About this item
【𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐰𝐢 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐬】Driven by the pursuit of extraordinary audio reproduction, at Kiwi Ears, we create the perfect amalgam of technological innovations with refined tuning strategies. With musicians and studio engineers particularly in mind, we are on an uncompromising quest to produce the finest professional In-Ear Monitors that will reveal every nuance in your music and performance.
【𝐀 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜, 𝐑𝐞-𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝】The Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite was built on the same foundation as the original Orchestra, yet redesigned to be more efficient, both in performance and cost. The Orchestra Lite features the same 8 balanced armature driver configurations and the famed tonal balance as its predecessor including two custom ultra tweeters for the treble, four custom mid-range balanced armature drivers for the mids, and two subwoofer drivers for the lows.
【𝐀 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝】The Orchestra Lite utilizes a three-way passive crossover strategy to achieve intricate layering and reduce total harmonic distortion. The bass has been restricted to sub-bass frequencies, with a peak of 8dB volume from 20Hz to 200Hz. The mids region is retained at neutral, with only a 1dB difference from 200Hz to 800Hz. The treble has been perfectly matched with the human ear’s pinna perception, with a 7dB peak at 2.5kHz and a slow natural decay towards 10kHz.
【𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞】The most important factor of the Orchestra Lite was to preserve a natural and balanced tonal signature as its predecessor. Furthermore, in order to be suitable for professional musicians and audio engineers, through the three-way passive crossover strategy, the Orchestra Lite perfectly reflects the sound of professional studio monitors and is the perfect companion to stage musicians, audio engineers, and music enjoyers who want to listen to music as it was intended.
【𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞】The Orchestra Lite has been paired with a 4-core 7N oxygen-free copper cable to best enhance its sound. The cable was intentionally designed to be light and comfortable for stage or portable use and is fitted with a removable 2-pin connection for cable swapping. The stock cable comes standard with a 3.5mm plug suitable for any modern electronic device.

I’m sticking with over-ear headphones…
This was my first experience with IEM earbuds so take this review with a grain of salt. I’ve been using a pretty good set of over-ear phones for portable use for six years and I love them. I read the reviews of this in an online roundup of budget IEMs and decided I’d give it a try. For the money, the sound is indeed very good. But for me, other issues led me to return the product. One, the plug is a bit too wide to fit into the jack on my phone because of the phone case. I can jam it in and it stays in but this is a drawback. Second, I tried all three sizes of the supplied eartips and couldn’t get a good fit. They just didn’t stay inserted for a good seal and I got tired of continually pushing the tips in to get the full bass sound. And third, the cables always gets tangled when not in use. Very annoying to have to untangle it every time I grab the product to leave the house and listen on the go.So I’m sticking with my really good over-ear headphones. Despite the bulkiness of them for travel, they’re easier to use.

A Musicians Review
These sound really good. Im a bass player and use them for in ear monitoring in live music situations. They have somewhat a “V” shaped Eq signature but the bass isn’t overwhelming. It has very nice low extension all the way into the 20hz range and you can really hear it. The cable that comes with the pair is pretty nice even tho I did notice that the end tip seemed loose in my 1/8 to 1/4 adapter. My biggest gripe would be the included tips. They’re the same tips just in different colors. I’d like to see more of a variety of tips, luckily I had some. Only time will tell as far as quality is concerned but Overall I’m pretty happy with my purchase.

Worth it for ~30 bones..
IEMs are different from earphones or headphones. When I first tried these, I was very disappointed. My Airpods classic (earphones) sounded better and were way more comfortable. People would probably say that I didn’t let them burn in… But, they were bright.. Lots of upper mids and highs with no bottom. The silicone tips were uncomfortable until I bought some foam ones. Soundstage isn’t wide. These aren’t like a great set of headphones. Imaging is very good. The remain in my ear well and the aftermarket foam tips are comfortable and there is consequently more bass since the IEMs stay in my ear. Overall, they are worth the low price they are being sold for but don’t expect miracles.

Can’t go wrong for the price … pretty, pretty good.
At this price point – they blow the doors off of the standard white ones that come with your phone. These in-ear monitors are not the be all end all, and if you have a high fidelity sound system at home these won’t even come close to comparing, but for the price the quality of sound is hard to beat. I wouldn’t write home about them, but I don’t mind wearing them for extended periods and the sound is pretty good. High frequencies not super clean, and there is a lack in lower range frequencies – they also lack a “fullness” on the bottom end, but you totally get what you pay for here and these just sound pretty, pretty good (for the price)

This iem punches above its price point!
It is considered a warm iem which is nice especially if you are in a laid back mood. The treble is tame yet detailed and at the price point, the cadenza is unmatched. The cable is lightweight and comfortable especially with the plastic slider. I even use the cable on more expensive item’s since it’s so comfortable. I can comfortably where this while at the gym or outside working since it is a bit affordable.

Best $35 I ever spent!
For context I bought the 7hz Dioko about a year ago. Last month the right ear piece started losing volume. After extensive research I decided to look at the cheaper end of the IEM market and came across the Cadenza. These blow away my Diokos and the perfect balance of bass, mids, and treble for the music I listen to (rock/metal). They’re extremely light and comfortable. The cord is also pretty good also, and I’ve had no issues with tangling. I highly recommend giving these a go.

Not New. They were great for about 5 minutes, then the bass was gone.
EDIT:I upped my rating from three stars to FIVE stars because the vendor (LINSOUL STORE) is top-notch. They showed excellent communication and a willingness to correct my problem. I wholeheartedly recommend them and these Kiki Cadenza IEMs. Incidentally, I also tried the FiiO JD7 IEMs, which are also excellent but significantly less comfortable than the Cadenza for medium-small ears. The Kiwi Cadenzas are excellent IEMs. You may also want to try some tip-rolling with the Spinfit W1 if you are not enamored with the stock tips, but the Cadenzas come with three sets of tips, which is a great starting point. The cable is also much better than the one that comes with the more expensive FiiO JD7 IEMs.I’m new to IEMs. I use Apple Earpods (earbuds) and Sennheiser HD 599 (over-ear headphones).I purchased these IEMs because I read good reviews about them.Got them today. They were not new. There were fingerprints all over them. Not even clean.I tried them on, and they sounded great, better than the Apple EarPods (more full-bodied, more bass, equally pleasing and non-fatiguing), but the silicone tips are a pain to put on (it took me 15 minutes). The second time I put them on, the bass was gone. They appear to be defective.Caveat emptor.

Wow. Just…wow.
I was looking for a pair of wired earbuds for an old iPod I discovered in the back of my desk drawer. I was unfamiliar with IEM earbuds but after learning a bit about them and an article talking about the quality of these decided to give them a try. I am blown away by the sound. It’s not immediately noticeable but as I listened to music a whole range of subtlety opened up in songs I knew well. What a delight! It felt like discovering music all over again! My only problem now is if these break and I have to go back to standard earbuds. …better get a second pair. Lol

Fantastic sound quality…
These are by far my favorite IEMs without going custom. The sound stage from these is incredibly impressive. If you have to have a lot of bass these probably aren’t for you. If you like even, balanced tones ranging through the highs, mids and a nice thick bass bottom that doesn’t overpower everything, these are absolutely fantastic.

Best earbuds
These are the best earbuds for gaming! My husband has switched from expensive brand like astros to these kiwi ears and he absolutely loves them! He says they are the best audio he has ever had! He can hear better on his games and streams! I would say if you have smaller ears they fit a little big but still doable!

I was a skeptic…
I have a hard time with my narrow ear canals and have avoided IEMs for some time because of this. My everyday listening headphones are Dan Clark ÆON 2 Noires. This is after a stint with some Focal Clears that had some driver issues and I just wasn’t overall impressed with the fatiguing nature of them. I am a huge fan of the Aeon sound signature. I drive them with a Topping DX5 or occasionally with a FiiO BTR7 in a pinch. If you know what this stuff is you can get a sense of my taste of sound signature.I did a ton of research for my first set of good quality IEMs but had low expectations for both fit based on my ear canals and for sound– how could IEMs really compete with over-ears I thought. I used the small silicone tips provided with these and incredibly surprised that the fit is comfortable and I get a good seal. The sound stage and detail on these things is off the charts good for the money. I’m possibly a convert here and I am now worrying that the Aeons will start to collect some dust.If you’re on the fence about these, don’t be. It’s unlikely you’ll be disappointed unless you have serious fit problems with IEMs in general. The value here is really quite impressive.

BUY THEM.
I compared the following right out of the box:Kiwis (product being reviewed)Truthear HEXATruthear ZEROKiwis came out on top.First of all, the Zero is dead last, honestly was disappointed and really wanted to love these IEMs because of the beautiful style, but It feels like the design team did more work than the engineers👀. They sound muddied up by the compensation in the low frequency bass lines. Honestly, it’s like they’re trying too hard to deliver heavy hitting kicks and they just muddy up the ENTIRE TRACK. Simply don’t buy these. They’re not the move. Even if you’re a bass head(dubstep), DnB or house head, the claps and vocals are too muddied.Hexa, I may keep these even though they’re not first place; one of those things were I feel like I may need to keep trying for a day or too. The lows are good and the highs are excellent. Blows my mind that the kiwis (less than $40) compete with these. Overall great delivery in audio. I feel the music in the lows and hear all the very subtle mid and highs as I believe the performer(s) wanted me to hear them. I may produce with these instead of the kiwis….. yeah I’m keeping them.Kiwis are #1 ☝🏼!Just buy them. I promise you if these are your first IEMs or 5th IEMs, you need to listen to what “The Standard” should be coming in at less than $40. I will be performing with these. Period.

Great sound, terrible construction
Crystal clear sound tuned just about perfectly to the Harman curve, but the construction feels cheap and the connector ports aren’t recessed into the IEM chassis to help securely retain them.

This pair of IEMs are awesome!
This pair of IEMs are awesome! They are excellent and rated highly! They are excellent for the audiophile with music as well as gaming. The quality is better than any headsets that I’ve used before.I heard great reports from others and that gave me the desire to give them a try…and they were much better than I expected, and I’m really picky with my soundThey are comfortable in every way, and I would buy them again. I bought the clear color and they look very nice.I highly recommend these!

Surprisingly Great and worth it for the price!
I’m pleasantly surprised! I have a pair of A&K x EE Odyssey’s which are premium high End IEMs and they are incredible! I’m not comparing the two, but this isn’t my 1st foray into IEMs. I purchased these because I had been looking for two things for my travels, a good sounding IEM and TWS earphones. I have found both. I watched a review on YT that said these were really good, and the testing was with non audiophiles. The test was between IEMs based on various price tiers. After watching, I’m thinking, “how good could they be for $35 bucks?”. I was expecting sub par/mediocre, but I am pleasantly surprised by these. They are actually good! If you’re an audiophile, you’ll complain about the mids/highs, soundstage, bass etc., but if you want a fun IEM with some great bass (lots of sub bass) for an insanely cheap price, these are what you want. I have no regrets! These will be great for travel in addition to my Svanar Wireless TWS’.If you’re on the fence with these because it’s your first IEM, or simply because you’ve never tried this brand, for $35 bucks you won’t be disappointed. I would also add that you may want to upgrade your ear tips. Full disclosure, I’m a bit partial on ear tips, so I didn’t even try the tips they provided, I use JVC EPFX10 Spiral Dot Earpieces and they are fantastic. Pricey, yes, fantastic, yes. The ear tips that come with this IEM may be good, heck I dunno, I haven’t tried them haha!I can’t give them a super high rating on sound quality being an audiophile and such, but it’s not bad at all. I liken them to a clearer sony/bose to my ears. YMMV.Tested (so far) on my iPhone 11 Pro with Apple Dongle. Will test them next on my A&K SP3000.

Love these but please, I repeat get new tips, the tangzu Tang Sancai ear tips transformed these baby’s, with the stock ones to the Sancai what a difference i mean it’s huge! Sounds so much better it’s crazy. As far as gaming i can hear everything, they are literally wall hacks. Soundstage is good, Imagine is amazing.

Quality IEM’s for a affordable price.
I have this and Quartet and the cheaper ones feel just as good physically and audio. I cant wait to save up and get the orchestra lite. For me the audio is clear for gaming, I play mostly FPS games and having these have been superb. Music has been good as well, I don’t feel it has a strong BASS but I am OK with that as I mostly have these for gaming.

Used Product
Seller helped correct the issue and I received a sealed new set. Based on the first few hours of usage these IEMs seem very balanced which lends to a pleasant listing experience. I also find them very comfortable.Product appears used. There are scrapes on the inside of the box and I can see earwax on one of the buds and two of the tips. Will be returning since I paid for a new product.

Liking these
Nice IEM with a good selection of tips, I am not reviewing this with the included tips, it was not about a bad fit from them, I just receive better audio with my Clarion Replacement tips. These have a nice bass, a good thump not bass head level but a clean sound, I do not sense much bleed into the mids. The mids a flat or a little reassessed, but not to a point of being too thin. The highs are there and they do not get fatiguing as I find most V shaped iem’s. All in all these give a pleasant listen and not bad price to performance ratio. I enjoy that the treble was pulled back a little and dos not come across harsh. These are easy to drive, even if direct from a 3.5 jack, if your phone still has one. A good dongle like the iFi Go Link gives them a little more juice and helps fill them out.

Great bang for the buck
Audio enthusiasts, this is a great time to be alive. Audio quality that was once practically unobtainable for folks on a budget is now within reach. Planar magnetic headphones for $100? Yes, please. Harman-tuned IEMs for under $50? Take my money!I’ve tried various IEMs in this price range and most are an incredible experience for those of us that grew up listening with crappy headphones. But, I digress. These IEMs absolutely fit this bill. Their frequency response is great across the entire range. Very good bass, “realistic” mids, and nice uppers (“airiness”). My only complaint, and this is an issue for me with many IEMs, is that they can be a bit “shouty” (somewhat elevated upper midrange) with some content. Nothing that isn’t easily solved with some subtle EQ, though, if necessary. If these were the only things I had for listening to music for the rest of my days, I would be OK with that.

Better than Audeze Maxwells
I wanted these to play Warzone. I have the Audeze Maxwells, and I cannot hear that much detail from them. These are much better. I can listen to the position accurately. The seal inside the ear is tight, but I haven’t felt any pain is just a sensation like being under water.

Great value
For $35.00 you get super comfortable, light weight, good looking and great sounding IEM. Take about 3dB off at 3kHz (attenuate by 3dB at 3000Hz) to ease the text book Harman ear gain a bit and you have a super laid back IEM that presents music better than anything at twice the price. Don’t think that you need multiple transducers to reproduce music correctly. There is a certain cohesion to the sound of a high quality single full-range driver that is hard to beat. See single driver planars for parallels. This single driver IEM does the cohesion thing indeed very well.

Sounds great with iPod classic
Great sounding IEMs with my iPod classic. I swear my music is more detailed when listening through these compared to my generic Bluetooth buds. I think the ear tips aren’t great and none of the sizes fit my ears that well. The cables are also not that great and always get twisted up despite best efforts. But overall great value and the design is really cool.

.My First IEM
These are the ones that got me into the hobby. I now own several pair of IEMs. Some better than others, but I enjoy the hobby. I took off 1 star because after some time, for whatever reason, the 2 pin connectors become loose and the IEM has a tendency to fall off. Not sure why since I don’t switch out cables frequently on these. It’s a flaw I think Kiwi Ears needs to address because I’ve heard of similar complaints concerning this issue. Overall tho, these are very good sounding, single dynamic driver that’s perfect for entry level for anyone interested just getting into the hobby. Kiwi Ears, if you’re listening, please address the connection issue and hopefully offer a fix for those who have bought your product. It’s a known problem, so please do right by your customer base. Thank you!

Finally Earphones That Don’t Hurt or Fall Out
As someone with odd shapes ears, and an incredibly annoying sensitivity in their ears, these are amazing. I can listen for hours with no discomfort, which is a first for me. In a wireless world, I love the braided cables that keep these in my ear safely. Would buy again.

They melted down your Portapros and poured them into an IEM
Mid, High heavy, with highly detailed sound and while not particularly heavy, slamming base. These are your grunge, hard rock, metal, shredding, riffing, dubstep, big band, big beat iems. If it’s loud and proud, it will shine here. Good for any kind of hype music. Suffers on soundstage, I didn’t much care for them with acoustic bands that do better with open headphones, but when it comes to bringing the chaos, they bring it.

Amazing IEM, especially for the price
I bought these Cadenza IEMs while they were on sale for $28 as an upgrade from my Salnotes Zero IEMs. I was expecting a small improvement considering they didn’t cost much more than the Zeros did. I plugged them into my Discman D-33 and was amazed how good the audio quality was. I’ve used far more expensive earbuds from Samsung, Bose and JBL, as well as similarly priced KZ ZST and Wired Apple Earpods. None of those have as high quality audio as these IEMs do. They look great too, and although this isn’t the most important aspect, it’s still a nice extra nonetheless.

Pretty good earbuds
They are pretty interesting earbuds. I can’t really speak on sound, since it sounds alot like most buds I know. But it does have a weird loop wiring that goes around your ears.As well as the cord length being a little short. But overall, it’s alright You could do worse.

My First Step Into IEM World
Sound:These blow my airpod pros out of the water, and for only $30…The sound is significantly more clean/crisp. I can make out so many more details with these than I could with the airpod pros. The bass is substantial, makes for a really fun listening experience.I can hear the direction where sounds are coming from, main vocals are front and center, background vocals actually sound like they are coming from farther back. Each sound seems separated, synth coming from the left, piano coming from the right, adlibs going from right to left like 8D audio.I rate the sound highly, but can’t give it 5 stars as I know there are even better IEM’s out there that I have yet to experience.Fit and Comfort:The shape and fit is quite comfortable for me. No problems there, which I am happy about because I also ordered another IEM called tangzu wan’er but it’s shape causes pain/discomfort around the antihelix part of my ear.Good seal and isolation with the right tips.I like the wire these come with, very flexible and the material feels nice, hooks around my ears nicely and doesn’t cause discomfort.Design:The design of the faceplate is tasteful, I like it. It is a bit hard to see unless you are in a brightly lit area though.I also value aesthetics not only sound, which is why I chose these over other iems around this price range.

Best IEM’s
Kiwi Ears Orchestra LiteAfter owning every pair of studio headphones from Sennheiser I wanted to try IEM’s. I will say these didn’t disappoint.Quality: Very well built. Well made. even the cable that came with them is well made for the audio people in mind.Sound: These I would like to call “fun” sounding. Which is what i look for when it comes to headphones or earbuds really anything when it comes to audio. They are not flat there is bass present but its not over powering. They are more natural sounding. separating sound you can hear everything going on. the sound stage is so good you feel like you are right there hearing in person. These are closed off. You wont hear anything that’s going on in your house or the outside world. some might not like that or not want it which is understandable. These will handle whatever you throw at it. I have listen to metal, pop, jazz, R&B, dubstep ect.. and they just sound amazing and fun. If you give these a shot I know you will love them. right out of the box and to putting them on listening to that first song i was blown away how powerful and sounding they are.Fit: okay so they will take a bit to get use too. Knowing they go in the ear having the right ear tips is a must. The ones they come with are good but not great so with these i ordered Comply Premium Tips. They are memory foam tips and they form to your inner ear. which they come in 3 different sizes. I would recommend buying these with the lites. otherwise these fit perfect in the ear after a few days of use i don’t really know they’re in my ear.Packaging: Outstanding well padded and comes with extra ear tips and a cable and case to hold everything. The box they came in is well made and gives you a peace of mind that everything is safe.Overall: If you love audio, Music, Gaming the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite will handle. These are now my daily drivers for everything i do on a daily. YES! I finally hang up my HD 800 and HD58X headphones which been both my dailys for years. The Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite just do everything better. The sound is just to good to give up. I don’t get ear fatigue while wearing these the more i use them i don’t really know they’re in. If your looking for a pair of IEM’s or wanna try them, look no further. they are worth every penny $$ I cant say anymore good things about these without sounding like a computer or bot. But really they will not disappoint. these do go on sale you could wait for a prime day or sale and get them then. All in All i very happy owning these and I’ll never own a different pair of IEM’s other then these. I do want to order another pair because they purple color looks AMAZING!!! I got the blues which is just as good.JUST BUY THEM! AND SEE WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!!!!!

Endgame IEM
The Orchestra Lites gave me nearly the same feels as the 1st time I put Focal Clears on my head after a borderline psychotic rabbit hole dive that had me buying every set of hyped cans from SHP9500, X2HR, HD58X, Sundara, AD700, AD700X, AD900X, K701, K702, DT990, DT900X, HD560S, to R70x (still my fav for FPS gaming) & more, including some IEMs, such as KZ ZSN, 1MORE Triple, VR3000, Crin Zero, IE200… I liked the Zero’s enough to hang on to them at $50, but wasn’t impressed with the soundstage and thus disappointed for gaming, as with any IEM before it. I had given up on gaming with IEMs until Fresh Reviews waxed poetic about the Kiwi O Lite. And I can’t thank him enough! The Orchestra Lites are blowing me away with their incredibly big stage (for an IEM) and imaging, as well as detailed, clean, natural sound. They are nearly Clear Lites! One test I like to use is Lithium by Evanescence (Synthesis album version) starting at 2:45 where Amy Lee’s voice is extra emotional and goes high up into her prodigious register… Many cans & buds can’t handle this passage, making her sound pitchy and distorted. Only two of the dozens of ‘phones I’ve heard has done Amy Lee justice: Focal Clear and Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite. One of my favorite soundstage tests is Crossing by Yosi Horikawa… With the O Lites, the passing moped in the very beginning appears off in the distance to your left, drives right through your head, and fades INCREDIBLY far beyond your right shoulder. Most IEMs and even many cans place this mostly inside your head, perhaps out to your shoulders. Meanwhile the O Lites do a wonderful job of placing you right in that environment. Not surprising wide open cans like Clear & R70x can do that. Stunning when an IEM does it.Another test I enjoy is Chocolate Chip Trip by Tool. Again Kiwi O Lites do an amazing job of circling the bells, percussion, and then synth around and around your head OUTSIDE your ears. And though I’m no bass-head and the Lites are technically a tad light in bass (sub bass really) when Daniel Carey starts hitting the double bass drum around 3 minutes in, it’s clean and accurate with PLENTY of slam.Every popular test track, from Thriller, Nil Lofgren’s Live performance of Keith Don’t Go, Hotel California Live, The Holy Men, Sentenza Del Cuoro, Bubbles by Horikawa, Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, Limehouse Blues, Mombasa, etc. sounds excellent on the O Lites and checks every box, be it stage, imaging, bass, midrange, treble, dynamic range, detail, etc. I like to sprinkle “Binaural Recording (Test Only)” by myNoise in a few random places on my list just to see if the door knocks startle me or even make me 2nd guess if someone is really at the door… The O Lites get me EVERY time. You swear someone is actually knocking at the door because the sound comes from the walls of your room. No other IEM has done this for me before. I do like the Crin Zeros for overall sound quality, esp for $50, but they can’t put sound outside my head like O Lites somehow can.I should mention that initially I had a problem with the supplied gray tips, getting horribly weak bass (I may have not installed them properly over the large O-Lite nozzles) but found the stock white tips to be comfortable and sound great. However based on many suggestions online to upgrade Kiwi’s tips, I tried SpinFit W1 and the uniquely shaped Dunu S&S tips (which fortunately fit my ear canals very well.) My choice is easily the S&S which open up the soundstage even wider, as well as improve bass over both the stock & W1 tips. Now for gaming, I honestly still do prefer open backs, especially the R70x. But honestly this is partly because I don’t like my voice coming from inside my head, even with mic monitoring and partly so I can hear my girlfriend when she asks me a question while gaming… But these are the first IEMs I’ve ever been impressed with for either situational awareness in a shooter or immersion in an RPG. I bounce back & forth between these & the R70x when solo in multiplayer COD… The R70x clearly has the bigger stage and a better sense of distance and verticality. The O Lites give you slightly better “tinglers” when footsteps are near or gunfire is in the distance. However both are excellent overall. The O Lites have the advantage of being able to plug directly into your controller and still being able to get loud enough for anyone plus with no loss in dynamics. Meanwhile the 470Ω impedance R70x’s will need a good amp to fully open up its massive soundstage potential as well as get loud enough for most tastes. Lately I’ve been playing God of War: Ragnarök quite a lot. Plugging directly into PS5 controller, I go with either Focal Clear or the O Lites. Both sound beautiful & convincingly place me in the environment along with PS5’s superb 3D Audio. It’s hard to pick a favorite here, which is a huge testament to $250 O Lites being comparable to near kilobuck (& originally $1500) Focal Clears!Just as the Clears finally put a stop to my headphone rabbit hole insanity, I feel the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite is the easy and logical stopping point for IEMs (at least for anyone who cashes a paycheck and doesn’t have a trust fund.) As obsessive as I can be chasing something better, I can hardly imagine what little diminishing returns that are left being be worth another $100, let alone $1000 or more. Sorry Jeff, I’m done buying IEMs. Found my endgame at last!

Great Single Dynamic Driver IEM
The Kiwi Ears Cadenza is an excellent if not earth-shattering IEM. If you already own a well-reviewed IEM released in the last year at $50 or less, there is no need to pick this up. However, I would personally pick the Cadenza over the CCA CRA+ for a sub-$40 starter IEM because of how similar the Cadenza’s midrange tuning is to the Moondrop S8.SOUND:The Kiwi Ears Cadenza has a U-shaped tuning that is reminiscent of the Moondrop S8, just with more bass. The Cadenza has fair sub-bass extension, though it would benefit from increased sub-bass quantity. There is a moderate amount of impact to percussion hits. The bass is very textured and more resolving than I would expect at this price point. Bass dynamics are excellent, but bass articulation is a little sluggish. When listening to hard rock, such as the song “First Punch” by Nothing More, I found that bass guitars were more prominent in the mix than with many other IEMs. I do hear a hint of mid-bass bleed. The Cadenza has a vocal-centric midrange with a prominent pinna gain region centered at 3 kHz. Midrange instrumentation generally takes a back seat to male vocals when both are present. The main exception is percussion, which the Cadenza does an exceptional job of rendering. On the song “Unshakeable” by Celldweller, I can clearly hear the first half of a drum fill at 1:24 which is typically obscured by synthesizers. Male vocals are clear, full-bodied, and gritty. Female vocals are noticeably more prominent than male vocals and are vibrant without being sibilant. Vocal intelligibility is excellent for both. The Cadenza has terrific timbre. The Cadenza has a middle-of-the-road treble response that splits the difference between smooth and energetic. The Cadenza has moderate upper treble extension, with less sparkle or air than I would like. Detail retrieval is better than the $35 price point would suggest and is closer to what I would expect from a $50 IEM. Instrument separation is average at best, and the soundstage is on the small side.SOURCES:I have used the Kiwi Ears Cadenza with the following sources:Qudelix 5KHidizs S9Apple DonglePACKAGING AND ACCESSORIES:The Kiwi Ears Cadenza comes in a small rectangular black box with a dark blue slipcover. Technical specifications for the Cadenza are provided on the side of the slipcover in English. The IEMs are held inside the box in a foam mounting sheet. The detachable cable, included eartips, and user manual are stored underneath this mounting sheet. The Cadenza includes nine pairs of eartips in three color schemes (3xS, 3xM, 3xL). The eartips are seemingly identical apart from the color. The Cadenza does not include a carry pouch or case.BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN:The Kiwi Ears Cadenza has black resin housings. The faceplates feature a swirling pearlescent pattern underneath a lacquer topcoat. There are circular vents adjacent to the 2–pin connector and at the base of the nozzle. The nozzles have perforated metal covers and substantial lips to secure eartips. The finish at the base of both nozzles has started wearing off on my unit. The 2-pin connectors are flush with the housings. It was extremely difficult to insert the 2-pin connector on one side. There are no directional indicators on the housings. The cable is wrapped in a spiral pattern below the Y-split and uses twin double-helix patterns above it. The cable hardware is a mix of dark rubber and polished grey metal alloy. The 3.5mm jack uses an L-shaped form factor. There is substantial strain relief above the jack but none at the Y-split. There is a rubber chin adjustment choker. The cable uses pre-formed earguides. Large “L” and “R” indicators are printed on the 2-pin connector housings in white.COMFORT, FIT, AND ISOLATION:The Kiwi Ears Cadenza is intended to be worn cable-up. The earpieces have a moderate insertion depth. The Cadenza is very comfortable, but isolation and secureness of fit are fairly poor. The earpieces require frequent readjustment to maintain a good seal. There is also substantial driver flex if the IEMs are inserted too deeply.AMPLIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND SOURCE PAIRING:While it is possible to power the Kiwi Ears Cadenza with the Apple dongle, I had to use a volume setting of 22/25 on Android to reach my typical listening volume with Spotify Volume Normalization set to “Normal.” I recommend using a different source without the Apple dongle’s hardware volume limitations if you regularly use an Android device. I did not notice hiss with any of my devices.

very natural and correct sounding.
If you are looking for a pair of items that sound natural with a good mix of all the frequencies you can’t go wrong with this iem. The bass is pretty good, even if it’s not the focus of this set, could be stronger but when it is needed it sounds good and strong enough. It’s some of the most natural sounding bass I’ve heard. Vocals are what this set excels at, especially watching YouTube and listening to podcasts or YouTube figures talking in general. In songs and movies they sound very natural and correct, it can even sound like they are talking to you in person If the recording is good enough. Treble is also very tasteful but I’d say that’s where these are not the main focus of, it has very nice and realistic sounding treble for cymbals and all that, but would probably disappoint a treble head, but I personally love it, it comes out when needed and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome bascially. These shine a lot more on a proper dac/amp using these straight through my laptop 3.5 plug they sound good, but are noticably less detailed and the bass is worse, so test these on an dac/amp not just though a weak laptop plugin, they like some power to really impress.I’d say the one major flaw these has is the comfort, they are not vented and if you are not careful they will create a painful suction to the inside of your ear, the stock tips are honestly the best when it comes to not doing this, but that’s cause they take practice to get a decent seal. But they sound good with a good seal and I’d they don’t create too much suction I’m your ear. Don’t let people tell you “oh different tips will fix them” they don’t usually it’s the opposite they create more suction and would be extremely painful, so stay with stock tips or be careful with your tip rolling. Other than that these are some of the best you can buy, and worth it even with the comfort issue (just be careful with putting them in and out of your ears)

Spicy Yet Excellent
Bass: As with most sets <$100, the bass is probably the focus of these. These have a relatively mild V-shape but don't go overboard. They actually have a really nice punch. These have a more subbass focused with some a hint of a midbass punch. While I prefer a stronger midbass presence, these are undoubtedly exciting to listen to. Luckily, these don’t exhibit a strong softness either. They have decent weight to notes and a nice sense of grandness to it. Texture to the bass is generally pretty decent also but nothing exceptional. Overall though, these are done quite well.Mids: The midrange is tuned well but has some tradeoffs. Tuned rather flat with a bump to vocals which is where some problems start to show. Vocals are generally positioned close, though female vocals stand out easier. Male vocals sound a little “recessed” in comparison, but generally have a nice warmth to them. I put quotations as it is just relative to female vocalists. Electric guitars have a nice edge to them without sounding overly sharp. Flute instruments sound rather pleasant as well. String instruments sound forward but not overly done. With that being said, male vocals seem to be the weak point of the mids if you are looking forward male vocals. Solid performance otherwise!Treble: This is where things get spicy. Treble extends quite nicely though starts falling off towards the last octaves. These have a strong presence that can either be your jam or be quite fatiguing. There’s a lot of energy that makes cymbals really pop out, especially in metal tracks. Similarly, violins display a grand sense of ambience/atmosphere which is quite fun. Surprisingly, there is still a slight lack of air, though I expected much worse. Because of its emphasis, these might be a dealbreaker if you want something for longer listening sessions. While not sibilant, these have a hint of harshness to it. If you like treble as much as I do and want an exciting listen, these might be worth considering. If you are treble sensitive you may want to reconsider.Soundstage/Imaging: Staging is decent and imaging is similar if a little worse. Not super wide or narrow and positional accuracy is surprisingly pretty decent even on busier tracks. Nothing too exceptional but it works.Detail/Technical Performance: Solid. Not the most resolving but definitely really good. A step below below the Aria/Titan S but provides more than enough detail.Overall Tuning: I decided to put this here as an additional comparison to similarly tuned IEMS. If you are curious as to what the Shuoer S12 sounds like, these will give you a decent idea. Both are tuned to be a V-Shape, with the S12 providing significantly more details and resolution. Bass is executed more tastefully on the Cadenza while the S12 is more fun and even more exciting to listen to. Treble is quite elevated on both but more so on the S12. Mids are the “weak point” on both.Comfort/Accessories: Superb fit. Comfort is quite excellent as well. The nozzle seems to be on the medium/average size. Nozzle length is great neither being too short nor too long. Accessories are fine. Enough eartips for most to find a good seal. Cable is great! No interchangeable connections but that’s to be expected. More than happy and looks like it can handle some light abuse. I generally don't speak about aesthetics, but I absolutely love the way these look. The colors (I chose purple as it is my favorite color) look stunning and will definitely catch the eyes of others.TLDR; A very fun set that surprised me. These have a wow factor to them that makes them quite enjoyable and worth considering. On the other hand, these can be potentially fatiguing. They have a fun energetic sound that should appeal to many. They’re definitely not perfect, and won’t be a “default recommendation” but if you’re looking to spice things up, these are a great option. Definitely one of my personal favorites under $100! Objectively I would rate these a 4/5, but these are after my treble filled heart. 30 people found this helpful

Bang for buck smooth and fun tuned IEM
This IEM is a fantastic budget choice if you are looking for something that is easy to drive and not a harsh listen over longer listening sessions. The overall tuning sounds fine on most music with no EQ but for less than stellar recordings a slight adjustment to drop the upper midrange a little will take the bite out of the experience if you have treble sensitive ears. I used a spare pair of CP155 Spinfit tips that fit the nozzle but for a tighter fit on the nozzle, the CP145 or W1 tips might be a better choice for a tighter fit over the long term. These compare very favorably to a pair of IEMs in the $200ish range I bought a few years ago so they should be a great choice for a first pair of IEMs on a budget.

Insane value, great sound quality, very nice build quality
The Cadenza has good tuning out of the box, but can benefit from a bit of EQ to have a fuller sound, with more bass quantity and extension. These are really easy to drive, so you can just plug them into a source without an amp. Lows, mids, highs, soundstage, isolation, details, imaging, are all above average in my opinion. The nozzle is pretty wide, so it takes a bit of struggle to install the large selection of included silicon tips. Replace the included eartips with SpinFit CP360 for the best fit and seal, boosting the sound quality further. Make sure to plug the cable in as shown in the picture, with the gold lettering on the left side, facing outwards. The resin that the shell is made out of is very smooth and high quality; looks great as well. The braided cable is not cheap-feeling, doesn’t tangle, and doesn’t have annoying microphonics when it rubs against clothing or your body. Overall, the build quality of the Cadenza is very solid, but lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended listening sessions.I’m more impressed with the Cadenza than most of my IEM collection, a lot of which costs many times more than the Cadenza, since it costs only $35 but performs and feels/looks like an IEM that’s much more expensive. This thing competes with IEMs hundreds of dollars more expensive and have much better technical prowess. The only thing it’s missing is a carrying case or pouch, but I don’t expect it to include extras like a good case at this price range. I store my IEMs in Pelican cases anyway, so it’s not a big deal to me.This is the perfect entry point into Chi-Fi IEM world.

Comfort is king (comprehensive review)
(Important information will be highlighted through ALL CAPS)The Kiwi Ears Cadenzas are a WONDERFUL FIRST IEM, with a COMFORTABLE, ADJUSTABLE FIT, and FAIR SOUND for the price.Sound quality: We will start from the bottom and move up. The SUB-BASS is POWERFUL and PUNCHY (the sound doesn’t bleed into the next notes or echo), and extends nearly as low as 10hz. The BASS LACKS SOME PUNCH, but if you like SMOOTH BASS, this is great for you (electronic music, orchestral, classical etc.). The MIDS are CLEAR, but slightly MUSHY ON THE LOWER SIDE (sound loses some clarity and mixes into the bass). The TREBLE is SLIGHTLY SPARKLY, and VERY CLEAR, with EXCELLENT SEPERATION from the mids due to a slight trough in the low treble, followed by a sizable bump in the high treble. The AIR is ETHEREAL, as it NATURALLY FALLS into silence with high frequencies. You may notice there isn’t much to say about the frequency response, this is because they sound INCREDIBLY NATURAL. As expected with all IEMs, they have a SLIGHTLY NARROW SOUNDSTAGE (soundstage refers to how “wide” the sound is; does it sound like the band is recording in a closet or a stadium), but the IMAGING IS SOLID. (imaging refers to the directionality of the sound. With good imaging and a good recording, you should be able to close your eyes and point to each instrument)Hardware Quality: The MONITORS (a monitor is any piece of equipment meant to replicate sound, in this case, the IEMs themselves) are SOLID, LIGHT, and SLIGHTLY PLASTICY. They have a smooth, glassy finish, which makes them FINGERPRINT MAGNETS. The 2 pin ports for the cable are level, not inset, meaning they MAY BEND AND EVEN SHEAR CABLE PINS if used recklessly (take care of your cables kids). There are NO SHARP SEAMS left from the molding process. The included CABLE feels SLIGHTLY MORE PREMIUM THAN YOU’D EXPECT. The ANGLED PLUG is wonderful, REDUCING THE CHANCE OF DAMAGE through normal use. The cable is NOT NOISY AT ALL (a “noisy” cable is a cable that provides a lot of audio feedback when physically manipulated, such as rubbing against your jacket), and provides a CLEAR ENOUGH SOUND for the price. The included EAR TIPS feel CHEAP and THIN, they are COMFORTABLE ON SKIN, but definitely LACK DURABILITY, and are prone to get damaged if not stored safely. I would recommend replacing them.Comfort: The MONITORS themselves are VERY COMFORTABLE. They sit comfortable in your outer ear, and can also be slid in for a better seal without sacrificing the comfort. The LOW WEIGHT makes them EXCELLENT FOR LONG PERIODS OF USE. I sleep with in ears (big nono, I know), and these are some of my most comfortable for that purpose. The PLASTIC (resin?) is so SMOOTH, you may even forget you’re wearing them. The CABLE is SLIGHTLY ANNOYING. The BOTTOM HALF of the cable is HEAVY, but the split TOP HALF is LIGHT. This causes the BOTTOM TO SAG, putting SLIGHT DOWNWARD PRESSURE on the TOP OF YOUR EARS. It does, however, have a very SMOOTH WEAVE, making it PLEASANT TO HANDLE. The EAR TIPS are SOFT and NON-TEXTURED, making them VERY COMFORTABLE, even if you’re the sort of person to jam them in really deep.Appearance: The COLOR is SLIGHTLY UNDERSTATED, and can be HARD TO SEE IN LOW LIGHT. However, when WELL LIT, they are GLITTERY and APPEALING. The CABLE is SIMPLE AND BLACK. The SHAPE is a little BLOCKY.Conclusion: For the price point, these are an excellent pair of IEMs. The natural sound combined with long term comfort makes them a great choice for daily use. I would recommend these as an introduction to IEMs, as they are very neutral and palatable sounding, but still crisp and have enough range to blow a newcomer away. The understated low bass may be unappealing for some people, if you are searching for a real boom, I recommend the Linsoul BLON Z200. They are cheap, durable, comfortable, and unapologetically bassy.DISCLAIMER:This is all MY OPINION from MY EXPERIENCES. Your mileage my vary. My audio testing was done using:”Fancy Clown” by MF DOOM”The Witch Queen of New Orleans” by Redbone”Leave it” by Yes”Overture…” etc. by Rush (from 2112)I chose these songs to provide a variety of sounds and pitches, if your musical tastes are vastly different from the above media, consider my review with an added pinch of salt.If you do not enjoy these headphones as much as I do, then THAT’S OKAY! We all have different opinions, and that is why different products exist. I can be right about loving them, and you can be right about hating them.

They sound very good for gaming
I originally owned moondrop katos, and while i prefer to use those for listening to music/videos, these kiwi ears take the crown when it comes to gaming. The audio is very clear and non muddied by bass while feeling “personal”. Like the audio isnt on too wide of a spectrum if that makes sense and its easy to judge distance and direction of audio with them. I tested this on a game called Escape from Tarkov and it really does make a world of difference. I would be able to pick up on sounds fairly easily and faster than my teammates. The only cons i would say would be comfort and the size of them. They’re shell is like half a size bigger than the katos. They’re also non-vented, so if you have ear pressure issues then these might not be the best choice. Another thing that isnt that much of an issue to me but might be to others is the fact that the tips dont have a lip for the nibs to stay attached to. This might cause them to pull off if you take them out of your ear. But this hasnt happened to me at all. Overall a very solid choice for an iem, and im surprised that they’re only 250.
