    Barrington Springdale 7.5″

The Barrington Springdale 7.5″ took me by surprise. I always liked playing on slate pool table and was skeptical about buying this plywood table. Here are the facts. The box was packed very good. It was very heavy and the delivery guys struggled with getting It off the truck and into our garage. I opened the box and removed all the parts except the playing field which is already put together. I needed to get it to the basement so removing the parts made it alot easier to move. I’m not going to lie, I took my time putting the legs and base together. Once that was completed I was able to get a couple more people to lift the playing surface into position. The table is very level and it was easy to do. For the money it’s a no brainer. The felt is really good. The bumpers are a little slower and don’t have a lot of bounce. I would say the bumpers are at 8 out of 10. The table looks great and plays great. The size of the playing field is slightly under sized but the nice play makes up for it. The balls are really nice and have a lot of action. The sticks that come with the table need to be replaced with full size ones. They are good if you have a wall near by and need a shorter stick. I would recommend buying new cue stocks and keep the short ones for kids. The rack is plastic invest in a wooden one. All in all a huge positive surprise! I love the pool table, especially the price! This is a great deal.

Springdale 90″ – Looks Good, A Little Warped

This is for the 90″ Springdale. Overall the pool table goes together very easily. The legs look fine, people are too picky. It is heavy but was able to assemble upside-down and flip with 2 total people. The big issue is that the playing surface is wood and prone to warping. On mine, a slow hit ball would drift to the edges/corners fairly aggressively. The center of the table was higher than the edges and corners, basically. I ended up having to remove the cross supports from underneath (they are pinned at the ends and screwed to the bottom of the playing surface). I used a dremel to get one side cut then could pull the other side right out. I added a diagonal brace across the bottom with a 2×4 reinforced with metal braces on either side. I have a 1/2″ lag bolt going through that up into a 2×6 square that I screwed into the bottom of the playing surface. There is a lot of force pulling the center down now, but the balls are rolling true. I also had to shim along the edges where the playing surface assembly sits on the leg assemblies since it wasn’t even all the way around. I used old credit cards. It was easier to do the bracing than return / replace the pool table (which would probably have the same problem). Don’t drill through the felt if you are messing around and drilling up through the bottom to add supports. The chalk is bad, the cues are bad. The balls seem fine and the plastic rack is fine. It looks more expensive than it is. Happy with it now.

    Love it!

This is a great non-slate table. It’s leveled up good with the levelers and the flatness is pretty close to perfect after tinkering with the adjustments under the playing surface. It feels like I’m playing on a slate table. Anyone who has played plenty of pool knows what I’m talking about. It has a very hard surface feel to it. The banks have great rebound bounce to them. Two of us carried the main part of it from the garage and carefully brought it down the stairs one step at a time resting it here and there on the stairs. I would recommend doing it with 3 or 4 people if you have them. The assembly is a little involved and would go together better with two people rather then just one like I had to. You will need at least two people to transport it and to do the final stretch of assembly.I will add that the outside of the legs are plastic that is a synthetic wood looking surface. When I assembled it under bright lights I was thinking hmmm I don’t know. Where I have the table and the lighting I’m using for the pool room it doesn’t matter. I have the surface of the table well-lit up but the surrounding room is dim. The legs look like they are made of wood with the lightning I have. The legs could be a deal breaker if you put the table in a room that is completely bright every where. The plastic look might not be what you want. The pool sticks are good enough for beginners to start with but recommend getting better ones. One of the two that came with it is not straight.I’m very happy with the seller and the shipping company they used. If you’re looking for a good looking table, that has an excellent playing surface at a great price this is the table for you.I give this table, the seller and the price for the table an A+.

Decent Table for the $$$ but some issues…

Pretty table, poor quality. First issue was delivery. Upon delivery (2 very large boxes) one box was extremely heavy, this was the box containing the solid slate piece that makes up the table top. It arrived on time, but with only two delivery men. They were super nice and friendly, however this table was SO HEAVY, it was surely not a job for only 2 people! And I mean HEAVY, if you want this on an upper level of your home you need AT LEAST 4 very strong people! I helped where I could, but with no other adults we ended up dropping and breaking the corner of the table top. -Not their fault that the shipping company didn’t provide more bodies for a package that THEY KNEW weighed that much when loading it in the truck in the first place. Poor planning on the delivery companies part.Next issue, the quality of material. If the table was made of anything but pressed wood a small corner drop from 6 inches above ground would not have damaged it so badly. But because it’s PRESSED wood with a cheap laminate coating, it splintered instantly.Next quality issue is the felt, extremely cheap felt. I may even just pay to have it recovered before it begins to fall apart and ruin the game. The felt is shedding so badly I had to take a vacuum hose at the end of the brush to clear all the shedding when I simply brushed out chalk marks softly. Clumps of felt began to form all over the table top from a soft brushing as the shedding pooled up in spots and kept causing balls to roll of course from the felt clumps.Lastly, it really is a classy looking aesthetically pleasing table, but clearly they cut quality to make it look good for cheap. I can update again after the first 6-12 months to see how it wears but a good pool table should last decades when cared for properly, if not generations, without falling apart so we will see.

Great table for home / family

I love the table all in all. There are a few quirks but I’ll get to that in a minute. On initial delivery, the table was damaged…likely during shipping. I refused the 1st shipment due to the damage (freight carrier had to REALLY be rough) due to the extensive damage. I contacted the seller and they responded immediately and set in motion the process of replacement. I think that it’s possible that the freight carrier(s) might be contributing to some of the difficulties that others are having. Leveling the table is a HEADACHE and so is the packaging….STYROFOAM EVERYWHERE. Not a bad thing. Considering how roughly the freight company handled it, I understand why they pack it that way. Now for the good. Once put together, IT IS SO FUN!!! You’re not going to be training for any championships or anything, but many many hours of family fun come in that box. I’m completely happy that I bought it. I would suggest that you make sure you take note of the dimensions and be sure of the the additional room needed for pool cues. It is just enough for my loft space. As the reviews state, leveling the table can be quite daunting but once it’s all done….oh so much fun!

    Great for the price

There were no other reviews so took a chance and am satisfied with final product. Shipping and delivery was excellent. The subcontracted company actually delivered days earlier than expected. They were so professional, attentive, and placed everything right where we wanted it. The unit does require some assembly of the legs. The instructions were clear enough to make that happen without incident. They provide a glue for the wood pieces but we opted to replace it with liquid nail since we had it around. It comes with all the hardware needed to complete assembly. The unit is heavy but two ladies were able use every piece of strength within us to lift the table onto the legs bc we thought it would be too heavy to add the legs to the unit and then lift it. Turned out great. The only issue we has was the bar that is inserted into the legs. It’s look great but one end actually came apart where it was pre-assembled with nails. I’m guessing bc it’s particle board but we glued it back together. I would recommend the pool table to others.

    Looks very nice

When we ordered, our ship date was 9/28/24 and we had planned accordingly. The item was delivered early on Wednesday 9/18/24. Lovely. Except we didn’t know it was being delivered that day, it was strapped to a pallet, horizontally (which was correct according to the “this way up”), leaning against the side of our house. A bit heavy for 2 people to get into the garage (closest indoor area)We got it put up today. It looks nice. There is a large scuff mark on the leather pocket and what looks like a splat of glueTook about 2 1/2 hours to put together

    Not preassembled!

Only ordered this because it said preassembled and no assembly required. It came in a lot of parts that I now have to put together. May edit after assembly, but already disappointed just with delivery.

    It is good enough

The box had significant damage on the outside, but no damage inside, so that was a good start.I had a few issues with the assembly. First, and least important, the decorative plastic leg shrouds do not connect well. The screws easily tear through the plastic, and the instructions say to put the foot mount on after the plastic leg shrouds, but doing so puts so much pressure on the plastic that one of them broke slightly. It should be done in the other order. Having said that, I can always just glue the shrouds, so this isn’t a huge deal. Speaking of the foot mount, one of them had holes that didn’t line up with the metal, so I had to re-drill to get it on. Finally, the most time-consuming part was bolting the table to the base, which was difficult because the holes didn’t line up well. I think there were 18 bolts, and it took quite a lot of screwing/unscrewing and jamming the table back and forth to get them all in.I think it took me three hours to assemble, but without those extra problems it would have been about two hours. I was able to assemble it myself without help, but it is very heavy, so I would recommend a second person to help put on the top.As for play, I had some difficulty leveling it, and the rails are fairly dead in spots, but it is good enough to enjoy. I have only had it for a week at this point.

    Great family pool table

I did a lot of research before buying a pool table that’s not too expensive and something that’s shipped reliably with no damage and easy to assemble with minimal risk of breaking while assembling. After I bought and put it together, I could say it met my expectations and checked most boxes. Couple of challenges are1. The package was too heavy for 2 delivery people to deliver to your room of choice even if you buy the service at checkout. I had my friend help along with 2 delivery guys.2. Assembly was fairly easy for most part until we tried to fix the top(playing field) to the base. One of the longer sides had misaligned pre-drilled holes and I had to drill new holes on the base to align to the pre-installed metal nuts in the top.Overall great product, satisfied with the product and tons of fun with the family.

Great Table, Delivery not so much

This was purchased as a birthday gift for my husband. We are happy with the table! It is very heavy and took 4 people to set it upright after assembly, primarily due to the weight and to protect the legs. Took about 2 1/2 hours to assemble. However, be aware that the carrier did not bring the table inside to the desired location although the “how to prepare for delivery” indicated that it would be brought inside. I did not purchase the professional assembly package and would have if I knew it was needed to get the table brought inside (while in the box). Had I known the carrier would not bring it inside as stated in the information, I would have had adequate people to assist with bringing it inside. I had to call people and wait on them to come put it inside as my husband and I were not able to move it.

    Love it!!

We recently purchased the Barrington Urban Pool Table for our loft apartment. We love the modern stylish design from the concrete look finish and wood accents. The black felt also makes this table pop, this was the main reason we purchased as we wanted a trendy look. The price was also very affordable compared to other tables I saw online. Assembly was pretty easy as well, took less than an hour for my wife and I to setup. I highly recommend this table if you are looking for something modern looking at a great price.

    Great looking pool table!

Bought this for a rec room. It is a great value for the money and we are happy with it overall. I love that you can get a felt color other than green and are very happy with the tan we purchased. The felt and top is sensitive and easily damaged because it is a wooden top. If you want a pro grade table this is not for you. If you want a good quality and looks great rec room table then this is for you!

    Lives up to the hype.

Looks like the site. Very sturdy. Time consuming to build. Flipped it to sit on legs. No adjustments needed. Play surface is flat, but has an adjustment for concave/convex surface. Sat level out of the box. Packaging was super and no damage to the table. Worth the time to build and space to leave up.

    Well, I’d go used…

Looks great, plays alright, felt is cheap…There was dents and scuffs on the felt before assembly. Its disappointing to see it, and it makes it hard for me to want to use the table. Its not a big enough deal for me to want to return it, upsetting nonetheless.Only took me about 2.5hrs to build this, I did it alone aside from unboxing and setting the top.Table looks good from 6ft away, felt looks alright from 10ft.Only real complaints are the plastic legs were scuffed up from shipping and the felt is bad.

    Nice pool table.

We have a lot of fun with this table. It was hard to put together. You can’t lay or lean on it. the table will slide even though there is a rug under it. The legs are wraped with plastic that dont stay closed. Other then that you can have fun family time with it.

    Great value for the price

I’m giving 5 stars with stress that I am this happy with the product for what I intended to receive. I wanted a pool table to use for recreation with a bunch of non-professionals. If you are serious about pool, which I am not, this may not be for you. I was OK with wood surface and not slate. The table levels fairly well but some slight movement was fine with me. The legs do have plastic coverings and are not solid wood but when you walk into the room it is difficult to tell and they blend well. If you want an all solid wood frame with a slate top you are going to spend about $2K and for what we needed I’d rather pay about 30% of that cost and have this table.

    It gets better!

When we started unboxing, the thin size of the box scared us and the plastic leg pieces looked sooo cheesy. IT GETS BETTER! The table came together great in the end. I docked a star because several holes were barely off enough to be difficult, but mainly because several panels have surface scratches from the factory and I’m not taking it apart to replace those pieces

    Leveling the playing field

Then leveling brackets are totally useless, if you attempt to use them you will warp the playing field. They serve no function what so ever. For the money it is a good table especially for a starter. The felt playing field will need a lot of brushing to keep it clean. It is easy to assemble but will need at least four strong people to flip it over when it is assembled.

    Absolutely beautiful and great quality!!

I LOVE this pool table! I ordered the Urban edition table. I couldnt believe how perfect it was for our modern upscale airbnb. It was such a great fit with its black felt top and the gray box legs. it has a modern urban looks. there was nothing else like it online. Its a heavy table, as are all pool tables, but it was super simple to assemble. it came in about 3 or 4 pieces with the top pre-assembled and felted. we just had to flip the tap, attach the 2 legs and the beam and done! 2 people were able to assemble it in about 30 – 40 mins. Not bad! 🙂 I will definitely be buying this same exact table for our future properties!

    Great for family use

It took 2 hours for 2 people to assemble. The materials are made of sturdy plastic not wood. Time will tell if it’s study enough to last. I think in time, the bolts will loosen but they will hold. It’s for family game night so it’s fine. It comes with the balls and sticks so don’t need to buy extra.I think it’s a little bit expensive though.

    Better quality than expected

In pieces and during assembly it may not be sturdy quality, but after assembly it was very sturdy. It may be due to our uneven installation so the table wasn’t truely even, but we used some vinyl flooring to balance it out, and it works perfectly. haven’t used it heavily yet, but so far it’s more sturdy then 2 other pool tables that I’ve owned/purchased, although this was the most expensive.

Grab a power drill, socket wrench and head lamp

Firstly, the delivery guys were very friendly and got the package to where I wanted it. The pool table came on a huge wooden pallet, that you will need to take care of yourself. As the delivery people will not take it back.. The box is super heavy and you will need at least 2 people to move it. The pool table came packaged very nicely. Everything was surrounded by foam and the pool table top itself is packaged in a wooden frame (see picture). Looking at the manual and being a little overwhelmed at first, we started with the pool stick stand.. (I was able to build this table with 2 people-women even though the manual says 4.) Definitely have a power drill and a socket wrench handy when you start the table! There are silver metal brackets that attach the legs to the table frame, the picture for this in the manual is very confusing. I took a picture to show you how they go onto the legs, so you don’t make the same mistake I did! In general the manual was very clear and easy to follow. When attaching the table top, I suggest using a head lamp so you can see that the bolt holes are aligned. (See picture) I feel it will take a little more to get the table level, but it will have you playing in no time! (It took us 3 hours)

Bought this pool table for my husband for his birthday as a surprise! He loved it and so did I! Looks great in our basement next to our bar. Took less then an hour to put together. I highly recommend it.

    Decent Table

Delivery was a nightmare. I paid the extra money to have them bring it into the room of choice. When it arrived the delivery guy refused to do so saying it didn’t say so on his sheet. I pulled up my ordered and showed him. He took a picture of it but still refused to do so. Luckily my husband was home. He told my husband if my husband helped him and gave him another $20 cash he would bring it in. This was ridiculous as I already paid for him to do so without our help! Anyway we paid him, helped him and used our dollies to finally get it inside. Other than this the set up was fairly easy and instructions were good. Some of the holes did not match up, the legs look extremely cheap, and it seems smaller than I thought it would. My husband is satisfied but I wouldn’t recommend buying this table even for the price. I would have given the entire experience 3 stars but since by husband was the one who put it together and he wanted to give it 4 stars that’s what we’ll give it.

Ease to assemble and great value

First pool table here, purchased the Barrington Urban Drop for style and price. It is sleek and sharp and very modern looking in our basement. Assembly was simple with the labeled parts (p.s helps if you have someone help). Delivery company was very good at communicating with us and delivery was professional. It is a sturdy table and we are really looking forward to enjoying it for years to come. Definitely recommend.

    Ai-ight

Looks good. pleasant felt color. The legs are obviously plastic (with a metal frame) and don’t fit together quite perfectly, so you notice that they’re cheap if you’re checking out the table. The stick and balls aren’t the highest quality, but they’re not terrible either. Since I don’t play often or seriously I won’t bother replacing them. Good tips on the sticks. The bumpers aren’t very bouncy- they’re stiff and seem different than other tables I’ve played on. Overall the value of the table lines up with the price, so if you have the right expectations you’ll enjoy the table. Pita to put together, which probably goes for most tables. One person can do most of the small work, but two strong people will be need to be there to put the top on the base and to open up the box and get the items out. My wife who likes to lift weights wasn’t able to move the top piece with me, so 2 strong men might be better to plan for.

Don’t over-tighten any screw and do not try to take it apart

first off, the box is VERY heavy and it will take a lot of stuff to lay the box out and unpack everything. Packing wise, the table is well protected by the cardboard and some heavy plastic shields. Some parts are hidden under the table and you will need assistance lifting it.The body is made of metal and wood with molded plastic parts, so from a distance exit does have the look of wood but it’s not. Be careful with screwing the bolts/screws from the lower box to the legs, or they will bulge out and possibly break through the wood veneer.Due to it’s construction and weight, once you have it assembled it is advised to NOT take it apart.I cannot speak of its durability as we have had it up for about a month but I have no complaints about it once we finally assembled it.

BARRINGTON makes a FANTASTIC POOL TABLE and has LOVELY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELIVERY PEOPLE.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVE our new BARRINGTON URBAN pool table. There is a good reason that this table is so sought after. I think this pool table is a great value so Barrington is constantly renewing stock at the big box stores that sell out all the time. Not to worry they always make more in a hurry. It’s extremely sturdy and in turn VERY HEAVY. I would suggest at least 4 adults to move this and get in place. We managed with 3 and a handcart but it was extremely cumbersome for 3 people. One person on all sides would be our suggestion. Great customer service from Barrington/Medal Sports and in addition the company that delivered the Pool Table was superb. They were in constant contact until we got the table. It was amazing to see how the 2 guys got the table into the garage. Very creative use of leverage, physics and a moving dolly. It was a FANTASTIC buy for us and as you can see in our almost completed game room it is very classy and will adapt to any room.

A pool table made out of wood and plastic?

I bought this to my husband as a birthday gift. It took around 3 weeks to receive the table, and I was so excited once arrived. Delivery was excellent so, I was expecting the same inside the package. Once we opened it, my reaction was… Is made out of wood and plastic? My husband was hopeful and I was hesitant. I told myself, “This is it! I am tagged as the worst gifter ever! 🤦‍♀️ I know nothing about pool tables, all I know is that it’s expensive! I wasn’t going to pay thousands for it, so I went with this. It took 3 hours to assemble, but the end result blew my mind! Is more than what we need, and more than expected 4 hours ago. It’s a beautiful table, and serve the purpose. Fits great in my family room and the best part is that it cost half of what I paid for my last pool table. My husband is ecstatic with his gift and we love it! Looks amazing! And I have no complaints at all. Recommend 💯%

    Awesome value

Awesome for the money. Arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was not hard but did take us awhile to do. My husband is great at reading those instructions and looking at the pictures but if you struggle with that, this will be difficult to assemble for sure. Replacing an older table that is worn out and very pleased with this one. It is much better quality than what we had. Only negative remark is the plastic leg coverings which really do look like wood but feel like cheap plastic. Once assembled you would never know unless you touched. There is a metal structure under the plastic so no issues with strength. Paid extra to have delivered to the room of choice which is highly recommended due to weight. Well over 300 lbs including all shipping materials. Very well packaged and protected for shipment. Looking forward to many years of fun with this table. If you are looking for a good table and slate is not in your budget, this is a great choice!

    Good Inexpensive Table

Yeah, it’s not a solid wood table–you should know that by the price. This is, however, a good table for a family room, for people who are just getting into pool or just want a basic table to play at home (especially if space is an issue). The “felt” is a little cheap; it’s going to show scratches quickly.Putting this together was easy; we followed others’ advice and leveled as we went, so the table top was level as soon as we put it in place. It seems sturdy, it plays well, and we love the finish. The cues and balls it comes with are perfectly serviceable, but you’ll likely want better cues and invest in a better brush eventually.

    On TREND and GREAT VALUE!

After looking for months and reading reviews, I finally took the plunge and ordered the Barrington Urban Billiard and Pool Table. It’s always difficult to tell the exact colors on line, but I was very happy with the actual vs online photos. And, was stressing about potential damage in shipping. No worries… exceeded expectations for excellent shipping/packaging. But know that the package is very heavy. I would estimate between 300-400 lbs. After delivery, tt took me an hour to get the boxes open and packaging to the point where guys could assemble. The actual assembly took between 45 – 60 minutes. Every part/tool were clearly labeled and diagrams were great. The table was leveled easily and is very solid. I love the black felt, gray concrete appearance legs, and a light oak finish. Perfect for that industrial, urban, mid-century or blended vintage decor. So far … very pleased! Thank you!
