    Hot!

Overall, the chair does what it should. Comfort is decent. The reclining function feels a bit flimsy but it works. My main gripe is the material of the chair. It took me a bit to figure out but eventually I realized why I got so hot from sitting in the chair. After sitting down playing my video game for periods as short as 30 minutes, I found myself sweating. Eventually, I bought a seat cushion and pillow that improved airflow and helped me keep cool.

THE office chair for long hours

I recently fractured my back and was looking for a chair that would provide adequate support and gave me the ability to sit comfortably for extended hours while studying at my desk. The Dowinx Gaming Chair is as comfortable as the pictures show and I LOVE the retractable footrest. The reclining feature and the vibrating lumbar support have really helped my back and have allowed me to position myself as necessary to provide relief. The chair did not come assembled but was very easy to put together in less than hour.

    One of my best purchases

I’ve been using this chair for over 6 years now and it has never let me down. I spend a lot of time at my desk doing work and I find it important to have a chair that supports me and feels comfortable and clean. This chair fits all of these, and I never notice any discomfort while I’m using it. I do not recline in it much but it is available. The color is great and hasn’t faded, and it wasn’t very difficult to build.

    My son loves it!

The chair was easy to put to together. My son was able to do it by himself. He loves it! It’s very comfortable and he loves that it reclines! It was a great bday present!

Great chair with lots of adjustments and options but for small butts.

Love the chair, the look, and all the adjustments but the seat section has bars on the sides that dig into my hips and hurt after a short time. If I keep my legs together I can avoid the bars digging into my hips, but that is not how I sit naturally. I am 6’1″ but I am skinny and I don’t have a huge rear end. This chair is great for small frames, but for bigger framed people, it digs into your hips. Also, the extension to put your legs on is too low and does not help much. Lastly, I like to lean back using the spring (rocking chair) function of an office chair. This one is mounted too far forward and unless you have your feet up on something, or it lowered all the way, it does not lean back for you. Great looking chair, and if I can figure out the hip discomfort, I may give it a five star.

    Comfortable, easy assembly, great features

Cliff notes: Great chair with lots of adjustability, excellent material choices, and a suite of comfort options without breaking the bank. But, locked arm rests that are way too high for even an average sized adult and the squeaks as you sit down and get up leave me at 4 out of 5 stars.Having only had standard office chairs for my desk, I was in search of a chair that offered more support and adjustability. I read many reviews of the Dowinx chairs and ultimately settled on this model as it had a fully adjustable recline feature with locking at multiple angles, not just all-the-way-back or nothing like office chairs. I’ve used the chair for just under 2 months now and can say the comfort is on point. The adjustable lumbar pillow is great, and although I don’t use the neck pillow with my posture, it is very comfortable when reclined flat.Cons: The arm rests are a little high to use with a controller in your hands unless you want your controller blocking your monitor. This is mostly due to the arm rests being locked to the seat back. This is a con for sure as I’d like to be able to adjust the height of the arm rests like a normal office chair. This chair squeaks. A lot. Really only when you sit down or get up, but it’s loud and annoying. In the end, I’d get it again, but certainly not at full retail price.

    Perfect for plus size

I got this gaming chair for my husband, and he loves it! It was easy to put together, and it’s really comfortable. Now he can game for hours without any discomfort. Great quality and definitely worth the purchase!

    Beautiful and comfortable gaming chair

This was very easy to set up and build. It’s very comfortable for gaming with the padding, reclining, and support for my head and back. For the price it is a good gaming chair and has good value.

    Size

I have been using this chair now for going on 10 months and Id have to say its the most comfortable pc chair I’ve come to know. I’m 6’2″ and its still a little big, enough so that my 3 year old can sit too. The only downfall I have is that the foot rest could be a little longer but even the length it is it still works well. 10/10 would recommend

    Great chair — no regrets

I’m a gamer, but I bought this chair for my home office, not for gaming. (I have a sofa for that). My wife and I moved into a new home two years ago, and I intentionally went very cheap on office furniture at first because it wasn’t a priority. For the past couple of years I had been using a $50 office chair that I picked up from Costco — I think it may have been banned in Mexico which is why it was so cheap in the US. Small, rickety, and generally uncomfortable, but hey I could sit in it and work on my computer so whatever. Needless to say I regretted this decision when my company went to “work from home” this spring. Finally I decided to replace it with a legit chair. After a little research, I settled on the Dowinx and boy was this a good choice.Assembly was very easy and took me probably 30 minutes by myself. Ironically I assembled the chair while I was in a Zoom meeting with my camera turned off.The chair itself is pretty stable with just a slight wobble where the seat connects to the lift cannister, pretty much like every other office chair I’ve ever had. Otherwise everything about it is perfect. The back is nice and firm without being too firm. The headrest is there if I want it, but it’s not intrusive. The seat is comfortable but not overly soft. Overall, I would describe the level of cushioning as minimalist, which is exactly what I prefer. For context, I am 6’2″ and 165 lbs. This chair fits me very well. The armrests are just the right width apart. The seat is slightly wider than what I need, but it’s fine. The back feels like it fits my contours perfectly. In an ideal world, the leg-rest would be about 6-12 inches longer, but then it would probably have stability problems. As it is, the footrest is okay. I did not buy this chair to be a living room recliner, and the footrest is perfectly functional considering how you’re likely to use this. I will add that the chair feels quite stable when I recline and stretch out with the foot-rest extended. The faux leather looks nice and sets this chair apart from other gaming chairs in the looks department. It’s not going to look as sophisticated as a full grain leather executive chair, but it’s gaming chair so why would you expect otherwise. What I appreciate is that the color I chose (grey) doesn’t have anything loud or ostentatious. I feel like I’m getting the comfort of a racing-style chair while still maintaining a reasonably professional look.My only word of warning is that this chair is probably not a good choice if you are in the “big and tall” category. If I were any taller, the foot-rest would be useless. This chair can definitely handle people wider than me, but if you’re worried about width then this is probably not the chair for you. Otherwise is it great.

Overall good chair. Better than what I was actually expecting.

This is one of the more expensive “gaming chairs”, not the most expensive, but you can find some for about half the price. If you get it on sale, I would recommend it. Overall it is a very comfortable chair to sit in for a few hours of gaming. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that there are some areas with room for improvement: I like the footrest idea, but unless you are shorter than 5’6″, it really is not a great design. I am 6′ tall, and the footrest ends up at about mid-calf range, which is not the most comfortable, I still end up needing something to rest my feet on. The armrests could be a little wider, with a little more cushion, maybe a little more ergonomically designed for the gamer, especially if you’re gaming with a controller. I do however like the idea of the hinge aspect of the armrests, so they move back with you when you recline. Another thing I noticed (mostly due to my height again), is the neck/head pillow height. I find when I am sitting in the chair, that pillow actually ends up at my shoulders, and I can adjust it to where I need it, but as soon as I move it falls back to it’s normal resting place, and I have to readjust every time I sit back down, so a nice improvement would be to see multiple slots for mounting that to accommodate a wider range of gamers more comfortably. The vibrating lumbar support cushion is a nice touch, it can help a little bit if you’re getting some tension in your lower back, but it produces quite a loud buzzing sound, so often I don’t use it, because it’s just too distracting. The seat cushion is my favorite part of the chair, it’s actually very nice and easy to sit on for long periods. The seat always tends to be the problem part of a chair for me, it’s hard to find one comfortable for me to spend any time in without soreness. The long flat cushion spreads out your weight nicely, so there are no pressure points like your tailbone or in your thighs that end up hurting due to excessive pressure on that area. So, all in all, it’s a decent mid range gaming chair, room for improvement definitely, particularly if you’re an above average height gamer, but mostly a good solid chair, that is worth the money if you can get it for less than full price.

    It’s a great chair

I got this chair for my son’s birthday and he is loving it. The build is solid but not bulky or overly heavy. The style is great with a sleek and quality look to match. Being able to let the chair rock or to fix the back into a locked upright position is easy and adds to the comfort. My son spends a lot of his free time gaming but loves the chair for doing everything from gaming to homework at his desk, so it has worked out for all of his desk chair needs. He does like to lay back and rest on it with the foot extension too, so that’s a great feature. The one issue I had was with the lumbar cushion that came with permanent imprints in it due to packaging that looks to have shifted in shipment. The cushion essentially had permanent noticeable dents in it from sitting in the box with the chair parts pressing on it. I contacted the seller and they sent me a new cushion very quickly and in time to have it for the birthday. That’s unusual in this day, so I have to call out this Great customer service! Thank you for a great chair for the price.

Very comfortable, sleek but the wheel legs are hard to put together

The media could not be loaded.

This is a lovely chair. I really like the vibrating back massage. I have lower back pain after being in the military and the support is fantastic. I love the way the chair looks. It’s sleek, soft and build very well. I didn’t like the wheel assembly. That was incredibly hard to put together and you need some strength to get it together. The packaging of the chair was great and very small but overall 10/10 chair very comfortable and almost fell asleep. The back massager does need plugged in. Overall love it.Pros for me: sleek, comfortable, adjustable and just over all incredible chair. Helps my pain from the military and it feels like a good spot to sleepCons for me: slightly difficult to put together. And had a bit of reading so pay attention.Thank you guys for giving me something I can be comfortable in and help me with the lower back pain when I work a lot from home

Horrible customer service ** UPDATE – CUSTOMER SERVICE IMPROVED

**UPDATE 4-13-2022**So, first off, I still feel everything I said before is potentially valid. So I am not going to delete those comments. However … this company has completely blown me away and has gone above and beyond what I could have expected. They emailed me this week. I almost deleted the email, totally forgetting the companies name of this chair. However, I am glad I did not! When I read the email, I can tell it was not someone with a native English speaker. Then I read a little deeper, and they were talking about a review of a chair. Wait, the chair I am sitting in RIGHT NOW! (is what I thought, as I was taking a break doing home work – early morning, like around 6am) So, already i was tired. So I replied, expecting them to offer a part – something I am not really able to do. Part of the problem. I fully expected them not really to do anything. But then I get a reply. Within the same day. Around 11PM at night – again, I am trying to cram in my home work and I heard outlook on my phone. I looked at it, thinking it was a grade coming in and indeed it was not. It was Dowinx, telling me if I still had the problem – even though it is out of warranty – they will re-issue a brand new chair, to make it easier to fix so I don’t have to take the cylinder apart. You read that right – A BRAND NEW CHAIR. Like, literally, this is like a story I would make up to show what good customer service is.So yes. I am sure the chair color will fade. They are mailing the same color, so i can’t speak with the darker colors. Still recommend getting a darker color so it doesn’t fade in with your blue jeans or whatever color pants you wear. But, other then that, this chair is comfortable. My kids love it, and I sit in day in and day out doing home work and working from home. Other then the one part that is broken – and now being replaced – all is well.**UPDATE 7-20-2022***Almost a month, and no replacement has been sent. Worst customer service. Clearly, English isn’t their first language. They want me to take the base apart and take out the gas cylinder. I’ve told them I can’t do that. Especially before I get a replacement part because I need my chair for work. Then they mentioned they can send the base. I told them that would work and now they are sending the same email from the start asking me if I can take it apart. I’m changing my review to one star.**UPDATE 6-21-2021**So the chair seems to going down by itself instead of staying up. I am contacting warranty to see how they handle this problem. I will update to see what they say.**I will try to keep my review updated. I wanted to give my first impressions. So far, it is a great chair! It is comfortable, although it might need to break in a little on the sides since I am a bigger guy and the sides push in to me a little. It’s not too concerning – but something to understand. In my next update I’ll let you know if it creates a big issue. (for notes: I am like 340 pounds).I really like the white. I also like the PU Leather. It feels nicer then any leather I have felt on a chair or even a car (I have owned several cars with leather seats, including Buicks). And i like this feel better. What makes this chair great is the back support. My old chair was a freebie from my work but its falling apart. And very uncomfortable and when I lean back it feels like it will break. Not at all how this new chair feels. Supports me and my back.I don’t feel that this leather will bleed into other fabrics. Something I was worried about. I did buy some Armor All leather wipes – that works for both real and faux leather like this – to keep it clean, especially since my three boys will be using this. I also sit in my office 10 hours sometimes 12 hours a day for my work. So I need something sturdy, to support my back. But I also need something easy to clean since my office is also my kids computer room.**UPDATE APRIL 17th, 2021**So the chair has broken in, and is more comfortable. Sometimes it still digs into my thighs, but for the most part it is holding up as promised. The white leather however does bleed and the color has changed a little. It’s not horrible, but it is something to keep in mind if that type of thing bothers you.

    Awesome Chair

Bought this chair In the color beige. I would say putting it together took me overall an hour by myself. I would recommend having a second person to help putting the back piece on as it was a bit difficult. Overall, material is sturdy, instructions were blunt, and the chair is very comfy. Chair lays all the way back, and the foot rest is nice to pull all the way out. I would say the only downside is these random dark colored dots on the cushions, not sure what that’s from but I’m not picky. I would recommend, perfect for gaming, helps you sit up straight.

    NOT A BAD CHAIR, BUT…

Okay, So we all want excellent quality, excellent design and good value for the money. So, that said, here’s my review:Overall, it’s not bad chair; but, let’s drill-down, shall we?i read a lot of reviews on this (Dowinx Gaming Chair) chair and I watched several video’s. First off, the seat padding is way too firm. Yes, it’s fairly thick; but that doesn’t mean didely. I’ve had products with 4-5″ foam that were “hard-as-a-rock”… And some of the YouTube video reviews are saying that the chair is like ‘Motorcycle’ seats… Well, the armrests are, but the seat and back are not. I’m a rider (M1). I know exactly what a motorcycle seat is like to sit on, etc… I would say the armrests are like motorcycle, but nothing else… Bottom-line – this sucker hurts my butt after about an hour… Solution below…The Fo-leather/fabric is very good. No problem with that. I bought the ‘Red’ version, by the way. Quite classy. It’s actually a ‘muted’ red. Not over the top, you know what I mean…The spring is pretty standard… (by the way, I’m a Software Engineer/Consultant – 30+ years; so I know my chairs! I’ve sat in the most expensive (Herman Miller’s) – least expensive for thousands of hours, right?).No prob. with the spring. Although, I wouldn’t mind if they added a little more backward motion…Assembly, was not great. It took me over an hour… Could be a lot better… Lot’s of room for improvement here. All parts were present and accounted for (and, we even had a few extra; that’s very cool.). The main problem I had with assembly was with the backrest and getting the larger screws started in holes that you cannot see/covered with fabric. It would be nice if the manufacturer would modify the design such that those screws for the backrest just fit like butter; maybe in a special tube-like structure…Adjustability is very good. That’s the main reason I’m keeping this chair. Second is price. Comfort – I would probably return it (My butt hurts after about an hour… But, I have a solution…).Armrests are surprisingly very good! They are not ‘adjustable’, like many chairs. But, they are pre-adjustedvery well and they ’tilt/move’ with the backrest, when you recline back. And the padding is very good on the armrests. No problem with that… No problems with the position of the armrests either… The engineer that designed the armrests deserves nice Christmas-bonus for that… Hopefully, it’s not the same engineer that sourced-out the seat padding… If it is, we may have to re-train him/her…The neck pad is pretty good as far as comfort and I do keep it on the chair. But I don’t like way they engineered it. The way it clips on and the strap. It would be nice if they designed a better way. The lumbar cushion is terrible. I don’t use it. It hurts my lower back. It’s very uncomfortable. Luckily, it’s removable… But, even Herman-Miller has lousy lumbar support. So, I expected this. Some folks may like it. But for me and my sensitive lower-back, it is way too firm and not adjustable enough. It sits in my closet…Wheels are fine. The star-support that the wheels connect into is very robust. No problems there, at all.Boy am I picky about my chairs, huh? Well, that’s because I spent over 30 years sitting on my butt, working in offices! It’s got a little bit of a ‘creaking’ sound when you lean back and forth… Pretty normal. But, I think a little WD-40 will cure that… So, no real problem there…The reclining backrest is awesome! You can recline all the way back flat, which I don’t really need to do. But, I like the range of the recline on this chair, very much… I do recline back and there is no limit, from my point-of-view…The gas-shock goes up and down at fairly standard heights. No problem there.Oh, so, my solution to the hard padding on the seat is: I bought a nice comfy seat-pillow, which I’ve used before on other chairs… They work well. Nice and cushy/comfortable for the rear-end…Shipping was very screwed up. It shipped from my state, which should only take 2 days max… FedEx is really having a hard time keeping up with the volume of their packages right now… Somewhat due to the pandemic… The chair was way overdue… Like 10 days overdue… Avoid FedEx-ground, if you can! At least, right now (Sept. 2021)…I’ll update, if think of anything else major that needs to be said about this chair…

So far, very comfortable chair after a few assembly bumps

I had a bumpy start putting it together. First off, the base came in pieces as the written instructions said. I couldn’t seem to get the pieces to snap in so I checked the video from the written instructions via a QR code. The video showed the base all as one piece. I emailed support (only way to reach them) and they responded 13 hours later at 3:45am. By then, I had pretty much figured it out. They emailed me a new video. THIS one said to put in the first piece of the base arms part way, then the rest of them, then turn it over and push down. So hopefully I didn’t break anything not doing it that way. The second part that gave me trouble was the back. There is no way I, a retired senior, could have put that together myself. It required four hands. After screwing on one side, it took all our strength to pull the back to the second metal piece and get the screws in. My husband is pretty strong but we struggled with it. But it did go together as instructed. The last issue was the rocking motion. The instructions didn’t mention it but the ad did. I couldn’t find a video on it. The chair wouldn’t rock at all even when I pulled out on the level that had markings indicating it would enable rocking. I emailed support again and this time it took 12 hours to get a response. They sent me yet another video and said the rocking instructions were near the end. They also said”Pull out the lever to enable rockingPush the lever to disable this functionTurn the knob clockwise: reduce the resistance of the lock functionTurn the knob counterclockwise: increase the resistance value of the lock function”The wording could have been better. The video was useless. But common sense said to turn the knob clockwise to allow rocking. That did it. It all works as advertised. One BIG surprise was the footstool. I figured I’d never use it. The chair is being used at my desk mostly while gaming. I like to sit lotus in my chair and while the sides of the bottom cushion come up making it slightly uncomfortable, I figure that’s my problem because of how I like to sit. When my legs got tired yesterday, I unfolded the footstool to see how that was. Oh my. Very comfortable and I will be using it a lot more. The chair itself feels like it was made for my body. The back support is perfect for my back which has degenerative osteoarthritis. The chair arms are a tiny bit high making it hard to use them and type. But maybe it’s because I’m 5’4″.The only reason I gave this 4 stars was due to inaccurate and incomplete instructions and the time lag on getting help. I realize it is made in China but they really should have 24/7 support so people don’t have to wait 12+ hours to get help. Especially when the instructive videos are wrong. My guess is the chair varies within the same model.

    Not just for gaming

First of all, this chair is wonderful to look at. I have the light gray. I don’t love that the company’s brand/logo is on the chair, but the light gray unit hides it fairly well. There’s a wonderful feel to all of the materials, including the faux leather. Only time will tell how wear-resistant this faux leather is, but it feels well made.I didn’t buy this chair for gaming, although I love gaming and I imagine this would be a good fit. I sit at my office computer all day and needed a new office chair. For whatever reason, gaming chairs are cheaper. This chair has a great look and is super comfortable, I can sit in it for hours at a time. To my surprise, the lumbar support cushion comes with a little vibration module in it, so you can lean back and get a back massage. This vibration requires a USB port, and it doesn’t seem to have an on/off switch, so you have to unplug it every time you want to turn it off. I wish the cable was longer, but it is easy to detach the cable and insert a longer one (that you provide). The foot rest that comes out feels a little unsure, as though you don’t really want to put any weight on it. (I took one star off for this, even though I never use the foot rest. It’s up to you as the buyer to think how important this is to you.)I love the recline and the rocking features, they feel very sturdy. The seat cushion is nice and thick, soft but also firm enough to support your weight. I would say that if you happen to be a very wide person, you might find the arm rests a little too narrow. I’m neither very wide nor very thin, so I find it to be just right. If I was a person with a 50+ inch waist band, I might find it a tight fit.Assembly took me about 2.5 hours, which seems a long time, but I’m the type who is always extra careful I’m doing things right. I reached a point where having a second person to hold items in place became necessary, and you probably will want a partner too. (It’s not absolutely necessary, but a big help.) I referred to the written instructions which were very small to read (for my old eyes) and found myself using the YouTube video as well. Neither instructions nor the video use a lot of language, as this is obviously designed for an international market. I used the instructions and the well-produced video at the same time to be sure I was doing everything right. The video is a huge help and a nice touch I wasn’t expecting. Search out the video and see if it suits your assembling style.I’ve been using the chair for about 2 weeks now and it feels like I need to go in with the Allen wrench (two differently sized wrenches are provided) and tighten things again. That’s a little annoying, but it’s not too big a deal, I guess, for the price. Perhaps I didn’t tighten enough while assembling just in case I made a mistake and need to start over. If nothing else, be sure you don’t throw your Allen wrenches away!In all, I have no hesitancy in recommending this chair very highly, given it’s price point. If I needed a second chair, I would probably get this one again (or even consider a higher-priced model, as this company has earned my trust). My recommendation would be even stronger if you don’t truly care about the foot rest. I find I can recline in this chair “just right” without needing to pull out the foot rest. But if a foot rest is absolutely essential to you, consider your options carefully.

    Great gaming chair!

It took me a little over 2 1/2 hours to put together. The back part was a little crooked but isn’t noticeable unless you know. Sitting in it there’s no difference. The material is great. The footrest is perfect for me. I’m roughly 5’9 and the end rests just past my calf. If your 6 foot or around there the footrest won’t work all that great for you. I used the back vibrator briefly and that works well. Overall, it’s a solid gaming chair and I don’t regret my purchase.

This is going to be a review that is a bit out of the ordinary, this is a review written at the time of me searching for a replacement for the product, not just after purchase. I bought this chair a few years ago as a birthday present to myself. I am a guy who likes game on his PC at home after a long day at work and the chair prior to this I had used until it essentially disentigrated. After some deliberation, I eventually decided on this chair. And for the first year and a bit, it was a good choice. It was comfortable, flexible and It reclined enough I could actually take naps in it on days off. unfortunately, almost 2 years into owning it, something snapped in it while I was sitting in it and it has gradually developed a lean to the right of about 10 degrees that has progressively worsend over time until today when it now has a 20 degree lean to the right that I have no idea on how to fix. I am definitely going to keep Downix in mind when I get a replacement, but I am going to keep all my options open.

    Satisfied!

The quality of workmanship seems very good, the stitching is very consistent and the fabric feels very soft to the touch, but not the kind of soft that gets hot, it seems very breathable to me. The colours are great too, very consistent. Even for people who change positions a lot. I really like the recline feature and I sit at my desk for 8 hours or more a day. So a comfortable chair is a must. This chair is perfect for my needs. The wheels roll freely! I am so happy with this chair!

A few weeks in and the chair is unfortunately not holding up already.

The media could not be loaded.

I always research any purchases that I intend on keeping for long periods of time. During my research I found this chair was highest rated amongst a few websites. Based on those reviews I ordered this chair for my home office. The chair’s instructions were clear and easy to follow when putting it together. I’m always mindful when tightening down bolts not to over tighten and just ensure the bolts are snug and tight. The first two weeks were fine and it appears the chair was as it was advertised. This morning I noticed the right armrest was loose and wiggling. I just figured a bolt was loose. I carefully removed the vinyl covers and found that the bolts were tight and not loose. Which indicates an internal anchor issue within the construction of the chair. I’m disappointed that in my third week the chair is already showing signs of issues with it’s quality. I have been given approval to return and the chair was shipped back 9/10/2024. Waiting on refund.Updated: The Dowinx company refunded my chair within 48 hours of the shipment being confirmed returned. The Customer Service Dept. reached out multiple times and even offered to send me a free chair of my choice and left that option open for me. I let them know that even though that was a generous offer I could never accept anything for free, it’s just something I can’t do. Of course I thanked them for the offer and politely declined. I’m still using my old chair which is still holding up very well without any issues and I suppose I’ll just keep the one I have. I mean no disrespect to Dowinx, They’ve been very kind and quick to resolve this matter. Unfortunately, I will likely not purchase another chair with their company.

The best office chair you can get for the money

Super comfortable and sturdy. Have fallen asleep reclined all the way back in this sucker several time. Just an all-around great chair for the value. Able to study better and put in more hours now that I am more comfortable. Assembly wasn’t too bad either. Highly recommended.

Nice gaming chair with a few issues (Updated 4-1-2023)

Update (4-1-2023):I just wanted to update this review to let people know that the company sent me a brand new chair to replace the broken one. I’m satisfied with their level of service. Although, I must say that the product should not have broken like that in less than 1 year. Time will tell how long the new one lasts but I doubt that the new one will be under any kind of warranty for replacement in the future…Updated Review (2-28-2023):I have now had this chair for around 8 months. The other day I noticed a “pop” sound coming from the seat. I took a look and it appears a piece has broken off which provides support to the right arm and some support for the seat cushion. The seat now feels more “wobbly” than before. I will contact the company to see if they will replace this broken part under warranty. I will update the review when I find out more.Original Review:I have had this chair now for around 5 weeks. It took approximately 1 hour to put the chair together. This chair is heavier than some of the cheaper “executive” chairs out there. Weighs like 30 to 40 lbs. Once it has been put together, the chair looks good and is comfortable.I went from a standard “executive” faux leather chair from an office store. The leather started peeling after a couple years and after 3 years the bottom plating bent and made it impossible to sit comfortably. The cushion was also pretty flat after 3 years. This gaming chair looks nice and is comfortable enough to sit in for hours at a time. The seat cushion is pretty firm but has enough give to it to prevent a sore bottom / numbness. Obviously, results will vary based on your size. I am a fairly large person at nearly 6 feet tall and 280 lbs.One of the issues I am having with this chair is that the arm rests have some wobble to them. I think I saw some other reviews mentioning this issue. I have taken the arm rests off and re-installed them a couple times and it is still not sturdy / solid. Also the cushions on the top of the arm rests are a bit firm. I tend to have my elbow digging into the arm rest as I sit at the computer so it can get uncomfortable at times. I may need to end up buying those slip on cushion covers to add more cushion to the arm rests.Other than that, this chair has been great so far. Time will tell if more problems pop up. The air pistons in these chairs tend to fail after a year or two, especially if you are heavier weight. If you can get the chair on sale for cheaper than 200, I’d recommend.

    Sit well: Transform Your Experience

Comfort and SupportThe RESPAWN 110 Ergonomic Gaming Chair has quickly become a staple in my gaming setup. It provides an incredible level of comfort, which is a must for long gaming sessions. The plush padding feels luxurious and ensures you remain comfortable, even during extended play.Backrest SupportOne of the standout features is the supportive backrest. It contours perfectly to my back, providing excellent support that helps reduce fatigue and maintain good posture. This is particularly beneficial during intense gaming moments when you must stay focused and alert. The Wobble FactorWhile the chair excels in comfort and support, it has a slight wobble. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s noticeable enough to mention. This could be a minor inconvenience for those who are very particular about stability. However, the overall quality and comfort of the chair offset this issue.Final ThoughtsIn conclusion, the RESPAWN 110 is a fantastic choice for gamers seeking comfort and support. The minor wobble is a small trade-off for the excellent cushioning and ergonomic design. This one is worth considering if you’re in the market for a gaming chair that enhances your gaming experience.

    Buy with confidence!

EDIT: I’m leaving my original review below however updating my title and rating with this update. The company reached out to me and asked if they could make it right and refund my purchase. I missed my return window and decided to live with my decision but they went WAY above and beyond with their customer service. They did NOT ask me to modify or delete my review in any way which is why I AM updating it. Shop with confidence, their customer service is exceptional!—————————-I am a 6′ tall male and when I sit on the seat, with my butt to the back of the seat, the bottom cushion runs from my butt to my calf and I can’t bend my legs. The only way to sit in this chair with my feet flat on the ground is to split my legs AROUND the base of the chair. It makes no sense. Why is the base of this chair so long? This thing was a PITA to put together so I’m not returning it but figured I’d at least write a review to protect others from making the same mistake.

    Better than expected

This chair kept popping up under suggested for me, and after some research, I decided this was the chair for me. I didn’t want to spend $500+ on a chair, but also didn’t want some cheapo one either. This splits the price difference between the cheapo ones, and the high end chairs.Assembly was easy, and everything fit together as needed. As for the build quality, everything feels solid. I’ve had it a few weeks, and there are no noises or squeaks, everything still fits together and feels solid. The fabric is nice and soft, kind of leather-ish almost. The stitching is cool, looks high end without feeling too flashy. The darker grey color of my chair works as a “gaming” chair, but also isn’t so flashy that it would look tacky on a zoom call with your board of directors. As for comfort, I took away the lumber pillow immediately. It was way too pronounced and arched my back in a bad way. I can see using it if you’re leaning forward typing, but if you’re reclined just a bit, in a relaxed gaming position I greatly prefer it without it. Luckily it’s easily removed. The neck pillow is squishy enough and comfortable too.As for everything else, ergonomically at first I didn’t love it.. I had been sued to slouching in a bad chair, so this at first felt too restrictive. I let myself sit INTO the chair though, and let the chair position me, and I fell in love with it. This is not a chair you have to shift around in to find the right spot. Put yourself in the chair, and let it position you. It supports you well and keeps you aligned. I look forward to sitting in it now.I’m 6’1″ and 235 lbs. I fit just fine. I will say the foot rest seems like it was made for smaller people. It doesn’t extend that far and with all the weight of your legs it does dip down a little. I will sometimes slide it out though and rest 1 leg on it, and seems to work fine for that. It’s not a feature I even needed though so it’s a non-issue for me. The chair is slightly more on the narrow side for someone my size, but even so I don’t feel restricted either.Overall, this is a great chair and I’m very happy.

    Stylish and comfortable!

This is my second chair from these guys. Same model different color. (The black is smooth.) I only had to buy a new one because I recently moved. Last model held up great with everyday use for about a year. Same kind of quality feel with the new purchase. 5/5 awesome chair. The reclining btw is actually very intuitive and comfortable especially with the legrest.

Broken beyond repair in less than 6 months

Updated: The company made it right. You can read below but the TL;DR is that the chair broke quickly. I emailed them and after a couple back and forths a new chair arrived at my door quickly. This one Doesn’t seem to be defective so I may have just got a bad one which I guess just happens. So I’m going to update my rating but still for the inconvenience of it I can’t give a full 5 stars but overall I’d say I had a positive experience with the company and chair. The chair was fine at first. Not exactly comfortable but after long periods of sitting I wouldn’t have any pain so I didn’t have many complaints. However less than 6 months later, the support ‘inside’ the chair body has snapped. I am guessing that’s from getting up out of the chair but I’m WELL under the supposed 350 pound limit so I’m guess it’s just a defect from shoddy, cheap materials. I reached out to support just before this review and will update this later depending on how much they stand behind their products.

    Premium Quality

Quality is the first thing I noticed taking this out of the box. It’s sturdily engineered, easy to assemble, and well-stitched. I love the grey-on-gold patterning which is super classy and stylish. It’s very ergonomic too, so if this chair fits you I don’t see how you could find a nicer piece.

    Great chair, recommended.

I’d recommend this chair, it’s comfortable and has several benefits such as the 4D armrests – which I personally love.It does take awhile to put together, makes noise when adjusting, and I’ve had to re-tighten the screws in the first 30 days. I’m also concerned about it’s durability but time will tell. I’ve always stuck with a $100 chair every 6mos considering I spend most of my time at my workstation and wanted something better and to last longer. With that said, it’s comfortable and still pretty straightforward to put together, it looks good and has lots of adjustment for position.

Not perfect but I’m happy with it.

Well I WAS super excited to get this chair (grey). I looks beautiful except where it doesn’t. It’s easy to build except where it’s not. The plastic is super cheap and flimsy, and mine came with a small crack already…somehow. Some of the bolt holes don’t line up on the sides where the back mounts to the seat arms so I was not able to get the back flush with the seat and now have a 1 1/2 inch gab between the two. Pretty sure that’s not how it supposed to be. I feel the USB cord for the vibrating lumbar support is way to short to have it not be a hazard if you turn to fast or move out from your desk to far….luckily I have a USB port on my keyboard so that works pretty well. I also feel the lumbar support is way to flat. It also very noisy when making adjustments in the reclining position. And I’m not getting the clanking sound like they say you will but more of the material rubbing against it self, and its pretty darn loud. I’m not 100% disappointed yet and will give this chair some time and amend my review as I’m currently tired and cranky at the moment. Lumbar vibration is helping a little bit though. One thing that works really well for me is the short (yet nonadjustable) and curved down arm rests. I like to sit close to my desk to keep better posture and they help a lot with that. And again its a very good looking chair, just rough around the edges so to speak. (3 stars)Update (day 11, upgraded to 4 star rating)So eleven days later and well, its still holding up. I’m in this thing on average 10-12 hrs a day (not every day, and yes I’m standing stretching often) and I have to say I’m really enjoying it now. Maybe it needed to be broken in, mold to me a little bit but yeah, all the complaints I had on day one are out of sight and mind. I found the perfect height and angle for the back so I haven’t had to adjust it much at all. I don’t even notice the plastic as well. I find it very comfortable and still find its a beautiful chair. One thing I want to note with full honesty is I had some back pain the first few days, but now, I haven’t had any….even in my day to day activities. I want to think that after years of sitting as a slumped over gamer this chair has helped correct my terrible posture and contributed to lass aches I normalcy had. Also I’ve opted to use the vibrating lumbar support more so on my couch/bed then used in the chair, so that’s pretty cool. Considering the price of other high end chairs, I can say that this would not be the worst choice to acquire a very handsome chair with an attractive price. If I have any other thoughts or experiences I’ll be sure to share them.

    Better with the new improvements

Bought this same chair in red around 2021, but it was time for a new chair as my cat destroyed it, oops. So when I got the new one and tried it, chair felt great and I can see differences on looks compared to both. The biggest downgrade will have to be the material used for the chair, old one is made with good leather while now feels like touching some cheap leather.

Great but better if you are a bit shorter and less wide

Overall, I quite like this chair. The big selling point for me was the fact that it not only has the tilt base but also the adjustable reclining back. This makes for switching sitting positions great, especially when switching to focused work to relaxed gaming. As the title states and the main reason for the docking of the star is for the size. I am about 6’1″ tall and wider shoulders and have found this chair is better sized for someone about 5’7″ and skinny. the angled back is a great idea because it holds you in and shapes to your body but at my wider shoulders, they push my shoulder blades in so after 10 hours it bugs me a bit with cramping. The height works but due to the slight padding at the head area the pillow sits too low and my head rests on the top bar. The footrest I am sure works great if your smaller but once again it just feels like it sits at an awkward position with how tall I am.The padding in the seat and arm rest area is great and super plush but the back is under padded and after a while you really feel the support bars.Lastly the arm rests are good width apart for me, but the height is a bit much. If they sat an inch or two lower, it would be nice, but the height makes typing at a keyboard odd and with only one arm on an arm rest at a time. With that in mind I could see if you use a controller instead of keyboard the set height would probably be good.

Good Quality Chair But Not Worth It’s Price

The quality of the chair isn’t too bad, but I always compare the quality to the price and expectations of it. The chair appears and feels thinner than expected but holds well. The padding definitely feels a higher quality than the typically gaming chair you buy for $100. For the $200 plus dollar price, I expected it to be alittle more wider and have a bigger stance. I feel like after a couple of months, this chair will start to break down for a guy that’s 200lbs. The chair’s lean back function is dangerous and a little more tricky than other gaming chairs. It’s a tiny bar to the right side of the chair, when sitting in it, that you use and unless you have a hand of a toddler, it can be difficult to grab and use. The chair also leans all the way back, which is dangerous. The chair almost flip on it’s back when I did that with the leg rest out when I was testing that function. If I didn’t have a table next to me to grab onto, I could of broken my neck or injuried myself. I looked to see if there was a warning about this and didn’t find one in the booklet that comes with it but maybe I overlooked it. I just want people to be aware so they don’t hurt themselves finding out. One of the last complaints I have is the massage function. It’s pretty nice. Not too aggressive but just enough to where you feel it doing something. My compliant about it is the cord. It’s not long enough and you don’t have an on/off button or switch for it. Once you plug the usb cord in, it’s going and you have to unplug it to stop it. For a chair of this price, I expected to at least be able to turn that function on/off from the chair itself.Overall, this is nice chair but I feel it’s over priced by at least $50 to $70. The cheaper gaming chairs will feel a little less comfortable compared to this but not so much that you don’t feel like you didn’t get your money’s worth. If I could go back and redo my decision in which gaming chair to buy, I would of bought the $130 one or one of the other $250 chairs that looked bigger and wider that didn’t have the massage function and etc. I hope this review helps. My star rating is really more like 3.7 than 4 stars. Really just comes down to the price and the quality of the chair not fully matching it.

I did A LOT of Research

I did a lot of research for a chair that would help correct my posture, but also be durable, comfortable and a decent value. I’m pretty sure I chose correctly.Pros:- Really intricate stitching really sets it apart — there’s a lot of chairs like this, but none look quite this good.- Faux-leather has a neat “weave” pattern.- Padded armrests are firm but comfortable and hinge when you recline.- The recline is really comfortable.- Surprisingly sturdy footrest.- Have put the seat all the way back and I haven’t fallen on my ass; the center of gravity and base seems sturdy and well-balanced.- Seat cushion seems firm and supportive.- Fully-upright posture is made comfortable by the neck pillow thing.- The base and wheels look really well constructed. We’ll see how well they hold up, but I actually have high hopes. (I’m very wary of replacing the wheels with those rollerblade casters because I think it would throw off the center of gravity and toss me onto my head.)Cons (sort of):- Pleather (faux-leather, whatever) is a little squeaky.- Seat back hinge has some give in the locking position so that when you push yourself up from sitting, the seat back sort of rocks forward. Not a huge deal, but the first time I wondered if I had tightened all the bolts properly.- Massaging feature on the lumbar support leaves a lot to be desired, but it’s not a bad bonus.- I could use some ventilation in the lumbar region.- Slightly (like, very slightly) shorter than other chairs I’m used to. Fine for me, but might be a consideration for very short individuals.- Wish I could tighten the neck pillow strap to lock it in place. (The elastic strap does a commendable job to keep it in place, but I’d like to lock it the hell down.)- I could use some more adjustable positions to customize it precisely to my frame — armrest height, shoulder-wing flare, hip flare, lumber support arch, footrest reach — but honestly, for the price I think that may be asking too much.I’m very impressed, and I think it hits the price-point perfectly. I’ll be very interested to see how it holds up, but I think even if it starts to wear out in a few years, I’d keep the frame and just replace the parts or reupholster it in something with more durability and ventilation — something woven, perhaps? It makes me wonder what a $400 or $500 Titan chair does better. (I guess I’ll never know, because this chair really ticks all the boxes.) If anything goes horribly wrong, I’ll be sure to edit this review, but for now I’m def satisfied.

    Premium Chair

I was looking for a gaming chair for a while now, and when I came across this Dowinx chair I had to buy it. It took a while to be delivered. Kept getting delayed for a few days so it got here a lot later than expected. The box was heavy, not complaining but wasn’t expecting that. Opened it up, checked all the parts, see if there were any damages, and all was fine and dandy. Let me tell ya’ll something….. I don’t know if I was retarded or what, but I had the hardest time putting this damn chair together. I read the instruction manual and even scanned the QR code to follow the steps, I even went on youtube to follow someone assembling it. The part that got to me was attaching the backrest to the hinges that we sticking up on both sides of chair. I was questioning myself lol and trying to figure what I’m doing wrong. I was also doing all of this the night I received it, so I said F it I’m doing this tomorrow. Woke up and went straight back to assembling my chair. I FINALLY was able to put the backrest up and finished putting the chair together. I did get a little nervous when trying out the chair, particularly the recline mechanism. I would’ve gone crazy after all that time I spent on it, but at the end it worked great and the chair was done. I gotta say after all that work, it was worth it. This is the best chair I’ve ever own and the most comfortable chair I ever sat on no shit! I can finally recline and relax and watch my favorite movies or play my games. My mom sat on it and even she loves it. Definitely will buy again but won’t be looking forward to assembling it.
