Nice affordable monitor
Its been a work horse ever since I’ve gotten it.Its what I expected and its been great. Its only happened twice but in the middle of the screen a vertical line “skew offset” making whatever passes through that get “couple pixel off set”.To fix, I have to power off and power one .This cant be a feature so I’m hoping it wont start being a problem in the future.Maybe I just got a bad one and it passed QA instead of being rejected?

Great for WFH
I bought this when I transitioned to working at home a couple days a week. It’s a perfect size and easy to set up. The quality is very good for the price especially compared to others at way higher prices

Huge Display
I bought this monitor after I accidentally cracked the screen of a 34” ultrawide monitor from Samsung that I only had for a weeks (it was my own fault I admit but probably wouldn’t have happened for reasons I’ll get into shortly). I’m used to working on dual displays and so I decided to just buy an ultrawide that could do the same as having two separate monitors. I do some gaming but I wouldn’t say I’m a hardcore PC gamer (but having a high refresh rate is a nice bonus for when I do). I only got this yesterday and so far I’m very happy with it for a few reasons because they were lacking in the Samsung monitor I purchased. First is the built in speakers (I haven’t ent tested them enough to speak for the quality yet) because my last monitor didn’t have them. Almost every monitor I’ve had regardless of price had some form of built in speakers and the Samsung monitor had none despite costing more. They don’t have to be amazing but if you’re gonna spend over $300 on a monitor they should be standard. Next is the fact that you can adjust the height and angle on the screen. That was one one gripe I had with the Samsung monitor and part of the reason I accidentally cracked the screen (I was trying to install a Vesa mount on the back when it slipped and hit the the corner of my desk). I could not adjust the height of that monitor or tilt the screen. With the LG I can easily adjust it to whatever height is comfortable to me.I know it sounds like I’ve spent more time complaining about my previous monitor (I admit I’m still a little salty as it happened in the last few weeks) but I’m really satisfied with this. I wasn’t happy about having to buy a new monitor so soon but this was less expensive than repurchasing the same monitor with the same shortcomings and is probably what I should have gotten from the start. Heck I can even try to send off my other monitor for repair and have dual ultrawides lol.

Review for the VA panel version
Having been an IPS fan for the last fifteen years, I have been disappointed by the poor black level of the newer IPS displays. Due to the increasing brightness (nits) of backlights on modern monitors, combined with IPS’ traditional weaker black level and low contrast ratio, this has created a perfect storm where it’s really not ideal to view dark content (such as the catacombs in Dark Souls, or caves in Elden Ring) on an IPS display anymore. However, my last experience several years ago with a VA panel ended badly as the colors were very drab and muted.Since it’s been several years, I decided to try another VA panel.I’ve been very pleasantly surprised here. With a brightness of 300 nits and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, this VA panel gets *just* bright enough to look good, and has a very good black level. Black areas actually look black, not gray. The colors are not as rich as a modern high-end IPS screen, but they are just as good as my older or less expensive IPS displays. This VA panel is capable of vibrant enough colors without oversaturation, with a little tweaking. It is far better than the VA panels from 2016-2017 which always looked dull and dim no matter what.Another strong point is LG’s factory calibration and the contrast ratio and black level. Dark dungeons look dark, and bright points (such as torches) really pop by comparison. It’s not OLED black level (obviously) but it’s a lot closer than I expected and this has become my primary monitor (replacing a 16:9 Asus ProArt IPS) because of how richly it represents dark tones and contrasted environments. The spooky path to the New Londo ruins (with the blue ghostflame torches) is visually stunning. It doesn’t really require much tweaking to look good or accurate, either. Maybe bump the saturation by 10%, just to squeeze more out of the panel, turn off the gimmick features like “black boost” that make the image look faded by limiting dark areas, and you’re good to go. LG’s factory calibration has always been better than the competition and the same is true here.

Great, until it wasn’t
Got it last year on Black Friday deal, today, 3 days shy of having it for a year and half the screen goes to static. Cables are good, PC is good, it just…half died. When it was working it was great, minor ghosting issues aside.

really good quality and price
Really nice for the price, this thing is huge. really improves efficiency with work. you could have like six different tabs open and not be cramped. haven’t noticed any problems associated with this style of panel, everything is crisp and smooth although im not the most knowledgeable on the subject. for this price point, I don’t think it can be beat. only thing to consider is the size of the stand is pretty big. It barely fit on my desk with room for my mouse pad and keyboard, I had to let a bit of the stand hang of the back of my desk. if you have a smaller desk consider getting a different type of stand for it, maybe a clamp style or wall mount.

If you only have display port use the DP to DP cable provided
Just finished setting this monitor up. Ran into an issue with the display resolution, could only get to 1920×1080. After a lot of head scratching I figured out that I was using a Display Port to HDMI cable and that was the bottleneck. Replacing the cable with the Display Port cable provided by LG instantly fixed the issue.Warning, be careful if you attempt to select HDR video, I got locked into a black screen loop that I could only escape by reverting to the old HDMI cable.Love the screen, it has replaced 2 very old monitors, now I feel like its a new PC.

Solid Curved Gaming Monitor
This curved monitor was the perfect choice for me to go from a cluttered desk to a sleeker more organized desk! (Still fight the clutter, ngl) I haven’t noticed much lag in the graphics or black spots. Using a custom built PC for gaming with a high-end graphics card. Runs and looks flawless! Better than I expected, and I usually go with Samsung.

2-weeks in and great so far
I got this when it was on sale for Black Friday so for the price you cant beat it at all.The only thing I was worried about what the coloring and ghosting cause of the VA panel. However, this thing has no issues at all.Coloring it great right out of the box, I didnt adjust anything. You can search around and there are people who will tell you to boost the saturation and contrast a little but I didnt find I had to.And I dont see any noticeable ghosting that makes me feel like theres a problem.Sometimes I wonder how picky people really are? I played probably 20-hours of Halo on this and didnt notice anything and that was on max-settings.Also the stand, its not a bad stand but I did buy a budget-brand desk mount and it made everything way better.

Arrived with a stuck pixel
Basically a perfect monitor, however it arrived with a stuck pixel. It’s been a few months and it has not fixed itself. However, it is just one pixel, and for the most part it goes unnoticed. Thought I would wait to post a review in case things turned out better, but they did not. Still a great monitor though, and others do not seem to have this issue.

Best $250 spent in awhile
The media could not be loaded.
I wasn’t even in the market for a monitor because the old one I had from 2013 still worked fine. But I really enjoy the size and wide curved screen of these new monitors and saw this on sale for $250. After researching for awhile and comparing similar monitors I decided to go for it.So far all I can say is for $250 this is a steal. Feels like a $500 monitor to me. The clarity is phenomenal, colors look great and it’s freaking huge. I thought about hooking up my other monitor as well and with my laptop it would be too much. The only downside are the speakers are a bit tinny but what do you expect for in monitor speakers. I will say they’re super loud though. Anyway, if you by chance see it for $250 or even $300 don’t hesitate.

Amazing Price and Picture!!
I bought this because it has a great Refresh rate and the Price was killer. THis is my first curved monitor and i’m loving it. I almost went with the big brother 45″, but heald back to reserve some desk space. Its not the best of the best but the picture looks great. I’m no expert in monitors by any means but MS Flight sim is beautiful on it. I was super nervous because i bought it “used – Acceptable” for a steal so i didn’t know what to expect. When it showed up it was in the LG box and hadn’t even been opened. Everything was still wrapped up. Win!! Hope this helps.

This will work at 120Hz on PS5(see below)
This monitor is a steal for the price. It is true that it only has hdmi 2.0 and so you cant use HDMI to get 120Hz on PS5 out of the box, BUT you can get a HDMI 2.1 to Display Port powered converter cable. I did and it works at 1440p 120Hz on my PS5. You just need to cable which will plug HDMI side into PS5 and DV side into the monitor. It works and without any noticable latency added. I play WARZONE and MW3 hardcore mode and this thing is incredible for the price. So I mounted mine. For reference I had a Samsung Odyssey G9 that was so heavy it broke off the mount I had and destroyed the screen. So I am used to a super high end monitor. This LG does not dissapoint and it was over $1100 less than my 49 INCH G9 (Which was over kill, lol). 32inch is really the perfect size for PC gaming, anything bigger makes it harder to catch players on the edges as its just too wide when it comes to competitive gaming. My only gripe is the stand. They need a redesign for this stands as they kill desk space.

For all the second guessers….
I was very sceptical about buying this monitor for many reasons, main one being the lack of reviews not just here, but all over the internet. it seemed as though LG wanted to keep this monitor under wraps…. but wow let me tell you i am truly impressed with this monitor. right out of the box the colours didn’t need much tuning at all. My eyes may not be trained to nicer monitors, coming from a 1080 165 hz monitor, but from what the reviews i watched said, i was expecting it to be on the dimmer side at 300 nits, but its more than i could ever need. HDR is fine nothing to rave about, and a mild amount of ghosting. ive tested it on a few titles such as fortnite, call of duty, and spider man for the full ultrawide experience and i cant say i was dissatisfied at all with the colors or anything major. I got this on sale for 300 and i couldn’t be happier with the purchase. For anyone whose sceptical about buying it, just do it you will be happy especially if you’re coming from a 1080p monitor or below. its only day one for me, so this is a disclaimer. I will report back a few months from now to see if everything stays as great as it is. thanks for coming to my ted talkEdit: coming back after 4/5 months and I’m still just as in love with the monitor as I was on the first day. The ultra wide experience is phenomenal and I wouldn’t want it any other way. No dead pixels, no issues in general and everything is running smooth! Still would recommend buying this monitor for anyone who’s looking to get into their first ultra wide. Obviously there are better options out there, but this is perfect for the casual to heavy gamer, and I’m sure other things as well. Thanks LG for a problem free monitor at least for now

Black bars appearing on top/bottom of monitor and stretched out
When I attached the monitor to my new Lenovo IdeaPad 1 , it wasn’t at the native 3440×1440 resolution, windows picked a higher resolution 3840×2160 and the screen was blurry and stretched out on the horizontal axis. If you forced it to 3440×1440, it put black bars on the top and bottom. The fix is to go into the Display/Advanced display/Display adapter properties/List modes/select 3440×1440/OK/apply. Then it will properly display and be crystal clear at the proper native resolution. It seems that windows and this machine can’t properly detect the resolution of this monitor – very frustrating!

Don’t buy it w/o the extra warranty and i love the monitors
I love the monitors. i bought 2 of these and attached to a dock. Since I had 3 Asus monitors that lasted 6 years, and w/ a product like LG, why would i need the extra monitor. Except purchased in July, writing this in March, just short of 8 months, the DP connector on one of the monitors died. HDMI still worked so I had a work around. However, good thing i saved the box, I had to ship it in, LG paid for shipping, but I had to have a box, and it being a curved monitor, I’m glad I kept the box. Usually with extra protection, they ship the replacement to you, then you ship it back. W/o that, I’m shipping it to them to fix, they ship it back. fingers crossed. 🙂

Great monitor at a steal
Ive been gaming for more than two decades. Ive been told by other gamers that I needed to get a monitor to reduce my screen lag and to increase my field of view. I was resistant for a while and went to local brick and mortar shops to compare devices. I settled on this device a few others. Checking the warehouse I was able to get his monitor for a fraction of the cost of brand new. The monitor arrived and was in excellent condition minus a little dust on the stand. I have yet to find any issue with this device and my kd ratio has increased as well as my response time in sports games.

Amazing monitor
Was a bit on the fence of swapping over to a monitor from my 4k tv at 60hz, let alone to a curved monitor instead of a flat one. I am extremely happy that I decided to get the 34in curved monitor!!! The picture is great, the colors are bright, and the blacks are fairly deep. Also the increase from 60hz on my TV to the 144hz that I’ve been using in my games now are like a night and day difference! 60hz now feels like slow motion! Great choice to pick as a starter monitor for anyone swapping over from playing console or pc games on your TV! Easy to unbox and setup, had plugged in, setup/settings changed, and ready to go in around 10 mins.

skimpy instructions
This exact model was working good for months until the screen would become blank upon startup ,to say that the enclosed instructions or the downloadable information was helpful instead of succint would be an understatement. No where was it indicated that the two enclosed connection cables ( HDMI, Display Port) would both be needed for installlation because it only requires either,or 1only. The correct input info lacked clarification & so did the joysticks functions. Also it would have been helpful if LG would have advised that you needed to download the current & specific monitor drivers from the LG support webpage & to update your own unit’s graphic card, I mistakenly assumed that this was part of their plug & play statement. Thanks to the MS BING webpage it succesfully walked me through my problems which I’ll blame on operator error. But next time I’ll stick to HP.

Great Monitor!
I am really enjoying this monitor. I would love to have a 49inch Ultrawide but this will hold me over without breaking the bank. I game a lot and this is paired with a 7900GRE and the performance has been great. Very high FPS on everything and this monitor can keep up with it.

Great value screen
It does fit a 100mm x 100m mount no problem. I think the screen is really good for the price, it did seem to have some kind of high intensity flickering when it was running off my MacBook at 85 Hz, changing to 50 Hz seemed to solve that though. Color, brightness are fine for my needs, the pixel density isn’t super high but I am not sure you will get much better for anything under $1,000

Two out of three used monitors were good
We ordered three of these used monitors, and two of them shipped missing packing material, we ended up having to return one cuz the screen was already destroyed. But the two that are left seem to be working fine. Don’t think we’ll buy any more used gear.

For $250, i’d say this is a great deal. If you’re looking to replace / add a new monitor in your workspace I highly recommend this monitor. It’s great for gaming if you play games like FFXIV and other RPG games that support widescreen, it makes a world of difference! You can see more of the environment!

Excellent monitor
I am extremely happy with this monitor. I just bought a new gaming PC and wanted to upgrade from my 1080p 75 hz monitor. I chose a VA and 2k as I use it for work as well and had some concerns about 4k for productivity tasks, the clarity and contrast are a massive upgrade from my 27″ samsung. I am super glad I went with ultrawide it’s a game changer. I had heard some people voice concerns about it being TOO wide for FPS or MOBA’s. I haven’t played any MOBA’s lately but if anything the extra screen space is a bonus in FPS and definitely so in any other types of games. It fills my peripheral vision and creates a much more immersive experience.CON: There is just a single one, the HDR looks great but does causing some washing out in parts of the screen. As an example my menu’s in Baldur’s Gate 3 look super washed out with it on. I think they knew this though as they have a “HDR Effect” option that comes pretty close to actual HDR without the washout. All in all it’s a fantastic monitor for 350$. To do much better you will have to spend significantly more.

Great monitor, but maybe stay away if you don’t have controlled lighting.
This thing is about 300 nits, which is slightly dimmer than my old monitor. On HDR it gets to or maybe a bit above 400 nits.I have no complaints. For $250 a monitor of this size and quality felt like theft. My last one (a “cheap” 35″ Sceptre ultrawide at 100 Hz) was nearly $400 and it wasn’t as nice as this one.Yes, this panel is VA. If this is a problem for you, it is what it is. I like it, and VA ghosting has never bothered me. I’m impressed by the color quality and the rich deep black levels, as well as bright whites. Color calibration was fairly good out of the box, thought color saturation needed a bit of an increase to get it to good. All the settings are easily accessible in the menus.Image quality is good, refresh rate options are fantastic. Ghosting is minimal compared to my previous display. I’ve never been particularly bothered by it, but some are. But this one seems pretty good with that for a VA panel, and works great on the default (fast) response setting without much or any overshoot. Don’t use the “faster” setting though, it’s terrible and has very bad overshoot there. This may be a poor choice if you’re not in a light controlled environment. I have smart lights scheduled based on time of day, but not everyone is doing stuff like that. In daytime use on very bright days if I have windows open and such, ambient light can be such that I need to set the brightness to 80 or even 100, but under normal circumstances I generally have it at 60. One complaint about the brightness is it seems like the backlight *is* the brightness level, there’s no separate adjustment for software brightness and backlight control. Also, I’ve seen reviews saying the HDR sucks and don’t bother. I mean, that’s probably true if you’re comparing it to something like a modern LG OLED TV (I have a C1, and I get it) but honestly, It looks pretty good to me. I played some Resident Evil 3 remake on this and was pleasantly surprised by how good it looked in HDR. Given it’s HDR400, it’s not going to win any awards, but it’s fine.Overall I feel like I got more than my money’s worth on this display, and barring any near future hardware failures, I’d happily buy another.

Cheap, big and reasonable DPI but does have some pesky motion blur
Overall, if this can be found for less than $300 its a large inexpensive monitor whose flaws can be overlooked for the value as an OLED is about three times more expensive.Pros:- Large, approx 100DPI. Enough pixels for many users while placing less demands on the video card compared to 4K.- Supports high refresh rates up to 160 hz with Freesync/Gsync support.- No blatant dead pixels when quickly viewing the patterns on “dead pixel check” while in the dark.- Comes with a displayport cable so its ready to use with any computer/device with full sized displayport.- Immersive for games, and makes half-maximizing by dragging a window to left/right edge useful.- Much darker blacks than IPS. (If you think it looks washed out make sure the test image is actually straight black and not a gray). Dark reader makes it gray.Cons:- Ghosting very obvious using “UFO test: ghosting” especially when following the UFOs. Otherwise its there when you look for it, but it doesn’t bother me enough to pay 3x more for an OLED.- Power consumption is a bit high (30w) but that comes with the size. An OLED is worse.- Has a power brick but its well shaped to avoid blocking adjacent outlet. An IEC 13C is preferable especially if used in a work environment (so all cords are interchangeable). It does mean that a failed power supply can be replaced by the user.- The last row of pixels is not dead, but has weird viewing angle. This can make the blue bar at bottom of win 10 task bar items (indicating they are open/active) not visible at a normal viewing angle for the rest of the pixels. Its almost as if the panel is curled down/away from user for last couple rows of pixels. Not an issue with the monitor itself, but would be nice if MSFT would have a 1/3 maximized shortcut. Browser or office application windows 1/2 maximized are a bit too big (with long reading lines or lots of dead black space). Full screen maximized is way too big.

Decent Monitor at this Price!
I have been using this monitor for a while now (almost 3 months), and it has performed pretty well. Haven’t really used it for heavy gaming purposes but I think this will still perform for decent FPS gaming. The monitor has a pretty visible curve which is nice and the wide 34 inch screen helps multi-task a lot, specially if you’re working on a Mac. I’m pretty happy with the display, the darks are nice as this is a VA display, a bit of color inaccuracy in comparison to Mac screens but that’s acceptable/obvious. Bought it in a sale for $250, happy with the product.

Great Monitor for the price
I love the monitor, contrast and refresh rate are amazing. The HDR is meh at best, but HDR support still isn’t a thing for most monitors and is almost exclusivly the domain of televisions. It seems to have been a quiet launch a couple years ago to use up some workstation panels and some Ultragear monitor stands LG had left in stock. So it’s not the absolute greatest monitor, but for $250 on sale I’m not disappointed at all.I have experienced little ghosting unless it’s purple moving across black and little to no overshoot. Though text and stars do present some issues when in motion, so I would not recommend this for anything like coding or games like No Man’s Sky/Elite Dangerous/Star Citizen etc…While there are better panels in this price range, I’ve no regrets, if you can deal with the normal cons of VA panels you’ll have no trouble.I have mine set to run at 144hz instead of 160 and have the brightness set to 85 and that reduced the VA issues to nothing save for text and stars as mentioned previously. Also the color is a bit off out of the box, crank the rgb settings to 62 and it’s as near as it can be to perfect. All in all a good purchase.
