I LOVE this keyboard
I’ve been on the hunt for about a year to find a keyboard that I actually liked. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars and been disappointed, even bought a custom built one. I got this on a prime deal and said what the heck, I’m so glad I bought it, I love it so much.

Great Keyboard
This keyboard is very cool. The keys are responsive and not too loud. These are the optical red keys. I do not like the loud clicky ones. The colors are great on here and highly customizable. The only downside is the software. The software would not load properly on a consistent basis. I had to find and install one of the older versions to get it to behave. This is a known issue and still not repaired but there is a workaround as I mentioned. Beyond that, it is a quality piece of hardware!

Great Keyboard
This keyboard is amazing. From the feels, to the functionality, I have no complaints. The RGB effects on it look flush and smoother than a lot of keyboards i’ve seen. 5/5 from me.

Nice key feel.
While I’m sure it’s just me not knowing the keyboard, I can’t get the volume wheel to work right. It’s either at 0% or 100% – nothing in between. Other than that I love the keyboard. Have it connected to an Anker 10P USB-A hub connected to my Alienware M15 on W11. responsive and nice to type on.

Too sensitive
The keys are WAY too sensitive. If you barely brush a key it presses it. Not good for competitive games where your nerves are causing you to not be 100% accurate at all times.

Great RGB Low Profile Keyboard
The Alienware 510K is a gorgeous low-profile, fast-actuating rgb keyboard. If that’s what you’re looking for, than I’d say it’s a safe bet you’ll almost surely be happy with. It’s only real drawbacks are basically the ones you’d expect from Alienware, software and price.Pros:Beautiful RGBExcellent feel and speedy linear keysQuiet yet responsiveGreat media controlsUSB passthrough works wellQuality hardware. The keys feel great, the cable is thick and durable, well packaged, and just holding this keyboard in your hands feels solidCons:Price.Alienware Software. You have to use the latest Alienware Command Center. Now, if you are already using this for something else, the desktop, a mouse or what not, then this is a moot point mostly. But installing another, somewhat clunky software to customize the RGB and Macros is undesirable and it could benefit from from work.RGB profiles are still just a bit limited. The best example I can think of is that the Rainbow wave that makes this keyboard so beautiful is great, but for any serious long term use would want it to be slowed down, at the least, and right now the speed only goes so moderately low. So the software is a bit bulky, needs a little work, is sometimes clunky to customize manually and switch between profiles. But, it all seems to work well so far, and firmware updating was just an easy button press.Update: After a month of using this keyboard, I’d say the quality still impresses me, and to be fair, it’s still cheaper than Logitech’s comparable keyboard. The rubber feet on the back risers works great. What’s not nice is that they’ve updated the Alienware Command Center, and still, unless you’re using it for other things too, it can barely get the job done apart from choosing backlighting presets. Compared to almost every other keyboard, it majorly lacks preset color themes, ability to create your own themes, adjust speed. Software updates came and went and this hasn’t changed, which leaves me to assume Alienware has washed their hands of it already.I’m going to downgrade this to a 4 star for now, purely for the software, and hopefully they’ll fix this.

Sensual Typing Experience
So far I’m very happy with this keyboard. I first purchased another, compact rgb keyboard but I didn’t realize how heavily I rely on the number pad. Doh!I’m not a gamer but I bought an Alienware laptop for graphic work. This keyboard integrates seamlessly with the pre-installed command center so that was not an issue for me.The keyboard is SO much quieter than the other mechanical keyboard. It has such a soft, pleasant, tactile stroke, I almost wish for more work. I’m hoping for a type heavy project soon!On my desk, it sits behind my Wacom and the one doesn’t interfere with the other (but then I’ve been doing this for so many years, I may be subconsciously adjusting my hands). My work area is pretty dark so I’m grateful for the rgb lighting. It was easy to program- and I only change the color of the number keys from everything else.BIG CON: it has two (2) usb plugs!! It’s the only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5. Fortunately, I’ve just bought a good dock that supports 3 USB ports. The alienware m15 has 3 USB ports (I think), but I like my station to be portable without too much plugging and unplugging. Since I leave the keyboard (and big Wacom and big external monitor) at home, the docker is a saving grace.EDIT: changing to 5 stars. I didn’t realize there is an additional USB port on the keyboard and that is the reason for the additional plug. Love this! And I like Alienware. I’ve been using dell products for 15 years and I’m happy I discovered this in their lineup.

Logitech G915 alternative
I had only used normal keyboards and my brothers Steelseries Cherry Red switch keyboard before this. It is very quiet when compared to the Steelseries, which I absolutely love, and it is thinner in person. The pictures don’t really show how thin it is, and it was a concern I had before I got it in hand. I used it for some CS:GO to test it out and 2 things were very clear: 1. These switch get triggered Very easily, even a little tap gets recognized 2. It is so comfortable to use. The switches are jarring at first but I adjusted quickly, and please don’t use the feet because it is perfect laying flat. If you want a low profile keyboard but don’t want to spend 210+ on the Logictech offerings go with this. It’s still more than most should be willing to spend on a keyboard but for what I wanted it is perfect

Alienware Aurora R13 – upgrade keyboard !
The media could not be loaded.
I recently purchased an Alienware Aurora R13 from MicroCenter in Tustin,CA for a sweet price ! It came with a basic dell keyboard and mouse , which was nice add on. After hooking everything up the keyboard and mouse seemed out of place so I had to get this Alienware keyboard. One of the best upgrades I made so far !!! The RGB has a lot of cool features that I did not expect. The quality of the keyboard is amazing. The volume scroll wheel is a nice touch too. Alienware for the win !

Love this keyboard!
Wow, this keyboard is awesome! It looks really cool and works really well, too. I am not a gamer. I recently started working from home and was looking for a cool keyboard. I didn’t know anything about RGB keyboards. I also purchased the Motospeed K82 (pink) and Razer BlackWidow V3 in Quartz. This Alienware keyboard is my favorite out of all 3!! It rocks!!! The Colors are great on it. I was very disappointed with the Razer as the rainbow wave is no where near as nice as Alienware. I will have to Upload pictures later. I also love how quiet the keys are on my Alienware… no complaints from customers that they can hear that keyboard. Very smooth typing experience. I am so happy with my purchase.

why does it use 2 USB ports??????
I bought this keyboard because I’ve recently gotten back into gaming. There are no complaints about the keyboard itself so far. I find it very comfortable to type with/game with. The volume roller is super handy. The keys have a satisfying feel to them when pressed, they are spaced out comfortably and have a comfortable amount of travel. They don’t sit too high like standard mechanical keys do ( in my opinion)My only complaint is that they use 2 USB ports. The new alienware laptops only come with 3 ports. So now you’re down to 1 if you’ve got this keyboard. What about a mouse, external drive, charging cable for your phone or whatever! In it’s defense, I do have to say the build quality is awesome on the cord and the keyboard itself.

Really good keyboard for the price. Will buy another for backup
Keys are wider and flatter than usual “gaming mechanical keyboards”. Going to take a few days to get used to, ex: you might “fat finger” a few times an hour lol.Keyboard CAN change color. I choose to keep mine solid green. Caps lock and other keys light up bright white by default, regardless of your choice of color.

Can’t beat for the price
Bought this because my gf had that loud mechanical keyboard. Loved that this lit up like her other one and was also a full keyboard, while hers was like a quarter one or something. Seems great and the keys are much quieter thank goodness.

Better than the Logitech G815
I used to use the Logitech G815 and that was my main keyboard for 2 years. I experimented around with some ducky keyboards but I ended up hating them all. This keyboard however, exceeds my expectations. I was already used to the low profile switches and the super sensitive travel so everything was already easy for me. The thing that sets the AW510k from the Logitech is the switches. Logitech uses their own switches while AW uses Cherry Reds and I think they are superior in terms for feel and sound in my opinion. This keyboard is a lot more compact and also doesn’t have any redundant features while still remaining full sized. The build quality is super clean and I wasn’t expecting much from the RGB but it blew me away as well. The only thing that I hate on this board is the volume wheel on the top right, when you roll it, it makes this weird clicking sound and has feedback to it while the Logitech’s was very smooth but I bet I would just get used to it anyways.Overall this is going to be my go-to keyboard for the next couple of years and if they ever release a new model that has similar features, I’d probably upgrade.

I am super happy with the keyboard. It is super responsive, and the RGB is bright and super customizable(especially if you’re already gaming on an Alienware pc.) It is definitely the nicest keyboard I have owned, and I have owned razer, corsair, and Logitech products.

Love it!! Good transition away from membrane keys
I’ve always gamed on my Alienware laptop using its built-in keyboard and a wired mouse, so I’m used to membrane keys. I bought a regular gaming mechanical keyboard and the throw of the keys felt waaaaaaayyy too long. I couldn’t type on it either, I kept fumbling around the keys. I replaced that keyboard with this one, because of the short throw keys (and it looks cool and matches my laptop) and I love it!!! The volume scroll is a must in my opinion, and the lights are really fun. My only gripe is that I wish it had those programmable keys on the left side of the keyboard that my laptop keyboard has. Feels super sturdy and it looks like you could jump start a car with the wire (it’s thick). I would recommend this to someone that’s used to gaming/typing on laptop keys or similar and is wanting to get into mechanical keyboards.

Long battery life. Great build quality
Both the most expensive keyboard I’ve had, but also does work the best. Lightly pressed keystrokes are silent or close to it. Spirited typing is a bit loud. Some people enjoy the loudness during fast typing and I am one of them. I did notice and I do like that the keystrokes are recorded before the keys bottom out. Even though the keystrokes have a long travel, the keys don’t need to bottom out to function. After several months of vigorously gaming with it I haven’t broken any keycaps as I have with other Alienware keyboards. Lightning is vibrant and all features work as advertised. Works well/as advertised with Alienware FX and Macro software features.

Seems decent
Think the price is higher then it should be. Also an 800MB download to control the keyboard backlighting seems a bit excessive, have too install the full Alienware Command Center. You may be able to remove it once you have it setup how you like.Fairly quiet keystrokes, nice click, soft touch but not as loud as my last keyboard. Keyboard angle is a bit strange but is ok with the legs to raise the back side. I find the keys slightly closer together then I prefer, sometimes I’m hitting two keys simultaneously, sure I will improve with practice on it.

Very Solid Keyboard
I got this keyboard (white version) on prime day so I got it for 20ish percent off and figured I’d give it a shot. And this is hands down the best keyboard I’ve owned from its feel, sound and look. And if you are looking for a great gaming keyboard pick this one up. If you have an Alienware build already as I do, it does a great job syncing up colors. 10/10 would buy again!

Very nice keyboard
I have 2 issues with this keyboard. The software is… not great and needs a better layout. The volume roller is pretty awful. It has stops that are barely there but you can tell, however the stop skips 2 levels not one. The keyboard should have keys, not a roller OR add better controls to your software.

Excellent Keyboard
I love the feel of the keys beneath my fingers. The tactile feeling of clicking the keys is so satisfying. But my fingertips are average size, but I suspect even someone with large hands will love it as well. This is an excellent keyboard for the price. Very cool look and matches my other Alienware products. I have other more expensive keyboards that don’t work as well. There is some noise when typing fast but nothing disturbing. It’s a very pleasing sound. But you can even use soft strokes, and the response with very light pressure is fantastic. As a penetration tester (ethical hacker), lights are excellent, but functionality is everything.

It’s extremely quiet which was why I chose this keyboard. I Don’t want to wake my partner when gaming or distract anyone who could hear keys clacking. This keyboard is clean looking, smooth to the touch, Quiet and has fast input. The value for money is insane.5/5

Very Responsive
I like the feel of the key strokes and how responsive they are. The build quality of the keyboard is quite nice with little to no flex. The RGB is bright and programmable per key which is nice especially when setting it up for games so you can program groups of keys according to their use. The only thing that I would find nice instead of the volume control is if there was a dedicated power button on the keyboard itself the would work with an Alienware computer or just universal.

Awesome keyboard!!! Firmware can be buggy sometimes.
This keyboard is amazing! The keys feel great, colors and brightness are perfect. The keyboard communicates with a firmware interface in the background to control the lights. However sometimes I’ve ran into a problem where I change the ports it’s plugged into and the lights will flicker, go through all the colors, and restart. Not a big deal but you also cannot type during this. Maybe a firmware update will resolve in the future.

Great keyboard
I use this keyboard for work as an alternative to using my laptop keyboard and the quality is excellent. It’s very easy to type on and the software allows you to customize key colors, macros, and game settings. On my laptop it detected 55 games that I have and allowed me to launch those games from the Alienware interface. On thing I don’t understand yet is that the “FN” key on my laptop keyboard doesn’t behave the same way on this keyboard, so I’ll have to figure that out.

Cheap plastic feel, shame for the price
For the price, I’m very shocked at just how cheap this keyboard feels. The plastic is lightweight and not confidence inspiring in any way. On the flipside, it has a ridiculously thick USB cord that is actually more problematic than helpful in that it’s not particularly flexible. Typing on the keyboard takes a little getting used to but definitely lives up to the expectations of the Cherry MX keyswitches. Clearly that’s what you’re paying for with this keyboard. One last note, while it feels rather keep as well, the volume control does work well and is a very handy feature.

material is just standard plastic and gets dirty insanely easily. volume control can be difficult to reach but ultimately it is a great keyboard and easy to use, very nice looking. and keys can be removed easily by hand to clean under and go stable back on, the volume key on mine is loose for some reason though but no matter.

Keyboard is great, Alienware software is garbage
I love this keyboard. I love the low profile keys. I love how the keyboard performs. The Alienware software is another story though. If you want to be able to use all the customization options they claim to have through their software, look elsewhere. The software just doesn’t work. I have installed and reinstalled the software and the customization part simply doesn’t do anything. I can see al l the options to change color, etc, but nothing works. In today’s world, a program like this isn’t all that advanced and you’d think they could develop one that works properly. I guess Alienware just doesn’t care enough to invest in their own product, which is unfortunate because the keyboard hardware is great.

great keyboard, cheaper than the competition
I went through 6 keyboards before I settled with this. I wish the volume dial was more like the Logitech but that is my only complaint. well, that and I wish it was wireless but hands down the best one I could find for under $200. and the fact that it’s cheaper than the Logitech or razor that I tried makes it even a better value.

Floating keys allow to much light
Great keyboard. Works very well. I love how fast the actuation and response is. The lighting is spot on. The only issue I have is I have to raise my monitor because the floating key style allows a large amount of light to be emitted from under the key caps and put a glow on my monitor.
