I bought the Aries for use in my RV. The HDTV in the RV bedroom is mounted on the ceiling and is powered by 12VDC. There is no 115VAC outlet anywhere near the TV. The RV is new and I didn’t want to try to install a 115VAC outlet or string a long HDMI cord across the ceiling. Luckily, the TV has an extra USB port to power the Aries Receiver (5VDC) as does the Dish 211z HD receiver to power the Aries Transmitter. The installation was simple and the unit worked perfectly right out of the box! The HD video and sound are very good. The Aries transmitter and receiver are only about 10 feet from each other. I tried a HDMI cable to check the sound and video and when using the Aries I can’t see any difference. I am very happy with the Aries!

YES! I am so glad I found this. I am a film Professional and was in search of an alternative to the outrageously priced HDMI HD transmitters. I use this system for a directors monitor to hand to my client to watch the shots. This has been the best investment to my company. I have had to research a bit online to make this work for my camera system. I am using a Canon C100 over HDMI with his product. This is going to a MUST HD 7in + monitor yoke system. I am using a usb battery for both the transmitter and receiver. BUT beware that if you want to be mobile with this product, you must have a usb battery with a 5v output. The receivers needs 5v to operate. Also you will need the proper barrel to usb cable to plug into the receiver and usb battery. The receiver will not work if you trying to power via usb to usb cable. It needs to be the “barrel to usb” style cable. Asides from the work around this product is fantastic. The range is outstanding. I was outdoors with no obstructions to about 300 feet with no problem. The only downside to this product is that it is NOT an uncompressed signal vs. the “name brand” products out there. But I did not need that, I just use this to give a monitor to my client on a shoot.

Giving it a five star rating for overall ease of set up and picture quality. This product works as advertised. It is easy to set up, up and running within five minutes, excellent still picture quality and good video picture quality, only a few break ups / lines from time to time.I first tried the Netgear Push2TV, it worked right out of the box with my Kindle, however the video quality was very poor. I could never get it to work with my laptop, I spent hours trying to get it to work with no success, finally just gave up and sent it back.I then tried the Diamond Multimedia WPCTVPRO, this unit was very easy to set up, still picture quality was excellent, video quality was ok, but had lots of delay and pixilation. It then quit working after about an hour and I could never get it going again, gave up and sent it back as well. Then I saw the Nyrius, it was kind of pricy compared to the Netgear and Diamond, but it works great. Set up is plug and play (unlike Netgear) and picture quality is very good. So far very satisfied.

I had some doubts whether this would work to send an HDMI signal from the back of my Sony receiver to my Epson 730HD projector on my patio. The distance is only about 20′ but it’s through a double pane glass door that’s usually open when I’m on the patio, meaning that there are actually 4 panes in the way, and also the door frame itself. To complicate matters, I need to feed the transmitter through an Orei HD-102 2-port HDMI active splitter. I set everything up…and it all worked immediately! The splitter sits on top of my receiver and the ARIES transmitter is sticking-up vertically off the back of the splitter. I can see it from the patio if I move to the right position, but that’s not where the ARIES receiver is located. So this unit and the splitter are both getting 5 stars. I did have a glitch worth mentioning. My Sony Receiver has no USB port whereas my projector does. So I tried powering this ARIES system “backwards” meaning that I used the USB cord on the receiver end and the 120 vac adapter on the transmitter end. It worked for about 5 minutes that way but then the receiver “died”, as in, no power. After resetting everything including the projector it worked again for a while then quit again. I’m guessing that the ARIES receiver needs more power than the projector’s USB port can provide and that port is shutting down. So I grabbed the little USB charger for my iPad and reverted to that for the receiver and it worked fine from that point on. I watched several hours of various video sources outdoors including Blu-ray. There were no issues with anything as far as the video goes, and apparently no problems with HDCP. I did note that the speaker in the projector was not working (and I know it does work with a connection from my computer) so I’m guessing that the DD5.1 SS audio is not present in the HDMI output from my Sony receiver. But that’s a non-issue as I’m using speakers connected to the receiver (through an OSD 120-watt 2-channel amp) to provide the audio. It’s all good…!

I had two HDMI cables that were run behind a fireplace and through walls during a renovation project. After a year, one of the heads broke and after two years the other head snapped off when moving some furniture. The thought of having to bust up the walls again to run another cable was painfull. After doing research on the internet, I came accross the Nyrius product. It does exactly what it says it will do. It provides the same quality picture and sound to my TV from my HD Xfinity cable box without the need for an HDMI cable to connect the two devices. I plugged the transmitter in the cable box which is powered by the cable box itself. I then plugged the square receiver into an electrical outlet behind the TV to give it power and ran a small HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV. I thought I was goiong to have to go though a bunch of technical steps to get connection, but the sysytem worked like plug and play instantaneously. Anyone who wants to mount a TV somewhere and does not want to go through the mess of running HDM cables, this is for you. Caveat, you do need an electrical outlet where your TV is going to mounted and the receiver will be powered though.

Rarely does a product easily connect right out of the box without programming or set up issues, and this is one of those instances. The Nyrius wireless HDMI worked without a hitch the first time and everytime. It comes with everything you need to mount the receiving unit in back of theHDTV and in my case plugged right into the AC outlet located on the wall covered by the large flat screen. The provided HDMI cable was short enough to also hide behind the TV so no cords showed. Can’t even tell it is installed. The sending unit plugged right into my HDMI out on the laptop as well as the USB power cable to power the sending unit. They even provide you with an elbow to position the sending unit upright at a 90 degree angle to your computer. Everything was up and broadcasting within 10 minutes….a superb product! Would highly recommend if you want to get rid of those unsightly HDMI cables running from the back of your laptop from behind your TV!

I’ve been using it for almost a month now and I’ve never had a problem with it. Video transmits perfectly in sync with audio. I’ve played full length movies from my notebook without a hitch (2.5 hours+ at a time) and use it for photography/custom video’s. Craftsmanship is top notch. Here’s some things to be aware of:1) This is not a replacement for a computer monitor. I am transmitting to a 55″ TV, but text is hard to read. Pictures look crisp and clear as well as video. If I enlarge the text of my browser, I’m able to read it, but when the browser is at it’s default zoom level, it’s not readable at a distance. I believe this is the fault of the TV, not the transmitter.2) The unit that plugs into the HDMI port of the notebook does get very warm. This has me concerned about the life expectancy of the unit. (I have other devices that run this warm and are still working after years of use, but I worry because this is such a small device and I would miss it if it died on me).3) The LEDs on the transmitter are not visible when plugged in to my notebook because I have to plug it in upside down. Again, probably the fault of the notebook manufacturer, but it makes the LEDs useless to indicate signal and status as I can’t see them. It would have been nice to have them on both sides so it didn’t matter which way it was plugged in.Overall, I would buy again and recommend it as a great product.

Goal was to wirelessly project the screen of a business laptop (that had a VGA port, DisplayPort, and no HDMI port) to a 60″ SMART LED HDTV that was so slim that it did not include a VGA port. An additional criterion was that no software should need to be installed, since external parties may need to plug in their company laptops and may not be allowed to install software.News flash – VGA is analog while HDMI is digital, so buying a VGA-to-HDMI cable is useless. Buying a VGA-to-HDMI converter worked, but the image quality was poor – i.e. slightly blurry at best or did not fit the HDTV screen properly.Solution – buy this device and a DisplayPort-to-HDMI or mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter and the digital DisplayPort signal to this device’s HDMI adapter appears clearly and mouse movements shows up with virtually no delay. Opening IE with Flash video content had no latency either, while I did not test 3D videos. There is the reasonable and consistent 3 seconds or so delay when plugging (or unplugging and re-plugging) in the adapters and when the laptop screen appears on the HDTV. The adapter and receiver box does run warm to hot, but these devices typically do – no smoke nor burning plastic smell. I did have one incident where I bumped the laptop and the HDTV went black, but unplugging and plugging in the device fixed it. You can change screen modes from duplicate screen, extend screen, and projector only on your laptop and the output on the HDTV behaves as expected, without having fiddle around with your laptop screen resolution settings.Overall, this device is great for wireless HDMI connectivity and your best bet, since there are only a few options.

The purchasing of this product was for the benefit of low budget film making – if you are not interested in this product for this reason this information may or may not be of use to you.We purchased this product for transmitting video signal from our Hdmi capable cameras to and external monitor for AD/focus puller will working in the field. Best move we’ve ever made.We are currently utilizing this model for several functions in the office and in the field.ProsProduct works as advertised – 30 feet is pretty accurate with real time signal response.Works with usb power (if you don’t have a battery brick – use a USB portable power pack will last you a full day of shooting)Comes with Hdmi L shaped adapter for fitting tight spots.Works right away without software.ConsReceiver is a little awkward for placing in your pocket, small places, etc (the unit is actually not huge but was not optimal size for our needs.)Would be better to get the next model up which comes with more range in a smaller package.Other Uses: We are currently using it with our editing machines. An hdmi supported laptop with a HDTV makes a nice and cheap way to create an external monitor on the road.

The items works very well. I initially boxed the item to return but decided to test a different TV location. If the receiver has too many interfering obstacles, the signal displays content for a few seconds then turns off. You have to determine where the signal works best. I had to adjust my original setup because this device worked better on a different wall. I am transmitting between 2 walls, between the kitchen and the garage (sheetrock and tile). I put the TV on the wall closest to the transmitter. After moving the TV and unit closer, the images is clear 1080P without remote control lag. I am using this unit with a fitTek®Hdmi Splitter. This item saved me from needing at additional DirecTV box and power outlet. I’ll purchase another box for the backyard TV to test out.

I grew tired of dragging an HDMI cable from my TV to the couch where I use my laptop – this was the perfect replacement. No more tripping hazard for my pets as well as myself. I was concerned by some of the reviews about potential communication issues due to busy 5GHz channels but I experienced no issues whatsoever – it worked right out of the box. I used the unit for a couple hours before shutting down and considered my purchase a success.Easy to install and no drivers needed on my Windows 10 laptop. I did need the HDMI elbow in order to use the laptop’s USB port that is located next to the HDMI port (I used this USB port to power the transmitter). And with the transmitter pointing up, I feel there is less inclination to bump it against something while the laptop is in motion.I’m pleased with the product and would purchase it again.

This is an outstanding product. I just plugged the transmitter into my PC HDMI port (and USB for power); then plugged the receiver into my Panasonic large screen TV (and the TV’s USB port for power). Two AC adapters are also included in lieu of USB port power if desired, but if you elect to power both the source and the TV via USB port, you will need to provide an additional micro-USB cable as there is only one in the box. I switched my TV’s input to “Computer” and in mere seconds, the connection was automatically made, I “extended” my PC desktop to the TV using my PC display settings (in order to use the TV’s high resolution), and in seconds I was catching up on prior season episodes of a favorite TV drama. Alternatively, you can Mirror (duplicate) the PC desktop to your TV, but you will only get the resolution of your PC (vs “extending” the desktop). My web video source was not high def, so was not so on my TV, but I checked another higher def web video and it reproduced perfectly on the TV. Prior to purchasing this item, I researched a number of HDMI transmitter / receiver products available – some cheaper, some much more expensive. This Nyrius is middle of the road pricing with flawless installation and operation. I highly recommend this product.

I have had an HDMI out from my PC to my TV for a while now and it’s ALWAYS been a pain in the @$$. Having four and seven year old boys at home, you can imagine how many times a day the cable came unplugged – ugh! Cue the climb back under the computer desk to plug the sucker back in. Now I worry no more. I plugged the transmitter into the HDMI out of my PC & USB for power, then plugged the receiver into the HDMI in of my TV with the AC adapter for power – 15 seconds warm up and connect and it’s magic!Note: when initially connected it switched my computer/video out to “extended” mode which is not how I had been using it – I simply duplicate my desktop to my HDTV. Once I got my video settings switched back to duplicate mode, everything was in order.Warm-up/connect time: I was worried about the “warm up” time since when not in use, the receiver seems to go into a standby mode. I haven’t seen a problem with that however. When I turn the TV on, the receiver takes about as much time to warm up and connect to the transmitter as my TV takes to show a picture and/or switch inputs to the PC. So, it’s a non-issue.Lag: none, zero, zip, nada. Non-issue.In short, I love this product. I know the price seems steep, but sometimes steep is worth it.

I purchased this for our business. We have a large flat screen TV in one of our conference rooms and wanted to wirelessly run presentations from laptops. I was a little skeptical that this would work. Piece of cake! Just connect the transmitter to your computer, you will need a HDMI port (transmitter) and a USB port (for power to the transmitter), Connect the receiver to your TV with the HDMI cable provided and plug into a power source. Set TV to HDMI and Voilà whatever you have on your computer transmits to the TV including sound. We used an old XP laptop to test it and it worked great! This model says it needs line of vision to connect. I had the receiver sitting by the TV and was able to walk around the room and still keep a connection even when the transmitter was not directly in line with the transmitter so it seem to be a little forgiving in that regard. I am sure I wouldn’t work if the receiver was inside a cabinet although I didn’t try it. Great product, we will probably purchase more.

Great Product for my needs. My number 1 criteria is real-time transmission/display of a live 3D video 1920x1080p.This wireless connection performed flawlessly in real time within the room. Also, there was no crosstalk or interference when operating two different systems in two different rooms at the same time. The connection has been very reliable and the picture quality is superb, the same as in a wired connection. I bought 4 more.If you power the receiver using the electric socket and the USB power adapter, you will need to manually push the power button on the receiver to turn it on when you turn the monitor on. If you power the receiver by connecting the USB cable directly to the monitor’s USB port, The receiver will wake up automatically when the monitor’s power is turned on.I have not tested the system for long range transmissions. But it is great for short distance transmission.Elimination a major HDMI cable run from the middle of the room to the walls was a great accomplishment.Cons: Very pricy.

This product (Nyrius Aries Pro model NPCS600) worked flawlessly during my live concert show that lasted 12 hours straight. It stayed connected for the entire show! This wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver beamed through structures without any issues. It didn’t have to be within line of sight. It was also low latency, even though the company didn’t emphasize this much but they should! I hooked the Nyrius to an output of a 4 in/1 out HDMI switcher and it worked without any issues. I zoomed in on the singer and I didn’t see any delay in their lips synching to the audio. The Nyrius Pro delivered the video almost 100 feet away without any delays. It was reliable, low latency, and surely the best HDMI wireless transmitter/receiver that I bought. I bought 3 different types – JTECH WEX-60GA, JTECH WDEX-50M, and Nyrius Aries Pro NPCS600 – and the Nyrius Pro was the one that worked and worked flawlessly for the entire 12-hour concert show. I was very lucky to have bought the Nyrius to continue to beam the video from the camcorder to the big projector screen. Without it the show could have been a failure. I recommend this product to anybody that needs a reliable product that is important to be stable and working in a live presentation, especially livestreaming. In fact, I will be buying a few more of the Nyrius Aries Pro wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver to replace the JTECH ones. I hope this helps for those thinking of buying your next wireless HDMI equipment.

This device works great. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. No issues so far. Easy set up. I use it on my HP desktop with an ATI Radeon 4350 video card. The video is full HD and 100% crisp. There is no lag in the audio. Mounts very easily on the back of the TV. The right angle HDMI adapter works well for the tight space on the video card. I use it to stream movies and music to my home theater setup using a TV with audio return channel. I have not tried the 3D yet. I find no need to use the mini remote or the external IR receiver as I use only one transmitter. The HDMI transmitter and receiver connect automatically — no user interaction needed. If you find that the video is enlarged or shrunken, check the underscan/overscan settings of your video card driver. I had to play around with the driver settings to get it right, but at no fault to the Aries Pro.

This is a great little device. I opened the box, plugged the transmitter into the HDMI port on my laptop, plugged the receiver power cord into an electrical outlet at the remote monitor and plugged the (included!) HDMI cable into the receiver and monitor and it worked …. without me needing to do anything. No special software needed. I’m running Windows 10 but I’ve also used it this week on a Windows 8 machine and had the same experience. There are 3 pieces and 2 cables in the box. The “pieces” are: Nyrius Transmitter dongle (plugs into the computer), a right angle converter to the orient the dongle to stand vertically instead of parallel to the desk/table and a receiver small “box” (3′ x 3″ x 1.5″) that sits at the monitor. The cables are: An HDMI cable to connect receiver to Monitor and a USB cable (See note #1 below). Two notes to be aware of:1) The transmitter “dongle” plugs into the HMDI port on your computer BUT it also has a short USB cable to attach to a USB port on the computer to provide power to the transmitter. Thus you’ll also need an available nearby (adjacent) USB port.2) The transmitter “dongle” is larger (wider when viewed from above) that your average flash drive so if your HDMI port is directly next to a USB, you’ll likely lose the use of that USB port when you use the Nyrius system. Thus in my case, using the Nyrius system cost me TWO USB ports – one for the USB power cord to the Nyrius dongle and the USB port that got blocked by the Nyrius Dongle. In my case, I solve this problem by using my USB port replicator and a USB port on the other side of my laptop to accommodate my USB connections (mouse, printer, phone, etc).Overall, I love this unit!!

This item was purchased for a client who needed conference room laptop to large display functionality. Within a few minutes everything worked as expected. Here is my assessment.1. Ease of hookup >5 stars2. Quality > 5 stars ….. This is a product that I will buy for home use.3 I cannot comment on distance issues as the unit and laptop are located in the same room.4. Client satisfaction > 6 starsIt may take a minute or so to navigate the menu and choose the right source for content delivery to your screen. This seems to be the norm when you play with toys and is not an issue whatsoever. I went with the high end version so as to avoid any possible performance issues and was duly impressed with the quality. As a matter of fact the output looks a lot better on the big screen TV then on the laptop itself. No kidding.Recommendation: If you need wireless video content delivery you must strongly consider purchasing this unit.
JDA –
Perfectly fit my needs: transmitting HD video and audio from my laptop to my TV which is separated by a distance and room arrangement that makes it impractical to use an HDMI cable. I can’t speak to the advertised 1080p quality as I only have a 720p capable TV, but the picture I do get is good and I don’t have any issues with audio sync or quality either (caveat is that I’m using the TV speakers). I have not suffered any disconnects; the only semi-related issue (on occasion) is that the base unit (connected to the TV) sometimes doesn’t turn off when you shut down your computer (which should terminate the transmission signal and therefore tell the base to also shut down). This is a minor issue as you can simply power it down manually by pressing the button….and again, this only happens on occasion and not regularly or consistently. I do have clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver which undoubtedly helps. Set up was extremely easy; basically “plug and play.” Overall, while I do feel that it’s a little pricey (I think $100 would be appropriate), I am very satisfied with it and definitely recommend it to those who face similar room distance/arrangement issues.

I tried wireless video transmitters a very long time ago (7+ years) and was far from impressed. I decided that enough time has passed and technology probably has come a long way since my past experience. My Nyrius ARES Pro Wireless Transmitter came in the mail and I had to set it up as quickly as possible. I plugged the transmitter into my computer and plugged the receiver into my monitor and within seconds, my desktop was being displayed on the monitor. I was a little skeptical about the “No latency” claim, but after seeing how this performs, I couldn’t detect any latency. I was impressed! The ARES Pro worked perfectly and seamlessly. I also tested out the transmission distance to around 20 feet and it worked great. It says it can reach 100 feet, but I would have to run the monitor outside if I wanted to try that out.Overall, the ARES Pro exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend this to anyone that needs to wirelessly transmit video.

Anyone looking for a multiple-platform solution for displaying content on an HDTV should take a close look at this product. I don’t know if anything can touch it for the money. I have an Apple TV for Macs (doesn’t work easily with all) a Intel WiDi receiver (very spotty) and of course, HDMI cables. This one device replaces everything. It even comes with a remote IR detector so you can mount it behind the HDTV. A true Plug-n-Play device. The only complaint I have is the remote either has a dead battery out-of-the-box, or there is an issue with it. I’m replacing the battery today and will find out. I used it with Sony laptops (built-in HDMI) and with Mac book Pro laptops and with the Surface Pro tablet. The Mac Book Pros and the Surface Pros both use the same Mini-Display to HDMI adapter. All worked perfectly. Picture quality is superior to both the WiDi and the Apple TV, hands down. A little tweaking of the HDTV to compensate for slight over-scan and DONE! We are ready for any situation in our conference room.

Now that I have it working, it works great. Getting to that point is another story and it is not the fault of this hardware. The issue is that a very small percentage of laptop/notebook/netbook owners have a HDMI port on their devices. They seem to be fairly common on the Win8 lapdogs, but none of my computer savvy friends or I have little or no interest in the Win8 OS. What this means is that if you do not have a HDMI port on your device, you will need to invest in an USB to HDMI converter. This adds another variable into the setup. I purchased what I considered a quality converter but they are not PNP. Had some issues with the driver for that unit but finally got that sorted out. When using a converter, the whole setup is very sensitive to correct converter driver installation and the order in which all the devices are connected and powered up. Now that I have the combination down, everything works great. As I previously mentioned, any work arounds that I had to use were no fault of this hardware.

I’ve had this unit for 4 months now and I love it. I use this to broadcast PC games from my desktop that’s roughly 40 feet away, with no walls, just some furniture in between. I was worried about putting the receiver unit inside my entertainment center behind a closed door, but I’ve tried it inside and out with no noticeable difference. It usually connects without any issue, but on occasion the screen will be black when I try turning on the PC but all I have to do to fix it is either unplug and re plug in the dongle on my PC or switch inputs on my receiver and switch them back.As for video quality, it looks pretty good on my 65″ TV @ 1080p 30hz, but you can notice compression artifacts, especially if you look for them. Like all MPG compression, it is more noticeable in darker areas. Having said all of that, my wife has a hard time telling, unless I point them out. And when I get into a game and start playing it then I almost always forget that they’re there. I’ve tried some other solutions and the Nyrius ARIES looks better than anything other than running a 50 foot HDMI cable to the TV. I still use Kainy to stream to my android tablet sometimes, but the quality on that is noticeably worse and occasionally cuts out.

Expecting all sorts of issues, as with anything wireless, I was pleasantly surprised during our initial testing to find that this little gem of a device is about as plug-and-play as you can get.No buttons, software or convoluted steps to follow. Plug in, power on, and in a few seconds, your laptop (or desktop) display is cloned to a big screen TV or other HDMI display device. In our case, we have a new 60″ SONY HDTV (in our office’s conference room) and connected the receiver to one of the HDMI inputs. The transmitter dongle is a bit larger than a USB “thumb drive”. We tested the receiver on multiple laptop types, including a Macbook Air and Pro (both just a bit too old to support AirPlay Mirroring), and multiple Dell laptops and in a few seconds, our displays were up on the TV! Very cool.Quality is top notch, with no visible delay. If you’re looking for an all-around easy-to-use device that works on multiple platforms, this is it.As an aside, we tried to use newer Dell laptops with Intel WiDi and it was an utter failure. That technology is nowhere near ready for prime time. Because of this, we went with the Nyrius Aries PRO and never looked back!

Wirelessly send whatever is on your computer screen to your TV. I use it with a Mac laptop, but it can also be used with Windows laptops and desktop computers. All you need is an HDMI port on your TV, and an available HDMI port and USB port on your computer. With Mac, you may need to get a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter if your Mac doesn’t have an HDMI port, but that’s cheap and you should have it no matter what. Set-up was so simple. First, plug the main unit (square shaped device) into an HDMI port on your TV. Next, plug one end of the included USB cable into the dongle (black stick that says Nyrius), and the other end of the USB cable goes to your computer. Finally, insert the dongle into an HDMI port on your computer. As stated earlier, for Macs with no HDMI port, you will need a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to put in between. Hope this helps. Enjoy this awesome product

I do not usually write reviews, but I had to chime in on this cool little gadget. Regardless of what other reviewers have posted about whether or not this broadcasts a “truly uncompressed” signal doesn’t really matter much if you are a simple home or business user that simply needs your laptop screen to be broadcasted to a TV screen with HDMI input. THIS ARIES PRO unit DOES THE JOB and DOES IT BEAUTIFULLY!! Pulling it out of the box, I simply plugged in the transmitter to my HDMI port on my laptop, plugged in the USB cable from the transmitter to an open USB port, then plugged in the receiver to an available wall outlet for power (110v AC) and plugged the HDMI cable in from the receiver to the back of the TV, changed the “source” (or “input” on some TV’s) to HDMI, and bammo!! There my laptop screen showed up, bright and crystal clear! I had a regular HDMI cable running from the laptop to the TV, and I truly honestly have to say that I do not see a difference in quality! The picture is bright and clear, and there was absolutely NO LAG TIME, whether browsing the internet, watching videos on YouTube, or watching movies on Netflix. This unit from Nyrius performed flawlessly. So seriously, folks, if you are considering a wireless HDMI setup, THIS IS IT!! You WILL NOT be disappointed. So don’t let all the other reviews about “poor quality”, or “not a true uncompressed signal” fool you – I don’t know what system they’re using or what they’re expecting this unit to do (perhaps restore crappy analog quality to a digital clearness?!) but it works PERFECTLY for me. And I tend to be fussy about my quality. Yes, as others mentioned, the transmitter does seem to run quite warm, but so long as it was made to be this way, then I can’t complain about that either. Now I can set my laptop up all the way across the room (24 feet away for my place) and have DVD-quality video on my TV without running the lanky wires! BUY IT! You WON’T be disappointed!!!

I am one to not ever leave feedback for anything, but this is definitely one of those products that definitely deserves it. Long story short, I was a non-believer that this product would work in the way I wanted it to, figured it was wireless and would have a lag when it came to streaming. I have it connected to my receiver for the output and connected to my projector for input. I run my cable, Xbox one, Wii U, firestick through my receiver. No issues whatsoever with any of them and absolutely no lag. Wish I wasn’t skeptical about it at first, would have saved me about $600 from paying someone to come over and run a crappy 50ft HDMI cable through my crown molding that would cut the signal in and out anytime I would watch a movie or play a game.(as well as messing up my crownmolding) If you doubt this product, don’t! Learn from my mistake.

Zero complaints – works without setup straight from the box – very pleased. Using it to project drone feed from controller (DJI CrystalSky 7.85 Ultra) to widescreen monitor to support customers. No noticeable latency (flew the drone from the receiving monitor without issue / concern). No interference Kit comes with a 90 degree angle adapter for the transmitter stick – which is good as otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to power the transmitter using the CrystalSky’s USB port since its directly below the HDMI port.. Thankfully the 90 degree adapter, in effect, turns the transmitter perpendicular from the side of the CrystalSky leaving accessibility to the USB port. Haven’t tried pushing the limits on distance (no real need for my application), but did check reception out to over 70 feet without any signal loss (would have gone further but my view of the receiver became blocked and my lil helper grew bored helping Dad with his toys…) Great product so far. I ‘did’ order/incorporate a 6″ USB2.0-Micro cable in place of the provided one just to reduce the amount of slack between the transmitter and the USB power source (for my application using the CrystalSky monitor).

Among several options for wirelessly connecting our laptops in a small office to a 70″ wall-mounted flat screen, we tried this Nyrius ARIES system (we also tried a WIDI transmitter and wireless direct connect to a projector). This thing works wonderfully. Plug it in, it immediately connects to the TV with no setup. We usually have our laptops in “extended screen” mode so that resolution is maximized on the big screen. It’s completely responsive, no delay in video or moving the mouse on the screen. It is, quite simply, a wireless replacement for an HDMI cable. When someone else wants to project, we just pass the dongle around. We also use an adapter for the few laptops that have a DisplayPort instead of standard HDMI output, and I’m going to buy a couple more HDMI adapters for visitors that have mini-HDMI or other video outputs. Bottom line, this thing works great, we love it.By the way, the WIDI adapter we have (NetGear Push2TV) is much less elegant of a solution. You have to run a small app on the laptop, tell it connect to the TV, and it’s lower resolution and very low responsiveness to mouse movement, making it nearly impossible to work on the large screen. (Videos do play just fine, though.) Separately, I bought a Google ChromeCast to try and that is even more limited, it only works for watching videos on Netflix and Youtube, and marginally can display a Chrome browser window.

First off…I do consider myself a professional photographerVideographer. I make a pretty decent living doing so. I shoot still photography wirelessly through wireless transmitters and allow my customers to view images immediately.I have been asked to provide video wirelessly to monitors throughout venues many times. I started investigating various products that could allow me to do just that. Teradek,Paralinx and several other companies had products that just appeared to pricy for ME. I shoot with high end canon 5d mark lll, canon 7d and canon xa10.I read about paralinx and while investigating them I ran across another review of this Nyrius Pro Aries. Well for the price I figured I would give it a try. I connected transmitter to my Canon xa10 and connected the receiver to my flat screen. When I selected hdmi imput, the camera was already connected!!!! Excellent picture quality.I walked through my home and loss signal briefly when I went downstairs into my garage (cinderblock) , at first it appeared to be a 1/4 second lag, I adjusted in camera settings and fixed that.I purchased a battery charger also to power the transmitter. I would recommend this product. Those units $1000.00 and more are going to need to change their pricing structure.

We have been trying to find a solid wireless solution for our projectors for years now. All of our projectors have a built in WiFi connection but unfortunately have more lag than a fiat trying to pull a yacht. I am not sure why wireless video has taken so long to actually work…but the NPCS549 has surpassed anything I have seen yet.The PROS:- The PRICE! ($149 vs. $1,000’s in cabling costs in our office building)- Super easy devices to install (literally plug and play)- Blazing fast connection (no lag whatsoever)- HDMI interface that seamlessly integrates audio- 3D compatibleThe CONS:- USB power connector is on the side of the adapter and blocks the only free USB port on our laptop (easy fix – we just used the included AC Power adapter).Overall, these are incredible devices. I have tried devices from other vendors and have had numerous issues with them loosing sync between the transmitter and receiver. This one is affordable and seamless for non-techie users. Thank you for finally creating a device that doesn’t require a phone call to IT every time we need to use the projector.

I’m not one for reviews but after seeing this product in a video blog site for a cheap fix for external monitors… I had to try it.I got this shipped to my office and the day I got it I took it into one of the conference rooms and plugged it in and IT WORKED! No hassles at all. I took it transmitter down the hall with about 4 concrete walls in between and it still worked! I later took it out on a video shoot and hooked it up to my Canon 5D mkIII and sent it to my director who was viewing on a Marshall field monitor and a good city block away and still no issues.I finally had issues when I was testing far distances and a lot of walls but what I am using it for (remote monitors) its works great! my clients love being able to be mobile.

This is one of the best devices I have bought recently. Connectivity was a breeze an I had to work to cock it up (I have to figure out how my wife might screw it up when I am not around, so I can advise her how to rectify the sudden panic situation she has sourced). Needless to say correcting these things was simple. Now what seems to get short shrift in these reviews is the USB back channel. This works excellently. I acquired a wireless keyboard with trackball. Connecting it directly to the PC is required to get the drivers loaded on the PC. Pair the Receiver and the keyboard. Plug the keyboard receiver into the short USB adapter cable provided and plug that into the Nyrius receiver at the TV, and you have it. This is most important if you intend to operate a remote PC from the living room (45 feet away in another room, in my case). I have seen only one other very new equivalent product that realized this as well.At 45 feet with lath and plaster and chicken wire walls, wireless does not penetrate well. WIFI needed a booster in line of sight to put the Internet in the living room from the PC. This HDMI wireless device worked without fault and only required some minor placement twiddling to get the image defect free. Full speed HD from the PC to the monitor. SO the TV, a new Samsung LED 3D 50″ worked just fine once I set the PC to clone (The PC has a 1080 26″) and the Samsung screen sizing to fit. At Normal the Samsung is slightly underscanned as compared to the computer 1920×1080.

I previously bought the Google Chromecast, which I returned after problems with it locking up. After reading the reviews on this unit I purchased it and have been very happy with the purchase. Whatever is on your laptop screen appears on the tv in very good quality HD. The laptop adapter plugs into an HDMI port and has a USB power cable that is long enough to reach to the far side of the laptop. The TV adapter plugs into an HDMI port and has a 120v USB adapter to power the TV adapter. Both units get a little warm but don’t heat up the plug at the laptop.I’ve now had this unit for 4 months and am very happy with it. No problems at all.November 2017 update. It’s hard to believe I’ve been using this for almost three years. Still very happy with the purchase!

I travel and work a lot from vacation rentals where I like to use a TV screen instead of my tiny work lap-top. I found stringing long HDMI cables across rooms where people need to walk to be nerve-wracking and hazardous. Needed a wireless option, and was not disappointed with this one.Once the HDMI ends are all plugged in, turn on the TV and computer, and presto! Everything works. No special set-up, no need to do anything extra to sync the ends, no downloading software, no fiddling with buttons and praying to the digital gods. What a happy surprise! The other thing to note is both ends do need power. Since batteries wouldn’t last long and I spend HOURS at a computer, I was specifically looking for something to plug in to power the ends. The TV end requires a regular 120 volt wall plugin. The computer end has a USB cable for power. You can plug the USB end into your PC computer, or use a USB power outlet (I carry a surge protector with USB plugins).I love it!

works exactly as i expected. wanted to get rid of some hdmi/display cables for our tv on the wall, and this thing works perfectly (we just place it behind the tv). no software needed. just need to plug the transmitter into your computer (note that you’ll need power for this but it comes with 1 usb cable so it actually takes up 1 usb slot + the hdmi slot on your pc). i’ve tried moving the laptop further than 30 feet and it still works really well (image perfectly clear). however, you need to make sure there isn’t any big obstacles directly in the way or else image quality may degrade. very happy with the purchase. i wish it could come with 2 usb cables instead of 1 since my tv has usb slots that could also power the receiver, but those are cheap to buy and i had an extra one at home already and it works.package comes with:receiver x1hdmi transmitter x1ac power cable x2usb cable x1 (to plug into your pc and power the transmitter)instructions

If you like to use your big screen tv as a laptop monitor then this is the product for you. It’s a good product if you like projecting items on your laptop (like vacation photos, etc) to your big screen tv. I’m very happy with this product, one of my best purchases of the year. I also have an AppleTV but it doesn’t really show my whole iPod screen to the tv monitor.Likes (worthy of a 5 star):The whole concept of projecting from the laptop to the big screen is amazing.Very easy to install, basically plug and play.Never had a problem since I’ve been using it.Dislike:I don’t think it’s a product flaw but i have disabled the sleep mode of my laptop because when the laptop sleeps in the middle of watching a Netflix movie the tv screen also sleeps. It’s also not compatible with the iPod because it requires a USB port.Maybe make the transmitter smaller.

I’ve used this unit to transmit video from a crowd of 200 people at a huge Halloween party in a massive venue. I know I got more than 150 feet away, and this thing held rock-solid. To be fair, I did have the receiver mounted about 20 feet off the ground on a truss above the party DJ, so it was pretty much line-of-sight the entire time. Even during the occasional dropout, the video came right back up…as if the link held solid, but it just didn’t have enough “oomph” to transmit the video along with it.I’ve also used it on a Glidecam (to transmit video back to my client), and I got similarly good results. It’s a bit of a pain to have to power it with a 5V source, but I just bought a 12,000mah USB “charger” deal, and velcroed it to the side of my camera, and did the same thing for the receiver, and it worked great. It’s a small price to pay for performance of this quality. For the price, this unit can’t be beat.

Works as advertised. We had another brand that kept losing the signal or digitizing continually, and needed something to replace it. We didn’t want to invest several hundred dollars into this because we needed it merejly for getting a TV HD cable picture into a master bathroom that had no cable outlets. Our tv is about 30 feet from tran the cable box where this is located. Large furniture is in the line of sight, but that doesn’t stop the unit from providing a good quality HD picture with good sound.I use HDMI cable with this, and it wors flawlessly. Great color, clarity and sound.Having had a couple of these type things over the years, this one is truly the best, high quality, lower cost unit.I recommend to anyone needing a good video transmitter for HD TV, in those hard to reach areas of the house or business.

This set was exactly what I wanted to add to a second screen system I have at my living room.Among the options I had, i.e. running a second HDMI cable through the walls from my TV room to my living room’s ceilling where the projector is installed , Nyrius Prime Wireless HDMI set was a solution to the hassle of moving the projector from ceilling (which has only one hdmi input) every time I wanted to make a presentation or a vacation’s picture slide show to the extended family on weekends from my laptop.Nyrius is like an easygoing one, by meaning it is so easy to install and use, just out of the box.It is really a plug and play device, exactly if I were installing a new driver for a printer on my computer. Once the driver was installed, it took less than 15 seconds for the transmitter and the receiver on the projector to pair. The instructions included on the set I received, are limited to a flyer, like a quick start guide, which usually come with electronics, basically a few text and a sequence of drawing’s explanation, that missed that you MUST connect the provided USB power cord to the pen drive as to have it operational.Besides that, it has been working very well for two weeks now , with no image interruptions when I move the laptop within the range of 30ft of the receiver to capture the signal. It does what it is designed for ,which is a major accomplishment considering the fact that it performs perfectly well for the price.Delivered ahead of schedule, it Solved my problem for a reasonable price , in just a few minutes.I would tend to recommend it to my friends and definelly would buy again.

I purchased this product in order to send a wireless HDMI signal from my dvd bluray player to my projector located on the other side of the room. The product worked right out of the box. A few helpful tips for someone working with this setup. The transmitter requires a USB connection for power, so if you are not transmitting from a laptop, you are going to need a usb to wall adapter in addition to supply power. I cannot tell the difference between using the wireless and the wired connection with a Blu-ray Disc. The quality looks clear and there is no delay between the picture and sound. The unit comes with no instructions and I spent about 5 minutes on their website trying to locate a manual. I never found it and just figured it out myself. There is a customer support phone number that is available during business hours. This unit saved me having to go under the house to run an HDMI cable.

Very pleased so far. I needed a screen mirroring setup for work. Other departments were using Clickshare, which was the first I’d seen of the technology. This is a much cheaper option that works well so far. I have a test setup in one conference room. If it holds up, I’ll purchase 4 more for the Director’s office and the other conference rooms. My only concern is that the little piece that plugs into the laptop gets hot quickly. I’m worried it’ll burn itself out. Nice thing is that there is a right-angle adapter included with it so it doesn’t have to lie flat against the table when inserted in the USB slot. That said, the adapter was not in use when in use for 6 straight hours and did not overheat/burn out. Easy to use, compact, easy to install, easy to teach others how to use.

This is the second time I have had to purchase a product like this. I have a flat screen on the wall and a media center that has to sit around 10 feet away and there isn’t the ability to run cables. The first unit I used (made by a different manufacturer) did a decent job, but there were problems with it, especially with the fact that the transmitter unit was bulky and tended to run hot. I believe this is what ended up causing it to fail was the continual heat buildup.First thing I liked out of the box with this unit was the transmitter is very tiny … little bigger than a USB card. It has a very low profile and I can see some great advantages to this design as I can unplug it from my media center and plug it into a lap top to stream images to my TV. Something I didn’t think I needed, but an option that I have been able to take advantage of several time.I have been using this unit for a little over a month now and it has worked perfectly. It took little time to set up and I believe that this unit has worked better so far than the previous unit I was using. I would highly recommend.

I pastor a small home-missions church, and about 4 months ago we invested in a projector for scriptures and song lyrics. Our intention was to mount the projector on the ceiling, but in order to run an HDMI cable from our laptop (and not have exposed cords…), we either needed to tear into the sheet-rock in the wall and ceiling or find an HDMI wireless transmitter. I bought this transmitter based on the good reviews I saw, and I don’t regret it at all. It was completely “plug-and-play”. I plugged the transmitting side into the laptop HDMI port (looks like an oversized flash drive…) and the USB power cord into one of the USB ports. Then I plugged the receiver box into the projector with the included HDMI cord, plugged it into an outlet and… Tah-Daaah! It seriously took 30 seconds and I never even opened the instructions. We do not transmit through any walls, and our sanctuary is only 40 feet long, but my wife can run the projector from any seat in the church while I’m preaching. We tested the video capability by playing some youtube videos over the projector and even with an HD projector, no visual quality appeared to be lost and the sound had no delay at all. I would recommend this product in a heart-beat to someone with similar needs as us. If you need to go through walls, maybe get the pricier version. If not, this should work fine.

Works perfectly once you figure out the details within Windows (I’m on 7). It can be plugged in to duplicate your laptop screen or become a completely different screen, where it’s very easy to lose track of your cursor. Also, there are virtually no instructions with the product. Simple three drawings showing the obvious (power, hdmi connection). However, in order to get the sound from the laptop to the TV, you must change the Sound setting to Default to the new connection. Fortunately, it reverts back to the laptop when you unplug the Nyrius. However, you can also simply change the Default back to your laptop monitor. The quality of the video is pretty much perfect, although we only have a 41″ screen. Also, the sound is terrific. We finally have an alternative to Roku and our DVD. Even better, we can make anything on the laptop, including spreadsheets, Word docs, etc show up on the TV wirelessly. Previously, we had dangerous cords everywhere.

We installed a TV, in our conference room, to replace the ceiling projector. We also wanted to replace the cables with a wireless solution. I chose the Nyrius unit because it’s a simple plug and play solution that does not require any software drivers.Setup is easy. The transmitter and receiver already come paired. There is a procedure to pair the units, if needed. The receiving unit is small enough that I Velcro’ed it to the back of the TV. I installed the power cable and ran the included HDMI cable from the unit to the TV’s HDMI1 input. The transmitter plugs into the laptops HDMI port. There is an included 1′ USB-A cord that plugs into an open USB port on the laptop to provide power to the receiver. My laptop only has 1 USB-A port. I found that the HDMI port and the only USB-A port were to close together. The kit does include a 90 degree HDMI adapter which angles the receiver and allows me to use the USB port that would normally be obstructed. After plugging in the receiver the TV displayed the laptop screen image within 5-8 secs at 1080p.There is no video or audio lag. We played videos and the video/audio were synced perfectly. This unit is rated for max distance of 30′ which is the max distance of our conference room. No issues, even at the farthest point.I would recommend this unit.Good purchase.

My husband and I purchased the Nyrius Wireless HDMI transmitter for a very specific purpose and it has worked exceptionally well for us in the short time that we have owned it. My husband does video for weddings, and he transmits live footage of the event on a projection screen. This has allowed us to wirelessly connect our Canon C100 Mark II with our VGA projector (through the use of an adapter dongle). We have used this in our living room on a trial basis and the picture is of excellent quality. We were able to transmit signal through several walls from our deck to our living room. We have also tested it in a dance hall full of people with cell phones, and there was no interference. The Nyrius technology has allowed us to go wireless, which has improved our ability to capture video from multiple angles and has eliminated the safety hazards associated with using cables. We are very pleased with this item so far!

I installed this in my home entertainment closet about 12-15ft from the receiver near my TV and most of the time, it works flawlessly with the door closed. The door is perpendicular to the TV so the only object this is having to transmit though is the door and no denser walls. I do notice some pixelation on startup but this quickly goes away. If I’m standing in front of the closet, between the receiver and transmitter, I do start to experience pixelation. I also did have to install a 1ft HDMI extension to get the transmitter away from other devices in my closet which includes a range extender and smart Blu-ray, player both using Wifi.I can see how this device would be weak or not work with ranges greater than 15ft unless you can maintain line-of-sight which isn’t a reality for most people but I’m happy with my purchase.

I admit it. I was skeptical when I bought this. But I was desperate. God knows why, but the builder of our condominium chose to locate the cable on a wall that would never be used to locate a TV, with the only obvious TV location no where near it. Result: long coaxial cable running along the baseboard, inside a closet over the floor, and then back along the baseboard to reach the TV. Needless to say, my wife was not happy. And we all know what that means. So, fingers crossed, I bought this as “the solution.” Well, lo and behold, the thing actually worked! The distance as the crow flies from the transmitter attached to the cable box (which I relocated on top of a bookshelf) to the small square receiver plugged onto HDMI 1 on the back of the TV is about 10 feet. Picture quality is excellent – true HDMI – and is difficult to distinguish from the picture quality with a direct cable connection. Also, I was a bit concerned about potential interference cause by a wireless router located about 8 to 10 feet from the Nyrius transmitter (on the website they warn you in small print that this can sometimes occur), but there was no interference. One minor caveat: the transmitter is a “dongle” which is plugged into the HDMI output on my cable box, but it requires its own power supply via a separate USB cable. Fortunately, my cable box has a USB port, and I plugged the USB cable, which is provided by Nyrius in the box, into that USB port for power. However, if the HDMI source you plan to transmit from does not have a USB port, then you will have to use one of those little transformers that converts USB to 110 volt standard AC (like you use with a cell phone or Kindle charger). Nyrius does not provide one of those little transformers, so if you need one you will have to buy one or steal one from one of your other devices.
