Going one year strong.
Purchased about a year ago. The stand design is cool and lets the monitor stand out. The easy height and tilt adjustment are something I never knew I needed. Instructions on setting the stand up were a bit vague with the height adjustment. The colors aren’t special but not bad. The gaming performance and usb ports have a grown on me. Would recommend, this monitor does not dissapoint at its price.

Great display. Make sure your VESA mounting screws are M4x8mm.
It is a beautiful display. The OSD is well organized. The brightness can be blinding.FYI, the VESA mounting holes do not fit M4x10mm machine screws that fit for most other displays. So you will need to get some M4x8mm machine screws.

Good monitor
I’m using it for general use. Some photo editing, some gaming, and work tasks. Colors are good, brightness is good, frame rate is good. I’m happy with it.

Excellent monitor
I wanted to upgrade from my older Viewsonic VP-2365 23″ monitor to something a little larger and with higher resolution. This Gigabyte monitor was just the ticket! So far it works flawlessly. No stuck pixels or other other problems, except one minor one (see below). The monitor is plenty bright, so much so that I turn it down a bit for most use. The control, a button/lever on the back at lower right makes for easy access to all of its many settings. The color is good too and I like the matte finish on the screen to reduce reflections and glare. (It amazes me that large screen TVs today do not offer this option; instead reflecting all room images as though they are a mirror.)The monitor comes with all the cables you might need – HDMI, USB-C, and DP. It can also be used on its base or a 100×100 mm VESA compatible mount.I primarily use my monitor for typing, documents, the internet. I’m not a gamer though I do watch videos and they all look fine. I have not done an exhaustive technical evaluation but am fairly picky and this monitor makes me happy. The one issue is customer support. The problem I experienced is that I wanted to try the USB-C cable as an input and could not get it to work. I think I have confirmed that the problem is NOT my computer. The only way to contact Gigabyte is through their website and the techs answering do get back to you (a couple of days or so) but are clearly not English speakers and thus the communication is challenging and takes a few tries. They finally understood the issue and suggested a firmware update and told me how to do it from a download on their website. I downloaded this file but have not tried the update at this time since I don’t have to currently use the USB-C, and don’t want to risk creating a problem. So other than that minor glitch, I am a happy camper, very satisfied with my purchase.

Quite possible the best color accurate gaming monitor for its price
After reading and watching RTings review of this model I knew it would be a great addition to my setup. It handles all the major requirements you might have and is really only missing a few QOL features. As you may already know this is a IPS 1440p gaming monitor with refresh up to 170hz & has high color accuracy. With it’s gaming related specs you would probably have to spend x2+ in order to get better refresh rates or other features without giving up something else.I have only found a couple of minor issues so far. The included stand isn’t that great so spend another $30+ to get yourself a monitor arm. The monitor has some glossy plastic on it so it doesn’t “feel” like a premium product. The monitor has DP1.2 & HDMI 2.0 which means you’re missing out on any DP1.4/H2.1 features. The image doesn’t take up the whole “Screen” portion of the monitor. What I mean is on the L/R & top sides there probably 1-2cm of unused screen real estate. You still get a 27″ picture in 1440p it’s just slightly weird that there’s these black bars are here. I haven’t used the KVM feature, but the PIP mode in large mode uses only ~7in of your 27″ screen so you can’t really drive a 2nd device using only PIP, but it’s nice that’s it’s there. But probably my main complaint is the use of a single directional button to change monitor settings. It’s placement it somewhat far from the bottom of the monitor, so I have to really stick my hand behind the monitor to use it. You’ll also have to learn what each direction triggers and it just generally doesn’t feel very good. The menu itself is great, just the single button controlling it fells cheap and isn’t place where it’s more easily reached. It would’ve been great if they included a remote control for it imo. If you plug in the USB B cable you can used a Gigabyte software package to change the monitor setting and create hotkeys to trigger different settings. But know that it’s only available for Windows OS.Minor problems aside this is one of the best budget gaming monitors I’ve owned and easily recommend it despite the few design hiccups.PS. RTings mentions is has a average text clarity. I don’t really notice any text clarity issues when I’m sitting in my usual 3ft away from the monitor, but apparently if you do have an issue with the text clarity you can flip the monitor 180 and that’ll fix it with the sacrifice of aesthetics and slight more input lag apparently.

Great well rounded 1440p work / gaming monitor
Reviewing M27Q revision 2.0 (Bought it as Used – Acceptable)Pros- great balance color and brightness out of the box- great viewing angle. I don’t see any obvious dimming area, meaning color + brightness is normalized from top left to bottom right screenCons- It seems to have a bit more motion blur comparing to Asus XG27ACS. I’m using Picture Quality OD setting. Switch over to Balance seems to help a bit.Defects- I have one defect pixel that’s noticeable on the dark background, showing subtle greenish color. Any other backgrounds such as red, green, blue, white the defect pixel is not noticeable.Overall, it suits for my daily use mainly for work, and occasional gaming sessions. For competitive gamers might need to look for a faster response panel.

KVM is unbeatable for home workstations
The built in KVM is the best, and allows me to switch between my work computer to my home computer with ease. No more unplugging cables. Just set up your sources in the UI.For me I also plugged the mouse and keyboard into the switch so it goes with.Great brightness and the HDR is nice for those really dark scenes in movies.

The best moniter I’ve seen
It’s perfect. Since it’s IPS it has the most beautiful colors I’ve ever seen. Beautiful contrast. And amazing brightness (if you want it super bright) you can also change it but I leave it about 70% and trust me 70% is already extremely high 😂 but the design of the moniter is amazing. It auto switches source almost immediately. The weight of it makes it feel well built. The only thing I’ve noticed which isn’t a big deal even in the slightest. If you have a fully black screen or a really black wallpaper you may notice this very little glare on deep black but for some reason in game it watching tv or even designing something in an illustrator I don’t notice it all even if I’m looking. But this moniter being 170hz and 0.5ms response time makes every game look so smooth it actually freaks me out. I’d give this moniter 6 stars if I could

Came with a dead pixel, but otherwise great.
I got this today and used it most of the day for work then switched to my gaming PC via the KVM. I ran through some CSGO matches and a bit of Doom 2016. I have it paired with a 5700XT. No issues with freesync, very happy with the image quality. This is far better than the 60hz 1400p IPS screen I had before it.The dead pixel was a little bit of a bummer but during use isn’t all that noticeable. I did knock off a star since it’s definitely not perfect, but I’m happy over all.I use this for both work and play. I didn’t buy it for the KVM but in the future that’s a feature I’d look for. My experience with KVMs and gaming has been mixed at best and I appreciate the lack of noticeable lag I get from this.I work in software so as long as the text is good and colors are fine, I’m happy. I do not have a very discerning eye for colors. All told, delighted with my purchase.

Absolute beast so far out of the box
The media could not be loaded.
Granted I’ve owned this monitor only for a day or so but I’m very satisfied with this panel. Colors are very good and not much backlight bleeding compared to my other monitors. I will say that ghosting is not too bad, and honestly I can’t notice it. There’s overdrive options which can help reduce the ghosting effects. The option I have on this panel is the “Speed” option as to my eyes it looks the most clear and little to no smearing. Build quality is good though it is plastic but the base seems like it’s sturdy. You can achieve 170hz 1440p if you plug in a display cable.

Solid Monitor – However, Screw Hole threads too deep when using it with a multi monitor stand
As the title say’s, if you’re planning on using this with a monitor arm, or a monitor stand for a multiple monitor set up. The threads in the screw holes are too deep. Meaning that basic monitor screws won’t work with it. I had dig, and thankfully I had some normal screws that were the same thickness, but deeper screws.I don’t know how this was missed during the engineer phase. but it is a massive problem if you’re planning on using this monitor without the base stand. I hope they see this, and add custom back monitor screens that are long enough to hit the threads. That’s the least they can do.Other than that, The monitor is fantastic.

If you’re still using an old VG248QE.. this is the perfect upgrade. Best monitor I’ve ever owned.
Owner for 1 year.As part of an entire overhaul of my setup I went from an Asus VG248QE to the M27QX as my main monitor after almost a decade and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m over 40yrs old.. my competitive days are long gone, but I still play shooters and other fast paced games and still value high fps / high refresh rate over high resolution. I spent a lot of time (months) deciding on a new monitor and the review on RTINGS for this sold me. I still wasn’t prepared for exactly how much of an upgrade it was in every single way. It’s almost like Gigabyte used the VG248QE as an inspiration to make the M27QX.The Gigabyte stand is almost identical to Asus, it’s sturdy and well made, there is height adjustment from 1-6 inches above your desk… this is great for accommodating different desk/chair setups and personal preference. The frame is sleek compared to Asus, of course the screen is not edge to edge but it’s still much nicer than a bulky plastic frame. I considered ultrawide for a long time but that would’ve meant having to get a different desk to make it work for me… and I would’ve had to settle with far less specs wise than this monitor where price is concerned, I still got a bump up in size from 24 to 27in and it’s welcomed. The panel came in perfect shape, no stuck/dead pixels. The RTINGS review mentioned this monitor had great color out of the box and it does, you don’t know what your missing if all you’ve ever used is TN panels like me. IPS is so crisp it’s unreal, the difference in color cannot be understated. This monitor also has backlight strobing which mimics the fluid motion of old CRT monitors and helps to reduce motion blur in fast paced games, on the Asus I had to use a 3rd party program to make it work with AMD GPU’s..not so on the M27QX. Even if you turn motion blur off in your competitive games (you should) there will still be blur on non-strobed monitors… this was a big selling point for me.I’m happy with 1440p as an upgrade, I am used to having games run high fps on 1080p even in single player games if allowable. Things are better than when 4k first came out but it is obviously still harder to run. I’ve seen 4k benchmarks for certain GPU’s/games under 60fps and that is a no go for me. If you’re buying 240hz refresh the goal should be as close to 240fps as you can get. I’m used to 120 and going to 240 is still very noticeable (in Rocket League for example). Once you see over 120 fps synced with your monitor in any game, you’ll never want to go back.Another huge upgrade is the joystick menu on this monitor, in all the years I had the Asus I struggled till the end to remember how to navigate the menu, and hated to access it. The menu on the M27QX is so intuitive you’ll have it down in no time, I find myself using it often to change between picture modes, adjust brightness/blackness levels ingame or late at night among other settings (there are many settings to fine tune if you are into that). Just like Asus they even included a built in OSD crosshair that you can apparently customize, I personally don’t use it much but it is a nice option to have to build aim in games/modes that don’t have a crosshair.Last but not least, the name M27QX is shorter and cooler, they really thought of everything! An expensive and hard to justify upgrade for me, but it paid off. 5*

Blown away by the value and performance
Bought a VA panel from Dell in 2018, 1440p 144hz for ~$400. No HDR, clunky OSD, washed out color and very poor contrast, but I loved it.Unboxed this thing and was blown away by the color and contrast. For $200 freaking dollars. Pixel response is on par with the VA, you get some smearing on blue to white especially, but I only notice in synthetic benchmarking.Color is insane. The vibrance is stunning. Other reviews say the HDR is lacking, I have to disagree… Dimming zones lead to a chunky look and inconsistent contrast around irregular objects, and while the blacks are certainly perceptibly not black in a dark room, it’s not something I’m noticing while gaming. If that’s important to you, spend 3x the price on an OLED and deal with burn in.Freesync premium is excellent. The bezels are not noticeable, except for the chin, which isn’t a big deal to me. The dimensions are good, it’s not too deep/thick.I may have won the QC lottery – no stuck pixels or backlight bleed, the monitor is impressively consistent displaying blacks. It’s well packed and comes with more cables than you’ll probably need.At this price, it truly can’t be beat. I might buy two more!

Gigabyte for the win!!
This monitor is amazing the refresh rate is absolutely worth it not only is the monitor 1440p it’s also 4K as well going from a 1080p to 1440p and 4K is absolutely worth it although yeah the human eye can’t see 200hz but it’s absolutely amazing the color is vibrant and everything definitely worth it and weight it’s not too heavy 10/10 monitor

Great value for price
The monitor out of the box took a bit of tinkering to find a color/brightness setting that I liked but once I got it dialed in its a huge improvement over the 1080p monitor I had been using for years. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this monitor to others!

Vivid beautiful colors, pitch black, awesome smoothness and fast pixel response
One of the best QD-OLED 360hz 1440p monitors currently on the market. Has USB B port for firmware updates if needed and released (big plus) and HDMI 2.1 full bandwidth.I wish Gigabyte released a Windows driver for it. It not nice to see “Generic Monitor” in device manager and some games/applications for an $800 dollar monitor. I also hope GBT will continue to refine and improve things in future FW updates. They already addressed an issue with Standby Pixel Cleanup through a FW update.

bang for buck 1440p monitor
This monitor was recommended and talked a lot about positively in many computer/gaming discords/forums that i was lurking on whenever someone was asking for a good priced 1440p monitor. It really is worth every penny, the price for the picture quality and hertz feels like its punching way above its weight. Hell, i even have a 4k monitor now and this thing somehow still seems more crisp then it in certain ways. Even convinced my brother to get one and he absolutely loves it.Only con I have, which others have mentioned before. Is the BGR color layout can make text look a bit blurry in some applications/games but thats pretty rare. And can be fixed with windows text vision tool.

Good for a gaming monitor, crap for KVM and software
I’ve had this monitor for a year and for the most part I’ve enjoyed using it. But over the months I’ve noticed that a few of the features are half-baked. It first started with trying to update the Sidekick software, which now appears to be stuck thinking that this monitor is no longer a Gigabyte device, even when there are no other items connected. With the screen settings software AFK, it makes it rather difficult to make adjustments since all the controls are on the back of the screen. Oh well.Since then I’ve also started spending more time working from home. Hey, great, now I can put that KVM feature to use! Except I can’t get the USB-C pass through to work in all situations and the don’t think about leaving both devices connected at all times–the KVM button only seems to toggle about a quarter of the time even though one device was sleeping the other was already active. To it’s credit, it’s a pretty good, evenly lit screen. Brightness is very good. There will be some leakage in the corners, it’s almost impossible to miss with these type of screens. And I haven’t had any issues with text clarity, which is supposed to be a problem with this style subpixel layout. If you’re the finicky type it might be best to pass as Gigabyte’s support apparently is heading to the gutter, otherwise a decent deal if you can live without the advertised “features” above.

(Edit: updated ) Good gaming monitor. Was worried after reading reviews but it turned out great.
EDIT:After a week, my review has changed. To anyone who claims this monitor has no IPS glow and no backlight bleed, I challenge you to post photos to prove it.It wasn’t bad at first, but the more I played, the more I noticed it. Bright games like Overwatch and Hi-Fi Rush won’t show it, those games will look incredible. Any game with dark areas and night scenes will be rough. It’s bad enough that I’m considering a return. I dunno if it’s worth the risk tho since this one has no dead pixels and so many others do.I might return and just to back to a VA panel. Or extend my budget and get an OLED.The monitor offers great colors, great motion clarity, great flicker free freesync premium, but the backlight bleed and IPS glow is distractingLowered to 3 stars———-Pro:Bright, great SDR brightnessOutstanding color right out of the boxOutstanding motion clarity and gaming optionsGreat all around performanceNo dead pixelsCons:It’s an IPS panel, so the black levels aren’t deep. My last monitor was a Samsung VA and you can immediately notice the more washed out dark areas. I think the clarity and colors vibrance makes up for it, but you’ll notice it

Not Bad, But Not Great – VERY Noticeable Pixel Grid
I wanted to love this monitor, I really did. For the price, it’s really not bad at all. It’s PACKED with features that you won’t get with anything else in this price range, such as built-in KVM, OSD software for changing settings in Windows instead of the on-board menu button, 170hz refresh, and just really great colors.HOWEVER, and this is a BIG “but”, it has a very noticeable pixel grid, even at normal viewing distance some 2-3ft from the screen. It’s one of those things that you can’t unsee once you’ve noticed it. I thought this might have been a component of my last QHD monitor having been 24″ and the Giabyte being 3″ larger would mean the pixels are more spread out, but after going to Best Buy and seeing a LG UltraGear of the same size and resolution have ZERO pixel grid at normal distance, I now know this is not something that should be happening. Maybe I got a lemon or maybe that’s just the one downfall of an otherwise fantastic value monitor, but as I said, I can’t unsee the grid linee.I’ve now bought the very LG UltraGear I mentioned above (LG 27GL850-B) and and I’m IN LOVE with it. No grid, slightly lower refresh which makes no difference to me as I game at 120hz anyway, and still all the other feature of the Gigabyte for, at the time of purchase, just $70 more.If you’re considering the M27Q, I’d highly recommend shelling out the additional $70 for the LG 27GL850-B instead. You’ll get a lower refresh rate but a MUCH better pixel density with no noticeable lines.

Great 240hz monitor for gaming!!
This monitor is pretty great for gaming, the 240hz makes everything snappy and with immediate response with gameplay being smooth as butter. Picture quality is also amazing everything is displayed accurately with great colors you won’t be disappointed. One minor negative is the quality control of the screen I have 2 tiny dead pixels at bottom of my screen so i hardly noticed it but it doesn’t bother me. Another minor inconvenience is when powering on the screen the boot up logo has flickering but goes away after a few seconds as it corrects itself. Even with the quality issues I definitely recommend this monitor if it’s on special/sale. 4/5 stars.

It’s great
I don’t think they sell this anymore, but the frame rate is fantastic, I have no burnt pixels, and the picture quality is good for its resolution. I also love the KVM in the monitor as it makes switching from my work computer to my Mac a breeze without having to do the wire switching game for the peripherals.

Excellent Gaming Monitor, Beautiful Colors, Great Price
After a week of searching and contemplation, I settled on the Gigabyte M27Q as my next gaming monitor, and I have not been disappointed in the slightest so far. Out of the box, the colors look great, but they can be made even better with a bit of tuning. I love the configuration Hardware Unboxed provides in their review video. I switched to this monitor from a 1080p VA panel, which I hated due to copious amounts of unbearable ghosting and low pixel density. I switched to this monitor, and I cannot find any smearing, ghosting, or flickering at any of the modes I’ve tried, and I have done a lot of tinkering. As expected, G-Sync works great, without any sort of tearing or flickering. While you should NOT buy this monitor for HDR, the HDR gaming experience was a pleasant surprise. The monitor auto-switched to HDR mode when I first opened Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and I decided to leave it on to test it out. The claims of colors becoming washed out aren’t exaggerated, and the lack of any local dimming hurts a lot, but the high peak-brightness of this monitor is quite good, so I did not find the experience to be “bad” by any stretch of the imagination. One of the things that I was worried about when I bought this monitor was IPS Glow/Backlight Bleed, and upon first turning on the monitor, I noticed a hint of it in the top right corner, but unless I’m staring directly at it and the screen is displaying complete black, I don’t notice it at all, and I consider myself to be quite finicky with this sort of thing. Another feature of this monitor that I don’t see mentioned by anybody is the 10-bit color support. While you do have to turn the refresh rate down to 120hz to get it, and it’s NOT true 10-bit, (it’s 8-bit+FRC,) I find the experience to be completely worth it, as I do little extremely competitive gaming, and my RTX 2070 really can’t hit above 100 fps in games at high settings 1440p anyways. It’s also worth mentioning that NO gaming monitors in this price bracket have TRUE 10-bit color, so it’s not much of a downside that it is 8-bit+FRC. Another thing you’ll hear people mention about this monitor as a negative is the “BGR” subpixel layout compared to the traditional “RGB” layout. After setting up ClearType in windows, I can see absolutely no difference between text on this monitor and text on any other display I use daily. In fact, to my eye, which again, I consider to be astute, text is actually sharper than I expected. Overall, I think that this monitor is unbeatable at the price, and I’d recommend it to just about anybody.

Uh, yeah. This thing is SICK
The media could not be loaded.
This is my first oled gaming monitor. Before this, I had two 32″ 1440p 165hz monitors from Asus and LG. I play a lot of fps games and so I figured going down to 27″ wouldn’t be a terrible idea just for more situational awareness due to having a smaller screen and whatnot. When I say that this has genuinely made me a better player, I’m not kidding. I improved over night on rainbow six siege due to the clarity of the image (presumably due to the glossy coating), and the insane speed of the 360hz. I should also mention that the dark stabilizer on this monitor is pretty nuts too. I leave mine on 3 and it really does help see better in the darker areas of the game.Next to my 32″ Asus monitor, it’s a night and day difference. Colors are more vibrant, the glossy screen makes the image appear clearer, the blacks are BLACK (yes, if you have lights in your room, they’re a little purplish due to the way that the QD-OLED works, but it’s a non-issue for me. I use the monitor mostly at night), and overall- it’s just a really beautiful monitor that I’ve had no issues with whatsoever. aSorry my picture isn’t the best. I might return later when it’s night again and upload a comparison image

Nice monitor, works with Macs, KVM works with USB-C only, no daisy chaining
I bought this almost entirely for the built-in KVM switch. I have two Macs: a newer laptop and an older Mini. The goal was to be able to have my monitor, mouse, and keyboard switch computers at the press of a button. I eventually succeeded, but there is basically only one configuration that works. So, make sure your computers have the necessary ports: * one computer can be connected through HDMI or Display Port (cables included). This computer will **additionally** require a USB to USB-B cable (also included) for the mouse and keyboard. So, this computer must have a free USB port and a free HDMI or DP. * the other computer **must** be connected through a USB-C cable. This must be a type-3.1 cable (not included); a type-2 cable (commonly used for phone charging) is not sufficient. So, this computer must have a free USB-C cable. If you don’t care about having the mouse and keyboard automatically follow the monitor, then you can use whichever cables you want and potentially have up to four machines connected (2xHDMI + DP + USB-C). But most people probably do want the mouse and keyboard to follow the monitor, in which case you are stuck with the above configuration.Still, this works fine for me. My only disappointment is that I cannot daisy-chain these displays. It would be nice if a second monitor could follow the first just as the keyboard and mouse do. In hindsight, I probably would have bought a monitor with this feature. The monitor itself is great: nice and large, reasonably bright, thin bezel. I don’t see any dead pixels or other problems that others have mentioned.

Better than the MSI equivalent
Before this monitor, I bought the MSI G274QPF-QD, 27″ Gaming Monitor, 2560 x 1440(QHD), IPS, 170Hz. I used the MSI a few days but I wasn’t happy because it had uneven backlight bleed, too much brightness in the lowest setting, took too long to wakeup, etc. I had to return the MSI monitor. This Gigabyte M27Q X monitor is everything I wanted. The backlight bleed is very even, the lowest setting of brightness is very low so I can adjust perfectly to my liking (which it’s fairly low), it wakes up really quickly in 1.5 seconds, the image quality is awesome, quick response time, very nice features like been able to turn the power LED indicator OFF.I totally recommend this monitor.I love MSI brand but this time I have to admit that Gigabyte won this battle for the best monitor, at least in this category (IPS, 27 inch, 2K).

Great Monitor for the price
I looked at every 1440P monitor for my PS5 before purchasing this one. I watched countless YouTube reviews. The fact that this monitor sold for almost $500 2 years ago and I was able to pick it up for just over $200 is an amazing value. It has an excellent picture. Very easy to use control settings and menu. Assembly takes 30 seconds. It was packaged very well. I would absolutely purchase this again. I upgraded from a 1080p Sceptre Monitor that had zero problems I just wanted more pixels.

Great sized IPS Monitor
Great monitor, love the size. Not too big or small.60hz to 170hz has a way smoother difference, can’t ever go back to 60hz.No really complaints, easy to set-up and useScreen can move at vertical and horizontal angles + higher/lower for best looking angleFeel Like I got my money’s worth. 9/10If you can break the bank go with an OLED monitor but an IPS works for me (next best thing)

Really decent monitor for the price.
For the price i paid for this monitor I’m pretty happy with it, the colors are very nice, 170hrz on a 1440p monitor is amazing, build quality is decent, and it’s even gsync compatible, the resolution is perfect for this size of monitor, and coming from a VA panel which had terrible motion blur im happy to say i can’t detect any motion blur on this monitor, my viotek monitors motion blur was so bad i said screw it and locked games at 60hrz and kept my monitor at 120hrz, it seemed to lessen the motion blur but it was still quite noticable. the brightness is really good, not good enough for a good hdr experience but great for sdr, i compared the image quality of this with my viotek monitor, i would say this one has ever so slightly better colors, one really bad thing though is that this monitor has some pretty bad light bleed on the bottom left which is really noticeable in medium light to dark scenes, its not all that noticeable in brighter scenes, but this light bleed is the only reason I’m deducting a star, I’ve only ever had 3 monitors(2 va and 1 ips) and 2 tv’s but this light bleed its literally the worst ive ever seen, its a very orangy glow that looks terrible on a black scene, im guessing this is just a flaw with my monitor with how bad it is… i hope… i compared hdr content on youtube, it looked ever so slightly better, much better color range, though its definitely not bright enough for a good HDR experience, i wasn’t expecting much of any noticeable difference from sdr to hdr on a 400nit monitor so I’m happy its not a completely useless feature. So yeah, i think i paid like $340 on this monitor, it would be hard if not impossible to find a monitor as good as this in this price range, and if it wasn’t for that damn light bleed this monitor would be perfect.

Great monitor for gaming and workflow!
Use this with my high end gaming PC and with my MacBook for work. 1440p is the perfect resolution for working on mac (unless you’re doing creative work) and the best resolution for gaming. This is superior to the Alienware and MSI equivalent OLED monitors in every way. The KVM feature really shines and allows you to use your peripherals easily with your laptop and pc.

Pricey but beautiful
The screen size is perfect for 1440p but at the time I purchased it, there were shortages so the pricing wasn’t great. If it’s under $275, it’s a great buy to this day

Its a good monitor but heres some things you should know
For $300 its a good 1440p monitor, but I highly recommend you try and get your hands on a quality $400 1440p monitor instead, this one comes with noticeable backlight bleed and subpar adjustment as well as noticeable ghosting. To put it simply after you buy this you’re going to want to buy an upgrade so just hold out and get a monitor you will be really happy with.

Skeptical but great turnout
Overall: This monitor looks amazing. Such an upgrade from the Asus 165hz 24′ monitor. I am very picky with my products and I didn’t know if I should bite the bullet with this purchase, but I am more than satisfied with my purchase. Granted its literally only 4 hours into using it, but I think the image quality looks sharp. Played a few games of warzone and it looked great and watched a few episodes from different shows with both dark and bright lighting and its looks solid. I was wondering buying the Alienware 27′ 240hz monitor but I think saving the $400 was definitely the right call. I made this purchase based on a recommendation from a youtube video by Monitors Unboxed.Cons: I have yet to find any, but I will update if I come across any.I saw a lot of reviews that claimed they got a bad monitor with dead pixels, etc. but mine came mint. This comes with a few cables (usb 3.0, hdmi, displayport)Color: Like I said overall this was a solid upgrade to my asus monitor (which is now by secondary monitor), but I will need to test and change the colors in the settings. I think the settings straight out of the box is solid, but will test around to see if there are better options. I currently have my preset to “Movie” with night mode active and the screen isnt too harsh on the eyes nor do the colors look off.If youre looking for a 240hz monitor this is definitely a top tier monitor for its price point!

Beautiful pixels
Coming from 1080p I couldn’t believe the difference. Wish I had upgraded a long time ago. I wanted dual monitors because that’s what I’m used to. Bought 2 of these and both arrived in perfect condition and are working great so far. I love the sleek look and the robust stand and colors are perfect.

Good screen but bad stand.
The screen and pictures are great for the price paid for the monitor. To Work well enough out of the box, only adjust a bit of the color/black level a bit to make the picture good enough for my bad eye to enjoy. The stand isn’t good enough for most people’s needs. The doesn’t give enough height adjustment as I would personally like or need in my case, about 3 in too short. I find not having left/right movement or an angle screen bad overall. Sometimes sit back odd like watching a video turn the monitor a bit you just can’t. I’ll have to buy a desk mount for the monitor.Normal person that sit right in front of the desk and under 6ft stand won’t bug you as much.

Amazing for a WFH + Gaming Setup
M27Q Review:This monitor has been a game changer for me. The picture quality and high refresh rate are great and all, but the real reason I bought this monitor was for the KVM feature, and boy does it deliver. I’m able to connect my mechanical keyboard and mouse to the monitor, and with a press of a button on the back of the monitor, swap between my Macbook for work and my PC for gaming. Having just one USB-C connection to my laptop is a huge bonus, plus it charges! The setup was really easy and straightforward, didn’t even have to read the manual, just plugged everything in. It also worked with my current dual monitor mount and since the monitor is relatively lightweight (at least compared to my old one), there isn’t any noticeable tilt or strain on my mount. My only complaint, and this is a macOS specific complaint, is that I can’t do dynamic scaling like in Windows, so text is a bit smaller than I’m use to. Seems like MacOS only supports dynamic scaling on their own retina displays. Lowering the resolution makes things bigger, but fuzzy. Not a huge deal, plus this isn’t the monitor’s fault anyway, just something I’ll need to get used to.

A few design flaws
I wish it didnt have an external power brick as it makes cable management a mess. A little more top bezel for so the webcam lip isnt in the screen. Only thing I don’t like is the Vesa mount is a little recessed into the plastic. This made my slide adapter for my Vesa mount not compatible. Was able to get it on by just holding the arm down while screwing in the screws but not without injury. Since I’m trying to hold the gas filled monitor arm down while screwing the screws in I made a mistake after thinking the first one was in. I picked up my arm to grab next screw and BAM! Vesa mount hits me straight in the mouth. If only it didn’t have that indent I could have just mounted the bracket and slid it on but no it wanted blood. Huge bezel gap from plastic to screen because it doesn’t curve over to it.
