Got Cheaper after purchase
The product is awesome for competitive gaming, it works great, has a not too bad picture quality. It doesn’t look as great as VA panel but for this price its perfect for a 240hz 1ms.The buttons on the bottom is easy to press, has a great texture, and has multiple display ports.Only thing that disappointed me was the monitor’s pixels does not look good. It looks blurry sometimes when you are looking at texts, honestly not good for long term production use, only great for gaming.Other thing was this monitor’s back cover is hard to fit/impossible to fit on because its curves. No one will realize this detail but it does sometimes matter if u have ocd.Great product, but prices seems to be dropping after my purchase.Best budget gaming monitor??

This thing is a must buy
I bought this for my computer for FPS games. I run a ryzen 7 2700x and a 1070ti amp extreme gpu. This thing has absolutely done everything I’ve needed it to. It runs 240hz and honestly the colors are fantastic for a TN. I had an IPS previous to this monitor and it looked arguably similar. Bought it used and it had literally no problems. Bought a DisplayPort 1.4 cable as well as I wasn’t sure if the hdmi could support the 240hz. And also, don’t forget to go to your display adapter settings to change it to 240hz because it won’t do it for you. Literally no complaints and for less than my prior ips costed. And here is an honorable mention, it has great mobility. It can move in multiple angles and heights which is awesome.

I bought this monitor in 2017, it is STILL my main monitor to this day. Never an issue and survived two moves. Very durable. Looks beautiful and runs quick

Game Changer.
If you use anything lower than a 144hz, you will be mind blow with how crazy smooth this thing is. I was a little worried about the size when I first saw it, but I am so glad I put that aside, because honestly, I like the smaller screen, way easier to focus on what is going on. I use this as my main monitor for gaming and then have a bigger secondary for media. I would recommend this thing over and over. I have owned this now for a little over 4 months now, with close to daily use. NO ISSUES at all.*UPDATE 10/14/19*Still running flawless. No issues. I also didn’t mention how sturdy the frame work of this monitor is. It is super high quality. There is a reason, this is what it used in pro gaming.

Bought 3 of these to upgrade my battlestation and couldn’t be more pleased. It is like that time you went from a mechanical harddrive to a solid state harddrive and your world changed. Good future proof monitor for when cards could actually hit these kind of FPS so I expect these to last for a good 4 years. I guess you could go buy a 120hz monitor but, 240hz is gonna be better no matter how you think about it and these monitors have some of the slimmest bezels. Side by side its about an inch. Eyefinity works great with this setup as does games that support spreading across 3 monitors like PoE or WoW. These monitors also auto adjust to what you are doing such as watching a movie, gaming, browsing etc so they pretty much hit everything I wanted in a monitor. See the picture and welcome to my new world I live in =)

And although it has great tilt, swivel
Although I didn’t get to test this monitor, I did return it because of the misleading and/or inaccurate product description. The depth dimension is described as being 10.57″. But the actual foot print / depth of this monitor is a full 12.25.” The stand is rather large and is out about 2″ or so from the face of the panel. And although it has great tilt, swivel, height capabilities, the design of support shaft is deeper/larger than most monitors.I couldn’t fit this monitor into the space I had intended for it, given that large of a foot print. This should not be a concern for buyers whose desktop or space can accommodate that footprint. Hence, minus one star for manufacturer’s inaccurate description which did materially affect my purchase.

Good but Ghosting Problems
Pretty good monitor for gaming, this monitor is wicked fast at refresh rates and is one of the best for competiteve gaming. Backlight bleed wasn’t a problem either, however, I’ve been experiencing a lot of ghosting. It’s more noticeable on games like Rdr2. It’s nothing major but I would give it 5 stars if the ghosting wasn’t there. Or it could be the games issue but I haven’t found a solution. Also the screen itself is not that great. The resolution is really pixely compared to my old surface pro 3. I don’t know if it’s an issue I can fix or the montior itself. So if you want a crisp image I suggest not buying this.

Amazing!
The quality of the shipping box by Alienware was impressive, to say the least. Also, the monitor came in perfect condition regarding dead pixels; there were no dead pixels, thankfully! It achieved 240hz through a display port 1.4. I’m sure there are other cables you can use, as well. The build quality of the monitor is very sturdy, and the colors good out of the box. Keep in mind that the stand is fairly wide and can take up a lot of space on your desk. I am glad I went this route for a 240hz monitor, instead of going with the cheaper Acer monitor. This was my first Alienware product, but I can see myself buying others if they are going to be this good!

JUST WOW
I am a hardcore gamer, but i currently play on Xbox One X, so i know my picture quality is a little locked. This is a $500 monitor for around $339, and let me tell you it is worth every cent. Very sturdy base, easy to put together, and great quality. Some people complained about dead pixels, but i think its just luck of the draw with monitors especially when being shipped. Mine was perfect, these things are easy to return, albeit heavy. The picture was crystal clear and now the only lag i really notice is my 30 ping, no more input lag. Im doing piece by piece for a gaming PC and this was my last item before the real investment. Highly recommend

SEXY
USE THE HDMI CABLE IT COMES WITH. I used my regular one and it only allowed 75 Hz max for some reason. I tried out the cord provided and it got the full 240 Hz. Definitely recommend to anyone trying to get a leg up in your gaming experience. Never bought a product before that as soon as you start it up you can feel a huge difference. My aim is improving by the minute. I would pay much more for this monitor. If your gonna buy this monitor just know the cheaper one without NVIDIA g sync does NOT have LED lights on the back. But personally that doesn’t matter to me. High build quality, nice cable management slots, sexy colors, AMAZING refresh rate. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

Amazing panel, but intrusive stand
This was a much more noticeable upgrade from my 144hz monitor than I was expecting. Not only is it faster, but it also has better colors and much less of a “washed out” effect at high refresh rates. It has measurably improved my hitscan accuracy in high speed FPS games such as Quake titles. That being said, I do have one significant gripe. The stand is far more intrusive than any other monitor I’ve ever had, and I’ve had at least a dozen over the years. My mousepad (qck heavy) has to hang off my desk for my monitor to be where I want it. It’s not a lack of desk space, either. If you want your keyboard and mousepad where you’re used to them being, then the monitor is going to be quite a few inches further back than you’re used to, if you’re a competitive gamer. Mind you, it’s a nice enough panel to warrant a proper desk mount, but Quakecon LAN is coming up, and I’m going to have to find some stand to put on it for that, but it’d be miserable if I have to use the stand it came with. I mean, it’s cool looking, but I’m 100% function over fashion, so I hate it. I recommend the monitor for it’s price/performance. If you don’t ever intend to LAN with it, then just get a proper mount arm to put it on and you’re fine. If you require any kind of mobility, however, I would say maybe check out the 240hz monitors with a smaller footprint area.

Wow – this monitor is awesome
I play a lot of apex legends and this monitor is a huge upgrade from the previous Acer 120 Hz that I was using. You’ll see more of an improvement going from 60 hz to 144 hz. I didn’t notice as much of a jump going up to 240 hz, but the picture quality on this monitor is amazing. It looks better than my LG monitor that I spent much more money on.I didn’t do any fancy calibration with this monitor, I set it to the “Game 1” preset and it’s beautiful. I’m sure you could do additional calibration if you really want to, but it’s perfect for me. One more note, there’s a setting called response rate. Leave this set to “normal”. It sounds like you’d want to bump that up to “super fast” but it’s a misleading setting. It deals with how quickly the pixels on the monitor change color. I found that going beyond “normal” created significant ghosting in apex legends, and it wasn’t necessary. Normal response time is where you want it.Quality-wise there is no edge bleed like I’ve seen with my previous older Acer monitor. The stand is really cool. The matte screen is great. I really like how they designed this monitor and am glad I bought it.See you in the arena!

I forgot it’s a TN
I am a content creator who edits videos and loves playing games. I have a Dell Ultrasharp 4K IPS 27” panel, which has served me well especially for Photoshop. But I needed something for gaming, with silky smooth refresh rates, and decent color accuracy. This display is also from Dell, except under their Alienware brand. In order to drive the display at 1080p 240Hz, you need to connect to a graphics card through DisplayPort 1.2 or higher. I use a GTX 1070 Ti, so playing games like Overwatch and CS:GO is excellent. The display has better viewing angles than any TN panel I’ve seen, and the brightness goes up to a sustained 400 nits (450 sometimes). I’ve calibrated the display and achieved 99% sRGB, and 82% Adobe RGB, and a Delta E of around 2. Colors pop on this TN, and that’s an accomplishment. The stand is built like a tank, I bang on my table after dying so much in Overwatch and it doesn’t budge. It includes an HDMI, not a DisplayPort, so I had to buy my own, but that’s okay they’re like <$10 US. The USB hub is very convenient. And the bezels are very thin, like my Dell Ultrasharp. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dell used the same Infinity Edge tech as their other flagship displays. 5 people found this helpful

Good IPS gaming/workstation display
Have not gone over 60hz until This monitor. Definitely can see the difference between 60-240hz with movement of mouse and scrolling through websites and programs. Colors look great; however its not perfect with dark scenes, especially when watching live action. There is a pixelation on shadows or dark areas sometimes. Saw this happen alot with Marvel’s Runaways. “The Boys,” dark scenes look better so take it as you will. I say it could be the monitor since a tv of mine does dark scenes better for Marvel’s Runaways. GAMING!!!Definitely great for gaming , but would say overkill with 240hz. Only a handful of games on curtains Graphics cards and setting can reach smooth 240 frames. If the high framerate is what you want then you will enjoy this monitors performance.Get this at a price you are willing to pay for and you will be happy with the Colors and high refresh rate of this monitor.

Great Monitor!
This is a monitor is great, I had a little issue when I connect the monitor to my computer with a hdmi cable and when I installed the drivers, it couldn’t recognize the monitor. But when I switched the hdmi cabble to a display port cable that I also purchased, it recognized it when I installed the driver again. The monitor does have 240hz like Alienware promised, by default, it is set at 60hz and when I switched to 240hz, the difference is huge and you can tell if you move your cursor really fast and you can see how smooth 240hz is. When I turned it on it was a bit too bright so I had too turned it down a bit. The amd free-sync is a really good feature to have in this monitor because I used to have a hp monitor and it screen tears badly and that’s when I decided to get this monitor. The base is really well made and I noticed that it was made out of steel which makes it more durable and this monitor can be adjusted in height or swiveled back and forward which is really nice. I definitely recommend this monitor.

To return and get the “H” version or similar ASUS gsync monitor instead
Recently got one of these bad boys and the first thing I noticed was how I had messed up while researching due to being the AMD FreeSync compatibile version. I think at the time I based my decision off of the mixed reviews that said it will work with gsync with the right drivers. None the less, the picture quality is top notch and overall was very easy to setup, the reason for the 4/5 stars is because the stand is very awkward and imo unnecessary (looks at the expense of functionality. What I mean specifically is the stand is Y shaped from the center outwards and the legs are long which forces a fairly large surface area beneath. I am currently on the fence about returning and getting the H version which is the Gsync(NVIDIA) version which is more expensive or getting the ASUS strix with eye care. Would appreciate it if someone can explain whether or not it’s worth it or if the “screen tearing” is really even an issueI ran the display tearing test on YouTube and couldn’t notice any and in game(fortnite) at 240FPS I haven’t noticed any.

All in all great product with small issue
Ok. So the monitor is good looking on the outside that fit for gaming experience with RGB light on the back in which I can customize. The quality of the picture is much better than I expected for the TN panel, it is not great for movie viewing such as in dark sense, but it work perfect with gaming at 240hz with sygn. It is very smooth while playing game life Fortnite or Global Counter Strike. My computer can handle it at around 200hz while streaming at the same time with second monitor. The color look better than my 27 Dell 1440p sygn monitor. This monitor has around 120% sRGB coverage. First Person Shooting game is really great for the monitor. Plus, this monitor is very bright and good saturated color for gaming. However, there is a little down side to the monitor, the quality control is not very good. I got a little scratch on the monitor, but very hard to see unless I try to find it. Plus, it getting snuggles dirty things on very easily. In addition, it is a little pxialated compared to higher resolution monitor out there. All in all, a good product.

Fast, Sleek & Crystal Clear
1. Opening Box: Remove the white (4 total) plastic tabs from both sides of the box to lift the box from the monitor.2. Packaging: Heavy foam supported the monitor within the box very well. A single cardboard box will be inside containing your cords and warranty information.3. Includes: Power cord (100 – 240 VAC, 50/60Hz), HDMI 2.0 cable (x1) and USB 3.0 cable (x1). Display port cord will need to be purchased separately if you need to connect that way. Speakers are not built in so purchase those as well if needed.4. Connectors: DisplayPort 1.2 (x1), HDMI 2.0 ports (X2), USB 3.0 ports (X4 – one with the quick charging capacity), headphone jack and audio out jack. The USB 3.0 cable must be plugged into the back of the monitor and into your computer to power the additional USB ports on the monitor. Monitor has HDMI 2.0 port (x2), Display Port 1.2 (x1), USB 3.0 port (x4)5. Base: Quick and easy setup with no tools required. Base snaps easily into the back of the monitor. Cords can be ran through the base for clean cord management.6. Enable 240hz: (Windows Users) Right click your desktop >display settings>advanced display settings>display adapter properties for display>monitor (tab)>screen refresh rate (drop down box)>240hz. You will not receive 240hz if your computers graphic card does not support it. Always research your graphic card specs first prior to purchasing to make sure you get the most out of your money and product.7. Graphics Card: If you have an AMD FreeSync graphics card, you can synchronize the refresh rate of the Alienware AW2518HF to your GPU. This allows for a dynamic refresh rate which will eliminate screen tearing and stuttering without significantly increasing the input lag. For NVIDIA card users, the Dell AW2518HF is also available with G-SYNC instead of the FreeSync technology. FreeSync also works without any issues when using a compatible NVIDIA G-SYNC graphics card. FreeSync range is 48-240Hz.8. On-Screen Display: The OSD (On-Screen Display) offers a plethora of gaming features including the pre-calibrated picture presets (FPS, RTS, RPG) and three customizable gaming profiles. The OSD menu is easily navigated via the six OSD buttons placed on the bottom of the screen. While the menu is not open, four of these buttons can be used as hotkeys for certain functions. You can assign them to any shortcut under the ‘Personalize’ section. Other useful features include Dark Stabilizer and Game Enhance Mode – three functions: an on-screen timer, an FPS counter, and Display Alignment for multitasking.9. Ergonomic Functionalities: 130mm height adjustment, 90-degree pivot, 20-degree swivel to the left and right, -5, 25-degree tilt, and 100 x 100 VESA mount compatibility. The screen is covered with an anti-glare matte (3H) screen coating. Ultra-thin screen bezel and a steady metal tripod stand under which you can conceal the cables. The viewing angles amount to 170° vertically and 160° horizontally meaning that the colors will shift in tone when the screen is viewed from certain angles i.e. too far from the side or above/below.10. RGB LED: The AlienFX RGB LEDs are placed at the back of the monitor which allows for the lighting to reflect off the wall and create atmospheric lighting.Definitely will recommend – great product with sleek look and awesome performance. The brightness performance is perfect as it peaks a bit over 400nits with consistent and uniform luminance. The colors are also great for a *TN panel. *Twisted nematic. This is a type of LCD (a form of LED) panel display technology panel.

Amazing monitor
I purchased this monitor towards the end of February for $279, an absolute steal! I’m very impressed with the design and image quality, couldn’t be happier. I’ve never actually had a gaming monitor so this is the first time for me getting to experience a high refresh rate. As soon as you switch the settings from the default connection via HDMI @ 60Hz to 240Hz, there is a noticeable difference in the way the cursor moves across the screen and the colors seemed to pop more as soon as I switched to 240Hz. It’s very smooth and makes for a great experience.I ran into an issue using the DisplayPort initially. One HUGE con worth mentioning is that the I/O port on the back is almost useless because there is a raised piece of plastic just underneath the ports and it makes it ALMOST impossible to insert the DisplayPort cable, it actually feels like it’s not going in correctly/at an angle because you’re unable to get it flush and flat enough to plug it in. Horrible design flaw, honestly don’t know why that little piece is there. I’m not sure if that was why I couldn’t get the display working with DP or what, but I couldn’t get it working with DisplayPort (it could have been a defective cable, too).I had to use the included HDMI cable and by default it runs the monitor at 60Hz. You have to go into display settings and set the refresh rate to 240Hz. Boom, done. Although, Windows is showing it actually running at 239Hz. I heard that HDMI wouldn’t be able to run 240Hz, but it is and setting the refresh rate in Overwatch it’s also running at 240Hz.

Couldn’t Be Happier! (PS4 Gamer and Work From Home Use)
I researched monitors for months. I own my own business and wanted a new second monitor for my office to pair with my MacBook Pro that I could also use for gaming with a PS4. Needless to say, after looking at countless monitors, reading reviews, and debating with myself for months, I settled on purchasing the AW2518Hf. I legit couldn’t be happier.Let me tell you, first off, if you’re using it as a second monitor, it works great. Picture bright, clear, full HD, it’s amazing. If you’ll use it as a dual-purpose monitor, this is the one. You’ll find that other gaming monitors tend to look bad for normal computing or program-related work. Not this one. Plenty big enough for any work task. Now, if you’re a gamer, listen up. You want to buy something that is a little bit time-proof. The next generation of consoles are coming out and you want to be able to take advantage of higher FPS capabilities. I know that our current PS4 only outputs 60 FPS. That’s totally fine! This monitor’s response time makes it feel much faster. Also, compared to playing on my HD 60″ TV, my KD in COD Blackout, Fortnite, and Destiny 2 have literally gone up 2.0 more or higher since switching. I’m not joking. I can finally see that split second faster than I ever could on my TV. It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done for gaming.Don’t hesitate. Buy this monitor. It’s a game-changer. Literally.

The Best Gaming Monitor I’ve Had
I’ve had this monitor for almost 2 years now and can confidently say that it is by far the best gaming monitor I’ve seen. The first thing that I thought I might have an issue with was the monitor stand itself. The feet or legs of it were weird to me at the time and I wanted a new monitor stand. After finally getting two different monitor stands, I went back to the original one. I didn’t like the original one at first by how far spread out it was and how much supposed space it took. But after trying the other two, they actually took more space than the one provided.Pictures also look a lot better than my other monitors that I don’t want to name. The colors seem more true without an artificial brightness effect to it. But I don’t really focus on that because quality doesn’t matter to me as much as performance.240Hz is a lot better than 144Hz and 60Hz isn’t even in the picture at that point. Playing on 240Hz for a couple months is a total gamechanger. I went to my friend’s house and saw him play on his 144Hz monitor for a little bit. I could tell the difference – it was choppy to me. Then just playing at 60Hz, it gave me a headache and eyesores. After going 240Hz, it’s nearly impossible to go back to anything else. The HDMI cable included can go to 240Hz if you’re wondering, so no need to buy a new cable. The backplate to hide the cables is a little finicky and I eventually gave up on ever trying to put it on, especially since no one is going to see it. For gaming, I absolutely love the size of this monitor. Some VESA mounts will be more difficult to install because of the shape on the back of the monitor. There are better monitors for picture-viewing, such as a 27″ 240Hz 2k monitor, but that seems unreasonable for gaming purposes.

Great Bang for your Buck !
You can really see the quality of this monitor right out of the box. While putting the stand together; you can really tell that this was manufactured with performance in mind. That being said, assembling the stand was 2 simple steps and then I was ready to test it out. Stand is extremely durable and allows an infinite combination of tilting and swiveling with height adjustment as well. Took me a minute to figure out how to find my settings to allow 240 hz mode, but once I did…. I mean WOW. This monitor exceeded my expectations with the frame rate speeds I was able to hit. And honestly the picture quality is very good. With performance this high, I often forget im not playing in 4k. Overall, this is an AWESOME monitor for the price; especially if you are like me and looking for High Frame Rates and are willing to make a small sacrifice with 1920 × 1080 p instead of 4k or even 2k . Highly recommended

Crispy Picture and Smooth Gameplay! Works great on console too! Especially with the XB1 X that supports FreeSync 2!
I purchased a few monitors for my Xbox One X before landing here on the Alienware 25″ monitor. Besides upgrading my old XB1 to the newest gen this has been the best purchase I ever made. The gameplay is much smoother than my Samsung 24″ IPS panel and more vibrant and clearer than any other TN gaming panel I purchased, including Asus’s.Even though I’m limited to using this monitor at 60Hz on my console, I can utilize 120Hz on my MacBook Pro with great colors and crisp text. Offering 240Hz is just icing on the cake and will keep this monitor more future proof. Now that XB1 X supports adaptive FreeSync 2, it’s even more reason to use this high end monitor for your XB1 X. I can’t say that for PS4 Pro. I can tell you that FreeSync with XB1 X 04/18 update, the smoothness during fast transitions has noticeably improved.PROS:Ultra-fast refresh rateExcellent colors and clarity for a TN panelBeautiful Modern DesignFREESYNC support over both DP & HDMI (perfect for consoles)Excellent User InterfaceAmerican designed product from a reputable American company (Dell)Many ports and connectivity optionsCONS:> Stand takes up quite a bit of depth on your desk and may keep you closer than you want to your monitor. If you have a deep desk or intend on using your own stand than this won’t be a problem.> 1080P is not particularly future proof as even the XB1 X is now capable of 1440P resolution. If you have $300 to spend and want a monitor with a high refresh rate, attractive design, solid build and FreeSync support, this is a no brainer. Just know your limitations with higher resolutions than 1080p.Good gaming…

Nice & tall, super crisp, very bright
I upgraded my gaming rig and was still running my 10-year-old monitor, which worked great. When the daughter expressed an interest in taking over my old rig, I needed another monitor, so I figured it was time to upgrade. I had a new nVidia GTX2060 card so I wanted to find something that supported the extra nVidia sync stuff, and came across this monitor. I’ve had trouble with Alienware in the past, but that was back before Dell bought them. And even then, their performance was top-notch (just their reliability was a bit iffy). With Dell hardware backing them, I figured this was probably going to be worth it.It was. Super bright, plenty of connectors inside, the control buttons on the bottom right are subtly lit and findable-by-touch (still have to remember what each one does, but they work great and it’s fairly logical how to navigate with them once you get into the menu). The stand is nice an minimal — it’s a triangular stand (which, unfortunately, means you have to be careful about “pushing it back”, lest it go over the edge of your desk and destabilize), but it’s nice and heavy, tall for a fixed-height monitor (good for me, I’m a tall guy and I often use the desk standing anyway).Details are crisp and pixels are smoothly blended. Even though this is NOT a 4k monitor, I could easily see the improvement over my decade-old workhorse. There’s a non-glare, non-reflective surface which I found really helps with eyestrain (something I didn’t realize was actually a problem on my old monitor, until I compared it). It’s only been a few months now, with the monitor on almost 24-7 (I leave my rig on, Windows doesn’t always seem to know when to blank the screen, not entirely sure why), and no problems, no dead pixels. Fingers crossed, it stays that way for a good long time.

No support for the warty
Hello, I have purchased a Monitor which is AW2518HF that i have been very impressed by the quality that was presented and the only reason that i haven’t bought another monitor at the same price range with 4K resolution was that this monitor is from “DEll”. When i heard that this monitor was from Dell i knew that they will put either the best on the table or they won’t put anything on the table which goes to show that Dell won’t release a product unless its perfect and breaks necks! I have dealt with dell for years from purchasing PCs to Monitors to accessories but i have never been so disappointed as i am today and i hope that this never happens to any of the later products I’m planing to purchase from dell. The reason I’m contacting the support i have been facing some difficulties. My alienware (gaming)monitor has been barely used since I have other dell monitors that I use as a creator/designer. I have to tell you guys that i have been amazingly impressed by your UP2718Q! I have received this monitor 14th of July and have been gaming on it here and there until August 24th were i have found it a little weird where i got some strange lines all over my screen which bothered me so i thought it must be my HDMI cable so i turned OFF the monitor and after turning it ON it was totally fine until 10 minutes later the same strange lines came back. I hade to just switch to another monitor to game until i got a new HDMI cable but i still have the same issue. I have tried everything in my power to find whats the matter as a customer but I couldn’t so thats why I would like to be supportive but I can’t its only been around a month or so and I’m already having difficulties with my Alienware Monitor.

This is insane
Gaming. For people looking for a high quality 240Hz monitor that offers 1920×1080 res, 1 ms response time, and most importantly a FAIR PRICE, I 100% recommend this gaming monitor. If you’ve been someone like me who’s CONSISTENTLY played with 144hz or lower monitors, you WILL notice a subtle change that makes the BIGGEST difference. You will notice that gameplay is SO MUCH SMOOTHER and more efficient. I swear I’m not trying to get u to buy this $350 monitor, I’m just telling u when I set it up and played Battlefield 4, an FPS game, it was SOOOOO COMFORTABLE. I am in love with this 25 in monitor, and I recommend this to anyone looking for a lowkey, tight, clean, compact setup 100%.

Best Gaming Moniter. Don’t let resolution (1080p) fool you, speed is what really matters (240hz).
This is the best moniter, seriously. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, play at 240hz without a problem (you have to enable in the display settings/ and have a display port cable). I assure you this moniter will make you better at games, it literally feels like you can see everything way faster than normal 60hz/120hz/144hz moniters. (People say theres no difference but you notice while playing there most definitely is.) Also, It is the perfect size to be able for your eyes to capture everything in game unlike a big tv, and has a wire concealer hole in the stand. All In all, you get what you pay for, and this so far has been worth every penny for me…

Best 1080p display.
The clarity and color are perfect. I got the AMD Freesync version. The picture, smoothness, and design are so great that it’s the best part of my set up. The stand is what makes up all the weight of the whole thing. The monitor it’s was surprisingly light weight. Went from a 27″ monitor to this 25 inch and it is better for gaming. Everything in view of your sight makes an FPS game better as you’re more well aware of your surroundings. I switched the framerate down to 144hz as i only have a RX 580 and can’t push those frames up to 240hz but it’s nice to know i can always upgrade the graphics card and not be bottlenecked in Hertz in the future.

SHARPNESS & PICTURE QUALITY.
This monitor is the best monitor I have ever had besides my old AOC monitor, I was looking for a good monitor 1080p monitor with 240hz but mostly that it had the Sharpness setting on so I can put it to 100% sharpness this how you get a crisp better quality HD video than other people that record in 4K or 1440p and this monitor had it. It’s amazing the quality of this monitor and how it’s display such a amazing quality of video 4K with sharpness all the way 100% this is a most buy monitor. I love it I’ll give it a 6 star it had it.

Great product for the price.
Got this monitor because I wanted to crank 90s on 240 HZ. It came with 0 dead pixels, looks badass asf and set up in a few minutes. The little plastic piece by the DP is stupid as hell. Almost thought I wasnt going to get my cord in, but after a few tries it went right in. Very happy with how this product performs for only $330. Ive already recommended it to a few people. If you are on the fence about buying this, just do it. I pondered it for a long time and finally bit the bullet since we are going to be in quarantine for God knows how long.

Best monitor for Smash Bros. Ultimate
I love this monitor, but sometimes the picture doesn’t show right. It’s hard to explain, I don’t have a picture to show what happens, but it happens frequently for me to notice it, and it bugs me. Basically, when I play in my gaming system, the picture would mess up and not sure right, but a simple turning off and on of the monitor fixes the issue. However, lately it’s been doing that in-game, but again, a simple off and on will fix the issue. I just don’t know why it does that. But in any case, it’s the best monitor for Smash Bros. Ultimate.

I bought this monitor used. It has a single dead pixel on the monitor but it’s all good. It performs just as described.

240Hz monitor is unbelievably better than 60Hz.
I’ve had this for a couple months. I just want to say, I wish I had bought it earlier. The difference between 60Hz and 240Hz shocked me at first. When I was moving my mouse across the screen the difference in refresh rate was immediately noticeable.People always say “your eyes can only see up to 60fps anyway” and they might be right. Even if I can’t explain the science behind why this monitor is better, the 240fps is still visible. “Afterimage” I think is the word that makes it work. Either way, just buy it! Especially if it’s still on sale. If you’re trying to choose between 240Hz and anything less, choose this one. You won’t regret it.

Bad stand and back-side deaign
I’ve only had this monitor for about a week, but so far it is doing great. The major problem I had was with the monitor stand and the backside of the monitor, as others have pointed out.The backside of the monitor is slanted below the plugins and it makes it difficult, if bot impossible for some cords, to insert into the 2nd HDMI port and other plugins.Ontop of that, I personally had an issue with how huge the monitor stand was. The stand-legs are huge and stick out massively. It bothered me and my desk space.I ended up attaching the monitor itself to another stand, which was difficult also. It works well now, and the actual monitor runs great. 244 hz is a major improvement from my previous benq 75hz. It is noticable. Finally, the brightness on the monitor may be a little high. I don’t want to say the colors look washed out, but it’s definitely different and may need tweaking. If you have plenty of desk space, the stand will work perfectly for you and it’s worth the price.

High Quality Monitor
This monitor best-looking high refresh rate monitors that I’ve gotten my hands on thus far. Paired with a higher-end card such as the GTX 1070, the Alienware 25 is an excellent choice for those with a moderate budget. The Good:- Build quality: Very sleek bezels add significant flare to my setup, and even looks good from the back!- Has a great color calibration out-of-the-box, especially for a 240hz monitor.- Has one of the best looking on-screen configuration menus I have seen.- Excellent viewing angles for a TN panel.- Has a surprisingly capable USB hub.The Bad:- The adhesive at the bottom of the monitor became visible in less than a week, making it look like there is a build-up of dust underneath the Alienware logo.- Ghosting occurs when running at 240hz with a 1ms “Super Fast” response time. To avoid this, I am required to run the monitor at either “Super Fast” at 200hz or “Fast” at 240hz.Notes:- The monitor is relatively heavy. Free-standing VESA mounts may not be able to support it.- The VESA mount is slightly recessed into the back of the monitor, making it difficult to attach to some mounts without damaging the monitor.

Pretty nice
This works alright for gaming. Lately though I’ve been starting up the pc and monitor, looks great but then the screen will freeze and then go completely black and come back on to a different resolution. I’m not really sure what’s happening exactly as I have everything plugged in correctly. Display port on monitor to graphic display port on PC. Seems to wanna default to a lower FPS rate. Might be failing I’m not entirely sure. But it works pretty good. I feel I may need to replace the cables again.

Great Deal, amazing feeling!
Package came super early this morning to my surprise but day 1, this monitor is amazing. Super easy to put together and amazing to look at in general. So the HDMI cable that came with it was connected to hdmi 2 input. Immediately I open the control panel and create a custom resolution for 240hz, honestly I was expecting a much more difficult process but immediately it offered the advertised hz.I bought this for purely gaming reasons and let me tell you the difference between 240 and 144hz is paper thin but it feels amazing. Everything’s so smooth and responsive , I went a while with a 60hz after my 144 broke so that jump to 240 is so worth it if your computer can handle it.That being said I’ll update this review here and there because this monitor is a great deal and if your debating buying it. Buy it right now, you won’t regret it!

If u get a bad one freak it! Send it back get a replacement it will be worth your time and penny!
Got my package Today! Monitor was described as display having minor damage. Let me say this thing is immaculate! A few scratches on the steak back but who GAF when this thing is a 240hz used but never abused monster waiting to take hold of the power you graphics card has to offer. 270 after tax for a used model and freesync, and keep in mind I have a Nvidia 1070ti in a Mac pro 2009 dual booting window and Mac is. Suck on it Acer. All I’m missing is the Dude u got a Dell Guy. Apex legends. beautiful at 240 hz rocket league looks like a new game or like I’m viewing it at a competition or something all I can say is it’s like having intercourse without a Jimmy for the first time if you’ve never seen anything over 60hz the best buy of my 2019 so far hands down and on a controller fam!

works with G-Sync
I bought this because after much research, it’s pretty much the best bang for the buck. I have a ASUS Strix GTX 1070 and although this monitor has not (yet) landed on Nvidia’s officially certified compatible with g-sync list yet, I can say with confidence that this monitor does indeed work with G-Sync very well. The only game I’ve heard anyone mentioning as having issues with g-sync on this monitor is Elder Scrolls Online (which I do not play). Great picture quality, good brightness and silk smooth gameplay and works with G-Sync while costing roughly $120 to $150 less than the official g-sync version of this same monitor.I’ve only had this monitor for 3 days now but I can say that it has worked flawlessly with these ganes:Destiny 2Borderlands 2Star Wars Battlefront 2Left 4 Dead 2Warhammer – Vermintide 2(damn, that’s a lot of “2”s, lol)Anywho, a great monitor!

Top quality product towards the new standard that is 240hz.
I have had this monitor for 2 months now and I am amazed at how good it is, Alienware has delivered on quality for the money you are paying.Colors are crisp and feel good, not too bright not too dark, well balanced. Can be further changed with the monitor settings.Size is perfect for a competitive monitor, 22 inches feels small and 28 inches feel too big so 24.5 is the sweet pot in my opinion. The change from 144hz to 240hz is noticeable, it isnt the majesty of going from 60hz to 144hz but it is quiet an improvement worth the money if you are looking for that competitive edge. If you are a competitive gamer, dont hesitate, 240hz will become the new standard and this product is a pioneer on that regard.

I don’t think you can get a better gaming monitor for the price
Pro: I don’t think you can get a better gaming monitor for the price. Set for max resolution and Freesync activated, this does everything I could possibly want. Paired with a Sapphire NITRO 580 and an Intel 8600 … it screams. Very, very easy set-up too.Con: The USB jacks, HDMI and DP jacks are on the back and in a recess that is accessed vertically. Its very awkward to access and put the jacks in. Not a big deal, just a little hard to see and access. Once they’re in of course, you probably won’t have to access it again.Highly recommend this monitor to any gamer on a moderate budget.

Great for gaming and only gaming. Poor color accuracy.
Great monitor for gaming and only gaming, not great if you care about image quality or color accuracy as those namely the color are very poor.Color profiles helped but only slightly, and the off color and unusual brightness of the display made the screen hard to look at when something light was being displayed.Gaming on it is great though, a noticeable improvement over 144hz and 165hz. Though I did find myself going back to my 1440p 165hz monitor as I personally could not enjoy the 1080p image with such bad colors.

Great 25” monitor from Alienware
Bought this monitor to replace my Asus 28” 4K monitor which burnt out . I play on a PS4 Pro so I was a little hesitant going to a smaller 1080p monitor but that changed as soon as the Alienware fired up. Even on the default settings the picture quality and colors are better than my Asus. Only thing I notice is that I thought the hdmi ports were 2.0 not 1.4 yet under video settings on my PS4 it states 1.4. My Asus showed up as 2.0. That is using the hdmi cable packaged with the Alienware. Still doesn’t affect my score as it does thec1080p and looks great

Not a bad monitor…
Good monitor. Response time is great and the picture quality is amazing. The only downside to this monitor right now is that you can’t get higher than 60hz on PS5. Higher refresh rate works perfectly fine on Xbox but users aren’t having any success getting a higher refresh rate on PS5 with the Alienware monitors (COD Cold War is a prime example). Due to this and my monitor having a dead pixel I‘ll be sending it back.

Don’t buy if you care about color or clarity.
This monitor preforms great in games with pretty much no ghosting of any kind and response time is lighting fast. The downside is that this monitor has a really blurry and washed out picture. You can adjust sharpness but only in intervals of 10 and after trying to adjust it I can honestly say that this monitor will either look way too sharp and pixelated or way too blurry, there’s no happy medium. This monitor also has pretty bad color reproduction. I tried every preset and every manual calibration option to try and get this looking halfway decent but it still looks very washed out. there’s no option to adjust gamma or contrast, only a black booster. So sadly the contrast and blacks can’t be fixed at all.Lastly the viewing angle of this monitor is the worst I’ve seen from a TN so far. No matter how you’re positioned or what angle the screen is tilted at the top of the screen is always much darker than the bottom.

Great TN 240hz monitor
Great TN 240hz monitor. The colors are good, and I like the different presets (FPS, Movie, Standard etc. For preset color adjustments). It also has a dark stabilizer, similar to benq’s black equalizer. My only compliant is I prefer the smaller/square platform stands for the monitor, as I have a smaller desk that I share my PC and monitor with. The two platform spokes are wide, and slightly protrude on my QCK+. I bought this out of whim to see if 240hz was worth it (I own the 1440P/144hz Dell monitor). I will say playing CSGO death match for about 40 minutes, the game play was much smoother, and it felt like I could flick smoother/more accurate. I would recommend this monitor.
