem solved!

    Look No Further!

I rarely write reviews, but would be remiss had I not spread the word about this outstanding product.First, the quality and assembly. High quality materials, craftsmanship, hardware, durable seat material, and even shiny box wrenches that are nice enough to throw in your tool box when you’re done! The finishes on the metal and the welds were perfect. If you’re like me, you’ve assembled your share of furniture/chairs/equipment etc. with great frustration. These are without a doubt the best written and clearest instructions I’ve seen in my life. The hardware was provided in individual zip locked bags that allowed you to quickly zero in on what you need instead of sifting through a pile of nuts and bolts. They even go the extra mile and provide a zipped fabric pouch to hang onto the unused hardware, tools, manual, etc.The pedal, wheel, and shifter platforms are predrilled to support a variety of manufacturers’ products. And, they also provide the hardware to support each manufacturer. And if you’re concerned about size, there are adjustments for the seat back angle, distance to pedals, steering wheel height and angle, and shifter height. Hard to imagine kids through adults not being able to enjoy it.You couldn’t ask for anything more from this cockpit. An absolute steal for the price!Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Great cost effective way to build a racing sim

There are so many options out there for racing sims and by far OpenWheeler cockpits are built to last. They are solid sturdy frames you can adjust the seat forward backward and tilt. Each piece that is built to be apart of the sim cockpit is all metal no plastic at all. One thing I’d like to mention is when I purchased mine about 3 years ago maybe 4 years now there were no stands so the cockpit sat on the floor I emailed the team about the issue and if they had a fix for it yet and the sent me the 4 legs to raise the seat up by 4-6 inches Now when I sit down it doesn’t feel like I’m sitting on the floor! If you are looking for a racing sim build at a cost effective price for a quality product this is it.

    Quality product

Very good product with “somewhat” simple assembly and decent instructions.Installation: The two most difficult things were lining up the back of the chair and the base, and getting the Logitech steering wheel attached. Those two things should be easy but were very difficult to get in the right place. I was originally going to swap the steering wheel and flight stick regularly but probably not due to how difficult and time consuming it was to align the holes.Use: The product is very comfortable. It’s simple to adjust for different people without needing to reassemble. The only thing that can be improved is adding a way to adjust the steering wheel angle without having to use the allen key. That should have been adjustable as well with a knob.

High quality. Like the Swiss army knife of sim rigs.

This rig is high quality and the seller, Homeracer, provides great service. I originally had a next level rig ordered but canceled due to wanting a racing and flight rig and not just one dedicated rig. Openwheeler cockpit has multiple configurations that allow me to easily switch out components.Initial setup provided instructions on how to setup multiple racing configurations and this rig is sturdy. I ordered the flight configuration pack 5 for my flight equipment and it was easy to convert the racing rig to a flight rig. The thing I love most is that once you initially mount the sim equipment, you never have to unmount it to swap from racing to flight configurations. All you have to do is replace a few poles with your gear already mounted and can be playing in less than a few minutes.

From a retired teacher: These instructions are OUTSTANDING.

It’s comfortable and sturdy. It’s clearly well-made and asthetically pleasing. Moreover, the ease of assembly is a direct reflection of the instructions. The written instructions are not on a sheet of paper from a copier; they are in a full-color booklet….actually, it’s two booklets. Each step includes color photos, clear and concise directions and options for any variation that may be needed. The included hardware is a symphony of organization (I’m a retired science teacher–geeky? Yes.). Each step that requires hardware refers to the exact bag needed. Each bag is labeled, numbered, inventory listed on it….I could go on and on just about their ability to bag and tag. They include the metric wrenches you will need to complete the project….real wrenches! You will keep these in your tool box.Ok, I’m done. It’s great.

Solid rig from a great company.

Solid product!! All around very happy I bought this. It came with good tools to put it together with, also instructions were not bad either. But they had a great video on YouTube by the company that shows you how to put it together real quick. Very strong rig. I also bought the seat risers. Also good quality. I had one strip out it might have been my fault. But regardless I reached out to the seller telling them that I might have stripped one out during the install and they got back to me within a few hours and 2 day aired me a whole new set. What a great company and an even better race rig for the price. If your thinking about getting it. You won’t be disappointed. Also after sitting in this chair for pretty much the entire last week, and not being able to tell how comfortable is would be from the pictures. I have too say I got lucky with this one! It is so comfortable I am an older dad 6’1 & 220lb and I can’t sit in anything too long, but this chair is probably my favorite part of the whole thing. Everything was very well done. Great product great service. I recommend you take a hard look at this one. Hope this helps someone out there and have a great day.

I was very happy everything I needed to get to playing my games …

First thing I noticed when starting the assembly was the fact they sent full sized wrenches with it. Laying out the pieces one by one I inspected the weld and was very impressed with the thickness of the metal. The assembly was smooth and the instructions was clear. It came with multiple mounting bolts for not only the pedals but the shifter as well.I was very happy everything I needed to get to playing my games was in the box. After it was complete, it was time for a stress test. I launched a game and drove it like I stole it.I go into 3rd hard, very hard. The chair arm for the shifter never budged, stayed firm. Jamming the gas/brake/clutch, and I mean standing on the gas, the plate that holds the pedals never flexed or moved. I am a 240 lb guy, I put some pounds per sq inch down when I am playing. What would I change? The wings on the chair that come from the base on the sides. I wish they was more firmly connected to the center piece or designed to hold itself in a vertical position. An easier way to tuck away and hide wires without taking away the integrity of the metal.Needs an option when buying to raise it, I need it a foot or two taller. I am an Injured Veteran so getting down and up in this chair is a chore.Would I purchase this product again? Yes. I have already recommended it to multiple people.

    Great setup, bad instructions…..

Seems sturdy, and great design and setup. I have yet to actually play on it but I set it up tonight to have it ready tomorrow. The only real complaint is the instructions fall short of informative. None of the actual parts are labeled, only the hardware bags and the way the instructions are written for the hardware is confusing at best (IE: instead of saying “use bag letter B”, they have it “use Group 1 bag G” but no group numbers are there and bag has only letters and you have to figure out what “Group” they are talking about). Took a little bit to figure everything out but I got it done. Took a little less then a hour from start to finish due to the instructions, but once your past that hurdle, it flows pretty well. Seat is comfy for sure. All in all, great rig and well made. I would recommend!

Incredible quality and modularity; pay only for what you need

After using this cockpit for a few weeks, I am happy to write a 5-star review! The best thing about this cockpit is its combination of both rigidity and modularity. I have a center-mounted flight sim setup, and by loosening one knob, I can quickly remove my rudder/stick mount and replace it with my racing wheel/driving pedals mount. Being able to swap between setups so easily, I still would have been happy if their design wasn’t 100% stable. But it is VERY stable! For comparison, I have tried another company’s sim pit for work (won’t mention the brand name, but they charge more than OW), and that one was not able to switch between racing/flying setups, and not a single control or keyboard tray would stay where I put it. I won’t go into more detail on that one, cause this isn’t a review for them. But that’s to say this cockpit is of much higher quality than I expected for the price.I have seen other reviews criticize OW for “nickel and diming” with add-ons, but I don’t see it that way. If it had shipped with every feature that is currently optional, this cockpit would be much more expensive, and we would have had plenty of users paying for features they don’t want or need. This way, you can buy exactly the parts you want for your own requirements. They also have great customer support. When I ordered mine along with the center-stick bracket and rudder pedals mount, they reached out immediately by email to confirm my order (I still needed the kit that included the throttle bracket and would have had no way to mount it otherwise). They included a phone number that I called to discuss my order, which was immediately answered. They want to get you a good product and are happy to help you configure it exactly for your needs.

Great rig and even better customer support.

I purchased this sim pit around 4 months ago for flight sim and have been extremely happy with my purchase. It was easy to assemble and the materials all feel high quality. The flexibility of the pit is really nice, and I was able to get everything adjusted to fit me comfortably. It would be nice to have a more flight sim focused seat with a cutout for the stick and without the wings on the back, but that’s really the only criticism I could come up with and it really doesn’t get in my way the majority of the time.By far the best part of this purchase, however, has been the excellent customer support from Team HomeRacer post purchase. When I switched some of the hardware in my rig and needed a different mounting option, they were able to work with me and create a listing just for me that had the parts I needed without me having to buy extra parts I didn’t need. Their responses have been timely and professional, and every time I interact with them it makes my day. I’ve seriously never had better customer service. I didn’t even think this level of customer service existed in 2022. Can’t recommend them enough, you won’t regret your purchase.

    Better than I thought!

As the title says, this product turned out better than I thought. The construction is solid with minimal plastic parts. Most of the metal is aluminum or coated and feels very rigid. The seat is comfortable and has a cut out for flight sticks. Assembly with my other sim devices was well explained with the directions and easy to install. With this order I picked up the flight sim package with the chair. A representative from the company contacted me and told me one item was included with the order and refunded the cost of the extra item without a second thought. Delivery was prompt! The packaging was rigid and provided excellent protection of the components. This setup has been amazing for my immersive VR flight sim experience!Overall, I would give this company more than 5 stars if I could – especially with the exceptional customer service! I like that they provide a multitude of upgrade options and that their prices are reasonable for a beginner or experienced sim player. I highly recommend this company and their products without hesitation.

Great, sturdy quality! Amazing customer service!

Ok, so I have had this wheel stand for about a year and a half now, really started getting used when Forza 7 came out, have done almost 15,000 miles in F7 on this stand, and it’s as sturdy as the day I got it!The build quality is top notch! I’ve been on other sets that have all felt too wobbly. This is including Playseat… I think the main difference would have to be this set using square metal work instead of sets that use round tubing. The Openwheeler set really locks into place, and doesn’t wobble from side to side. And all without the need of awkward stabilizers on the chassis spine. Less to stub toes on, scrape wooden floors, just an overall smaller profile. I have never had any unwanted movement!Pros:Comfortable seat.As stated before, incredibly sturdy!Wheel(Logi G920) mounted with no issues.Just about all wheels mounting kit included. Even quick release zip ties for tidy wire management!Tools too, they really set you up!Up and running in no time.Great, quick responding, customer service!*ALSO, if you happen to not use a shifter, you can see in one of my photos, a yellow circle outlining the shift mount bracket being used as a support to get in and out of your chair easier! Kind of neat!Pro-Con:It’s hefty to roll around, but well worth the build of course! Pro-con, haha.Other notes! I am opting to upgrade the chassis of my Openwheeler set! I happen to be in a good position to do so and am in no way doing it because of anything negative about my chassis now! Can’t stress that enough! My chassis will be donated to a close friend so he can hopefully get into wheel racing with me! So it will go on to serve many more years of use!Quick summary, if you’re looking for a wheel stand, and you don’t want to worry bout the wobbles!! You’ll go with an Openwheeler!

Amazing seat adjustability, small footprint, and girlfriend approved. (Arozzi Velocita Owner)

Arozzi Velocita owner review:Wow! What an amazing deal! This racing cockpit screams quality. You get LABELED HARDWARE for every major consumer racing wheel/pedals/shifter (My Logitech G920 had separate bags for its hardware, and the fanatec thrustmaster hardware was labeled in two separate bags). You get EASY instructions with a full set of tools to make assembly a piece of cake. Also, the instructions show you how to mount an e-brake, butt kicker, and flight simulator components. You can smell the memory foam in the seat! The seat is sturdy, large, and very pleasant to the eye (girlfriend approved!). Furthermore, there is little to NO flex on the whole rig. The only flex I can barely notice is on the wheel base (it is a single pole mount so the little flex you do get is not as bad as my Arozzi Velocita. The pedal base has NO flex! And I stand on the brakes with my Logitech G920 no brake mod.I purchased the Velocita for $200. It came in, and I was blown away by the build quality. However. The whole rig looks like a damn eyesore. It was NOT girlfriend approved. You need to attach your own office chair (which is another $100 if you don’t want to migrate your chair back and forth between your desk and Velocita), and it sits too high for my use. Furthermore the wobble in the rig was too much for me. No matter how I tightened it, the rig would not stay sturdy. If you are on a budget. THIS IS THE RACING SETUP FOR YOU. Trust me. I know $378 is A LOT OF MONEY. But for $378 you get the same sturdy, quality racing experience as if you were to spend any amount of money more up to the $1000 range. I could’ve got this unit for $350, but I chickened out. If you see this product for $350 or less, buy it and pat yourself on the back for getting an amazing purchase.

    Amazing!!

Sooo expensive, but so worth it. This was the “big gift” for my 10-year-old son this past Christmas and he absolutely loves it, as do all his cousins, my brothers, my fiance, etc.. He is just over 4 feet tall and on the smallest setting, this fits him perfectly. My fiance is 6’5″ and the largest setting was able to accommodate him comfortably as well. It really is like a fully functional car seat, with the bar underneath for adjusting your distance from the pedals and a recline lever on the side that can go as far forward as the steering wheel panel and far enough back that you can lay down in it. While you’re not going to be doing any driving in those positions, I think it’s very cool how well made it is and how much it looks and feels like a real car seat. We use this with the Logitech Driving Force G29 and G920 for PS4 and Xbox One respectively. The included screws fit the pedals and steering wheel perfectly, and the shifter stand is great for the optional Logitech shifter as well. I was worried at first glance during assembly that it would place the shifter too far for my son’s arms as this is the one thing that can’t be adjusted, but it worked out very well. If you adjust the seat so that you can reach the steering wheel comfortably, you will be able to reach the shifter as well. Overall, it is pricey but far superior to any other steering wheel stand we’ve ever tried. The ones without a built in seat will just never be as comfortable or as solid as this one. They always tip and shift, but this seat is made of steel and once adjusted, does NOT budge. Very solid and very high quality. Glad I picked this up for him! Any racing fan will go crazy for this. You won’t regret it!!

Extremely well built sim racing seat!!!

Amazing sim racing seat!!! Extremely well built and sturdy (see attached pictures).PARTS & ASSEMBLY: All parts came in a well-organized and packaged box with Styrofoam and bubble wrap. All tools (13 & 17 mm wrenches and two hex wrenches) to assemble are included in a nice zippered fabric bag, nuts and bolts come in individually labeled zip lock bags. Assembly manual is in full color and includes parts list and detailed instructions. Includes additional bolts and washers to attach your own wheel and pedals (I’m using the t300rs). Main chrome tube angles upward to provide support to the pedal plate, had NO issue with pedal plate flexing. Different sized knobs are used to secure lower main and upright tubes. Took me about 15 minutes to assemble the unit and another 15 minutes to adjust all tubes and zip tie (included) all the cables.USE: Have used seat for a week and it is very comfortable, especially on endurance races. Lower and upper side bolsters could be tighter (I’m 5’10” and 180 lbs), but I still feel secure in the seat. I like the fact you can adjust the recline of the seat from upright, GT racing, to reclined for F1 racing. Had very little flex in the upright wheel post and adjustment options in/out, up/down, tilt make getting the best/comfortable driving position easy. (Just added Thrustmaster HOTAS, had to get another shift mount, see photos).STORAGE: I remove the main tube (w/ pedal and wheel tube) from the seat base. I fold the seat flat then lean it upright against the wall in a closet. I then prop the pedal and wheel assembly next to it. Takes less than 5 minutes to put-away and assemble for next round of racing.Highly recommend this rig for its solid construction, care in packaging, quality material, finish, adjustment options, ability to recline and comfort.Hats off to OW for a stellar product!!!

Well engineered product!! Couldn’t be happier!

I never write reviews but this product compelled me to write one. It is rare that I am so pleased with a product. It was packed very well and has very clear instructions. The most impressive part is how there a about 6 zip lock bags of screws and washers that are clearly marked as to what they are used for. Every screw/bolt fit perfectly with no force needed to line everything up. Everything is high quality. They even give you 2 very high quality wrenches to put this together. Everything you need is included in the box.The unit itself is very well made and infinitely adjustable. I am a big guy at 6’3” and 235 lbs and there is room to spare. In fact it could fit someone much taller than myself. The chair is very comfortable and with the adjustability I could put everything in the perfect spot (wheel, pedals and shifter). I was a little worried the center bar would be in the me way but that was not the case at all. This unit is very sturdy, the wheel, pedals and shifter never move at all. The base is nice and wide so there is no rocking back and forth. The only thing I can think that would an improvement is if there was someway to mount a screen to it. The seat itself is more comfortable than the one in my real car!It just takes the twist of a knob to separate the chair from the steering pedestal and pedal assembly so I can break it down to store when I am done with it. I couldn’t be more pleased with this!!I am using this with a G920 wheel and pedals and a Thrustmaster TH8A shifter attached to my xbox 1 x and PS4 Pro. I use a DriveHub to link to both consoles.

    Just Buy It!

If you are on the fence, just pull the trigger. I can’t say enough good things about this chair. Everything is modular so everything can be adjusted. Setup was beyond easy! Every single screw and bolt comes in a clearly labeled and secure package. Not to mention all the tools you need to setup are included, including the hex keys, open ended wrenches, and even comes with a high quality carrying case for the tools. The quality of the parts are far greater than the price point indicates, I feel like i stole it sometimes. The slider for the chair is smooth and allows for even greater customization. I use this with a DD wheel and load cell pedals, it is solid as a rock, no flex in the pedals or the wheel stand. You also don’t need to over tighten the set screws, since there are multiple screws per adjustment. The center post can be a little difficult to get used to, but nothing that detracts from the experience. Overall, you can’t go wrong.

Outstanding company, wonderful product, solid – well built – fun!

I did a bit of research before buying this seat and a lot of reviewers were saying this one is great for the price. My entire setup is entry level, what I have is:Logitech G923 wheelLogitech G923 pedals w/ AXC truebrake modLogitech ShifterMeta Quest 2 w/ official link cableCustomer Service: 5/5I have had to contact customer service twice. I asked them about the Buttkicker mount over the phone, I didn’t catch the guy’s name but he was extremely helpful. I ended up ordering the mount based on what he explained to me.The other time I had to contact the company was the seat back had a small snag in it. I’m assuming this happened in shipping because the QA on everything else from these guys is excellent. The box wasn’t in perfect shape when it was dropped off, and was sitting on it’s side. It’s very possible the shippers caused this problem. I contacted the company and explained the issue, they shipped me a new seat back – no hassle at all. THIS COMPANY IS GREAT!Ergonomics: 4.5 / 5I am able to get the shifter, pedals and wheel to a position that feels nice for me. I am a little taller than 6ft and 260ish lb. The seat feels good, but could use more lower back support. I will be trying a pillow I have lying around the house before I order the pillow that goes w/ this seat. The bottom clamps on the Logitech wheel do impact my knees sometimes – which pulls my immersion out of the VR headset and back into the real world. This is fixed slightly by adjusting the way I move my legs. The real fix is I need to dig into the wheel and remove the clamps as a long term fix. This is not a major issue and the impact rarely happens now that I am used to how I need to sit. I drive a Miata IRL and I have better legroom in this rig than the Miata.Build Quality: 5/5The rig is well put together and once you tighten down all the adjustments it is extremely solid. The seat is nicely made, feels sturdy. The pedal plate is very solid – I have the AXC truebrake mod which requires more force than stock Logitech pedals. I get no plate flex at all, the Logitech pedal case flexes and groans more than the rig does.I am planning to get into VR flight sims next, this seat is what I will use. I will order the alternate pieces to convert this to flight sim. If I had the space I would just buy a second seat dedicated for a flight sim setup – the setup is that good!Love this company, very glad I gave them a chance – they have a customer forever!

    Great Product, Excellent Customer Service

I’ll start off with the positives. The chassis is solid and top quality. The customizability is great is you have a racing wheel, it’s shifter, a HOTAS, and maybe a bass shaker. The customer service is top notch, there’s actually back and forth texting between me and the sales rep – which is crazy. I gather its a new, small company. They sent out their ‘beta’ HOTAS parts to me FOR FREE. I thought it was going to arrive with the main product but it didn’t. When I told them I had made plans to have people over to enjoy it that weekend they overnighted the extra parts FOR FREE so it was able to arrive in time. Amazing, really. Now for the negatives, which is really being nitpicky. I wanted to be able to hot swap the racing wheel and HOTAS peripherals, and in order to do that I had to get additional cables to zip tie to each component/part. No fault of theirs considering the number of possible peripheral combinations and still acheive easy knock down. Just be prepared to do the same if you want to really make it a fast swap or setup/storage.It’s tought to get in and out of the seat with the steering wheel. You can easily loosen the steering wheel frame, but when I did that I accidently tensioned my shifter cable too much that was zip tied to the frame and unplugged it from the steering wheel (I have a Logitech G920). I then had to unbolt the steering wheel from its plate to plug the shifter back in – which was kind of a pain. The plate hides the steering wheel wires nicely, but I think I’d like an access hole more just in case that happened again. This was before I got the additional cables for the quick disassembly (which I think will fix that issue). But I know that an access hole will limit the plate’s compatibility, maybe have multiple plates depending on the steering wheel make/model?To make it easier to get in and out of the chair I first suggested and hinge/lock joint at the base of the steering wheel post. They said they have tried that and it compromises the structural integrity (which I agree). Then I suggested grab bars either on the horizontal tube or two on the vertical steering wheel post. They seemed to like that idea, so who knows if that will be on there on a future version.Lastly, the chair itself is too firm for my taste. And the shape of the back makes for poor back support. I plan on getting a lumbar support pillow. After a half hour my back was getting a little sore (although I admit I have a bad back). But hopefully the firmness of the chair will mean it will last longer, which considering this is not exactly a cheap product I appreciate the potential longevity.Anyways, the construction is great quality and I think it will last. It feels pretty well thought out and I like the versatility. With additional cables I don’t think it can get a whole lot better without spending a great deal more money and sacrificing mobility/conveinience. And if they keep up the same level of customer service I think this will continue to be a good product for its target consumer.

    Nice

Hubby loves, might add hes plus size and still fits well was a bit difficult to put together but its expected for a well put together item and it’s very sturdy it is low to the floor but with a riser it will be sufficient ,we will buy the additions to complete i will say if there was a hole drilled in the center bar you can feed the cords through an not worry about snagging a cord when you move the seat back an forth I have no ideal why this wasnt thought of the cords are held on with zip tie like material which concerns me about snagging or accidentally tripping the cord so I will drill out the center myself for lines
