Great Gift
My wife wanted a switch lite but only in Gray, after looking everywhere and them being sold out I came across this and purchased it just in time to receive it for our anniversary. SHE WAS AS EXCITED AS I WAS WHEN SHE OPENED IT! I set it up, connected it to my Nintendo account and it has been working beautifully.

Simply amazing. Superior handheld over base Switch.
I own the regular Switch as well. I personally enjoy this one way more. Let me tell you why, because each model has its pros and cons. The regular switch is great if you want to play with other people in person. If you want to bring it out and have other people play with you. It’s great if you mostly play on the couch. That’s sort of where it ends though. The switch is limited on specs. It is 720p in handheld and 1080p in dock. For someone like me who plays on 4k 60fps and 1440p 144hz PC gaming, I don’t need the dock mode. 1080 at 30-60fps just isn’t enough for me to want to use on a TV or monitor. I found myself only using my Switch in the handheld mode. That’s where the Switch Lite comes in. The first thing I notice is the size. It’s smaller, but in a good way. It’s much more mobile and sleek. I love the way it feels. With the smaller size, yes the screen is smaller. But that’s not exactly a bad thing. The screen is smaller but the resolution is the same as the normal switch. It’s still 720p. What that means is you get more PPI (Pixels Per Inch) on the screen. This means your games are less pixelated than a standard switch in handheld. You could say it might be a con that the joycons don’t come off of the lite, but I see it as a plus. The joycons feel a little shaky and I get worried I will bend them or make them loose on the standard switch. You don’t have to worry about that on the lite. The main downs side is it will be harder to fix if your console ends up get stick drift. Either way if that happens it’s not going to be a fun fix, but it’s still fixable. All in all, if you are debating on this or the standard switch, or already own a Switch, I would recommend this if you plan on playing in handheld mode most of the time. It’s the superior choice of the 2 when it comes to hand held.

An immersive gaming experience
The photos don’t do it justice. I grew up with Gameboy and super Mario games. I’m also PlayStation fan boy by heart and last time I had Nintendo was the original Wii which I still have. I decided to buy the Gray – Switch Lite since they announced Paper Mario (and rumored Super Mario Galaxy). Nintendo made a smart move by following the trend of remakes because I played these games from night until dawn in elementary school; I am 24 now.I’m so happy I bought the switch lite for its great value. This console is truly pushing the limits to current technology to its maximum. The screen is crystal clear while never compromising the vivid colors and games’ unique styles exclusively on switch & cross platform games. During PS4, I became a huge indie game lover. The second my switch lite came, binge bought a bunch of great games under 9$ with real deals on gems of up to 90% off. My first switch game to buy and play is Planet Alpha (originally 20$ bought for 3.50$) and it’s perfect indie game that truly makes you understand the design of switch lite with comfort and ease; and again never comprising beauty exclusive switch game. The sense of ease and the light portability of the console that does not compromise the beauty of games full immerses you into a personal gaming experience that’s fun at any given moment.I also bought Overwatch on switch, which is also my go to on PS, to try and test my comfort level since I haven’t really played a handheld device in years. Overwatch is a great game to test the comfort on the switch lite because the game utilizes every button on the controller and in a fast paced. After a while it does feel a bit cramped but after adjusting the sensitivity you grow accustomed. OW surprised me so much and it is mind boggling to how they were able to compress the game onto this amazing console.Overall, I am satisfied and excited to spend years exploring the vast and diverse Nintendo library. This console is extremely worth it so far. No doubt Nintendo hit the nail on this console.

Great Console
I’m not really a gamer, but I really have a thing for retro games I played when I was a kid. So this one was perfect for that.It fits great, and the battery lasts for hours. Great way to kill time while on a play.I wish if they had better color selection. The grey is just alright.

Overall experience: Better than expected
Not as bad as expected, after all it costs me 146 + taxes. The right and left corner buttons seem a little bit loosen, as if they were refurbished. Not gonna complain because of the price and I love the color, it matches with its cover. Very comfy holding it, compared to a normal nintendo switch which it’s a lot heavier. I saw some comments mentioning that the charger was missing, but it came with the charger and it even says nintendo like it’s original. Of course, as of today which is the day that arrived, no bad news have come up..

Finally a true Vita replacement
I was ecstatic when the first switch was announced two years ago. I’ve always loved the feeling of gaming on a handheld device, having grown up with the Gameboy, Gameboy color and Gameboy advance. Years later the PSP and Vita garnered my attention.Console gaming on a TV has its place, as does gaming on a PC. However, there is something that just feels more intimate about a handheld device you can play while sitting on the couch in a relaxed position. Or even more being able to take the experience with you and combat the total boredom of a three hour layover at the airport, followed by another half day in a cramped airplane.I had a switch since it’s initial release and while it offered a good experience as a handheld it still lacked something compared to the Gameboy and Playstation devices. Breath of the wild on the go felt like a step in the right direction. But I feel as if the steps were impacted by heavy boots, an awkward and somewhat uncomfortable delivery for the experience.I’m not saying that the switch was a bad design but it was far from ideal given my expectations. Over the past two years my switch never went into the dock to display on my TV, it resigned to a dedicated handheld that eventually lapsed into a distraction only to be used while traveling. The awkward flex of the joycons mixed with the weight and size of the switch let me down a little. But for occasional use I could see past the flaws. Now, onto the switch lite. Immediately after unboxing and holding the device I could tell that this is what I had wanted in the switch two years ago. The weight is well balanced as my hands sit naturally onto the controls and there is no flex when gripping firmly. It’s reminiscent of the Vita in all of the best ways. Only this time there’s a game library that provides adequate variety. My first impressions could be tainted by the paired release of Link’s Awakening, which is wonderful I might add. Finally, I found myself fully engulfed in gaming on the switch. It was like reliving my childhood, spending hours with my Gameboy in my grasp on the very same title. As expected, my hands didn’t cramp after a half hour of use like they would with the original switch. The battery held sufficient charge to stay away from the outlet on the other side of my couch for hours on end as well. In my eyes it is perfect in every possibly way as a dedicated handheld gaming console. At last I’m content to finally have a true Vita replacement.

Love the switch butt
With the life version not being able to play on a tv really sucks, but I knew it couldn’t when purchased it…. Love the product, except after.playing for about 30 minutes my hands aeverky cramp because of how slim the LITE version is, wish I could get like a puffy gell thing for it to imitate a bigger controller like an Xbox controller

An Amazing handheld with some Serious FLAWS
I’m a guy in my mid 30’s, I live in Southern California, and I’m a huge Nintendo fan. I just got the Nintendo Switch Lite and have been playing it for the last few days. This system has a LOT going for it, but it falls short of being great.First, let’s start with the PROS:1. It’s a smaller, more portable switch2. It has a regular/traditional Dpad, better for 2d games3. It’s semi-pocketable, making it easier to take with you on the go4. It’s pretty lightweight5. It has a crisp, high resolution screen6. There’s some pretty decent games on the Switch: Mario Maker 2, Mario Odyseey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Zelda, and now SNES games online7. This is the first true Nintendo portable system in about 15 years that goes back to having a SINGLE screen. I like that because I thought the second screen on the DS/3DS/2DS line were just gimmicks that you didn’t really need8. It’s a portable that has console quality graphics on the go9. It’s the first true portable from Nintendo that has an ANALOG STICK! Before, it was only a slider, now its a true stick.10. It’s a sleek, modern looking unit.Okay, now the CONS…1. It’s not that cheap. $199 doesn’t include the cost of the game, sales tax, shipping, a case, etc.2. This is the first “portable” system in which the games are the cost of a home console. $60/each.3. There’s no rumble feature4. There’s no TV out5. It’s a switch with no “switching” feature6. The Analog stick is not nearly as good as the analog joystick on the N64. The N64 had a wider degree of freedom/precision.7. The DPad is TINY! I mean, REALLY tiny, so much so that its difficult to use8. The DPad is MISALIGNED (not horizontally aligned) with the action buttons9. There’s no STYLUS! It’s only compatible with those so-called “styluses” that have dull, rubber nibs.10. On the right side of the unit, the right analog stick pokes up at your thumb when pressing the “B” button11. It’s nothing TRULY innovative. It’s a smaller switch. That’s it. Would have been nice if Nintendo made something really ahead of its time, like a flexible display (see Samsung Galaxy Fold)12. No N64 games! Where’s the N64 virtual console? This system would be great for that.13. It’s still NOT comfortable in the pocket. Would have been better if it could fold up, so it was easier to take with you everywhere14. It’s not that “lite.” The unit has a considerable weight to itSo, I have mixed feelings about the switch lite. It’s a step forward in the right direction, but I felt Nintendo could have been more careful in its design, and more daring in its innovation/delivery.

Very nice handheld version of the orginal Switch
Surprisingly good graphics for a handheld version of the Switch. The screen is somewhat smaller than the Switch cnosole’s one, but the games still look great. It’s really nice to have a handheld version of the console with very little sacrifices. The only minor complaint I have with the Switch Lite is that the battery life is somewhat lacking. I know the graphics are really good for a handheld, but I wish the battery lasted for several or more hours longer than it does. I mean, you still get around 3-4 hours on average per charge, but would have liked it if the battery lasted for like around 6-8 hours. Oh well, you sacrifice battery life for really good graphics, so it can’t be helped. Other than that, I have no complains about the Switch Lite. It is very easy to hold in your hands and doesn’t feel awkward. The buttons, directional pad, and analog stick placements are really good. The speakers are not the best, but gets loud enough and sounds good. I did notice the back gets sort of hot while charging and playing games at the same time, but not too hot. This is a nice handheld game system to add to your collection, especially if you like JRPGs (Japanese-style role playing games). As of now, there is a pretty good selection of these game you can purchase and play.

It didn’t come with a charger which isn’t too big of a deal but still i feel like it should come with the basic necessities that it originally came with. Appears perfectly fine though, just waiting to get a charger to see if it actually works.

Portable and Perfect Size
When I first tried using the original Switch I felt that it was too large in the hands and had a considerable weight to it which took away a lot from the handheld experience. I’m happy to say that the Switch Lite fixes all of these issues thanks to its lighter and smaller overall footprint. It’s a delight to play with and the battery life seems to be about as good as advertised. I’m getting an estimated 3.5-4 hours with Link’s Awakening which is a fairly demanding game. The screen is also extremely bright and looks absolutely beautiful. The colors are also a lot more muted than I had previously thought they would be. The Gray and the Turquoise both look very nice, though I like my gray one the most because of the nice contrast with the buttons. Speaking of the buttons, they feel extremely good. The buttons are more “mushy” than the regular switch but feel very satisfying. The inclusion of the d-pad is also a welcome addition and it feels just amazing. It’s definitely the best d-pad I’ve ever used. The d-pad has the just the right amount of tactile click and mushiness making it a dream to use. If you can forgive the lack of TV output, this is the best handheld gaming console there is and in my opinion the best Switch there is currently.

Love It
This has been my favorite console yet as a long time Nintendo gamer. Stereo sound is excellent. Battery life is excellent. Graphics are excellent. The one and only singular problem I have is that the joysticks on these babies burn out fast and may need replacing–Nintendo covers this under warranty, but it’s a pain.

Has changed my life.
I was never a huge video game player. Mainly because I could only go a few hours stairing at a big TV or having my laptop on my lap. I could never really get comfortable. Not to mention the money it costs to have a laptop that is powerful enough to play the most popular games. Having to download games is also a hassle because my internet is limited. So an option where I can just buy the physical versions of games and pop them in? It sounds ‘stone age’ to most, but is what has been amazing for me.I now have something to do when I am feeling isolated and lonely. The absolute boredom and emotional pain that has been the last eight months of my life. I’ve found something that makes things easier to cope with. Keeps me connected to several of my friends, gives me and them something to do, something to do together. The lite is perfect for me because I am the only person in my household interested in playing games and it’s perfect for my small hands.I’ve had nothing but fun and happiness from this little but powerful machine.

Arrived just as expected!
Great Christmas gift for my son this year. It arrived quickly, and packaging was just as expected. It’s a good size console, which I wasn’t expecting considering it’s the “lite” version. It’s the perfect gaming device for a new gamer just getting introduced.

It’s not as great as the original switch, but if you need an alternative, this can work.
I got the lite because the price of the regular switch console just kept going up. The switch lite arrived within a decent amount of time. I’ve probably had it for two months now and I like the feel of lite, but I really do wish it had an adapter or something to connect to the tv because the smaller screen just doesn’t bring home the intensity for some games. The lite works just fine and all the parts were in it. As you can see in my, I’ve modified my lite. The thumb grips seemed like a must for the lite, as without them my thumbs kept slipping off the analog sticks and I kept accidentally pressing in on the analog stick on some games trying to make keep my thumbs from slipping when i needed to attempt soft maneuvers. Battery lasts about 2.5 hours, so i don’t have to worry too much about charging when I’m on the go.

Small & feels good
I’m a big gamer & it has been years since I played a Nintendo system last one I owned was 3DS that ended up drifting just as switch was about to be announced.Ok so the switch itself 1st I want to put it out there that I played the og switch before that 1 didn’t feel as good in the hands for me but this switch lite feels good if have small hands like me I was surprised how small it was. Vents are on the back so make sure to not to cover it it’ll get a bit warm regardless if playing long but just a heads up. Overall I’m enjoying it so far.As I’m doing review I’ve own for barely a month I’ll update later if anything occurs.

A good to honest review of a handheld gaming console that’s pretty good yet not excellent.
I’ve had the Nintendo Switch Lite for nearly a week and I’ve grown to like the system, and was a bit confused about how the family plan Nintendo has pushed out to its customers yet I see its a necessity for overall system wide enjoyment. Being that the Switch Lite is a handheld device and an fairly economical and portable, its a bit smaller and lighter to transport around yet the outdated mode of having to plug in your headphones is one star off the rating as you would have to purchase a external third party plug in device via the USB-C port to allow for Bluetooth capabilities. Asides for not being able to play some of the better games that are available on the main Switch Console, what’s available for the Switch Lite isn’t bad yet their will be more added to its online ecosystem down the road.

Almost Perfect. Great Console nonetheless.
The Nintendo Switch lite is the new member to the switch family. As the name says it, the switch lite is a “lite” version of the original switch. Witch mean it isn’t “dockable” and the joy cons can’t be removed. It’s a one piece unit and it plays all if not, most switch games. It’s light weight and rests comfortably on your hands, the console is made out of plastic and therefore it has a “plastic-y“ feel but it doesn’t feel like cheap plastic. In my eyes it is a perfect console for those who are looking for a portable console with a massive library of games that range from first to third party games with many genres. My only complaint has to be the battery life. It would have been a perfect console if the battery life lasted 8-10 hours. The Nintendo Switch lite gets a rating of 9.5/10

Well my 5 year old grandson won’t put it down so I think that’s a good sign. His Second Nintendo but first Nintendo lite and he loves it . I have to give him a time limit. He already has a lot of games down loaded. He doesn’t have to charge it that often with is great. So it’s a 5 ⭐️ for us!

Good system
If you are planning to only use handheld consoles like the DS, then this is the one for you. The fact it’s a lot cheaper than the standard Switch is a great pro. I will say having had both the Switch Lite and Switch, I quickly wanted the ability to dock and play on TV, as the size can be somewhat uncomfortable for people like me with bigger hands. If this sounds like you, or you don’t care as much about the whole “portable” concept and would rather use it docked more often than not, then I would recommend the regular Switch. From what I experienced, both models have no differences in performance, just that the buttons and Joycon’s are built a little different on the Lite. I didn’t really care for the ones on the Lite, and I experienced stick drift rather quickly.I guess the TLDR is if you enjoy traveling a lot and want a handheld for boredom, this is the right model. But if you have comfort issues with handhelds or don’t travel as much, the regular model would be better for you, despite the $100 difference.

Sent me a Japanese model
The switch was a Japanese model which I was not expecting. It worked fine, though, so I don’t mind too much but obviously I would have wanted to know that the model was going to be a different region. Box was also damaged, had some weird holes in it for some reason. Overall kind of disappointing but at least I got a functional switch.

Let’s get down to buisness.Look: In my opinion it looks better than the original Switch, do not underestimate the gray, it is a great choice. The color contrast between the color of your choice and white is better than the joycon colors.Screen: For those nerds out there you will notice the higher pixel density, especially in games with more detail. Generally the screen is big enough for Fortnite, Pokemon Shield, and Zelda Breath of the Wild. I haven’t played a game that felt unplayable yet.Controlls: Arguably it controls better than the original Switch, less clicky buttons and Nintendo’s signature d-pad. Gyro controlls are still present, so aiming in Splatoon 2 and Zelda is the same as before.Feel: It feels far better than the original Switch for long play sessions, and it feels better in the hands.Battery life: Battery life is good, after a full charge I could play Minecraft at max simulation distance for 5 hours. But if you’re going on the road yoh will need a battery bank.Notes: This is a handheld console only, you WILL NEVER be able to dock on a TV. There is also no rumble at all, although that’d be nice to have, you won’t notice its abscence in-game. Lastly there is no IR sensor, and if you just asked yourself “what’s and IR sensor” yoy won’t care about it being gone. But because of the exclusion IR sensors Nintendo Labo and One Two Switch are unplayable.Advice: Don’t buy One Two Switch, it will never be worth $60. Get a slim travel case, and a screen protector. If you are giving this to a child put AS MUCH PROTECTIVE CASING AS POSSIBLE.

Great
I was hesitant about ordering a switch online because of the possibly of travel damage, but it was handled very well and it came in mint condition.

Came on time and in perfect shape
The switch came on time and packaged well. this was bought for my son for his upcoming birthday. So we have not opened it up and started it up yet however, we have previously purchased 3 others for our other children and they all worked fine out of the box..

Looks legit
I can’t really review the item yet because it’s a gift for my son’s birthday (end of April) but the item arrived on time and the box was in good shape. I’ll update my review once we open it

I got a defective one
It was nice heavy one but it started to move curser oddly. I sent it to get fixed with warranty but they couldn’t and sent me back one that was way lighter in weight and didn’t seem as durable eventually started doing the curser thing also.

Only 1 complaint.
Very fun games. I bought the light to save some money and ny nephew has the original already. My only single 1 complaint is the battery. No one ever warned me about how bad the battery is. And this is supposed to last longer than the original battery? It’s fine for a bus trip but definitely not a road trip out of town it lasts maybe 4ish hours. It’s not horrible but I remember how the DS, DS lite, 3DS lasted me so long and I could leave it on sleep for months and they would be close to fullIt feels great in my hands. Ashamed to say I have smallish hands for a man. about medium+ glove size. Buttons feel a lot better than the joy cons do. Small enough to fit in male pant pockets unless you wear skinny jeans maybe, I wear lose pants. The speakers a fairly loud or loud enough for me at half volume in a noisy house.Update year later. It turns out my hands aren’t as small as I thought. My sister just has huge man hands like kawhi Leonard so I thought I had small hands. I’m a large size – XLarge size glove.

First handheld since the PSP was a thing.
I’m glad I decided to get a Switch. It has saved me (and my sanity) from playing phone games. I was about to start sending out morse code signals that said “please help.” Luckily, I didn’t need to.The Switch-Lite, as is clearly stated, does not support every feature of the full-sized Switch. It’s strictly a handheld device and is advertised as such, and is meant for people like me who don’t care much about hooking it up to a TV (or are unable to for whatever reason). 99.9% of the entire Switch game library is playable. The only things that aren’t are things like “Just Dance” or Mario Party.Which are… also things that I, and people like me, do not care about.I’ll put it this way;If you’re like me and just want a fun handheld to mess around with, just get a Switch-Lite. It would serve you better than a regular Switch would, because you have no need for the extra bells and whistles.
