I don’t leave a ton of reviews but I see a lot of people wondering whether to splurge on this headset or the Quest 2. Bought this for my son for his birthday and he likes it. I bought the Quest 2 for his birthday last year and he loves it but he needed something compatible with his HP laptop.If you’re looking for a sleek, better graphics headset and you’re not too worried about comparability with gaming computers, go with the Quest 2. It’s cheaper as well.

I am thoroughly enjoying my Reverb G2. The only issue I’ve found is that occasionally the headset will not start up (no audio or video). Unplugging the unit and rebooting usually solves the issue. I don’t understand why this is happening, but that doesn’t stop me from recommending this headset. The experience is phenomenal!

I use the HP with a 3080TI and a 10700k, with 32GB of ram at only 32 00 speed and performance in FS2020Nearly equalled monitor FPS. WOULD DEFINITELY PURCHASE AGAIN.

I got this a a replacement for my Reverb G1. I was worried that it would not be the G2 version 2 but fortunately it was. I am really happy with the headset as I got it as a used but good as new unit at a reasonable price. Absolutely great for sims.

I chose this over the valve index because it’s half the price and I didn’t want to set up base stations. I was worried going into it looking at the negative reviews. So far everything has been working perfectly. It’s comfortable, the controllers track well, the ear speakers sound great and the image is perfectly clear.I did receive the G2 version 2 headset.

Field of view is impressive and the resolution is spectacular. This is not for computer novices as you are required to adjust settings within games and the device itself but with a little bit of time will be rewarded with a stunning VR experience

The G2 is simply awesome. It’s light weight, has great resolution and is super smooth! The face mask fits well and is comfortable and doesn’t let in any light. I give it 5 starts because of this. However, there is a known issue with the cable and USB firmware, HP is aware of the issue and is working to correct it. The cable may or may not work well. I had a cable that worked for about a week, and it didn’t work very well. Then all of a sudden my headset stopped working. I contacted HP support and they sent me a new cable free of charge. It took about two weeks for me to receive the new cable but the new cable fixed 100% of the issues I had before. Even though you might have an issue with the cable I would still completely recommend this headset but know that you might need a new cable. But it’s totally worth it!!!

I tried the oculus quest 2 of a family member and I had to get a VR. I got the HP reverb G2 and I loveit is more confortable, amazing video quality and easy to set up fallowing a 10 minutes tutorial from YouTube. I saw a los of reviews and I Was worry about the tracking but no problems with the tracking I was playing minecraft and pavlov and the experience was fun and awesome and I got this used good as New for $400 and everything was in the box and everything looks New.

MS Flight Sim 2020 looks really good, as does Assetto Corsa and Automobilista 2. A lot of people swear by the Quest 2… which I owned briefly. I just found it much too heavy on my face and didn’t like the fact I had to recharge the battery. Being wired to my PC doesn’t bother me in the least.Hope this helps!

Like some I was hesitant on this purchase as I seemed to focus more on the bad reviews and worried a lot about set up. I am no computer geniuses but for the most part it really wasn’t that bad. I currently have Alienware Aurora R14 Liquid Cooled Gaming Desktop – AMDRyzen 9 5900, 32GB 3466MHz RAM, 1TB SDD + 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X Graphics, VRReady, USB-C, Windows 11 Home …. I only use it for flight sims.. specially xplane 11. From the beginning I had no issues at all with my system detecting the Reverb G2 v2 and setup was as simply as following the directions during the intial set up process. Now it did take some time to tweak the headset to my liking for xplane 11 .. more trial and error but that’s all thanks to finding a ton of helpful youtube videos to really get the best out of what my system could do. I am new to VR so I have had no prior experience. I did have to tweak some computer settings to get the best performance. Everyone’s computer is different unless you have the exact same set up as me. The graphics are amazing through the head set.. yes smaller sweet spot than what i would prefer but from what i have read compared to other units .. it’s one of the best. .. Side note .. I did receive the G2 V2.1 … some have said it’s not but they must have gotten a bad seller or just really bad luck.. I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and just got the unit about a week ago
