Easy to build & setup, fun to play with others!

Really excellent machine, the paddles are precise. Be mindful that you will need to adjust the sensitivity for each game based on you and your frequent players having preferences. Especially on Tempest. The manual is barely there, but pay attention to what the buttons do, that way you can explain to new players how to play and control things. Highly suggest putting some rubberized nubs on the bottom for each corner to help keep the machine from sliding around on a clean hard floor in the heat of battle.Only downsides to it:- Internal power cable that plugs into one of the control boxes needs to have a right angle adapter and be a few inches longer. Currently it leaves you very little wiggle room to plug it in AND be able to lay the screen and top part on. If you have smaller hands and forearms, would be easier on you.- I wish there was a piece of cutout acrylic top to help protect the graphic designs from spills, splatter, spit, etc; while playing that fit around the screen, paddles and buttons. I would have also enjoyed a fake coin door or at least the graphics for such a thing on it.

    Great arcade machine

All the controls work perfectly. The screen is a perfect size for this system and has good picture quality. Assembly was easy even by myself. I got this for Warlords and it’s worth it even with that game alone, but the others are great too. I highly recommend picking this up if you’ve got some people to play with.

Circus Atari and Pong Sports are 2600 Games

That being said, Code Mystics should have put ALL the 2600 paddle games in this thing! My 10 year old has finally been hanging out with me and we just discovered Warlords yesterday. The cabinet is so big inside I plan to replace one of the side panels and store all of my home game units in there. Looks like it could make a pretty good chess table and possibly poker as well.

ABsolutely love this machine, but quality control isn’t perfect.

You wouldn’t think they could find so many ways to present the same ball and paddle game, or that nearly all of them would be enjoyable.Pros:1. Warlords!2. Tempest!3. Easy to assemble with clear instructions.4. Surprisingly sturdy.5. Great looking design.6. Dozens of fun ball and paddle games.Cons:1. Quality control. The two halves of my top do not quite mate up properly so that they are offset by nearly an 8th inch. Also, a couple of chips that were obviously touched up with what looks for all the world like white out. My brother’s unit has two noisy spinners, several chips in the top, and what almost looks like mold around the lip where the plexiglass sits.2. The stupid stickers they haphazardly slapped on the side look ugly. They should have put them on the underside of the table, but five minutes with a hair dryer had them cleanly removed.3. This is a nitpick, and I’m not sure how they could have done it differently, but the power cord just sucks. This is a unit that needs to be accessible from all directions, so the cord has to run along the floor unless you find the outside corner of a will to put it against.

Packaged very well, good gaming fun!

Best $299 we coud have spent. We are setting up a new game room, and people wanted to play this Pong VS. a $$$ pinball machine. Who woulda thunk.

    Substantial and legit product

This is my 3rd Arcade 1up product. Slight improvements from previous satisfied products. Scale is larger compared to my previous machines. No need for a riser. Speakers sound very nice. High score is maintained after game is powered off. Great addition to collection.

Well done with a couple minor issues.

I am an old school retro gamer amd pretty particular about my arcade games. This is my first Arcade 1up product and it was purchased purely to have a bar table in my man cave that fit the theme. I was waiting for this to go on sale and it did, so I grabbed it.1) Packaging – it arrived basically triple boxed and extremely well protected. The outer box had some signs of shipping hazards, but the contents were completely perfect, so no worries here.2)Assembly – this was one of the easiest RTA assemblies ever. No issues at all putting it together with one person. Very well thought out and easy with only a Phillips head screwdriver needed.3) Cosmetics – pretty good. The artwork is nice, but there are a few spots that aren’t perfectly aligned on the top. Would have preferred a solid top without a seam. I plan on lining it up with a little craft paint. One clear shortcoming is all the visible screw heads, which can easily be remedied with plugs or even stickers which are not included, but that is now on my list.4) Table functionality- it is not pub table height it is more bar height. This is actually good I my opinion because it works well with bar stools or standing for an adult. As others have stated, there is no acrylic top, which needs to be dealt with. I plan on getting lexan to address this issue. It is a 32” diameter top, 36” would have been much better. The table is very sturdy and solid, no way it will tip over unless you are trying to do it.5) Arcade Controls – pleasantly surprised that the buttons seem to be leaf switch. So, no clickety clack. The buttons do feel lighter than a good Happs, but fine for these games. The spinners work well, but are light weight and I would have like them to be a little heavier…possibly a future mod. Sensitivity is adjustable. I turned it up for Tempest and down for everything else. The monitor displays a nice image a tad soft for Tempest.6) Gameplay – surprisingly good. The adjustable spinner sensitivity let’s you dial in each game. I am very pleased with how the games play and the way they handle vertical and horizontal play. One thing that bugs me is I would like to play single player PONG from the horizontal native position…may need more time to figure that out. I would have loved to see Major Havoc and a few other spinner games on this cabinet. Circus Atari is an odd but welcome choice, but wow…we could have Kaboom! Might be able to hack add some roms, but will have to see. Warlords is by far the best game on this table. So, for $499 I am happy with this purchase. The biggest issue in my eyes is the lack of a proper top, which can be remedied. I would recommend to a casual enthusiast, who is what Arcade 1up caters to. I am pretty hardcore, but I still like it a lot. It’s emulation that works well for the price. Thumbs up here.
