Great screen but..
The perfect size for my setup. The installation was easy especially since I have a new Alienware PC and the setup was easy. The only issue I have is the default setting for the on/off button is to blink WHITE when in sleep mode. Yes you can change it on the monitor but sometimes the Alienware app will change it back to the default of blinking WHITE when in sleep mode, ugh…. I would still recommend this monitor for your Alienware PC… HAD TO DUCK TAPE THE BLINKING POWER ON/OFF BUTTON SINCE THE MONITOR DOSEN’T SAVE THE CHANE TO NOT BLINK…. Yes it is annoying but some many previous monitors were not this annoying, they all went into sleep mode with no annoying blinking power button…..

Cable isn’t not good.
I just bought this monitor and tried gaming with it. My screen started flickering every 5 seconds even though I’ve tried updated drivers and stuff. It is a waste of time to just buy it and return so i kept looking for a solution. The solution for this that I found after trying plenty of ways is that I switch the DP cable of this monitor to my old monitor cable. I was not going to think and try that at first because my old cable was cheap. Anyways I tried and it worked, it is the first day that I use it so, I’ll update as soon as something else would go wrong.

Entry level monitor that is even better than most mid tier
Entry level monitor with quality and specs that makes mid tier monitors look bad. Fantastic monitor and for the price I got it. It was affordable. HDR,monitor display and amazing vibrant colors, it’s so awesome. No regret in my purchase. It’s an entry level monitor but it’s so good it mind as well be mid tier gaming monitor

Good Monitor for Gaming
I bought this monitor awhile back and has served me well so far. I bought this monitor since I play competitive games such as Fortnite and MW3. Before this monitor I had a 1440p 165hz panel. I then bought a higher-end pc, requiring me to buy this to push more frames. With that being said, this thing loves pulling watts right out of my wall. Even with the wattage draw, the physical monitor itself doesn’t seem to get very warm. The picture is good for what it is. The color range is alright. But again, the main draw to this monitor is the refresh rate. I found a lazy pixel about a month and a half into owning it, but I only see it when I’m trying to look for it. All in all, this monitor is a good choice for anyone looking into competitive gaming, especially when it goes on sale.

I think it’s good
Definitely a lot better than my last one. Picture is crisp. I wish the front Alienware lit up too if you wanted, that’d be sweet. Otherwise I’m happy with it but I could be biased bc I think the brand Alienware is a cool name so I like their stuff

A review for FPS gamers.
If you are like me coming from a 1080p high refresh rate monitor to this for specifically shooter games. You will not regret this purchase.+Bright vibrant colors.+180hz refresh with a in-menu option of monitor.+No more ghosting, ULTRA smooth!! I could not believe my old BenQ had so MUCH ghosting and blur.+1440p Easier to see enemies at very long distances in modern shooter games.+Windows and specific game HDR compatible.+G-sync while it said it was not supported by Windows, it enabled and seems to be working great.+Handles text reading @ 180hz just fine. Slight slight very slight blur.I wanted to buy a $900 Alienware OLED model, but I choose this to save money. I could not be happier. You could of told me it was a OLED, and I would of believed it.

Awesome some down falls may be with system but doubt it
It’s awesome, can’t take away a star because of software BS but YouTube kinda sucks with this. Skips portions of video but will play. Think it’s actually a windows / YouTube issue games play awesome. Clear as can be and 2k… people debate. No debate on this could go 1080 all day and it will play great on 3060, I run 2k on 3060 i5 fast memory and and fast NVME drives no problem no lag . It keeps up good

Very crisp image and good brightness
I’m giving it 4 stars because it is a really good monitor (at least if you get it on sale), but the only thing that I don’t mind personally but other people may notice is the backlight bleed. Is it a dealbreaker? To some maybe I personally would have never payed full price for this monitor and even struggled paying discounted price but I’m happy with it is still a really nice monitor for gaming.

Peak monitor-ing!
I bought this used and am still wondering what’s wrong with it. There is no burn-in, dead pixels, or form factor damage. At any rate, I have the 34”, and this was for our second PC. It has an excellent refresh rate and picture quality, and for a used product, it’s great value for the money!

The Alienware AW2523HF pairs nicely w/ my Alienware M18 Ryzen/Radeon laptop!
I read some reviews and looked at the RTINGS rating. Somehow this has a lower rating than my Dell S3220DGF. I’m not sure how, but let’s see; It’s close to, or right at 400nits. The response time is fast enough I don’t see any ghosting or trailing of pixels. The color profile matches perfectly to the laptops! I only need the Alienware Control Center to adjust the brightness, etc. It’s been great for gaming and watching movies. The only negatives I’ve seen so far, is that sometimes when turning the screen brightness down in the AWCC software, it sometimes turned the backlight off entirely. This needs fixed.

Excellent Monitor!
Bought this used, but it was in excellent condition. No scratches or signs of wear (aside from the original box that looks like it’s been through hell and back lol). No dead pixels or anything and it does everything I could want. Lots of customization options, easy to set up, and the screen looks great for both gaming and work tasks. The ability to run games at 1440p/280hz is amazing, it all runs so smoothly! Build quality seems excellent as well, it’s built like a tank but isn’t crazy heavy either. Overall, quite happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great 27″ 2k monitor.

Fantastic Product w/ Downsides
I purchased this monitor a year ago after extensive research. I was looking explicitly for a monitor that had an IPS panel, a fast response rate, a high refresh rate, was QHD, and offered a great warranty. The Alienware offers all of these, at a great price.I’ll list the pros and cons that I’ve experienced over the year of owning this product.Pros:- IPS w/ 98% SDR/HDR color calibration out of the box- High SDR Brightness- 280hz Refresh Rate- 0.5ms Response Rate w/ overdrive- QHD (2560×1440)- Build quality is top tier- Zero ghosting- No flicker- Freesync Pro works with AMD/Nvidia cards- 3 year warranty out of the box from AlienwareCons:- Backlight Bleed is noticeable on black wallpapers or in very dark scenes, probably one of the worst I’ve seen. This is common with this unit if you search it. For me, it’s not a massive issue because I only use it for bright FPS titles. I have an ultrawide OLED for other games.- Alienware UI is lacking compared to competitors. The UI feels like there’s a lot, but there’s actually not. This is especially true if you try HDR mode, where the panel will lock the color, and brightness settings. Why this is makes no sense to me.- No HDMI 2.1. This doesn’t really matter since it’s not a 4k monitor, but I would assume it would have one since the monitor was released after the currentgen consoles. At the price, it surprised me. I use DP 1.4 either way, so it wasn’t an issue for me.- No speakers. This personally doesn’t affect me as I use either headphones or a surround system. However, it technically is a con.- Mediocre HDR performance. The HDR performance is mediocre at best. The gray uniformity isn’t the greatest because the backlight bleed, which takes away from the highs and lows HDR tries to accomplish. The HDR brightness is also technically below standard. I would recommend SDR, which looks very good anyway.- Semigloss screen coating. The coating appears more matte than semigloss to me, but it’s not bad per say. It’s still good enough to not wash out the colors like some matte coatings, but I definitely feel like calling this semigloss isn’t accurate. I would rather call it lightly matte.Conclusion:- This monitor excels at being a top tier choice at competitive fast moving games like CoD, CS2, Overwatch, Etc. However, it does not excel at games that would be better played on an OLED or MiniLED panel. I own this monitor strictly for FPS titles, and have the OLED AW3423DWF for other games. My use for this monitor is fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who plays fast paced competitive games and can push the frames to utilize the refresh rate.

Spend the money!
I got this monitor after building my new pc and I have to say it is worth the money. The resolution, the color and the performance are great. I love the color as it makes any videos or games I play look really good. The amount of cables included is great as you don’t have to worry about getting some. I do recommend using the display port rather then HDMI so you can use all 250hz.

Amazing
Off the rip this monitor is amazing, very easy to assemble, no screws etc, it’s on the lighter side as in weight, and performs like a beast, I was hearing some other people say the brightness looks bad but no it looks perfectly fine on my end and I even messed with the settings and it looks even better, very responsive as well, the last complain I saw was that it gets hot and that’s not true at all mine is actually cold and cool and I have a hot room. Overall 5/5 stars I would recommend and only to people who can get the full 500 fps other wise it’s not worth it unless you are thinking about upgrading your pc.

Gamers look elsewhere
If your looking to be or are a professional gamer, stick with zowie monitors, this monitor has no way of motion blur reduction and without it the 360hz makes little to no difference in quality compared to 240. I have used 540hz monitors in the past and they blow away this one for obvious reasons and it’s not just the hz alone that matters. Colors are nice but I would recommend that you look elsewhere if you are looking to be the best of the best.

Alienware Command Center software is only for Alienware Brand PC’s.
Went through all types of hell trying to get this monitor working in a dual monitor setup with a Gigabyte monitor. Flashed with current firmware. After talking with customer support discovered the Alienware command center only works with alienware brand PC’s. Once removed my PC screens stabilized. No more flckering and unsyncing.

…
The monitor itself worked as intended… until it didn’t. After less than a month of use it suddenly stopped working (as if it got hit by something, screen went all crazy on me) it was probably handled a bit too rough by delivery.I was watching a YT video on my second monitor at the time, so at first I thought my GPU might’ve been the problem… not the case.Other than that, the monitor was good. I’d recommend it and hope you don’t end up having the same issue I did.If you’re ordering this from outside the U.S I’d suggest going for another option. The return delivery was almost half the price of the monitor, so I’d go for something a bit more reliable.

would be 5/5 but…
this monitor is fabulous like amazingly smooth and if you playing fps, this is the top of the line currently. The only problem that makes the product bad or suck or a 4/5 is the fact that there is alienware bloatware…Yup you heard that right. I dont understand why or how alienware managed to make it so that itll install alienware software on your pc.I have no alienware products (other than this monitor) and after using the monitor, theres alienware software on my pc. 4/5 because i know they sleezeballs when it comes to bloatware and poopy prebuilt pc’s, but oh my… to go as far as include a auto download after a couple of hours of using the monitor is ridiculous.overall tho, i like the features and easy navigation of the monitor, great for fps and fast refresh rate games

Amazing while it lasts
The media could not be loaded.
After two weeks of daily use for work and gaming I had an issue with image retention. During my work I left my laptop unused for a moment while I was checking something personal, maybe for an hour or so and it should be noted that I have a dark wallpaper, I don’t use maximum brightness and I use night eye protection. However, when I returned I changed the source to use my PS5 when the problem happened. I ran the Self-Diagnostic function where the image burn can be seen and I had to leave the monitor running the LCD conditioning option for hours so that the image burn could be removed. The problem was solved but there is almost no assurance that this will not happen again. I wanted to homologate the brand in my setup but the quality of this monitor was very disappointing.

Who knew?!?
I’ve had many a gaming PC but what I’ve never done is pair them with a high end gaming monitor. I am rather taken aback by the difference in the colors. I have played World of Warcraft for like 19 years now and just never knew what it looked like. The color difference is night and day.

Does its job.
I think it is a great a second monitor. I am using it for both gaming and work. It does a great job with both. It is bigger than other monitors, but it is great. I love the picture and video quality, especially when I am playing 1440p or 4k. It looks fairly okay with 1080p.I would be careful buying them if my system could only support 1080p, because it does not look as crispy with a 1080p.

Very sensitive to static which makes the screen go black for 1-2 seconds.
Overall, great monitor except for the 1-2 second black screens which seem to be static discharge related. If you get up from the desk or move around and touch the desk, it will go out.
