It’s alright. If you have money I still think rog phone is better.
For the money it’s worth it. If asus rog phone didn’t have motherboard problems I would’ve probably went for asurog phone instead. Rog phone is still designed than the red magic, but I bought red magic because of the ridiculously cheaper price tag. And I think I got exactly what i paid for. Everything looks good from a hardware standpoint, but the software is kinda bad. Minor spelling mistakes in the software settings, lack of polish, the animations are off. It does feel like a knockoff of an rog phone. But I am happy because I think it’s worth the nearly half price of the rog.

Best upgrade
Had the Red Magic 5G for 4 years, so I was due for an update. Best upgrade I’ve had in my life. The quality of the phone worth the price, battery life can last update to 3 days with the ultra life saver setting. The phone runs smoothly with multiple things running at once in the background. The quality of the screen is super crispy and I love it.

What i wanted but with too many flaws to keep.
I wanted a phone that had good graphics and long battery life and This phone was one of the first results that came up. The reviews were good and the price was far cheaper then others so i went ahead and bought it and used it for a month or two.First off ive always had samsungs phones. While both of them are android based, they felt completely different from eachother. Now for the review.Pros:1. The screen is beautiful. I never seen a phone screen that looked this good.2. The battery life is insane. It blows my mind just how long this phone can stay alive. After a long night at work it’ll still be at around 80%3. Can have two sims cards in at once and switch easily between the two.Now for the cons:1.Every app is google based. If you like google then this shouldn’t be an issue but for me its very annoying. I shouldn’t have to log into google to use simple apps like calender or gallery.2. Lots of settings that bypass eachother. For instance, theres 2 different default setting that turns apps off completely so they are not running in background. This meant i wasn’t getting any notifications from things like discord and twitch, and also games that used locations like pokemon go or pikmin bloom wouldnt work properly. I had to turn off this feature twice to get apps running normally again.3. 3G, 4G, and 5G have a defualt setting where all phone calls use RTT. Its a feature mainly used for those hard of hearing as what ever someones saying is automatically typed out. Problem is everyone who answers your phone call will have their phone put on mute unless they manually turn it off themselfs. Good luck explaining this to every single person you call. No you can’t turn this off in the settings. Just google “how to turn off RTT on red magic 8” to see the hundreds of other people frustrated with this.4.the camera doesn’t take bad photos but isn’t good either. Thats wasn’t really an issue for me but the photo editor was. Most basic editing features are locked behind a monthly subscription paywall from google. Which is insane.5. I know this is advertised as a gaming phone but it has such a bad stereotypical gamer aesthetic i kinda cringed. Black and red, dark, warrior, Anime Girl AI companion.Tldr: the phone had want I wanted. Beautiful screen, amazing battery life but it came with so many other problems it wasn’t worth it. Even for the price.

This is truly a great device. However, there is a lack of information on how to operate. It took some tampering with, but I figured it out.

Android phone that doesn’t do what it says
I was hyped for this phone, but unfortunately, many of the things I should do with a gaming phone, I cannot. First of all, I cannot play many games as many games are not comparable with the phone for some odd reason. I couldn’t even play final fantasy 7 or 8, which was the main reason why I bought this phone. The phone IS pretty, but you are better off with a Samsung or a oneplus as the only games that’ll work on this phone is mainstream battle Royale games. And before you ask, no, Retroarch is NOT compatable with this phone. Returning.

Who knew fans built into phones would work so well!
I play games and my some plays Roblox on my phone all the time. This device is a beast at cooling and battery life. My son left the phone on Roblox going for 2 straight hours, luckily with the fan on and it was able to mitigate majority of the heat with ease. When the fan is on to max settings, it can be loud but who cares, that’s what an audio jack is for.Just don’t bring this near water. Can’t wait for the red magic laptop. I hope they build in connections to the red magic phone.

Best gaming phone ever however not perfect
In terms of highest level console gaming the red magic 9 pro is in a league of its own and far exceeds my s23 ultra. However, there can be some occasional overheating issues that red magic needs to send out updates to resolve that can sustain the console games also the software needs some work to compare to one ui but strictly in terms of gaming the red magic is absolutely phenomenal and even the 15 pro max can’t compare to it

Current review…may change later…. UPDATE
I have the phone less than 24 hrs. The phone received a systems update after cloning my files over. For now I want to address the issues highlighted by other buyers n social media.1) no RTT issue with dialer…2) wifi is fine but it was slower than Asus ROG 5 with dual wifi band3) no Bluetooth dropsThese 3 issues almost prevented me from buying the phoneFast phone. Battery does not drain quickly.. could be true all day phone… Speakers are not as good as Asus ROG 5I’ll reserve my final view until after I have usage timeUPDATEIt’s a solid phone… All the issues highlighted by other reviews must have been taken care of in systems updateThe wifi speed matches my Asus ROG 5…Very fast phoneOnly wish is they had battery mgmt feature like Asus… Let’s u charge to 80-90% on steady charge to praerve battery life. My battery life is still close to 100% healthy using 80% charge limitw my Asus phone

Banger of a phone
I purchased the 12gig 256gig model. I’ve been throwing everything at it. Pub G, cod mobile, gta, pokemon go, bleach brave souls ECT. Everything has ran on max without any issue. The fan isn’t as loud as others say. You can hear it but it’s not distracting in the slightest. Especially when your focused on your game. Setting up the triggers is extremely simple and helpful especially with pub G. Rip apex mobile. This would have been a really good phone to play on. Battery is ridiculous. I played from 1pm-5pm and only saw about 45% battery drop. Definitely a all day sit in the chair and play on your day off kind of phone. Charges with the included charger I typically see from 45% to 90% in about 25 minutes. Enough time to take a break, grab some food and hop back on. I really don’t have any negatives about the phone but time will tell. At this point if you’re thinking about it I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Awesome cellphone
I got it today 4/18/2023 after waiting 8 days to arrive to Costa Rica, standard shipping was fast, the sound is a blast, is ultra fast, no issues whatsoever, it doesn’t get hot due to the new snapdragon version 2 and the fan, am not a camera person so I don’t care about that, the “silver” version is actually titanium version so am really really happy with this color, not into gaming but I use a lot of YouTube so needed a bigger battery and awesome raw performance, 65 watts charger already included and a case has well, there is a few things I don’t like, like not having the RGB light permanently on and I can’t change the rainbow color to blue for the fan and will only be rainbow, and not dust and water resistant, it uses gorilla glass 5, they could put victus gorilla glass and remove the other 2 useless cameras and just leave the 50mp one, other than those issues, it will be my daily phone for the next 3 years.

Great for gaming but Look into other devices
I bought this phone because I was looking for something that wasn’t mainstream that I could game on when I was bored. The phone is fast and the design is sleek. The gamepad buttons work great and the gaming features in itself are nice. The battery life and the time it takes to charge are insane. from 2% to 90 in under 15 minutes. I was amazing. That’s about it.It was an absolute pain to find a carrier to work with this phone. I finally was able to get Verizon to do it but in order for them to even get it to work, that had to activate the sim card in another phone then place it into mine. Reception in it sucks, You will rarely get 5G to even work if at all. WIFI calling doesn’t work and every time that I would inquire through the manufacturer, they would just tell me its not enabled and to “keep an eye on our website”.The camera in it isn’t the greatest to say the least. Its almost impossible to get a clear picture and don’t even try getting one zoomed in. Using the forward looking camera, the quality on that one alone is about as good as you would get from a Motorola Razer.Forget trying to get a glass screen protector for it. The only ones that are available for it don’t even seal on the top/bottom and sides of the screen. You will literally crack the protector by pushing on it with your thumb during general use.Lastly. Don’t get it anywhere near water. Its not even resistant to it. This is my own fault but you think being 2023, a phone would at least be resistant to 6 inches of water for 30 seconds. I’m out an $800 phone and having to deal with the hassle of getting a new one now. Look for something else.

Goodbye Galaxy
Love this phone it is a beast. Fps is amazing. It has a built in cooling fan so no waterproof casing. Also not a huge supply of accessories. But this comes with a case and the screen protector already on it. No stylus but haven’t missed that yet from my note9. To copy and paste you do have to hold down not tap. The keyboard is 3 parts so not as fast as galaxy if you need % or + symbol. But so far that’s my only complaint so not a problem. Heavy but well built and I don’t mind it barely feels more then the note. I won’t go back to iphone or Galaxy after this if price stays below those guys. Oh only bad was the time. Still don’t know how it finally set but it stayed on China time for 3 days even after I tried to find ways to fix it. The time is glitched in beginning. No problems since.

Just amazing. Absolutely stunning
I wanna say this is my second time buying this because the first time I bought this device it wasn’t compatible with AT&T, so if your seeing this review and your wondering, only t-mobile is the only one so far. Ultra fast, awesome refresh rate, awesome accessories you can buy seperatly. I’d highly advise anyone who wants to buy it, to buy this device. 6500 mh battery? Like what?!

Jack of all Trades, Master of Gaming
Edit: wifi connection sucks. It would connect for a little bit, the won’t receive signal. It will keep you connected to wifi, but will act as if you have no internet. I keep my wifi off for best data performance, which is great for me. For those looking to stay connected to wifi, this may be a deal breaker. I’ve looked on Reddit and this seems to be an issue with the 8 series. Hopefully it gets patched, but considering it’s been over 6 months, it’s unlikely.I left Android for iPhone about 5 years ago, and I always missed the freedom Android gave me. The “major” updates Apple gave had been old features for Android. Recently, I fell in a rabbit hooe searching for Android gaming devices, and decided between this and the Samsung 23 Ultra.I got the 23 Ultra, and instantly fell in love, but the Red Magic 8 Pro was my first pick, as a gaming (emulation) was my priority, so I returned the 23 and grabbed the Translucent 8 Pro. While the 23 Ultra is the better feature rich phone, the 8 Pro is a gaming beast.First, I tested Genshin Impact, and while it performs better on iPhone 13 Pro Max (on Medium settings), this phone plays great with MAX setting when you set the in phone game mode settings to rise and the fan is blasting. To get great gameplay without compromising resolution and frame rate AND not having your phone turn into a piece of hot coal after 20 minutes is a absolut win for me. Mapping touch screen buttons to a controller definitely is a negative, as the performance is massively noticeable, compared to iOS native controller support, but that’s a small price to pay for gaming freedom. I used the GameSir X2 (Bluetooth) for every phone. As mentioned earlier, my main reason for switching is freedom, and part of that is emulation without hacking (jailbreaking) my phone. I downloaded everything from NES to GameCube, GameBoy to 3ds, and this is where the Red Magic 8 Pro 16gb version outclasses the 23 Ultra. Right of the bat, every game I tested looked and performed better. With Mario 3D Land, the 23 Ultra played decently with 2x resolution (“chugged” here and there) while the Red had the same performance at 4x resolution on Rise mode. Dropped it to 3x and Balanced, and it played PERFECTLY. Visually, there is almost no difference in visuals between 3x and 4x on the phone, and was only able to tell them apart when I zoomed in on the screenshots I took to compare the different resolutions (from 2x to 4x).I won’t explain every test I did (which took about 3 hours), but the one that impressed me most was God of War Ghost of Sparta. I was able to play that with 10x resolution on the 8 Pro on Balance mode with as if it was running at 1x resolution, while it became almost unplayable around 6x on the 23 ultra. Those gaming features truly make a difference. As for the other basic functions, some are serviceable, some are great. Calls on speaker are lower than when music plays. The music sounds great and loud to me (better than 13 Pro Max), but calls over the speaker sound like whisper in comparison. In a quiet room, any external noise would easily down out the call. Off of speaker, it sound loud and clear.Music is awesome. Streaming through Amazon Music (cuz the stupid app won’t let me download and listen on another app, nor transfer out), the phone is surprisingly loud and clear. I didn’t notice any distortion or unbalancing issues with the bass, and I definitely enjoyed listening through this phone than I did on the iPhone and Samsung. The fact that it has a headphone jack may not matter if you have Bluetooth headphones, but now you can tell people to “pass the aux cord” XD.The camera is surprisingly nice, considering it’s primarily a gaming phone. The 13 Pro Max took some great pictures and videos, and the 23 Ultra blew that out of the water, but while the Red 8 Pro can’t compete with them in a side by side comparison, they look great on their own. When you inevitably take a video or picture, you WILL be satisfied and impressed with how great they came out considering photography is not why you would consider this phone over something mainstream.Last, and certainly not least; this charges FAST AS HELL! In about 5 minutes, you’ll gain about 20%. In about 30 minutes, you’ll go from 2% to 90%. It doesn’t matter how fast this phone dies (this WILL last you all day with moderate use) if you can charge it to 100% in such a short time. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have wireless charging, but with charging speeds (65w) like this, I wouldn’t use it, anyway.Tl;dr:If you want the best gaming experience on your primary phone, get the 16gb Red Magic 8 Pro.

Everything about it is amazing.
2nd UPDATE on 8/7/2024:Somebody asked if the Redmagic 9S Pro was compatible for Bend Oregon? To begin with, I have a 8S pro, the model before. I have not heard of ANY incompatibility issues. I have T-mobile and it works perfectly. It has a double sim tray and I could have 2 phone numbers on it if I wanted. I still don’t game, but I use it extensively to watch videos and run my Powerpoint presentations (in Google Slides). Everything runs perfectly, and extremely fast, never a gliche. I know my phone is over-powered for what I do, but it’s like owning a Lamborghini to run everyday errands. And the battery is the best thing. I still charge my phone every 3 days, and I use it a lot. I also use my standard 3.5mm phone jack a lot too and would have gotten it for that one thing. The antenna is great, never a gliche using google maps. It is just an awesome phone. I worried that it’s 6.8″ size might be too big, but with a slim case, the thin phone fits easily in the front pockets of my jeans. I assume the 9S pro is the same or better.UPDATE ON 3/24/2024:This phone is amazing for what I need. Most amazing is the 6 amp hour battery that never seems to run out. I used to charge my old phone every day, sometimes twice a day. I charge the new redmagic phone every 3 days (still at 20%), and it only takes 18 minutes to fully charge! That one thing alone makes it worth the money. It is extremely fast for video & powerpoint files, and the usb3.2 jack allows me to connect to my PC and easily and quickly move big files back and forth. You don’t need to play games to make good use of an extremely powerful phone.INITIAL REVIEW:First I’m not a gamer, but I need a powerful phone with big screen, USB3.0 or better data transfer and most of all, a 3.5mm headphone jack! This has it all. It has an awesome big screen with graphics subprocessor system that makes it extremely fast, which wasn’t absolutely necessary, but it plays my powerpoint files breathtakingly fast. The USB 3.2 connector connects easily to my PC because it is important for me to transfer large data files to and from the phone. It works great. It has 12GB ram and 256GB rom, the minimum for this phone. That is more than I need but you can upgrade to much more memory and storage. I use the 3.5mm headphone jack nearly every day to play music and videos, and absolutely would not have a phone without one. The BATTERY is a monster. It has two 3,000 mah batters totaling 6,000 mah. What that means is the way I use it, I only have to charge it every 3 days! And after I run it down below 20%, it recharges all the way to full in about 15 minutes. Amazing. I had heard that the camera wasn’t the best, but it is plenty good for me. It has Sony lenses and takes great photos and videos, in high resolution if you want, and even has a pro mode for mini picture adjustments that I will never do. And it costs literally half what a flagship samsung or iphone cost, half. I cannot comment on games which this phone was designed for, because I don’t play games. The simple cheap case I bought for it looks sleek and great. The only possible negative is that it’s heavy, because of the huge battery that lasts forever. SUMMARIZING: this is one awesome phone that any older non-gamer will be thrilled to own. BTW, I am a simple consumer, I don’t work in the tech field.

Looks good, feels great, is great!
First of all, yes, this is a gaming phone, with that being said they design of the phone lets people know that; however, the most standout aspects of the gamer niche design does not scream when compared with other typical devices! The size of this phone is incredible and feels great in hands, big or small thanks to it’s boxy body. While lacking wireless charging, it is arguable that the whopping 80 Watt charging (which the charger is included with purchase) makes up by getting from 0 – 100 % in roughly 30-40 minutes! On top of this the need to constantly charge is not necessary thanks to its 6,500 maH battery. The specs is astonishing when examining price aswell, it could easily be classified as midrange in price, but flagship in hardware! Great buy!P.S. for you emulators out there, yes it can run modern games native or within winulator at 20-40 fps depending on configs!

Amazing Media/Gaming Phone
I bought this phone transitioning out of Apple iPhone XS Max. This phone is absolutely amazing and the bluetooth headphones Redmagic DAO TWS are an absolute stellar compliment. Ultra low latency, noise cancellation with and without earbuds gives me all I need. Not to mention gaming on this phone is AMAZING! Xbox Cloud Gaming makes me feel like I have the power of a console in the palm of my hand.

It’s an excellent phone. Coming from iphone 12 pro max this phone is superior in every way. I am on the t mobile network already so idk about the network compatability issues which others have spoken to.I am going to explain how you turn off RTT calling though, which will make this phone incrementally better for you and the people you call. How to turn off RTT calling:Go to SettingsMobile NetworkChange network type to “3G”Go into your dialerGo into settingsAccessabilitiesTurn off RTTReturn to phone settingsMobile networkTurn 5g back onDonePros: The screen is excellent, the CPU is excellent, the GPU is excellent, the refresh rate is excellent, the battery life is excellent, the charging speed is extremely fast, it’s light weight, asthetically pleasing, the software is excellent and I have not seen any mandarin to English translation issues, customer service is prompt and thorough.Cons: There is a serious lack of accessories in the market for this device, finding a high quality case (ie OtterBox, Pelican, Mouse, etc) is impossible, finding a real leather case is impossible, not many Android OS updates will be made available, phone and accessories are priced much lower on manufacturer website (ie “on sale” here is MSRP w/o markup), requires some tweaking (RTT off) to actually be a functional phone for any sort of business calls, game controller accessory doesn’t seem to fully function with mobile games (PUBG only one joystick is responsive) however this could be due to the fact that idk how to set it up yet, customer service is very opaque regarding any sort of future updates or cut off for software or security updates and I find conflicting information online but again may be my own mistake.Overall it’s a very very high quality phone. The performance is like nothing I have ever seen in a mobile device. It technically has more ram at 22gb than my Acer Predator Helios 300 which has 16 gigs of ram and a 3070 Ti that Jarod labeled an “S class” laptop in 2022. I feel like this is a much more appropriate phone to pair with that laptop, the iphone 12 always seemed like it was lacking by comparison. If you have a gaming laptop I’d suggest this phone just for the fact that it will feel more like a seamless experience with the high refresh rate and benchmark scores when you switch from your laptop to your mobile device. The issues with accessories are a big problem though, I would really like to have an ecco leather case or something more substantial like an OtterBox on a phone like this. I found that the magsafe environment on the iphone was convenient, but I ultimately never used the wireless charging or the magsafe charger after the first year because they were so slow compared to the wired charger, and the redmagic wire charger blows that one away by comparison. It’s also worth noting that the heat difference between this and the iphone is unbelievable, that stupid iphone was always overheating, this redmagic phone doesn’t even heat up while fast charging. The integrated fan is a very welcome trade off instead of an IPXX rating as I rarely take my electronics into the pool and I do not make tik tok videos of my phone traveling through tunnels in canals. It would be like if the predator laptop didn’t have any fans and instead I could throw it into the pool and not have to use my brain for stupid things like consequences. I guess a dust rating might be helpful though, especially since I can’t take the phone apart like I can the laptop to CLEAN the fan so it’s not a fair comparison. I use all of these devices for work too and they are all perfectly suited to that environment. The only thing lacking from a business / functionality standpoint is the lack of an integrated stylus, but idk where they would even put one in something which I imagine must be very compact internally. However the ability to cast to my projector via the integrated widget is an excellent trade off and the ability to connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse as well as a monitor and Ethernet is just on a whole other level. I haven’t tried running MS suite on this yet but I’m not worried about it. I don’t see excel slowing this thing down with pivot tables, multiple tabs, or complex equations having to load. I have not tried the mouse and keyboard yet but I am excited to in the future and with my projector as a screen. For accessories I would suggest a carbon fiber case and glass screen protector (because I can’t find anything else), with a ram mount phone holder since this does not support wireless charging. Give the lack of a good case on the market and the delicate nature of such a powerful phone you don’t want to skimp on the car mount and end up with a broken phone. Otherwise it’s a fantastic upgrade and I can’t see any reason not to switch from anything else on the market. For what it’s worth t mobile has become a fantastic network after the purchase of Sprint, I have 5G almost everywhere I go and I do a lot of overlanding.

Worth your while, but…
Absolutely great phone, super fast CPU, lots of ram and storage and a massive battery. But with the redmagic 10 releasing soon, I shoulda just waited,As for the cooling fan, it stopped working 😑😑LEDs and shoulder triggers are a big plus though.NOT waterproof or dust proof.

Great gaming phone.
9S Pro 12/256gb version here.I was on a budget, so couldn’t go for the higher end model. The phone is nice and fast on response, but beware that it’s a gaming phone so your milage may vary. Call can be a hit or miss(due to the other person not hearing me from the other side sometimes), receiving text is ok, and for everything else, it works just fine. Gaming with emulator and mobile games is really great. I use the fan on balance most of the times and heat was never much of an issue. I use it as a daily driver phone too, works as expected, sure not the best cameras and all, but hey I rarely take photos. Great gaming phone overall.

Love my phone
Will never buy a Samsung or Google phone again. Everything runs great on this. Camera not as good a Google pixel, but everything else is nicer. Not have preloaded apps like FB is great. Charges crazy fast and actually comes with a charging block. Has head phone Jack, which is cool when I don’t want to use Bluetooth. Downside of that is its not water resistant, and have to be more mindful of where I use it.

Distinto

This phone is really cool!
If you’re on the fence about whether or not you should buy this phone, go ahead and get it. The ROM is a step up from the 8 pro. The phone is highly customizable and the camera is awesome. In addition the phone looks really cool especially with the glowing cover that can be adjusted with different colors. There’s no wireless charging but other than that I have no complaints.

Gaming or Just Normal Use -This Phone Is Fantastic Except for One Major Issue!
FLASH! – I have had to amend my review. At the time I wrote the original review which I left in its entirety, after an update, this phone developed a serious problem with RTT and making phone calls. RTT stands for Real-Time Text. It’s a call type that allows people to communicate using text instead of speech. RTT is similar to closed captions or subtitles but in real-time. The problem is not only does it make simple calling much more difficult but it requires the one receiving the call to do the same thing. On most cell phones this is simple to turn on and off.On this phone it is not – it cannot be turned off! Even after contacting the manufacturer, they have no fix for this problem short of creating a whole new update which they admit will take time and there is no expected date it would be released! There are some workarounds but as soon as you reboot the phone you have to do this again as there is no permanent fix for this issue!I, therefore, have had to return the phone is in its current condition and despite all the good things about it, it is useless to use in a normal manner not only for you but for the person receiving the call! As such I have reduced the stars to three, but I will say if they do get the problem fixed soon I will probably repurchase the phone!(Original Review) Understanding that this is a so-called “gaming phone,” I don’t think anybody has just decided to use this phone as a “normal” phone. Its gaming properties and abilities are without question just as good as using a home computer, but its everyday use with regular apps is where I think it really shines!I have been using a Galaxy ZFold 5, and before that a S23 Ultra, and without a doubt, these are two fantastic phones, but I found certain difficulties with using them on a normal basis. They just didn’t do simple very well. The other thing people key on and I really don’t understand why, are the cameras. The downside according to the reviews about the Red Magic 8S Pro, was how terrible the cameras were. Pictures were blurry, colors were washed out, did not do well in low light, and the list goes on. They excused all of this in the reviews by focusing on the fact that this is a “gaming” phone so who should expect Frederico Fellini-type pictures and videos? What about just regular pictures that don’t have to be scrutinized by cinematographers and photographers looking for exact color matches? The pictures I’ve taken with this camera over the week I’ve had it looked no different to me than the pictures I took with the S23 Ultra or the ZFold 5! It does 8K video. It does slow motion. It does reasonably good macro shots. The bottom line is I did not buy this phone simply for the cameras or taking photographs and videos. The cameras are more than sufficient for the average person who doesn’t spend their life studying cinematography or taking pictures for television. In fact, taking some pictures at work I shocked some people when they found out they were not taken with the S23 Ultra, but rather they were taken with my Red Magic 8S Pro (they read the reviews too).As for everyday use, phone calls, text messages, and other apps from utilities, to editing, to PDFs, and other basic stuff this phone is so fast it runs circles around whatever else I’ve ever owned! Battery life is beyond belief. Yesterday was a big test where I used it constantly for more than 17 hours, battery level never dropped below 75%! Another contention was that it is not water and dust-rated. That is okay for me because it can take splashes such as rain, and I use it every day in a not-so-dust-free environment. The glass is not Victus but is Gorilla Glass 5. As I do with all my phones I put a solid glass screen protector on, I do prefer film but could not find any right away. So that constitutes a fix for the glass problem. I also bought, as I do for every phone, a nice case and it fits nicely into the same leather holster that I used for my ZFold 5. And there you have it – total protection! It is intuitive and as of yet there hasn’t been one problem with it. Gaming aside, if you’re looking for a solid phone with fantastic features and you do not plan to go swimming underwater with it, this is the phone for you!

So close but the core reason you would buy a phone ain’t here
Feels great, personally I love hard corner phones. Looks amazing, really cool cyber aesthetic. For games and wifi, works like a charm, even coming with a game mode that you switch on (with a sick animation). The customization for the default phone is great, the ability to change charging sounds, the fingerprint scanner, the edge lighting all amazing features. The cooling system is amazing and it charges in no time. The battery lasts days on ambient or 24 hours if you use it for work. The pricing is great as well, I hate paying a whole rent check for a new phone. So where does this beast fall off? Service. This thing gives you a very limited band of network service due to it being Chinese. so if you’re not pretty close to a tower you will not get service. Which is the whole point of a phone. If you’re going to release your phone “world wide” you should probably add more compatability for network providers. T-Mobile, att, and Verizon all have limited connectivity. It has some of the bands for all the providers, but not all the bands, which makes it limited in usage unless near a city.

Lo mejor del equipo definitivamente es su batería, y en segundo lugar destacan su pantalla y cámara. Falta mejorar la estabilidad del sistema.

Works Well For Us
This is a “nice” piece of portable equipment, especially for our family gamers. We researched, watched, and I waited for the best price. Yes, the payer (me) watches the time limits of the players, etc.It is worth taking a very close look. Thanks, REDMAGIC, via AMZ.

Great in every way expect for the front camera.
So let me start with the only downside out the way. The front camera is subpar and you can’t ignore that fact. Luck for me I only when I need to video chat usually with my family or business. Not much to cry about for me. Now on to many positive starting with the best battery performance just blows anything I had before. Even on a very high usage day don’t see myself charging more than twice in a 24 hour period. Then add the fact it comes with it own super fast charging brick, when you somehow final managed to get the battery low. It wouldn’t take long to charge back up. And as gamer love having a dedicated game button to switch in and out game mode. And game space providing so much control over your gaming experience. Then this phone is loaded with customization and after week I’m still learning stuff but really enjoying. Now there’s one issue I want to take the time to address, which is network compatibility. Earlier in my research I saw people had issues with it. But mines work perfectly with T-Mobile. I think it’s the cases because they fix the issue through updated. So it worrying about that, I sure it been fixed by now. I wish I could give this 4.5 because the front camera isn’t as big of an issues to me. But I definitely recommend this phone unless you loves selfies that is.

Best gaming phone ever
Topnotch gaming performance as expected. but the only thing I don’t like is the software update that is only supported for 1 maybe 2 years of major updated while this device can run most if not all games at max settings for the upcoming 2 to 4 I would say minimal

Very Nice Gaming Phone!!!
The product has a slick design and is easy to carry in your pocket. The cooling fan works wonders so your phone doesn’t overheat. The fast charger is very useful as you don’t have to wait long to charge your phone. Recommended for gaming and watching movies.

RM9Pro with Visible wireless
Great phone so far, using it as my daily driver to replace my iPhone with a failing battery. The fan works pretty well to cool during gaming but the real way to keep it cool is to use charge separation while charging, and use the fan.As far as service with Visible goes, it works pretty well. I took the sim out of my iPhone, popped it right into the RM9 and after setting it up and resetting the service a few times it works well.

If all you are looking for is a phone, this one is way more than you need.
Most smart phones are viewed as a small computer, this phone is an actual pocket PC. It does everything in a hurry and that includes charging the battery. I have one of the cheaper versions of the phone, but the internal storage is more than three times than that of more renowned brands. I was skeptical at first, but I would gladly pay for the top tier version of this phone when I find that I need a new one. Switching to this phone from another android is as easy as plugging it in. This phone comes with a dual USB type C cord. It tells you when to plug your old phone into it and it will automatically copy all compatible files from the old device. Some of my pictures did not copy, but they were from yet another phone and we’re not compatible. The one main drawback to this phone is the limited choices of cases. The fingerprint reader is alright, it doesn’t work if you get a 360 case (on that note, there is a magnetic case available for it and it will limit the signal for the phone and any Bluetooth device as well). The phone is very unique compared to any of the ones your friends or family might have. The turbo fan is RGB and that’s pretty awesome too lol. All in all, this review is coming from someone who actually does not like cellphones in the first place, but I found my other phone (LG) to be lothesome.

Great phone, but doesn’t work with AndroidAuto
So like the title says, the Redmagic7 has the proper requirements and is preinstalled with Android Auto but no matter what you do, it won’t connect with the car, and that is a deal breaker for me.This is apparently a known issue after doing research and I wish I had known beforehand. I’ve only heard of one or two people claiming where it did work… I know in the cases where it didn’t work it was a Ford/Lincoln type vehicles.Otherwise, I love the phone’s hardware specs and it’s pretty fast. The only real downsides is the AA thing and it’s UI takes a lot of getting used to. Also, the fingerprint sensor is horrendous. Quickest way to unlock is face recognition. Setting fingerprint seemed to work like any other, but when it comes to unlocking it takes a second or two, and that’s without the fails if you’re not directly on it flat pressed hard(Samsung always read my finger pretty fast at whatever angle I had set it up with despite doing the same setup process with this one).I’m returning this phone and will go back to my Galaxy S9+(I know, ancient now), and will aim at a more software reliable phone and take a hit on the gaming aspect.Redmagic7 does a great job at pure gaming though.

It meets all my personal phone needs
I game a lot on my phone, particularly when It comes to fps shooters. With the air triggers it makes it easier to hit your targets. Then there’s the fan, which I’ve never seen any other phones have a literal fan built in. It keeps the phone cool to the touch when playing intense games. I don’t take much photos on my phones but I they’re good regardless. I get really bored of the Samsungs and apple phones that practically release the same phone each year. This is different and that’s why I don’t regret my purchase.

Don’t buy
This phone has been terrible for me, the gaming part of the phone has worked well, however, the software part of the phone has been flat out BAD. When I make a call from the text screen and I go back to the text screen, the phone screen will be showing?? You have to hit the back button to get back to the text screen from the text app?? Then for a few days I couldn’t get back to the text app at all, if I hit the back arrow, it would close out the text app and go back to the main page. Why is the phone app and text app linked together at all? Another thing with making calls, when you searched a business on Google and hit the phone link to call them, this phone wouldn’t make the call, and I work in the mountains, with any other phone and using Verizon, I wouldn’t ever have problems making calls even inside of a building, but this phone wouldn’t make calls from inside of the building or even when I went outside, and I am in an area with a lot of other businessess around and other people didn’t have problems making calls with their phones, but this phone did. Other things that didn’t work – the microphone never worked, whether from Google, my music app, it just flat out never worked. I contacted the Seller and they weren’t rude but they were short and almost acted like I must by lying, all that they did was brag about how they are one of the top three Sellers in the country and told me just to Update the phone, what does Updating have to do with those issues? I updated twice and nothing changed, the phone told me that I was have the current Update – nothing improved. When I responded to their response they chose not to answer me again and I gave it DAYS for them to respond. I also contacted Nubia and they gave me some baloney about restarting the phone, hold the volume up button and power button to do this, do that, none of which will do anything, these issues have nothing to do with restarting the phone or Updating things, THE SOFTWARE IS TERRIBLE, and this is by far the WORST PHONE AND PURCHASE OF ANY TYPE THAT I HAVE EVER MADE. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE, the customer service is terrible, the phone is terrible, there was absolutely nothing good about my two months of owning this phone. I asked if I could get SOME, not all, of my money back, they didn’t acknowlege my question, I just wanted to be credited some of the cost of the phone, not asking for a new phone, not asking for a full refund, I am a 52 year old man, not a 20 year old kid that is up to something, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE AND DON’T DEAL WITH THIS SELLER EITHER.
