Great Replacement for Logitech Keyboard and Lekvey Mouse, But…

(Backstory, feel free to skip this paragraph) I bought this to replace my Logitech keyboard and Lekvey mouse that died simultaneously (really strange). The Logitech was about 8 years old, so that was a good run. The Lekvey mouse was about a year old, so that’s extremely disappointing.I have to admit, the color LEDs and the old-school fat, chunky ‘clicky’ keys sold me on the keyboard because I have an Alienware laptop that has the LEDs as well and I miss them when the top case is closed. Ha. My only gripe, and this is purely cosmetic, is that the font on the keyboard is quite different from the picture on the listing and I was really bummed because it was a pretty close match to my Alienware keyboard. The actual font is kinda dopey looking (see photo) and several keys don’t have the wording centered.I was weary about going back to a conventional mouse because I had really come to enjoy the upright, ergonomic left-handed mouse, but I like the feel of this one. However, there are several extra buttons on it (presumably for gaming – I don’t game, I just like the build quality of gaming computers and accessories) and there are two on the left side that are pre-programmed to go back a page when you’re using a browser. Being a lefty, I hit the buttons all the time inadvertently and it is pretty frustrating. One other comment said you can download the driver from RedThunder’s website, but it looks like they haven’t updated it in at least 2 years and you can’t even find a product page for this model. Time will tell if I will be able to live with this annoying button issue or if I will need to get a new mouse.tl;dr – Great keyboard/mouse set that setups up super fast, but the keyboard is different than the listing photo and the mouse has extra buttons that do not seem to be reprogrammable or toggleable.

The keyboard and mouse are a hit at my office! I’ve gotten so many compliments. It’s easy to set up. The brightness of the colors stand out. Buttons are easy to type on but these are old school buttons imo.

Great quality for a casual gamer

I love this keyboard and mouse combo; I’m using it to type out this review. I bought the keyboard and mouse in February of 2023 and have often used them for gaming and completing homework assignments. The range is excellent; for a while, I had my gaming PC hooked up to my TV and would play on my bed, roughly 10′ away from my PC, and I rarely had issues with it connecting; the only time it would have problems is when my cat would sit on my lap in front of the keyboard (he is a very large boi). Still, when he wasn’t there, it was perfect. The mouse is very responsive, and the keyboard feels nice and sounds like a mechanical keyboard; the sound is very soft, and the keys take minimal effort to press. My only complaint is that after about a year of use, the space bar squeaks if I don’t press down on the center of the bar. It’s a simple fix, as I need to move my thumb a little farther right when pressing it down, but seeing as it is a habit to press the left side, I don’t see that happening. It’s not a loud squeak; I can’t hear it with headphones. The lighting is very bright; if you want to dim it, you can do that too.The only thing I wish the mouse had was a side scroll option on the roller, mainly because I use Excel, and having that feature would be fantastic; my work mouse has that, and it’s unbelievably lovely.The squeak and lack of side scroll are the sole reason for a 4-star review. However, I would 100% buy this keyboard if you’re on the fence about it.

Manufacturer came through

Update 2/24/2023:After I left my review, the manufacturer reached out to me and provided a replacement. I have increased my rating from 3 stars to 4. I really do like the keyboard and mouse. Hopefully my issues with the scroll wheel were a fluke. It is great that they stand behind their product and replaced it. I would buy their products again.***Original review***I have had this keyboard and mouse for about 3 months. It has been pretty decent until last week. The scroll wheel now decides to randomly go the wrong direction. I will be scrolling down, and it suddenly decides to send the page back to the top, or the other way around. It has been used in an clean office for work only a couple of days a week. It has not been used vigorously like you might with gaming. I have tried blowing it out and even using a thin piece of plastic to try to get anything out of it that may have gotten in the mechanism. I cannot see a good way to take it apart for cleaning.The only other complain is the enter key. I knew buying it that it did not have the style of enter key used in the US. I have more or less gotten used to it, but occasionally shows at the end of my paragraphs from the different placement of the keys. If I did not switch between this keyboard and a more standard US style one at home, I would probably have adjusted fully by now. Just know what you are getting into with the enter key.The keys feel pleasant enough, and I love the look of the old school greyish white plastic. Unfortunately, I am going to need to retire this since the scroll wheel on the mouse has become unusable.

Connection is not 10/10 but its aight

Bought this back in ’23 for the ‘Aesthetic’ but also wanted the full functions.The wireless connection is flighty and doesn’t like the keyboard or mouse being more than a foot away, or in a keyboard tray under the desk. connecting it to the computer gives you better feedback. I would not use this for gaming or work because of its inconsistencies. It works but its annoying when it misses the keystrokes.The lights are cool and the charge lasts for a long while so its not all bad.

Mostly good budget keyboard

The pink color is amazing and looks great with everything else I have. The LED lighting is also great. No problems so far with connection to my computer and I’ve been using it with light gaming so far. Only knocking off a star because my space bar is *distractingly* squeaky.
