Hard to believe the chair isn’t brand new. Absolutely no signs of any wear or use. Check a video for assurance when feeding wire for posture-fit. Otherwise, easy to assemble and a great chair.

This is the one I waited for so long

I’ve been riding an import, knock-off, mesh chair for 10 years…with some misgivings. Now I have the Aeron. This chair is NOT comfortable UNTIL you figure it out. Lot’s of knobs that control everything and control YOU. It is very likely after a first sit-down you might not be happy but…make the adjustments, and there are a lot to make. Then you and chair become one. When that happens you will understand my statement. If you decide to buy this chair, know you are sitting in the Museum of Modern Art’s top pick of office seating…it is the only chair that deserves this pick IMHO. H-M did a wonderful job in the design and construction of a chair that is made in the USA and not somewhere else. It has the “Right Stuff”.Chairorama includes the neck rest made from the same web fabric that H-M used on the seat and back. Yes, H-M says no headrest is needed in the posture upright position but I like to recline a bit and rest my head – the included headrest is the correct answer. It is heavenly. You will not regret a headrest.I spend my day at a radio desk and need a chair I don’t remember exists under me. If I feel it – likely wrong. If I forget I’m sitting in it – likely the one I need. No sweat with the web fabric. This the one I waited for…

Good chair with aftermarket headrest that doesn’t fit

I like the chair, it is very comfortable. My complaint is with what was advertised versus what was received. The headrest is not Herman Miller and does not fit the chair. Additionally there were virtually no instructions to put the chair together. Most of the assembly was common sense but the back support, the part that did have instructions, was challenging and the instructions were a couple pictures and how to remove, not install. Still unsure if I got it right but since the chair is comfortable I’m leaving it as it is. Overall I definitely recommend the chair just don’t expect a headrest that is usable and trial and error likely for assembly.

    Great chair, so-so assembly instructions

Absolutely love this chair. It is so ergonomically sound and makes working at my desk a breeze. My only complaint is that the assembly instructions were incomplete, and I had to scour the Internet to figure out how to install the lumbar support as well as the headrest. Not difficult to assemble once I found the directions, but definitely not intuitive nor included in the package. That said, love the chair and glad I purchased it.

    As expected!

It looks like the headrest is after-market.

Awesome chair. Headrest sucks. Took it off. Might be a good bike seat. Lol. But I know this chair will last me another decade if more. This is my second chair purchase of the same model. First was in 2009. Now another family member gets the old, but still good, one.

lumbar support verty difficulat to install

The chair certainly is comfortable enough and contains lots of adjustment features. The adjustable lumbar support was almost impossible to install given my moderate arthritis. As an engineer, it is clear this feature was and after-market add-in with little thought with regards to installation.

This chair comes mostly put together.

You only need to put in 4 screws. PROBLEM: The Allen Wrench which comes with the chair was the wrong size. Luckily our facilities (this is a university) people had others. If you are at home you may have had to go out and buy one. Please check to make sure the allen wrench matches the screws.

Vastly overhyped, certainly not worth $1,500 new

This is one overhyped and overpriced chair. Would never buy it at MSRP, it makes no sense whatsoever. As a used item, maybe, but $700 for this piece of plastic still seems way too much. It’s not comfortable, the many adjustments are just a collection of knobs that bring no value except the illusion of a “custom” chair.Nothing against the vendor, they fulfilled their side of the bargain impeccably, but the Herman Miller lore of the greatest office chair in the world is just that: marketing hype.

Un questionably a truly great office chair

The chair appears to be a genuine Herman Miller Aeron chair. I do not know if it were new however. It was not original packing nor box, so I would wager it was open box at the best. Still, it appears new and in very good shape and as advertised. The shipping box was badly damaged but, the chair, except for a minor abrasion on the left arm rest was intact. We get what we pay for, the is for certain.

    Really comfortable

I sit at a desk all day and my chair from Staples was killing my back. This is extremely comfortable and I have no more pain.
