    Powerful

Honestly I like everything about this laptop except for the keyboard. Not a pleasure to type on, my old MacBook Pro keyboard was so much nicer, and it didn’t accidentally trigger the trackpad so frequently.

Nicely built laptop with a couple issues…

Im coming from a Macbook and a Alienware X17 R2, my biggest gripe about this laptop is the keyboard, im not really pickup about keyboards but this Razer keyboard, you really have to hit the keys with a little force, its annoying if your a fast typer as it can slow you down, its slowed me down for sure. The machine is well built like a German sportscar that is for sure, the screen is nice and bright and so far im happy with it. It gets pretty hot even with light typing and web browsing, but that doesn’t bother me too much. The LED’s (backlit keys) are SUPER bright and look awesome. I hope i can get used to typing on this sucker, $4000 is ALOT of money to drop on a laptop with a so so keyboard… but well see, so far so good other than the keyboard.

    Razer laptop

Only thing I’m not happy with is they tricked me into thinking I was saving money for a Black Friday deal saying the 15” laptop was originally priced at 3000 and that it was 47 percent off…it is a great laptop though

    Immediate Screen Issues

This laptop is a 50/50 recommendation from anyone online. It’s also 50/50 you will get a bad build right out of the box. Unfortunately, I was one of the many to get a bad build. The screen started showing three full horizontal lines of dead pixels/screen tearing after about a week of moderate use. If you Google this issue it’s actually very common with these laptops. I absolutely did not want to deal with RMA’ing it and doing the full workaround. I also uninstalled and reinstalled drivers but that didn’t help. I expect brand new products that cost a pretty penny to have already gone through Q/A. Do yourself a favor and don’t take any chances when buying laptops. Buy another product from a company that actually makes computers and not just computer accessories.

    Great Computer so Far

Computer works well and is quiet compared to other gaming laptops I’ve owned. I’m not a huge fan of the keyboard, but other than that, it runs great.

    not the best

I don’t usually write reviews but have nothing but problems with this model since buying. When it works it’s fine but little things like randomly shutting off, not being able to take calls with the built in mic. It’s a nice laptop but i expected it to work better all around for $4k+

    Pretty amazing laptop

I bought this for competitive gaming while away from my desktop. It is a capable laptop and can be customized within the Razer Synapse app and Nvidia’s control panel to either run at full power +boost or at a more power efficient manner. I prefer full power +boost, but I always operate the laptop with the ac power adapter. If you are looking for a laptop to use while on battery power, this laptop makes no sense for you. This is a portable desktop.

If I knew the battery issue before….

If you are seeking a computer for work as well don’t expect this pc to have more than 3 hours of battery (web browsing). For gaming is cool, of course you have to leave the battery plugged all the time. But overall I would choose another one.

    Update

Update 2/4/2024: I solved my Bluetooth problems by removing Razer’s THX application. All is well still working great.Update 5/24/2023: It seems that Razer fixed the problems I was having with a Synapse update. Since then, this laptop has been great. Gaming is good with decent frames. The bad: I have issues with Bluetooth now and then, but I’m not sure if it’s my Beats Studios 3s or the laptop that’s the issue. A reboot will fix it if I really need them, so not too big.I bought this model on 10/12/2022. I have had nothing but problems. It randomly powers off even when plugged in, the Wi-Fi range is terrible. Since I am no longer able to return it, I am forced to use Razer’s support. I have had a ticket open for 9 days and still no RMA. Support only emails once per day. Also, I’ve just discovered when filing my complaint that they have an F rating with the BBB.

The MacBook Pro of PC Gaming Laptops

I just bought my 2nd one of this 3080 ti laptop. The first one we purchased 6 months ago for my wife, and has performed amazingly over that period. I previously had a 2019 model that I passed down to my teenage son who games constantly on it to this day with 4 years of amazing performance. I’ve owned MSI, ASUS. Dell/Alienware, and this is by far the highest quality of the bunch equaling the MacBooks I’ve owned for work in design, heat performance and build quality.Pros:-Very high quality aluminum case. This is not your run of the mill plastic gaming laptop. Wouldn’t look out of place in a conference room, almost looks like a black MacBook Pro with zero logos/lettering other than the Razer trademark.-Even playing fairly demanding games, the fans barely come on, and when they do, they are far quieter than my MSI.-Screen is phenomenal for seeing dark areas and great colors/viewing angles.-3080 ti graphics with 16gb of on board video ram, +32gb of ram future proof this machine significantly. The laptop this machine replaced had a first gen 8gb 3080 and this card destroys it.-Wi-Fi seems to be extremely fast, much faster than the laptop I replaced it with.Cons:-Screen is gorgeous, with great viewing angles, dark contrast, and amazing colors, but could have slightly better overall brightness. Almost reminds me of a OLED TV.-Price, but you’re paying for a premium product and one that I’ve found after 4+ years of owning Razer laptops, is well worth it.31 people found this helpful

    Amazing design and powerful machine

Got this on sales so it cheaper than expected. Suit all of my needs. Sleek design and pack a punch with the performance. Bad battery life as expected from a gaming laptop tho.

    Great but with a catch!

First of all. I personally loved the laptop. It was sleek and a really well built machine. Very powerful very small. You won’t find a more attractive machine in the windows laptop gaming space at 15 inches and with such a slim profile. I only had it for about 2 weeks or so prior to returning. I use my laptop for VM deployments and gaming hybrid. The major reason for my return was the GPU wattage rating that was much smaller then it’s larger counter part Blade 17 165w.The blade 15 handles games superbly well, but compared to the 17 blade in most games, the 17 provides 10-15% more gaming performance. This is what made me switch over. If you are primarily going to game and don’t plan on moving the laptop around, go with the blade 17 as it’s the best in this price bracket. If you are always on the move, go with the 15.Now I don’t find the 17 inch to be very burdensome in terms of size and it is also the sleekest and thinnest in the scope of 17 inch laptops. If the 15 matched the performance of the 17, in terms of looks, it would be the racer blade 15 all day. The differences were enough for me to switch to the 17. The extra costs are for the benefits of gaming was ok with my budget.

Great for gaming on the go

I did a lot of research. I love this computer and games perfectly. If I had to give it one downfall, it does get a little hot one under heavy loads, so maybe invest in a laptop fan with it.

    Great laptop. Poor build quality

The screen backlight on the first one died in two weeks, so I had to replace it. The second one worked ok, but the battery swelled in less than two years and needs replacement. Back cover hinges are made of plastic, one broke without any reason, needs replacement. Not what you would expect from a $4K laptop
