About this item
A 240Hz refresh rate is 4x faster than typical standard monitors and twice as fast as common 120Hz gaming monitors. More frames means smaller visual information Gaps, which means a faster reaction time for the Gamer. There’s a 8.3 millisecond gap between frames at 120Hz, which is halved to 4.16ms between frames at 240Hz. This is incredibly important to gamers playing at breakneck speeds, and provides an edge over gamers less well-equipped. Combined with skill, get more wins by being able to react in real-time.
Amd Radeon free Sync technology synchronizes the GPU and monitor, displaying full frames only when the monitor is capable of displaying them. This minimizes graphic distortions such as tearing and artifacts from forming on screen, allowing you to experience native refresh rates up to 240Hz for rapid-fire, tear-free Graphics that don’t require user adjustments.
A wide-angle viewing range means that color coverage is consistent no matter which angle The screen is viewed from. This is thanks to the IPS technology that the monitor is built on.
Convenient monitor controls are easily reached on the right side of the monitor, with a new joystick for navigating menus quickly and intuitively. The individual buttons can be assigned as shortcuts for the gamer’s preferred tools and settings.
The true 1ms response time blasts away motion blur. The pixels are able to change quickly and respond to the new image signal as it comes in. This is a new feature for IPS monitors, which have typically been considered too slow for gaming.

It supports a series x like no tomorrow with Zero frame rate drops, the screen is great, looks amazing too. The brightness is insane right out of the box but you can turn it down to something a little more mellow. It was very fast and easy to setup, I was able to swap my tv to this monitor in a session of black ops (I kid you not) and it has RGB too so bonus swag

Great Monitor, Just Know It’s 240Hz Refresh Rate Does Come At The Cost Of Picture Quality.
Beautiful monitor for gaming. FreeSync, and Overdrive? SIGN ME UP!! Colors are a little underwhelming, as compared to other monitors. I came from a 27in QLED Samsung Curved Gaming Monitor 144Hz (Model CFG73). The Samsung had better colors, and a “Black Equalizer” feature, DO NOT get this confused with the “Black Stabilizer” on this model, no where near the same feature. However, the CFG73 does not support G-Sync, and trust me, that makes a HUGE difference in frames and smoothness. All in all, the Alienware is a good monitor for gaming, as long as your PC can actually use the hardware in it. I paired this with my Aurora R9, AW988 Headset, AW510K Keyboard, and a ROCCAT Kone Aimo mouse. The RGB on the back, use a system called AlienFx, you can select your standard colors and options via the built in monitor menus, but if you want to control brightness, saturation, and modes, you will have to download AWCC. Here are some tips below:** If you purchase this and do not own an Alienware computer, and want you use custom lighting effects, you need to download Alienware Command Center (AWCC), you will want to do this from the MICROSOFT store, not the DELL SUPPORT page, because those are geared for Alienware computers, so download it from the Microsoft store. **System Specs for reference:*CPU: i7-9700 (OEM Liquid Cooler Installed after the fact. Model #: MH0HN)*GPU: GTX 2080 Super 8GB Blower (Ew, I know. Works good though if you have a small case and mess with fan curves in MSI Afterburner.)*RAM: 16GB Hyperx Fury @ 2666MHz*Storage: 512GB SSD + 1TB HDDPros:-Refresh Rate is BUTTERY FREAKIN’ SMOOTH-Stand Quality & Adjustability-AlienFx Lighting on the back acts like a backlight behind your TV to prevent headaches.-There’s actually room UNDERNEATH the monitor stand for your keyboard wires to go under.-USB options allow you to allow power to continue to go to the ports even while display is in sleep/off. VERY NICE!!-You need ZERO tools to put this together, it literally has one hand screw (has the little metal thing you just turn with your hand), and the monitor stand just locks into the back of the monitor. Easiest monitor I’ve ever put together.-Comes with cable management holes, and has a cover that goes over the back and completely hides the wires and ports. NICEEEEEE.Cons:-Blacks not as dark as other competitive monitors, but this is easily fixed by messing with settings, still not FULL black though, but almost.-Not Curved-Only 1000:1 Contrast Ratio.

I was nervous coming from 1440p
When looking for a new monitor I could not decide if I wanted to go with a 1080p 240hz monitor or get another 1440p 144hz monitor as my last one was getting very old. I went out on a limb and went with this one as most of the games I play are very competitive and would benefit from the higher refresh rate. After about a month and a half I can say I DO NOT regret buying this monitor! The color is extremely vibrant and the 240hz, although a marginal increase from 144, is extremely smooth and I can now tell a difference when using my friend’s 144hz monitor. Although I can tell that there is a difference in picture sharpness with coming from 1440p but it is not as big of a deal to me as I thought it would be. This monitor is a great price for an IPS high refresh rate monitor and I was shocked to know that it was alienware who makes it, (usually they sell way overpriced items). If anyone who plays competitive games and is looking for a high refresh rate monitor, this is your one. A quality to note with this monitor is its weight, ITS HEAVY, the screen is thick and the stand is a tank, it has already made my desk bend from the weight, so make sure you have a high quality desk. Also the display port cable included was junk for me, it would make the screen cut to black and leave me waiting for about 2 seconds, very annoying, but I switched to the included HDMI cable and that fixed the issue. Also the main games I play on this is CSGO and Rocket League and its perfect for these games.

A lot of tweaking will be needed for the color quality.
I do love this monitor, but the color depth could use some work in my opinion for the price. It takes a lot of tweaking in order to get it even slightly close to what I already had with my other monitor. However, that being said. The framerates are amazing on this and I do love the wide screen viewing. The moveability is nice with the basic freestyling of how you want to place the monitor screen. For what I use it for it works perfectly. I did have to adjust my graphic settings to help the monitor colors a little more, but that wasn’t really a surprise. It works for what I need it for and seems smooth operation wise.

Alienware Quality, Great Detail and Picture Perfect
I can’t really say there is anything I don’t like about these monitors. Had these for over a year now and never had a problem with them. Well built, highest quality and they look awesome. The only lag is the internet connection (come on spectrum, keep up). Every connection from display to USB has been well thought out These are so easy to install and when done, looks clean! Love the ability to adjust everything from height to color of illumination. Super happy with the purchase of these!

Great monitor for the price.
I bought this monitor for racing simulation games and it performs very well. One thing to be aware of though is on the model I received, the response time settings are reversed. The “Fast” setting is actually the 1ms response setting and the “Extreme” setting is the slower response time. If you get a monitor with this same bug than you will get a ton of ghosting on the “Extreme” setting and none on the “Fast” setting.

Fantastic monitor, just know *why* you are buying 240hz
Is this monitor objectively “good”? Let me say yes. The quality was fantastic. And the item came perfectly intact with no issues. 240 hertz IPS is a relatively slim selection at this point in time. I come from a Dell 144 Hertz g-sync 1440p monitor. I really wanted something with much higher refresh rate for the shooters that I play. but what I realized after extensive use of my 1440p is that no matter how great the monitor is, going down to 1080p for me personally just gave up way too much visual quality. so my complaint is not really with the monitor itself since it works exactly as designed has great colors and is buttery smooth. I got back some of the quality by increasing the resolution scale in certain games and adding a little bit of sharpening but at that point you are using the same amount of vram as you were on a 1440 screen, yet you are sacrificing pixels per inch. So then at that point why have the monitor? as I said this is a fantastic piece of equipment just know why you are buying it before trying it out. hopefully by mid 2019 we have some 240 hertz 1440p IPS displays to choose from and I will definitely snag one.

240hz IPS 1 ms without breaking the bank
Basically the same panel as the acer nitro xv273x, but 150 dollars cheaper. You can’t beat this price on an IPS 240hz monitor, best deal on the market right now, i highly recommend this to anyone that has a gtx 1080 ti or above, you need the right system to enjoy this monitor at its full potential. The color reproduction is night and day compared to a TN panel, and it has minimal blur.

Crisp image clears errors with old 144hz monitors
Upgraded from a 144hz, 1ms monitor. This monitor is a great upgrade. Less screen tearing by 100% imo, Crisp image and even cleared some lighting issues with my video card not being in sync with my old monitor. I dont get flickering, tearing and lights cracking the image at certain angles.

Solid 240 hz monitor runs really smooth!
Coming from a 75hz Asus monitor this was a huge upgrade for me. This monitor runs my games smoother than a hot knife cutting through butter! The colors are okay coming straight out of the box but once you set it up to your liking this is an amazing monitor. The stand is really nice you can move it up or down, tilt it and also move it side to side. Also the lighting on the back of the monitor looks very nice!! Buy it!

Absofuckinlutely love this monitor! Great 1080p image quality and the 1ms response time on an IPS display is a game changer! I came from a 4k 60hz monitor that I still own and love, was a bit weird going backwards in resolution (kinda like watching a vhs right after DVDs came out) but with the IPS display, and virtually zero screen tearing it didn’t take long to get used to the change, but the higher refresh rates on 1080p monitors makes for a good gap filler between them and a 4k monitors. Would def refer this to any gamer friend!

Great monitor, gorgeous graphics.
Absolutely worth the money for serious gamers. After setting the refresh rate on Windows, playing games from 120-200fps feels incredibly smooth. Picture quality is incredible, and it even has lighting options for the light bar on the back of the monitor. It is quite hefty but it’s absolutely worth it as my main monitor. Color quality is gorgeous and rich, better than my older but still usable ASUS as well.

Amazing Gaming Monitor

Pretty good, not great.
This is a great 240hz monitor but returned due to some issues. The panel itself is great. Very little blb and the motion handling is decent. Just had issues with gsync stuttering in some games and alienware software for rgb is buggy and wont detect it’s own monitor. If your willing to fiddle around with the settings for each title you play this is a good quality monitor.

Extremely clear picture

Its Amazing!!!
Great monitor, solid build, RGB lighting in the back is a nice touch, it feels premium as it should. I did however drop my P.C into the screen when i was moving, and to my surprise, it WASNT SPIDERWEBBED!!!! I love it, going from 60fps to 144fps an now to 244fps, its an insane leave. I recommend it, i bought it with my Trump dollars, so if u have the extra cash, go for it!!

Super smooth, but boring colors.
The colors are really boring, I noticed it as soon as I turned it on. That being said, I noticed an extreme performance boost with my own skill level as soon as I upgraded to this monitor. (from 60hz to 240hz.) If you want it purely for gaming and don’t care about vivid visuals, then this is a great monitor. If you want visuals, opt for a 1440p Samsung.

Top Of The Line Monitor
This product is definitely top of the line and would recommend to anyone who wants a high end monitor that will be good for the next couple years. It is pricey but good reason. I don’t really have any cons to the product, I always play with my color setting on my new monitors so I never saw the “washed colors”. It’s pretty heavy as well, not a con but if you have not had a high end monitor like me then be ready for that. I PERSONALLY wouldn’t recommend if you are struggling to hit 60fps in the first place since it won’t really show it’s true value if your hardware isn’t up to par. The 240hz are amazing but they really shine when you have a clear smooth image.

High performance for a more reasonable price.
The picture quality is great, colors aren’t perfectly calibrated out of the box so you gotta look that up but it’s not really an issue. The 240hz feels so much better than my previous 60hz monitor. 1ms is really nice because my previous was 5ms and I can really see the difference in some of my games. The fact that this is 1080p, 1ms, and 240hz makes this monitor perfect for esports. Also 27′ was a little bigger than I thought but I’m happy that I got one this big because of how much clearer everything looks compared to my old 21′ 1080p monitor. Only minor complaint is the stand is a little bit big, but for how much movement it has it’s excusable.

Very cool but it has its gimmicks.
They say no gimmicks regarding the response time, however, when you set it up to extreme to get the 1ms the ghosting is incredible and you some times you can barely see things while moving so there’s a gimmick after all…

I think this is a very good computer the only thing i do not like is there is no built in speakers so i had to go out my way and schedule to order some and i have to waitup 2 weeks so i can’t hear anything rn big thumbs down for me but other than that this computer is great very good quality great size and nice in general.

Nice color and the AlienFX to change the colors of the logo and ring light on the back works very nicely and is very color accurate, right out of the box the picture is nice but you will need to adjust brightness as well as other picture setting to find what’s best for you as well as every other monitor, awesome for gaming or just watching video, great product 🙂

Great Gaming Monitor

Monitor buttons don’t work most of the time
Most of the time (like 80%) when I press the menu button or ANY bottom on the monitor it doesn’t do anything.. I’ve been trying to change my led light color for about a week now and I can’t cause I can’t bring up the menu settings.

Great Quality!
This thing is amazing! The first one is what it looks like in on it’s on and the second one is it compared to my laptop. The laptop is a 15 inch so this is a huge upgrade for me. Anyone looking for a 240hz monitor should buy this!
