The perfect solution for my small office setup
I have a tiny home and tiny office, so I kee my PS5 and PC in the same space and with the same monitor. This headset works flawlessly to integrate both. I can switch from one to the other with a click! The sound quality is ridiculous – use the Dolby software which is free and search for GadgetryTech’s review on YouTube, where he explains EVERYTHING about this setup, and also has created equalizer presets that are ESSENTIAL for using on PS5 and PC.As far as the mic, sound quality is extraordinary and easily sounds like a streamer setup with zero configurations outside of the defaults. An added bonus is that the Bluetooth connectivity is fantastic, so this is always connected to my iPhone as well.I’m looking forward to many years of use and to add a mac mini to the setup!

It has a couple of drawbacks
I don’t mind the material used for the ears, so far it’s been comfortable.Mic and sound quality are nice,2 drawbacks:1. It doesn’t (my didn’t) come with a required HDMI cable used to connect to the base2. Initial setup is a bit crazy for something simple like a headset, but once it’s done, it hasn’t been bad.So I guess the only reason for not getting 5 stars is because mine did not come with an HDMI cable, but luckily I use the one from my Nintendo Switch since I won’t be playing it while playing Xbox.

Great, but not for the price.
I will say I’ve been slowly getting into the audiophile genre. From dabbling in Audio Technica, Sennheiser, and some other brands. Also, never been a huge fan of Astros. That being said, the audio quality is great. The EQ also helps get that sound you prefer. I’m more of a bass head myself. These tickle that itch, but leave a little more to be desired. However, it’s still by far one of the best sounds for a gaming headset. Now the kicker, these are way too expensive. I get they have a 4K 120hz pass through, and two of them. They are just way too much for the value. You’d have to really need all the functions this offers specifically to make it worth it. I’d say for majority, this isn’t priced right. Go for the previous gen without the pass through. Or even a different brand. Like Steelseries. They sound great as well.

Worth the price
Sound quality is absolutely amazing. Very comfortable and light. Long gaming sessions do not bother your ears. Having the base makes it very easy to charge it.

Exactly what I’m used to and amazing microphone!
I upgraded to these from the previous generation of Astro A50’s. I actually tried a few headsets before purchasing these ones. The other headsets I tried were the VZR Model One, beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X, and SteelSeries Arctis Pro wireless. I ended up returning those headsets and purchasing the Astro A50 X. I’m extremely pleased with my decision. I’m very used to the sound quality and comfort of the Astro A50’s so purchasing this newer model was like riding a bike but better! The sound quality is exactly what I’m used to but even cleaner. By far the biggest improvement is the microphone. I’ve had multiple friends ask if I got a desktop microphone. I previously tried the Elgato Wave 3 which sounds great, don’t get me wrong, but I returned that once I purchased this headset. My friends said the microphone on this headset sounds better than the Elgato mic. This will be my new headset for years to come.My only major complaint is the price. At the time of writing this review, it’s $380 which is much more expensive than other premium tier wireless gaming headsets.

PLAYSYNC AUDIO is the best thing to happen to Astro.
I’ve had a bad experience with Astro due to the poor build quality of prior models. However, using my phone’s Bluetooth audio and PC audio simultaneously has been great. The comfort is great, too. I can wear them for hours and forget they’re on my head.

Best Astros ever made
I’ve used Astro A10, A20, A50 gen 3/4, and now A50x. Hands down this is the best headset (maybe not best for the bank) but everything else money well spent. Mic is amazing, base station has more range than old gens, clarity in sound is awesome, Bluetooth is great for calls, music, and watching videos whiling waiting for your matches. The switch to PC/PS is great. Overall the only things you lose is PC and playstation sound at the same time, and well… that’s about it; everything else is far better. If you have your PC and PS/Xbox next to eachother. Don’t invest in a standing mic for the PC just get this headset. Also keep the base ear cups, anything else makes it sound weird/worse. (So no, you don’t need the cooling gel lol)Side note I tried the Artic nova pro whatever they are called and they are nothing compared to these. A mic test alone will prove my point… don’t even get me started on sound quality.

For a gaming headset they play music pretty well
Ok so i have some music headphones h95 hx8 dali io master and dynamics md75s. And while those all blow these away for music. These are pretty damn good. I was very impressed. Mic works very well. Games sound really good. Of course that’s what they are made for. For damn if I wasn’t surprised by how well they they play music. I switched from a set.of razors kraken which I really liked. But I wanted to ditch the wire. So yah from a guy who would love to be an audiophile one day. Maybe I will win the lottery. These are pretty damn good. Much better then I expected.

Amazing headset, minor issue
So I got the headset, everything was great, the hook up was good (had a few issues at the start, but got those solved). However I couldn’t listen to both my computer and my PS5 at the same time. So I started trying to find out how to fix that. Turned out the blue tooth wouldn’t connect or be seen at all on the computer so I could be able to hear both at the same time. Otherwise this headset was amazing.

Perfect headset for gamers with multiple devcies
The package arrived on time and in perfect condition. I have a gaming computer PS5 and Xbox series X and the setup was very simple. I’ve read of persons having issues with these and some LG TVs but my TV, which is the LG OLED65CXPUA had no issues recognizing the base station and headset. One positive of using this setup is that it frees up HDMI ports on the TV.I first connected the headset to my computer and completed the firmware update. Then I connected all of my consoles to the base station. Once I selected the input source on my TV, it started working on all devices without me having to go into any settings. Switching between the three devices is seamless. Sound automatically starts playing.Turning off the headset allows the sound of my PS5, for example, to automatically switch to Ambeo soundbar via eARC. This was a slight concern of mine as I wasn’t sure if it would work.As for the quality of the audio, it is pretty good thus far. I haven’t played around with the EQ as yet but one of the preset defaults (I can remember which one at the moment), was pretty good. I am sure it will be even better after spending sometime in the EQ settings. All in all, this is the perfect solution for anyone with multiple devices who want to use one headset.

Great Quality Audio
The only thing I wish could be enable is for the A50x’s to be able to listen music from someones PC while in the Xbox mode setting. My old Astro A40’s supported this idea and it seems like a step in the wrong direction for them to remove this functionality. It was seem a software or firmware updaate coudl enable this idea. I konw the xbox series x supports apple music but its just relatively clumky to have navigate the xbox menu to play music compared to a PC KBM

So far so good
This headset is great to use.I like dual connection that let you hear sounds on both devices (base and bluetooth) at the same time when most of headsets doesn’t offer that feature.Flexible headband is a plus.

Very good quality headset
These are really nice and well constructed. They’re replacing some A40s I’ve had for a few years. I’d been hesitant to go wireless due to fears of the battery finally dying and not holding a charge but I found out these are replaceable if the need arises. They hold a charge well and last for about as advertised. Connecting all your devices this can handle does require having the consoles and PC close enough to connect to dock with wires and the various devices to a TV and/or monitor.I tried it once and the audio from my PS5 was crisp and very good but I’ve got it and my PC on different sides of the room and I primary need this for PC use. It does have Bluetooth that works well. Audio quality isn’t as good as it isn’t directly connecting the dock to the PS5 but it’s not bad.I’d highly recommend if you want an upgrade or just want a very good quality headset for your PC or console or both, if they’re close enough to each other. It has simple instructions but watch the video instructions as they’re far more clear.

Beautiful headset that brings me right back to the good old days.
I played for the last 8 hours today on this headset and I am blown away. This is the BEST headset I have ever used.I used the old A40’s for over 10 years. They were a beast of a headset and put me ahead of the competition for years. The only problem was that it was wired. The cord would frey over time and eventually screwed up the mixamp after too many rage induced drops.I decided to get the audio sync only as I have little to no desire to pull up the video at the same time as the audio every time. I tend to play the devices one at a time with no need to switch my HDMI along with it. If needed I can switch it by hand. The headset charged very quickly and was easy to understand out of the box. Watching a YouTube video on the set up might help if you have any questions. The a50s are extremely comfortable and somehow light while retaining their solid feel. The mic quality is unbelievable, you could stream with how good it is. Seriously! Even though they don’t have noise canceling, I cannot head an outside sound while they are on my head.Bluetooth is great and the controls on the side of the headset are a little strange but it only took me a few hours to get used to them. (Such as to mute the microphone you just push it up).The sound quality is amazing for both music and games especially, you can hear footsteps from so far away. I love the Bluetooth feature as well, it’s just such a great headset. If you have the money I’d pull the trigger. If you really need to switch your monitor at the touch of a button get the PLAYSYNC + Audio version. But for me the audio version is perfect. The only problem I have is the Astro command center app for PC but that’s a different matter entirely.

Very good headset with only a couple minor flaws.
First of all the comfortably, style and sound of this headset is great. The ability to switch between output from the headset itself is also game changer for anyone that goes between PS5/Xbox/PC. Bluetooth connectivity is good. The only real gripes I have about it is 1. The volume button placement. If you wear a lot of hoods or collared shirts, you’ll find yourself accidentally turning the headset down CONSTANTLY or you’ll hear it beep frequently indicating you’re trying to turn it up when it’s at full volume. This is pretty annoying, I wish they would have moved the volume wheel to the back side of the left ear to avoid this issue, but it’s whatever. The only other thing is that it automatically mutes your voice in games/discord when you get a phone call. This might be a plus for some people, for me it’s a little annoying since I’ll answer the phone and suddenly go silent on my teammates. Maybe there’s a way to disable this feature, if so I haven’t figured it out, lol. Overall I’m pretty satisfied, I had the PS Pro Elite headset and it lasted less than 4 months before it broke right above the ear piece, the build quality of this headset is much nicer and more durable. Pretty pricey but honestly worth it if it lasts more than a year or two.

The last one you need for the multi device gaming setup
Look no further if you, like me, needed a wireless pair of headphones for gaming across PC and console (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch). This device makes it effortless to switch between them all, and even still pair a phone or other device via Bluetooth at the same time.Functionality is fantastic! Fit is just like the pair of Astros you already have. Battery life is fantastic, and makes the value of the headset really shine. These are comfy, designed well for ease of use, and all the other things you want from a headphone.Last but not least, the sound is top notch. You get hires audio on PC, and great lossless audio on console. The kicker is the automatic Dolby Atmos and the partnership with better integration via Microsoft devices. The new Logitech G hub integration gives just a touch more control than the older Astro Command Center. Community EQ profiles are great addition!

One of the Best in the Gaming World
I have the A50 Gen 4 and the audio is top notch, but was lacking Bluetooth. Bought the A50 Gen 5, which is Logitech’s official label, and I am not disappointed with the quality and audio performance of this headset. I am able to connect to multiple platforms, but I mainly use them on the PC. The best feature is the simultaneous source audio and Bluetooth!! This headset is very versatile when it comes to feature access. The same features on PC/Mac can be accessed on the phone app when using Xbox, PS, or Switch.I love that I can use my current 3rd party ear cushions from my Gen4s on this headset.I have had no issues with my Gen4s, and I assume to have the same experience with the Gen5s.Audio fidelity is a personal preference, and that is why I don’t emphasize on that topic. So, it is my opinion that the audio on these headphones are one of the best that I have heard. The microphone is broadcast quality and can be adjusted to your liking.Battery life is as advertised and expected.Try them for yourself, My guess is that you will be very satisfied with this headset.

Best gaming headphones on the market
Where to begin.Cosmetically, these headphones look awesome and are great quality. The plastic seems to be durable but overall could be a bit better 4/5The hub is amazing. Being able to put the headphones down and charge them whenever without needing a cord is a HUGE gamechanger. You can switch between PC, XBOX, PS5, and Bluetooth seamlessly. 5/5The audio is about as good as it gets for gaming headphones. Audiophiles will want to look towards actual studio headphones instead, as they headphones are really just means for game explosions and sound effects. 4/5Comfort – The stock earphones are wildly comfortable. Very soft and pleasant, and prevent the headaches some headphones can give you. You can also swap them out easily as they are magnetically attached. 5/5Overall, definitely worth the price tag. 5/5

Best Headset on the market! With one caveat
I’ve had the Astro A50X for an about 5 months now and I say this is the best gaming headset money can buy. If youre a multi platform gamer who looking for a headset that will last you years to come and deliver high quality audio I’d highly recommend these. However, there is one minor issue buyers should be aware of regarding the HDMI pass through with Xbox mode.So the HDMI pass through works flawlessly on PS5 at 4k 120 fps, no issues. With Xbox mode, the base station does struggle to out put an audio/video at 4k 120hz with Dolby Atmos/dts for headphones enabled . My guess is it can’t handle both a high resolution and audio bit rate simultaneously. If you would like to use Dolby Atmos/DTS you’ll have to lower your Xbox resolution to 4k 60hz it 1440P 120hz.If you insist on having 4k 120hz you’ll have to forgo using Dolby/dts abd stick with windows sonic or stereo uncompressed, which still sound very good with the A50x drivers.Enjoy!

Initial Impressions Are Looking Good
I recently changed my review for the Logitech G93 down to 2 stars after running into many of the same issues as the other reviewers who left negative reviews. I was disappointed they were right, as Logitech has always provided a quality and lasting product. I also said that I was going to be getting this headset. I purposefully did not read any reviews until I had it in my hands. Here are my initial impressions out of the box:- Durability: The headband cushion feels incredibly flimsy. I’ve seen quite a few other people talk about this, and I fully believe and expect this will be a source of contention shortly. It is only connected by two seemingly flimsy tabs. One person said they zip-tied it in place right out of the box. I can’t say I blame them, but I won’t resort to that. If this breaks, I’ll be sending it back.- Setup: The setup is straightforward. However, regardless of which platform you use, you will need a minimum of two cords to fully set up (a power cord for the base and a USB plugin for the platform). Once the headset is on, connected, and set to the right input/output, my PC and Logitech GHub app detected it immediately. I should point out that all of the required cords were included. On top of this, they also included outlet adapters for every type of outlet I know of (European, Middle Eastern, etc; there are a total of 5 outlet adapters). I point this out because other reviews say they didn’t get the correct plug adapter (I may have a new generation of the headset).- Weight: I saw some reviews commenting on the headset’s weight. In my hand, they don’t feel heavier than my G935s, although admittedly, those are already on the heavy side. I don’t suspect that this will be an issue for me, but if you have used primarily lighter headsets in the past, it may be an adjustment for you.- Dolby Atmos activation/upgrade: Based on the literature and starting stages of setup, my initial understanding was that this was a paid upgrade accessed via monthly subscription (which is outrageous on its own, but I digress). Thankfully, this is not the case. A license to use and access Dolby Atmos for Headphones is included with your purchase of this headset, and the only thing you have to do is download the Dolby app. If your headset is on, Dolby will automatically detect it and apply the settings. I can tell that it did SOMETHING, but I haven’t noticed any life-altering changes to the sound quality yet. Furthermore, there is a built-in EQ in the Logitech GHub app (I know many people don’t like this app, but I have had good luck with it so far).- Comfort: The earmuffs are comfortable but on the smaller side. My ears don’t seem to fit into them as well as they did in my G935s. The ear placements are fully adjustable, so you can raise/lower them as needed. I saw other reviewers say they couldn’t do this. I may have a new generation of the headset.- Sound quality: As stated previously, I had a pair of Logitech G935s. They produced impressive sound, and I was thoroughly content with them. Since this isn’t a MAJOR upgrade (in my opinion), I wasn’t overly blown away by a distinct increase in sound quality. If I’m being 100% honest, I was initially slightly let down before adjusting the EQ to a more familiar tone. Now that it sounds more like I’m used to, it sounds about the same as my G935s. I’m by no means an audiophile; I use headsets for Discord, video games, and sometimes music. I care more about bass and clarity than anything else. Do with this information what you will. All in all, I remain hopeful. It only gets four stars because the headband cushion issue is…well, going to be an issue. I don’t like that I could pinpoint a potential source of contention as soon I put it on my head. But to be fair to Logitech, it works as expected right now. I will update this review in the future, especially if I have any issues with this product.

Excellent headphones, comfort and mic
I have tried Audeze Maxwells, Nova Pros & 7p, Logitech X Pro 2, and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, to name a few. These Astros are remarkable – better sound, mic and all day comfort than all of them. The Audeze Maxwell were better for music, but these headphones seem better for detail & imaging, and the Maxwells were too delicate (diaphragm crinkle is a thing!). I wish this headset came with a simple dongle option – as the base station is a bit of a pain to move around if your setups are all in different places. I’ve been shopping around for a while and happy to say I’ve finally landed on a pair I’m really happy with!

Worth the money
Had the A50 gen 4 for years and it stopped charging so I decided to get these. After tweaking the EQ settings on the PC and using it for my ps5.. easily dropped 14 kills in solos on warzone and won the match. My only complaint is they need to make it so that the EQ settings that you make on Ghub on PC and the app need to sync.. Easier if you just uninstall the app and use the settings you made on PC.

Great headset but overpriced
These are probably the best sounding headset I’ve ever had. The price was a hard pill to swallow but if you have the money. Go ahead and get these. The features were the most important to me. I gave it 4 stars because of the price otherwise it’s a 5 star sounding headset that is feature rich.

A50s are great
I have the 2nd Gen and the head strap keeps falling off, there cracking sounds with some games I play so I was a little upset with all those problems considering the fact that they cost 350. Well I can honestly say that these a50s are way better as far as sound and construction. I definitely recommend these if you’re a gamer who wants the best quality in a gaming headset.

Just got these delivered super early this morning & was super easy to set up for both my PS5 & Xbox SX, this is for me only cause I can’t speak for others but the few hours I’ve been using them they have been awesome the sound is super crisp, clear & by far my fave headset I’ve owned & it also connected to both my systems with no issues & it really does switch back & forth between both consoles effortlessly & works flawlessly I’m glad I had one headset instead of two like I use too.

Multi-plat gamers rejoice!
As someone who has a gaming monitor with 1 DP and 1 HDMI port AND owns a PC/PS5/XBSX this eliminated my need for a hdmi splitter AND needing more than 1 headset. The sound quality is great, the mic is even solid. I use it now over my standalone mic. Battery life is amazing as well. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

Awesome Stuff
Not one bad thing to say, only personal preferences. Sound is the best I’ve heard from gaming headset and I’ve had many brands, including other Astros. Personally though the ear cushions are to small and sit on ear instead of around ear. Top cushion is weak as well. But overall awesome and works perfectly out of if box which is rare these days.

Astro A50X PS5
You’ll need an additional HDMI cord to connect base station to monitor. Then ps5 HDMI from console to base station. Works great, picks up farts and sounds great!

Solid headset
Works great with the 3 inputs I have attached to it. Switching between them is smooth to go along with the impressive sound quality.

Definitely worth the price.
So far these have fit my needs more than expected. Being able to jump between my Series X and PS5 with ease has been great. I primarily play on my Series X and the Dolby Atmos sound stage is fantastic. The pre loaded EQ settings are decent but I highly recommend downloading the G Hub app and make your own that fits your play style. The earcups weren’t the best so I ordered a set of the Wicked Cushion cooling ones and that helped with comfort and sound, they gave them more sound isolation and some added comfort. I definitely love my bass and these supply that. But also being able to have good positioning audio for foot steps for Call of Duty to over all good audio for the many story based games that I play. Music and movies sound great as well pending on the preset you have.

Arrived damaged
Overall we do like this brand. Unfortunately this headset arrived damaged. The box was in good condition, but the headset had a large crack and had to be returned. Extremely frustrated that we had to pay $15 to ship the faulty product back to them.

Universal Audio & Mostly Universal Video Solution
I’m not the target audience for this device. I don’t have all three platforms (XB, PS, & PC), but I do have Xbox and PC.Normally, the PC only gets audio (there is no HDMI port for PC), but by using the PlayStation HDMI & USB ports, I can have Xbox & PC switching back and forth, video and audio, seamlessly with just a button press and only ONE 4k monitor. This has worked incredibly well and is a huge entertainment Quality of Life change at home.If it’s within your price range, it is worth it.

The only brand for gaming headsets
This is the number 1 most recommended brand for gaming headsets for a reason. They are incredibly expensive which is my only complaint. Everything else about this headset is sublime. Great comfort, great sound, easy setup, great customer service, and I’ve found that if you take half decent care they will last a while. My last pair of A50’s lasted almost 5 years.

So far so good!
My first pair of Astro’s and couldn’t be happier. Upgraded from a pair of Beyerdynamics DT900X on my Series X and the sound quality is equally as good, I was just ready to get rid of all the wires and have the ability to adjust the EQ. The app worked flawlessly and was I was also able to set up custom EQ settings on the website easily using GadgetryTech’s EQ for Warzone. What a difference. Comfort is top notch and the mic is the best I’ve ever used. Have even had friends compliment me on the sound quality. Time will tell but so far, worth every penny.

I can’t say enough good things about it
My TurtleBeach 700 became unbearable. so while shopping around I purchased SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro which fell MISERABLY below my expectations. So I thought I’d give this one a shot and it is by far the best headset I’ve used in all my years of gaming. Comfortable, easy to use, high quality, great sound, great battery, easy to connect. I haven’t found 1 wrong thing with it thus far

Love it compared to my a50 gen 4
The Astro A50X gaming headphones deliver an unparalleled audio experience that truly elevates your gaming sessions to a whole new level. The sound quality is exceptional, providing crystal-clear highs, deep lows, and immersive surround sound that allows you to pinpoint every in-game sound with precision.Compared to my older Astro a50 gen 4, the Astro A50X is a significant step up in terms of audio performance. You’ll notice details in the sound that you never heard before, giving you a competitive edge in games where sound cues are crucial.Additionally, the comfort and build quality of the Astro A50X are top-notch, allowing you to wear them for extended gaming sessions without any discomfort. In conclusion, if you’re looking for gaming headphones that offer outstanding audio quality the Astro A50X is definitely worth considering. Its impressive audio performance and comfort make it a great investment.
