Nice chair, easy to assemble. Some issues.
This chair is good quality and easy to assemble. The seat cushion is firm but comfortable, it doesn’t feel like it’s going to go flat anytime soon. The mechanism that follows your movement is somewhat gimmicky, it feels like the back is trying to push you out of the chair. The mechanism is also somewhat noisy, I ended up putting it into a locked position. The tilt function, the arm rest adjustments and lowering and raising the chair work as they should.Unfortunately, for me the lumbar support wasn’t strong enough without the follow mechanism engaged, so I’m looking for another chair.

Love this chair
We received this package with all the pieces, in good time. Everything was packaged very well padded so that there would be no damage. We were able to follow the pictures and instructions with no problems, so this was very easy to assembly. Needed no extra tools, as they included the Allen wrenches needed. It did take us approximately 30 minutes but we were taking our time and being careful.I was amazed at how comfortable it is. And all of the adjustments available to make it fit each individual person is wonderful. 1st you can adjust the height, which is normal, and must add, it actually will adjust to the proper height for short people as well as tall, meaning it works for me! Next you adjust the tilt. It did help to have a second person to assist in adjusting it to my body. Nice. The manual is very good at explaining how to do this and the other adjustments.Oh then you have the lumbar adjustment. That is so very much needed and made this chair, oh so very comfortable. I have a lumbar compound compression and it doesn’t take long to be very uncomfortable. This worked perfect.Of course you have Height adjustment, but you have multiple adjustments on the armrest…Many more adjustments that really make this chair perfect.I am excited to have this chair so that when I work on my computer or my sewing machine, I will not be exhausted and having to take a break after a short length of time. Anticipating really using this chair a lot.Happy Camper.

Great office chair!
Comfort is subjective. It seems like some of the negative reviews on this chair were written by people who expected their chair to be able to fly to the Bahamas and back. For the money, this chair is not only comfortable and adjusts 10 different ways, but it is a great value. I’m 6’1″, medium build, and find the chair can be adjusted to hit all the right spots. I was curious about the back rest piston and how that would work. Seems like a nice selling feature, but honestly, I just turned it off. It wasn’t necessary and it seems a bit aggressive, meaning, when activated, it can feel like it is pushing you out of the chair. Great though if you want to develop some abs via resistance training while answering emails. The seat cushion is very comfortable and seems to be durable and well made. It is soft but firm at the same time and springs back to original shape when you stand up. Hope this helps.

Fantastic
I recently upgraded to this office chair and it has made a world of difference in my daily comfort and productivity. The ergonomic design provides excellent lumbar support, which has significantly reduced my back strain during long hours of work. The adjustable features, including seat height and armrests, allow for a fully customized seating experience. The chair is also well-built and sturdy, with smooth-rolling casters that make it easy to move around my workspace. Overall, it’s a fantastic investment for anyone seeking both comfort and functionality in their office setup

Seat height problem – UPDATE great customer service
The chair goes down as soon as I sit on it. Seems like a nice solid chair but it’s useless and a waste of money if I can’t adjust the seat height and keep it that way. I sent the company an email, we’ll see if they get back to me.Update: I was surprised how quickly they replied to my email. I received the chair on 12/31 and put it together on 1/1, which is when I discovered the seat height issue. I sent the email on 1/1, not expecting an immediate response since it was a holiday, but they emailed me back 4 minutes later and offered to send me a replacement pressure bar. I’ve used the chair here and there and tinkered around with the knobs and levers and the lower back following thing is awesome! I love how everything is adjustable on the chair, even the seat angle. I read the reviews before buying this chair and I know some reviews state that the angle can’t be adjusted but it is adjustable and I was able to do it. I pull the seat height lever out, the arrow on the lever says “free”, and then lean back until I hear a click (the backrest will move too but that springs back up) and push the lever in to lock it into the angle I like.

Pretty good for the price
I’ve bought several ergonomic chairs over the past few years, and for the price, this chair is surprisingly good. The only down side is the back rest is only attached by one screw in the middle, so it’s not the sturdiest thing of all time, but it works, and you hardly notice it. The seat cushion is good, and the arm rest work well. Overall it’s a decent chair for the price, just don’t expect it to be a Herman Miller or Eurotech chair.

I’m super picky about my office chair this one is great
I’ve been using the expensive work provided chair at home until it recently needed to go back to the office. I’ve gone to big box stores and sat on all the different chairs they have, nothing was great. Spent $500+ on a fancy gaming office chair and hated it. I’m 5ft6in, and this chair is just as good as the $1,000 work provided chair. The adaptive lumbar support is interesting, but a cool idea. I do lean back a lot during the day, and this chair is awesome there. For a $150ish chair this one is really nice.Only complaint is the chair back mesh material is kind of weird. I put a blanket over the back and it’s perfect. I know they make covers but why do that when I have 300 blankets laying around.

First review, it’s that food
Chair is amazingly comfortable. I bought it for normal office use, maybe 4-5 hours sitting. I’ve recently moved my gaming station to my desk which extends the amount of time that I spend on this chair and it handles like a champ. LOVE IT.

Meh. Not the most comfortable chair out there but not bad for $100
Chair is really easy to assemble and comes nicely packed. All the adjustments work as advertised. However….I wished the resistance on the auto following backrest was better… I don’t see much difference using the + & – adjustments so that is a bit disappointing. Also disappointing is how flat the seat deals vs how it looks… maybe it is just not well suited for heavier bodies like mine. Makes me wonder how long it will be before the “plushness” goes away. The most annoying part of this chair is a very distinct downward slope on the seat cushion area! It is diving me insane cause I can’t seem to find any way to adjust for it! Combine the downward slope with the lumbar support moving against my lower back, I feel like I’m fighting to stay on the dang chair! Feels like I’m constantly being pushed off… this has lead to having to disable the coolest feature of this chair which is the auto following backrest so now it is a clunky basic chair with a weird nose dive for a seat.Between the lack of cushion and the downward slope of the seat I would probably end up having to add an ergonomic cushion seat which I wanted to avoid in the first place… but seems it will be the best solution.Over all this chair is just “meh” and if it wasnt such a pain to get it done I would probably end up returning this one.UPDATE: I’ve realized the Sest Dept adjustment is partially to blame… the further forward it is adjusted the worst the slope gets. I had to adjust it all the way to the back but slope is still present and very annoying. Seriously considering returning at this point

Very Good Quality (decent and helps provide more support but not ultimate)
This chair is very well made. Surprised by the quality. While it’s highly adjustable and provides more support than other office chairs I have owned, it’s not perfect. I wish the lumbar would stick further out.But at this price, solid build, ease to assemble, I think it’s worth it.I can recommend it and would give 5 stars if the lumbar could have been a bit longer.

A wonderful chair at a great price!
I was unsure how the chair was going to be, but I am incredibly pleased. The chair is durable and made with a high degree of quality.Pros:Very comfortable. I was able to adjust the seat height and depth without issue.Upon assembly, I was able to pick my back rest height, which for a taller person is a must. The head rest is supportive enough and fit my posture to the point I believe I could kick back and sleep.Lumbar support is also adjustable which is helping me sit properly. The chair keeps me comfortably in a proper position. I spend long hours at the computer for work and this has been a god send.My significant other is able to easily adjust the chair to her height/ desired setting. The wheels flow easily on the woodAssembly was easy.Looks high tech/cool compared to most office chairs.Cons:I would rather the chair come with the rollerblade/rubber wheels, but that’s a $12 purchase I dont mind making.

Adjustable, Supportive, Comfortable
If you like your chair reclining when you even think of leaning back, look elsewhere. But, if you like a supportive chair that has significant adjustability and all-day comfort at a reasonable price, this chair fits the bill.

worked at first.
It was fine at first, since I used it daily I would change the backrest for breaks, after 7 months of daily use now the backrest no longer changes from the position I have it, which is fine I guess, since it’s in the sitting upright position, but I no longer am able to recline in it.

Great chair for tall people not as great for shorter people
I love the comfortable padding on the bottom of the chair and backrest is great, but the armrests are way too high and even at the lowest adjustment setting they bump into or are above the ergonomic level of a keyboard for anyone under 5’9 or so. This is probably a great chair for people 6 feet and taller. Super easy to assemble! Great instructions and well drilled holes for alignment. Put it together in about 15 minutes.

Great customer service.
Update: I contacted support to see if I had any manufacturer warranty and within a week I had a replacement part and I’m all good. Fast response fast shipping. Thanks.Old review:honestly i’ve liked the chair, mostly for the price. there are a few annoying things that are just quirks of different brands, all just preference stuff.but i’m writing this review after using the chair for 10 months and now the back tilt control is broken and my chair just tilts back all the way so i can’t use the back rest. and theres no way to grab a part to fix this. it’s so stupid that the entire chair is broken because you have a bad design that doesn’t allow for repairs. theres always some piece that they cheap out on that wears down fast or breaks easily and then you have to buy another one.

Excellent for the price
Very impressed with this chair considering it was just under $200. It’s adjustable in ways I wasn’t expecting and just comfortable to sit in even for long periods. The build quality is very high and looks (and feels) more expensive than it is. Glad I chose this over other options.

UPDATE Very firm chair, but it is a chair
Only like 3 positions, you can lock the back tilt. You can’t adjust the angle of the bottom cushion, so you constantly feel like you’re falling out of the chair. The piston for the back was cool for a little while, but the armrest never goes back far enough for you to rest in a comfortable position even with the piston fully extended. The cushion is feels like my 8-year-old beat to death chair’s cushion, it’s horrible. Arm rests again are limited in their adjustment. If I want to sit with my legs under the desk, it’s impossible without the armrests being in the way of my arms. The headrest tilts but it doesn’t actually move forward or back at all so it’s kinda pointless to adjust. It can move up and down which is sometimes useful. Would have returned this chair if it wasn’t such a hassle and cheap.UpdateI found the armrests on this chair to be overwhelmingly terrible. I wanted to get a different chair almost entirely because of how bad they were. But I found a great workaround that may or may not have been intended. You can just reverse the armrests and they sit much farther back. It allows you arms to actually rest on them while sitting under the desk. This is 100% not how the photos show the arm rests, but this is a complete game changer for the comfort of the chair while sitting at a desk. And makes the chair atleast usable minus the rock hard cushion.

For the price, Impressed
I’ve been looking at other premium chairs which cost $1000-$2000. This one cost me 1/10-1/20th of that price, and it’s just fine for my purposes. I work from home 3x a week, and am on the computer a lot otherwise. I needed something better than the 100% mesh chair which I had been using as a hand-me-down. Also I am 6′ 4″ tall. Overall, I’m really impressed with this chair so far.Originally I figured, “why not”, give it a try and worst case return it. When I first received the box I almost didn’t want to bother putting it together, I had already made up my mind that for the price, there is no way this chair will be comfortable. After putting it together, I have to say it’s really growing on me. I thought the spring-back adjustment would be gimmicky, but it’s actually super useful. It provides just enough support when I sit at attention to gently remind me to be mindful of my posture. The head rest is really a nice feature which I haven’t had before. Again, being 6′ 4″ I tend to expect that most chairs won’t fit me. I actually had to *lower* the head rest instead of keeping it maxed out.Assembly was easy. The parts are clearly labeled, as are the instructions. No rust or oxidation anywhere to be seen. Took maybe 10-15 minutes. They even include a pair of disposable white cotton gloves. At first I was like “why would I need those”, the parts weren’t particularly dirty. But it’s a really nice touch, and it shows the designers actually care. I put them on half way through assembly (after stupidly grabbing the gas piston which had some grease on it) and actually they did pick up a bit of dirt. And, they would have protected me from the tiny bit of grease if I wasn’t too stubborn to use them in the first place. The only “negative” comment I can make from the perspective of a tall person is the chair height is probably made for a 6′ 2″ – 6′ 3″ max, it’s slightly less than would be the most comfortable for me at it’s maximum height. I’m thinking I’ll just get a gel seat cushion for that extra boost. Or not. It’s still better than my old chair =)

Outstanding
Working from home on the computer all day, I was looking for a chair for neck and back issues. I found a treasure! I like the support and adjustability. You can also recline which I use while attending audio meetings. (Please look at the booklet regarding this feature b/c I was pleasantly surprised). I recommend this chair without hesitation.

Awesome Office Chair! VERY HAPPY!
Love this chair – very comfortable and very supportive. I am short and have trouble getting chairs to support my back and yet have my feet touch the ground – this chair fits all those problems! Very simple to put together, took maybe 30 minutes, not long. All parts included and tools needed to put it together – it’s fantastic and I’m so glad I ordered it! I must admit – it looks a little “wanky” like “R2D2” with that big orange thing sticking out the back – if I hang my sweater over my chair it looks like I’m sitting in a robot chair – HA! That’s okay – it is VERY comfortable and I highly recommend, many adjustments fit all your needs and good quality! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Finally Found You
OK, first I have to say I am blessed in the back area so finding a chair that is wide and also have depth is hard. After 10 chairs I have finally found one that fix me. I am also short 5’1 and I needed the back brace to be adjusted. I love this chair I have referral so many people to get this chair. Hopefully they love it like I did.

Nice Chair
I like this chair…it is very comfortable, lots of adjustments, most ergonomic I’ve come across, an overall 5 stars. From delivery to sitting at my desk….56 minutes! This chair comes in 18 pieces and 22 screws. it all fit in a box 20x20x14. Each piece was individually wrapped. Instructions were easy to understand and follow It came with all pieces necessary to put it together as well as the necessary tools (2 allen wrenches to tighten the screws). I really like the variable lumbar support. As you move, so does the support. I’ve had 4 back surgeries with the last being a L-4 to S-1 fusion, so this feels really nice. I can lean back and lean forward and not lose support. Also, the support tension is adjustable which is nice if you’re tired and sore and really need that added support. There is also plenty of adjustment on the arm supports; up, down, in and out. Just like most office chairs, it adjusts up and down as well as tilt. The tilt adjustment can also be locked so there is no tilt, which is nice. The head support is also adjustable, which is a real nice feature. If you are looking for an economical chair for yourself or your office personnel, this would be a great choice. It’s very comfortable and I like it.

Omg amazing!
There’s so many customizations for this chair! I have scoliosis and chairs I’ve had before didn’t support my back/posture. I’m a female 5′ 3″ tall and weight 165lbs. This chair keeps me straight up naturally and it’s super comfortable! It looks just as advertised and the quality is so amazing. I purchased my husband an $800 chair for big and tall, he works and plays pc games. And we’d say my chair is better. Of course it wouldn’t fit him cause he’s 6′ 3″ and weighs 330lbs. But once he’s in the market for a new chair he’s going to look into this brand hoping they make big and tall chairs! I can sit in this chair for 5 hours no problem, sometimes I go and sit in the chair just to relieve back pain!

Its not comfortable for me, the customer service is really good though
This chair has quite a few bad features but I’ll start with the trademark spring back support thing. They make it out to be an adaptive lumbar support but what it actually feels like is: Imagine if you had someone standing behind you constantly trying to push you out of the chair, that’s basically what this feature is.Aside from that the back spring is too stiff even at its lowest setting, the cushion is angled down so you constantly feel like you’re sliding off it, the arm rests don’t lock so you constantly have to readjust them every time you sit down.UPDATE:After leaving this review, I received an email from the company offering to help resolve my issue with the chair. They gave me a few suggestions on tweaking some of the configurations of the chair to see if I could make it more comfortable for myself but unfortunately none of those things worked out at which point they offered to refund my purchase. While the chair was still uncomfortable for me, the customer support was excellent. If you’re reading this review and you’re on the fence about trying it out, I’d say give it a go and see how it feels for you.

Chair Literally Has Got Your Back
I bought this chair because of its promised ergonomic support and many customizable adjustments. It did not disappoint. First of all, assembly was surprisingly easy given how many moving, adjustable parts are involved. The lower-back support is the best of any office chair that I have owned. I thought the lower-back pain and shoulder pain I had been experiencing was just about “getting older,” but working in this new chair corrected the problem within a few days. I also love how the armrests can be moved at an angle to support your forearms in the typing position. The adjustable headrest is another bonus. If you work long hours at home in front of a computer, I highly recommend that you give this chair a try. It literally has got your back.

Comfortable and adjustable
So far I have had this chair for a few weeks and can say this is way better than gaming chairs.Only complaint is I wish the Lumbar adjustment on the back was a lot more stiff making it harder for me to push the back of the chair back and do a better job of forcing me to sit straight. But still way better than gaming chairs. I also put Rollerblade wheel style wheels on this chair because the factory wheels are to be desired.

A little different but in a good way
This is an awesome well made chair and an excellent value for the money however you should know that what you are getting is different from your average quality office chair. This chair excels at providing back support when sitting with the compromise that there is no forward-backward tilt adjustment. You can recline but it requires a bit more effort and can not stop halfway, you either are sitting or are reclining fully. This isn’t that much of a problem for me but I can see how other people might want to have more adjustability in the reclining feature. The chair is very well made and durable with the exception of the headpiece which is adequate but I would be careful not to put too much weight on it. Also because the chair is mostly molded thick plastic I would try to sit in the midline of it and not lean too much to one side as this could fatigue the chair and lead to premature failure. If you sit a lot, could occasionally use the adjusting feature of the lumbar support, and are ok with a full reclining position around 45 degrees it’s an excellent value for the money.

very adjustable chair with great back support
I was really looking for a chair with good back support and this one has it. There are a lot of adjustable things that make it very customizable. Really nice back support and I’ve got mine set so that when I move away from the desk some and then back again the back rest goes with me to give me constant support. As an example of the customizing aspect, the arm rests can be adjusted up/down, out to the side or in, toward the desk or toward the back more, with the front of the arm tilted out, in, or in line with the back of the arm.

Impressive value!
I spend 12+ hours per day sitting at a desk many days. I’m 5’11, 170 with a boney keister and back problems. I have many decades of office chair experience, so I can usually tell right away if a chair is going to create discomfort for me. You can probably see from the stars I gave it that this passed my initial “oh no way” test. I just got the chair, so I can’t give any impressions on longevity, but here’s my initial impressions:The chair base is powder coated steel. In my opinion, this is an upgrade over your typical plastic chair base. It looks simple, clean, unobtrusive and doesn’t look cheap or dated. It’s a small thing, but I appreciate it.The wheels are on the higher end of basic office chair wheels. Those rollerblade wheels are all the rage, but those have their own drawbacks – they can suck up your sock or bare foot (ouch!) and on hard floors, they can roll TOO easily. The wheels included with this chair roll smoothly without any of those drawbacks and look a bit nicer than your bottom-of-the-barrel office chair wheel. I have a 4×6 low-pile loop carpet mat that I use as a chair mat/floor protector, and these wheels roll nicely over this mat, while giving me enough resistance so the chair doesn’t move when I don’t want it to. Perfect. The arms – So, there is a lot of adjustment for these arms. They can raise from about 7.5″-10.5″ (seat-to-arm) with a little release lever on the outside of the arm. The space between the arms can be adjusted slightly during assembly and there’s another 1.5″ of tool-free adjustment, as well as 2″ front/back and a pivot to angle the arms inward or outward. It’s cool that there’s so much adjustment, but it does mean the arms aren’t all that rigid. They aren’t loose, but it’s fairly easy to unintentionally adjust them. They aren’t hard plastic, it’s more of a very stiff foam with a plastic coating. They’re also contoured nicely in the back and kind of cup your forearm. The seat base/cushion – the seat (together with the arms) can be adjusted forward and backward by about 2″ in set increments (I think there’s six notches). This can help your fine tune your seating position in relation to the the back, which is a cool feature. The cushion is soft, but high density foam and the fabric feels durable. Both the foam and the fabric remind me very much of automotive upholstery – in fact, it feels nearly the same as the driver’s seat on my Jeep Wrangler, if maybe a bit softer foam. The underside of the seat and along the bottom edge is a plastic shroud, which does have a nice clean look. Time will tell how the foam holds up, but my initial impressions are that it feels good quality. Supportive, not too hard or too soft. The headrest – it’s height adjustable and you can pivot it to suit your needs. The height adjustment has detents for a handful of set positions, but neither the height or the pivot can be locked into place, so like the arms, you can move the adjustment unintentionally sometimes. It’s a firm headrest, but fine for leaning back for a few moments to rest your eyes. You won’t be falling asleep on this headrest though. The back – I quite like the back. It has a plastic reinforcement behind the fabric at the lumbar area that is height adjustable. This makes the lumbar support is very good. The rest of back feels nice and supportive to lean against without any pressure points. The fabric is a linear pattern, not a “mesh”, so it looks much nicer/modern than your typical mesh back. The back has three height positions that it can be attached to the chair base during assembly giving some additional range of fine tuning for your size. Very cool. The recline tension can go from very loose to very strong and there are three positions you can lock the seat back in. The seat base and arms recline slightly with the back, but they don’t move together lockstep, which is kind of great – you get a deeper lean on the back and only a slight raise on the front edge of the seat cushion. Very well engineered mechanism. Finally – the back/gizmo/spring that moves the back forward and backward as you move. I don’t like it. I know this is the big selling point of the chair, but, it just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s kind of noisy as it moves, and it feels like it’s either not doing anything or it’s pushing you off the chair, depending on the tension you have it set to. Plus it tends to pull your shirt up in the back while it moves, which is annoying. Additionally, if you lean back it can leave you with zero lumbar support unless you shift your tush back as you lean, which is just too much gymnastics for me. That being said, you can lock the mechanism in place at various positions, so it just makes for another adjustment point, which is great! This may just come down to personal preference, it wasn’t for me, but you don’t have to use it, so win-win.Honestly, the build quality and the adjustments available are very surprising to me at this price point. I don’t think you could find a better chair for this price and it likely rivals chairs selling for twice as much or more. Assuming this chair holds up (and I have no reason to believe it won’t), it is a very good buy.

Really comfortable, high-quality chair with great back support, and a breeze to assemble.
I’ll preface this by saying that I work from home on a regular basis, so a good office chair is a must for me. For the past few years, I’ve been using a more basic chair that just adjusts by going up/down or having the backrest tilt. It’s been fine, not bad, but as I’ve been working from home more, I thought I’d try out another chair that has more adjustability.I was not disappointed. Here’s my full review after using it for a little over a week on a daily basis for 5–10 hours a day:ASSEMBLY – 5/5Super easy to set up. After unpacking the disassembled chair (about 5 minutes) and removing everything from its plastic packaging (3 minutes), I was able to follow the very well-written English instructions with detailed pictures and assemble the entire chair in about 20 minutes from start to finish. All the pieces are easily distinguishable and simple to put together.USE, COMFORT, and ADJUSTABILITY – 5/5This chair is comfortable! The cushion feels more padded than my prior $100~ chair.I also love just how many options you really have on this thing. I just assumed that you could really only adjust a chair in a few ways. This chair proved me wrong. Not only does the instruction manual detail all the ways you can tweak and adjust the chair, but it’s also fairly easy to figure out intuitively. The lumbar support is great. You can move the little slider I show in one of the pictures up and down to get the lumbar support to be exactly where you need it for your back. Even the back piece of the chair has 3 different placement options you can choose from when setting it up (and pretty easy to adjust if you need to after setup) and it feels really good on my back now.You can adjust the tilt of the whole back piece. There is a headrest which you can raise and lower and tilt as well to your needs. You can adjust the pressure in the back piece using the orange knob. You can of course raise and lower the whole chair. The arms can be raised, lowered, and moved forward and back, and titled in or out.It is genuinely a lot more comfortable than the good chair I used to have, and on top of that, it forces me to sit up straighter and have better posture once I get the settings to where I need them to be (of course I’m sure it would let you slouch if you wanted, but I don’t want that). I just really like how customizable this is and how good it feels on my back. Much needed for someone who’s at my desk at home all day much of the week!EXTRAI hopefully won’t need it, but the instruction manual indicates that it does come with a 3 year warranty (which includes free part replacements if needed). And after the 3 year warranty, there’s a 7 additional year limited warranty which will ship you free replacement parts if you pay for shipping. That seems pretty reasonable to me—and I like products that have a strong warranty because it tells you the manufacturer stands by their product.

Review
We bought this chair with high hopes as “it offers new technologies for back support”, which is really important when working at the computer for long periods of time. The chair was well packaged and easy to assemble. What a disappointment I was after sitting in it. The seat is completely uncomfortable, and seems to be tilted forward. The moving back feature is very cool and the back actually moves with you when you change positions. However, combined with this seat issue, you get the uncomfortable impression that you are constantly slipping off the chair. I had several people test drive it and everyone had the same opinion. I’m disappointed, I was hoping for it. I’ll have to return it.

I can sit in this chair for 8 hours straight and lower back not complain
I have a very tight/fatigued lower back that complains if I am behind a desk for more than a few hours. I knew finding a comfortable full-day use chair was going to be a challenge. I’ve tried 25+ different chairs in Staples, Costco, Office Depot, and a handful of office furniture stores to find a budget friendly chair to upgrade from my old trusty Staples mesh one that has worn down enough to no longer be comfortable. My back is so picky and so bad that I was often sitting with a yoga/pressure back stretching pad behind my back just to provide enough pressure on bad days. Old with the old in with this new Newtral chair.Newtral was definitely intriguing me with the amount of adjustability and the lumbar support piston called to me. I wanted that firm, yet adjustable lumbar support that would alleviate my lower back struggles.I was pleasantly shocked! I did my first full 8 hour work day behind the PC in a long time the next day after buying it. And since then I have done many many days of 6+ hours. It is comfortable enough that I can find myself starting to doze off on it during late night PC sessions. That’s a good sign. As usually I have to tap out and lay down to give my back some relief. Yet with Newtral I was able to power thru it a full day and some very late nights.I’m still surprised how much adjustability this chair has. I love it for that reason.I AM NOT FORCING MY BODY TO FIT THE CHAIR, I AM ADJUSTING THE CHAIR TO FIT MY BODY!Completely Adjustable from Bottom to Top:* Seat Height – Adjustable* Seat Depth – 4 Lockable Positions* Recline – 3 Lockable Positions or Floating Mode with Knob Adjustable Recline Resistance* Armrest Depth – 5 Lockable Positions* Armrest Angle – 3 Position Inward-Outward Angle Adjustable* Armrest Width – Slider Side-to-side Spacing* Armrest Height – 7 Lockable Positions* Lumbar Pressure – 3 Lockable Positions or Floating Mode with Variable Resistance (via Knob)* Backseat Height Options – 3 Positions (tool-less change, takes about 2 mins)* Headrest – Height and Angle AdjustableI don’t believe I have ever found a more adjustable and flexible chair. On focused periods I can keep the lumbar super firm in the far forward position and provide constant pressure while working in full upright mode. Other times I can release the lock and make it floating so if I am moving around in my chair more it gives good pressure dynamically as I lean back or forward. Or if my back needs a break or I want to lean back and relax a bit I can lock the lumbar piston in the deepest back position so it isn’t aggressive at all and I can get more comfortable.A side benefit of the about of adjustability if you had 2+ people with fairly different builts/heights, the adjustability in positions from seat height to seat depth to lumbar pressure to lumbar position or floating mode to armrest height/depth/angle to tilt lock will come in handy. It can be one chair that can work well for both individuals.Deep diving and comparing a few dozen different chairs with real in-store seat time… I have without a doubt I cannot find a better one for this price range. It has a solid build in ever piece and all carefully wrapped in bubble wrap or foam. The e-mail support team is very responsive. Nothing on this chair feels fragile or like they cut corners.### 1 Month Update ###Now with over a month seat time I’m still in love with the chair. I’m in the chair so long some days that I choose to sit in it to watch a movie or just relax, that I do wish it had 1 more step recline making it >=135 instead of 125 degrees. But other than that I have ZERO complaints. One day I’ll find a Herman Miller or Steelcase chair to compare it to just to see the hype of those, but at this time I feel like I got a steal of a deal for a comfortable chair that could last me an easy 5+ years.

Needs work on the headrest and armrests
I love the adjustability of the lumbar support. There is a slider that is curved on the back that you can move up and down. If it doesn’t feel quite right and feels a bit off, you can adjust the height. I went with the recommended height and it works. There are 3 different height settings. You will need to take the chair apart a bit to readjust the height if you go that direction (You choose a height during installation. It’s visible on the chair during this, but not after it’s set up). I love that you can also adjust the tension of the lumbar (sturdier tension pushes it in more into the lumbar whereas looser tension doesn’t push in as much). I recommend starting at the loose setting and gradually increasing it to your comfort level. I wasn’t a fan of the auto following backrest. The idea is there but when people lean forward, they are typically leaning in the top half and your butt doesn’t move, so it’s at a slope and not vertically straight. Their auto follow backrest implies your whole bottom moves forward, which isn’t what happens. It puts uncomfortable pressure beneath your lumbar. The good thing is that you don’t have to use this feature. You just lock it into place so it’s stable like a regular chair. The orange nob at the back is an eye sore (this nob is to adjust the tension). It would be nice if they had an all black option or a dark blue or purple so it wasn’t so noticeable. It also sticks out a lot, so you will need more room than a regular chair. I have a bed nearby and sometimes the corner of the bed will change the nob settings. There is no way to lock this. There is also no way to lock the armrests either. The armrests have that typical uncomfortable armrests that a lot of chairs have. It advertises it moves forward and back. I was hoping I could flush it all the way back but it’s just to normal distance. I want my armrests to be at the height of my desk/keyboard so my arms are straight and not at an angle, which requires armrests to not the desk. Unfortunately, I am still using a pillow to prop up my arms. The headrest needs a lot of work. I do not know why people love the headrest. It’s not soft, it’s not comfortable, it’s too rigid, and it pushes your neck forward too much no matter how I adjust it. It was giving me headache at every angle and height. At first, I decided to go without it (you will need a screwdriver or something small to twist it underneath to get it out as it is friction fit. You will not be able to pull it straight out without doing something at the same time). My headaches stopped and it felt a lot better. I did feel atrophy at first but that went away after a few weeks. Months and months later, I started getting neck strain again. It started off small and then gradually got worse that I would rather suffer the headaches. So I put it back on. I don’t have the headaches anymore but everything else is the same. It is still uncomfortable, not soft, and pushes my neck too forward.

A Feature-Rich and Stylish Choice
I’ve been using the Newtral Office Chair for a few weeks now, and I’m impressed with its overall quality and functionality. The build quality feels solid, with sturdy materials and a well-constructed frame. The adjustable features, including the headrest, seat depth, and lumbar support, gives a great variety to create the perfect combination for your needs.I’ll start with why 4 stars and not 5: for me, the seat got hot quick. I didn’t notice it at first but we got hit with a heatwave with 105+ degree weather and it got quite noticeable. It does also cool down quick so standing for a few minutes will get the seat cooled to a normal temp. One of the standout features is the unique adaptive lumbar support. It automatically adjusts to the curvature of your back. The adjustable headrest is also a nice touch, offering extra comfort and neck support.Aesthetically, the chair has a sleek and modern design that complements most office environments. This can easily be the centerpiece of the office.Customer support has been responsive and helpful in sharing tips on how to adjust my seat to fit me best.Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase of the Newtral Office Chair. It’s a feature-rich and well-made chair that offers excellent value for the price – it can easily complete with more expensive chairs. I highly recommend giving the Newtral a try.

Great Support – seat feels like you are forced to stay in
I really like this chair but there is an issue I saw in at least one other review that I noticed as well after using this chair a couple of weeks. When the chair is at the 90 degree angle, it feels like the seat itself has a tilt forward that forces you to use press down with your legs and constantly adjust to feel like you are not sliding forward. If I tilt the chair back a setting, this helps with the seat problem, but now I am not sitting straight up. I feel if the seat had a bit of angling keeping you in better this chair would be perfect.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I’ve had lower back pain for many years and have a series of stretches and exercises that I must do regularly to keep the pain at bay. Chairs are often an issue as a lack of proper lumbar support turns into a rough day. My back is extremely picky. I have a lumbar pillow in my car and a spare that I take on the plane whenever I fly anywhere. That last puzzle to solve was a decent computer chair. I had not been able to find a suitable one at all. I even moved my spare lumbar pillow to several sets of computer chairs but it proved ineffective because the shape of the chairs wasn’t conducive for utilizing what the pillow does well. I was pretty frustrated, being in that I do videography and spend large amounts of time at my computer desk editing. Often times I would resort to working on one knee.My next move was to move to a standing desk, but decided to try one last option and give this chair a try. Holy Smokes! I noticed it’s effectiveness instantly! No need for any lumbar pillows and I can sit comfortably for hours at at time. My lower back feels tremendous support, and even more, the chair flexes and moves with me to offer support in a variety of positions. It’s also very customizable, allowing you to alter the pressure, height, tilt, lean capacity, etc. so that you can get it just right for you. The quality of parts is also very heavy duty making it sturdy product.I highly recommend this chair to anyone that deals with lower back pain on a regular basis. It has proved to be the solution to an extremely irritating problem and at last I’m covered on all fronts. Your back will thank you!

Not what I was hoping for but I’m keeping it.
I ordered two of these chairs one for me and my wife. We aren’t happy with the chairs, but we recognize that we are different from most people. She is 78 and I am 81, and we’re both hard-core computer gamers and writers. On a winter day, we might spend 8-10 hours in these chairs. The seat is hot and uncomfortable, but that might be due to my age and the excessive time I spend sitting in it at my computer. The overall design of the chair is weird, mainly that the seat does not tilt back with the chair’s back. In other words, when you set the back of the chair to lean back more, the seat stays horizontal. So the user finds himself depending on friction to keep his butt in the seat. This causes the user to squirm, constantly have to skooch back into the chair, etc. Until I get what feels like incipient saddle sores. My wife reports the same thing about the chair. This chair has a peculiar cylinder in its back that is supposed to give the back some “give.” It’s supposed to be adjustable, but it’s always too weak no matter how hard you set it.The head rest is a complete mystery. It seems to be designed for a Martian, not a human being. The best thing about this chair is the very adjustable armrests. We would return the two chairs, but we can’t face the major trouble of disassembling them.I’ll say this again: my wife and I are not like you. You might like these chairs.

Good budget chair.
I noticed a trend reading these reviews: many people evidently did not look through the manual because a lot of people are complaining about things that have an adjustment for it. I’ve had this chair for 5 months now, do I’ll address the main complaints:1. Feeling like you’re falling out of the chair, or a weird tilt—> seat of the chair moves forward using that lever under the seat.2. Hard seat cushion—> there is a knob directly below the seat that adjusts firmnessOverall:I personally like this chair. My only real complaint is that the armrests are uncomfortable. That was easily fixed with armrest cushions. Idk if i would pay over the $100 that I purchased it for, but it’s easily 4 stars

The wheels don’t move FFS!!
I absolutely love this this chair but the wheels don’t wheel!?!?! It’s killing my back just trying to move it!!
