does what you think it’ll do if you need this kind of monitor. most people don’t, but if you know you know with this kind of thing. surprisingly sharp colors, G-SYNC that actually works, solid build quality, honestly just a great panel.

Dead On Arrival (Terrible Customer Service)
I Typically enjoy Alienware products and was looking with great anticipation to add this monitor to my setup, however when I plugged the monitor into my GPU and wall socket a few things happened:1. The Monitor was receiving power but the screen was DEAD2. My computer recognized the second monitor.————————I tried power cycling, alternating plugs, and using different cords all to no avail. Then I contacted Dell Support, waited a half hour, just for someone to answer the phone and tell me it would be another 3 hour wait. I agreed to wait, and I was abruptly hung up on.I took a gamble with so few reviews, but most were positive. but this being a new monitor, I suppose I drew the unlucky straw. I’m going to try to get a replacement and I’ll update if the new one works.I’d be very CAUTIOUS purchasing this.

Breaks after 4 months of use!
After four months of use the screen randomly become glitched out/had screen tearing as shown in the pictures. Contacted the business who sold it to me and they essentially told me they cant do anything about it as it was past 45 days yet they ‘strive to provide a perfect experience”. A $600 gaming monitor literally lasted 4 months. This product is a scam. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I assume the screen tearing resulted from overheating as the monitor felt extremely hot, and currently Dell has no fix for this as reported by other users with the same problem.tl;dr – This company is trying to scam you.

Reaction times are way down
I researched all currently available monitors and TVs using rtings dot com. I’m quite pleased with the monitor thus far. No dead pixels. Easy and intuitive menu. It’s a graphical powerhouse at a fairly modest price.Pros:When it first arrived I compared it to my prior LG 60 Hz LCD TV using the human benchmark website. No other gear was changed so it reflects just the monitor. With the 60 Hz TV I was getting 230 ms average and 200 ms fastest reaction times to click my mouse after the human benchmark website turned from red to green. When I switched to this new monitor I got an average reaction time of 165 ms and my fastest reaction time was 97 ms. These tests were both done with my Logitech G203 gaming mouse set to 1000 Hz polling rate. So my average reaction time went down by a whopping 30% and my fastest reaction time decreased by over 50%. My new averages are better than 90% of human benchmark users and I’m not even a competitive gamer.Other than above, resolution is quite good for the screen size, the screen size is perfect for my 3′ deep desk, the aesthetics are very nice, it is a very nice looking monitor with a good stand and decent cable management.Using my old LG TV in World of Tanks, I could see that my trusty EVGA Geforce 1070 GPU was giving me around 320 +/- 50 frames per second typically at low or minimum graphics settings, which I always use to reduce unnecessary clutter, and even though the TV was incapable of displaying most of the frames being output, getting a 360 Hz monitor made sense to me. Plus it future proofs my setup for the foreseeable future.G-Sync works seamlessly with my GPU.Cons:Text clarity isn’t as perfect as say an iMac due to iMac screens having double the pixel density of other brands, but for my purposes the text clarity is totally functional and I don’t even notice it.Price is a little higher than some budget gaming monitors but this is a significantly better monitor, in my view, so worth the money for a better gaming and all around monitor.Contrast ratio is a weakness of IPS monitors in general but this model has among the highest contrast ratios of IPS monitors, which was another factor that sold me on it. If you want really good contrast you need to look at other types of panels.FYI: I needed to update my old gpu driver before this monitor would work in my system, due to my gpu’s age I guess, which triggered some distress initially since I mistakenly thought the monitor was dead out of the box. I don’t fault the monitor for this since it works flawlessly after updating the gpu driver. resolving this required access to a second display that my gpu driver already supported.

Amazing Monitor, But I Got A Dead Pixel.
(Make Sure To Check For Dead Pixels) – Sadly I Had To Return This Monitor And Get A Refund Due To A Dead Pixel. 😭This Monitor Was Truly Amazing, The colors where great, And I felt no delay while playing competitive Fortnite on performance mode. It was also amazing playing non-competitive valorant. It is quite bright which is also great in my opinion.Sadly You Cant Tilt This Monitor On It’s stock stand backwards so you kind of have to play with the screen completely flat.Great Monitor 11/10

Coming from 240Hz 1440p…worth it.
I’m coming from an Alienware AW2721D.When using that monitor, I know that I must set the response time to the standard setting, lest I wish to see massive amounts of ghosting. That is not the case with this one. I have it set to Extreme— no repercussions. I’m getting the advertised 1ms response time with zero caveats. That, coupled with the higher refresh rate, makes this as instant of a response and as minimized of a latency as you could ever get out of a monitor. And trust me— if you’re a sweaty try-hard like I am, you will notice. You won’t see it, but you will feel it. Everything is snappier. It will feel like your enemies are moving in slow motion. You will feel like you have more time to react. My 3080 Ti is averaging 280-300 FPS in Modern Warfare multiplayer, so I’m not even maxing this thing out. Looking forward to when newer cards are released.Overall, amazing monitor performance. Highly recommend.

Excellent monitor for the price. Great color and resolution without lag. The only thing I can complain about is that when fading to black there is pixelation.

Really good competitive monitor now
Coming from a 240hz panel for about 2-3 years I have to say going to 360hz I will say I don’t notice it TOO much at first but the more I take my time and look at the game and surroundings the more smoother it is and feels good for flicks. I will say after this being out for a year or so, they must’ve updated the panel on this monitor because it doesn’t really have as bad ghosting as the earlier reviews when this first came out, it actually looks and feels just like any 240hz monitor if you are coming from one but WAY more smoother. I do really enjoy this monitor quite a bit and replaced my Benq XL2546k. I recommend this to someone who is SUPER competitive and wants every tiniest advantage possible.

Amazing
Such a great PC! So far we’ve only had it set up for a day, but it’s been working beautifully. It’s been a journey going from an hdmi connected TV to a 360hz monitor. 100% worth the money. It came safely packaged with sturdy foam protecting all of its pieces. The stand is very nice and sturdy as well, I love the little spots of RGB.Not a big con, but it would help if the instructions had words with it rather than just pictures (very easy to figure out, just would be helpful to know which cords are which). 10/10 great monitor, can’t wait to get more 🙂

Alienware Gaming Monitor: Crystal-clear display and lightning-fast response
I recently purchased an Alienware Gaming Monitor and have been blown away by its performance. This monitor is the ultimate tool for any serious gamer, and has made a significant difference in my gaming experience. The first thing that impressed me about this monitor is its display. It has a fast refresh rate and a high resolution, which ensures that images are sharp and clear. This is especially important for fast-paced games, where every frame counts.Additionally, the monitor has excellent color accuracy and contrast. This allows me to see details in dark areas of the game, and makes the overall experience more immersive. I have noticed a significant improvement in my ability to spot enemies and track moving objects. The monitor is also extremely responsive, with minimal input lag. This means that my actions are registered almost instantly, which is crucial for competitive gaming. I have not experienced any delay or lag, which has allowed me to perform at my best.Overall, I am extremely impressed with the Alienware Gaming Monitor and would highly recommend it to others. It is the ultimate tool for any serious gamer, and is sure to enhance your gaming experience.

Don’t buy this
I first bought the 240hz version back in 2021 and it was a solid monitor until in randomly stopped working. I purchased this 360hz version to replace it for over $500 dollars. That was July of last year, and it’s gone bad already. Definitely never buying Alienware ever again.

Delivers top-tier performance without pulling any punches where it counts
Got this monitor at $379 when it was 39% off, quite a steal. Coming from a 2012, TN 144 Hz DVI-D based display, this upgrade was more than I could ever imagine. Even on the most extreme overdrive sitting, there is no perceptible inverse ghosting or motion blur, even at lower refresh rates.Pros:+ good out of the box color reproduction + 10-bit color profiles+ comes with decent connection cables+ high refresh rate with impeccable motion clarity+ native G-Sync Module provides no tearing, even at the lowest frame rates+ has BFI (Black Frame Insertion) with a wide range, but at the cost of half of the monitor’s brightness and only works at 240HzCons:- Monitor OSD is very unintuitive, some options seem superfluous and some settings don’t stick after power cycling- stand is very large and will not fit on some smaller desks- using the built-in Nvidia reflex latency analyzer can put the monitor into a boot loop sometimes- horrible HDR 400 implementation, makes everything look washed out- despite having two USB ports, there is no KVM switch for each input as seen in other Gigabyte gaming monitors

Solid performance, only a few issues.
Overall, very satisfied with this display. It has a bit more light bleed in the corners than my previous display, but it’s only noticeable with a pure black image. I actually tried out the Asus and LG 240hz monitors, but prefer this one. HDR10 is a noticeable improvement from the HDR400 of the other displays. My only real gripe with this thing is that HDR mode automatically enables automatic screen brightness adjustment (you can’t turn this off). 80% of the time, this isn’t an issue. It is ALWAYS a problem with subtitles. And i’ve noticed it causes issues with certain events (like opening a web browser within a game to make a purchase, looking at you fortnite). With all that being said, i’d probably buy it again.

It’s Okay
I upgraded from a 240hz and there is not a huge difference as expected but still well worth the money in terms of display. However this monitor does make a slight buzzing noise which has started to drive me nuts as I’ve tried everything in my power to turn it off but someone it doesn’t turn off

Went from 240hz to this and you can see a noticeable difference. Remember that you need to have a strong card to push the frames needed. I only get low 300s and it’s still noticeably better.

Great monitor, but TN still wins
Everything about this monitor is amazing if you have GPU power (using a 3090). Beats the crap out of my TN at everything except for one thing, how fast my input gets to the screen. Please, somebody make a 360hz TN

DOA
Set up new monitor. Repasted my gpu since temps were high. Turned on alienware monitor (showed eco mode), booted computer, but saw nothing. Reset computer a few times, but still nothing. Thought I messed up my repaste, but I plugged in my old monitor, everything is working, gpu running much cool. Plugged Alienware monitor back in, nothing. DOA.Update: Monitor working after unplugging all cables from monitor, draining all residual power from monitor, then plugging back in. Monitor is fast. Menu buttons are loud and not too user friendly.

Monitor Randomly Turns Off
I love all the features of the monitor however there is one major issue with this monitor. Randomly as I am using it it will turn off and I have to press the button to turn it on- this isn’t a big deal if you’re using it for every day tasks but I would assume that most of the people buying this monitor are using it for gaming so it’s a terrible experience when you’re in a game and your monitor shuts off mid match and you have to turn it back on manually and it takes a few seconds to turn back on. Those precious seconds of not being able to see anything or a huge disappointment with this premium monitor. Very disappointed in this monitor I will have to consider other options because of its inability to be a reliable monitor for gaming.

brings real fast response to gaming rivals, but a dead pixel found, need return
Improved my speed to shoot in FPS by 3,4 times. Very clear picture in which you can see much further than my previous VA panel Acer which is very clear too but responds slowly. But this one at the left below corner, a big dead pixel. What a shame, and the technical team didn’t detected it when manufacturing. Leaves room to be desired. I have to send it back for my money.

360hz vs 240hz
-Very Bright- 360hz over 240hz feels like a more snappy and responsive 240. Ive been on 240 for almost 2 years and used many different 240 panels and the Asus 280hz. You can tell the difference. Gsync works very well. some will say to use uncapped frames and no gsync but this monitor has zero latency. with gsync on and a cap of 355… your eyes will experience pure bliss of seamless play.My final conclusion:360hz after a few days of use i do notice an improvement in responsiveness over 240. GIVE IT A WEEK OF USE before drawing any conclusions. You’ll notice it when returning to 240. The Gsync does work very well when settings are right and its very very smooth, The colors are top notch. And the build quality on these monitors are 5 star. cant get any better.

Best competitive gaming monitor.
Alienware has a history of not being the highest quality products, but this monitor specifically is an absolute home run and nothing is a close comparison for those sweaty Valorant or CSGO matches. BenQ’s DYAC+ when stacked against this monitor is an absolute joke, as the 360hz blows away any black frame insertion technology. I purchased both monitors to see what was better and the Alienware is absolutely hands down in outer space compared to the competition. The only draw back in the chunky stand, but I fixed that by mounting it on an Ergo monitor arm.

insights after owning for a year
Cannot do 10bpc at 360hzDisplayport 1.4 not 1.4aBase so large the US military is jealous, I mean literally I cannot center my monitor AND have things on my deck, waiting for a mount to arrive today.100% should’ve gotten the ROG but anyways, its HDR supported and has avg response times give that the lowest overdrive setting is recommended for reduced ghosting, naturally I use extreme and just deal with it because I paid for 1ms.

Although it turn out okay, but it’s very misleading to label these monitors as brand new. They are not brand new products.

Went from 240 hz Alienware to 360 hz. Holy crap it’s wayyyyyyy better.
This is the first monitor I’ve ever got that doesn’t look like a choppy mess. The Extreme true 1 ms response has no ghosting at all and that surprised me a lot. Color is far better than the aw2518h. Monitor has an esports mode. Has latency analyzer, what isn’t there to love about this monitor. Far better than 240 hz. Also it performs 240 hz better anyways.
