Works amazing
Love this headset works great no problems at all. I could actually walk around my house now previous to the rig 800 where it would cut out if I walked like 10 feet away. I can walk everywhere and still be connected.

Thumbs up from the teenage gamer of the house.
My son uses these headphones for gaming and he says for the most part they’re great. He’d like a better sound quality – especially at this price point. He said it fits well and the headband doesn’t bother him. The ear pads are nice and cushioney, too. He does like being able to adjust/play with the audio via the phone app they offer. He says the microphone works well and it holds a charge for a good amount of time. Sorry this isn’t a more in depth review, but I’m clueless about gaming and teenage boys tend to be men of few words.

Wonderful Sound, Comfortable, Useless Mic, Overpriced
(This review is for RIG 900 MAX Dual Wireless Gaming Headset.)I received the RIG 900 Max a couple of months ago, and I’ve really loved having it. The audio quality is top-notch—the surround features work really well and everything sounds super clear. It’s incredible to me how good it sounds, and it’s been a huge improvement over basic headphones that I’ve used in the past. The headset is also super light and comfortable to wear. I was worried that this would fit me poorly since there aren’t many size choices available, but surprisingly it fits pretty comfortably on my head. And the wireless signal is strong over both WiFi and Bluetooth, so I never have any issues with connectivity. On the other hand, the microphone is basically useless. No matter how loud I talk, it just can’t pick up my voice properly because of where it’s positioned on the headset. This makes it pretty much impossible to use for any kind of online communication or streaming. I’ve tried it with multiple devices, settings, and positions, but even if I scream, it sounds like I’m whispering. Completely worthless. You do have to be careful when placing the headset on the charging stand, as the contacts will only connect properly if the headset is placed in just the right position. It is very easy to put it in the stand and not have it switch to charging. But, the battery life has been great so far, so it’s not a major concern.I do think that this costs way too much money. It should probably be in the $100–$150 range, and I’m not sure how they justify the higher price when they clearly cut corners on important parts.

Great headset.
The headset is very light and comfortable…the ear buds are cloth so they wont flake like the other material…easy to set up and its wireless. Great battery life. The sound quality is really good, decent bass. And has an app that you can tweak the sound with.

Love this headset.
Worth it for $150. Love how it connects automatically when I lift it from the dock. Don’t love how I can’t listen to my phone Bluetoothed when connected via Xbox. Other than that, it’s great. Rig app is okay. It works. Not great. Best budget flagship headset on the market IMHO.

1 flaw out of everything else. Incrediable product.
The media could not be loaded.
I first got this in my cart for $150 then the next day I go to order it. It jumped a $100 which pissed me tf off. Enjoy the video because I’ve explained its greatness and the only issue I have with it is having to take off the headset and turn it around to set it on the dock. I rather just take it off and set it down. When in a hurry that’s it. And that’s my opinion. Because I won’t remember 9/10 times to turn the headset around to set it back on it’s docking station.

Good set of headphones with a nice charging stand but a little pricey
I got these for my son as these have a nice rechargeable stand since he always forgets to charge his other one. With this, since it is also a storage stand, he usually remembers to place it in and its always charged for him. Overall quality is good, although I am used to more adjustability on the band – these just have 3 preset holes versus sliding cups.So far no issues with it and the connection is good. My son really enjoys them.

Sound good…
I like these headphones and they sound really good. I had a hard time figuring out the charging base but once I did they worked well. I only wish that the outside of the box was in English, or had one side in English at least. Not a deal breaker though..

RIG 3D wireless GAMING!
I have been testing the RIG 900 MAX gaming headset for several weeks now and, I am thoroughly IMPRESSED. The first thing I noticed was the AMAZING sound quality. It is sleek and modern with an overall great build quality.PROS:Sounds greatComfortable for long gaming sessions3D audio technologyGood battery lifeGood microphone qualityCONS:Sensitive controls can lead to accidental volume pressing etc. In conclusion, I am COMPLETELY happy with my head set. It provides an IMMERSIVE experience with unique technology. It also has custom audio profiles you can set up. Adjusting the EQ settings to meet my particular needs is super helpful. They are comfortable and fit great with an easy way to adjust the length. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Nice headphones
These headphones are really expensive, but to be quite honest I don’t feel it’s justified. I mean, they’re ok, don’t get me wrong. It’s just there were so many missed opportunities. First, the mic is on the left, what if I ant it on the right? There is no way to change that. Second there is no ANC, no noise cancelling whatsoever, at this price point? Third, the dual function only works when it feels like it, not consistent at all. Fourth the headset comes with a really nice dock, but if you so much as barely tap it, the headphones stop charging and turn on. Fifth, Never had this happen before, but my ears are sweaty! They are really high quality, light, comfortable, easy to adjust and change sizes. Hope the ear cups are replaceable. The Android App is kind of useless without an ANC function. Cut the price by 50% and it’s be more accurate in my opinion.

I want a Detachable mic like the rig 700 hd
I like the look and comfort but for the price your rig 700 still is better in my opinion easy to get new mic and was 100 when I bought one but now there 50-75 bucks depending where you get it and still are the best in my opinion had them for 4 years and there still going strong with 18 hours of battery life the mic always sounds amazing the but I’ve gotten both the rig 800 and 900 and the sounds seems muffled compared to the rig 700 even thou it’s a older model it’s sound is impressive now about the microphone I dislike that you have removed that it was very helpful if the mic was to of messed up it was easily replaceable but the newer models you would have to open it up and mess with a few thing before you get to the mic on my rig 800 the mic sounded like it was being covered or something was muffling the mic and the rig 900 is a little better but still not as clear as the rig 700 plz if you make a rig 1000 add back the removable mic

Extremely lightweight, Comfortable, Superb sound
I was very excited to get this headset for my gaming experience and I am not disappointed. They are very lightweight, super comfortable especially with the elastic headrest portion. And the earphones have a great fit, they seal over the ears real nice without any pressure spots and are made of a non-peeling material which will be great for longevity. They are easy to set up, wireless with a long battery life. The sound is awesome, great quality for gaming. You can adjust the sound to exactly what your preference is with the app.The dual mode for the Bluetooth works fine to allow you to switch audio sources when two devices are connected which makes taking phone calls a breeze. Love this headset, it has amped up my gaming experience.

Great headset
The first thing that popped out to me about this headset is how light weight it is. It’s lighter than any headset I previously have had, so that says something. It’s extremely comfortable!! The sound quality is great, it connected to my Xbox no problem, and the battery life lasts a while. Overall Im so happy with it!

It’s ok *See Edit*
For the price, it’s “eh”. Not as nice as my Turtle Beach Stealth Pro’s which are ever so slightly more expensive, or my Hyper X’s, which are cheaper. It syncs via a USB stick, and hasn’t had any connectivity or syncing issues so far after months of use. It comes with a charging dock that can be plugged right into your Xbox, which is nice. Convenient. Battery life is good. Sound quality however, is pretty trash for the price tag. You cannot differentiate between game and chat volumes on the headset itself, forcing you to do so in the game settings. It’s loudest setting isn’t very loud, leaving you struggling to hear footsteps even with game settings at max and headset at max volume. The mute function is flipping the mic up and down, which it does not do smoothly. Very clicky feeling. It IS comfortable to wear, which is a plus. And when I got pissed at the myriad of cheaters on COD and flung it across the room, it didn’t get damaged one bit, so it’s built well.**Edit** After a few months, I gotta say, for the price, this thing is junk. The fabric around the ear pads came out, causing the entire ear pad to come off. Spent hours using a pick, pushing the dang “fabric” (it’s more like a plastic type material) back into the crack, to reattach it to the headset. The sound really isn’t great, as I stated before, but it’s actually been detrimental in a few games where good sound quality is imperative. The battery life, while it was good in the beginning, has waned over the months, and now it barely stays charged for the day, where it used to stay charged for days on end. I’d recommend going with a different brand of headset.

Best headphones I have ever owned!
At first, I was a little skeptical about whether or not these headphones would be worth the steep price tag. The first thing I noticed was how light they are. I’m used to $50-70 USB headphones (with no internal battery), and somehow those cheaper headsets are still heavier, even without a battery. I LOVE the lightness of this set, as it really is more comfortable on my head over long periods of time. It is also easy to adjust and feels very comfortable over my ears. The microphone is easy to access and easy to use.The only problem I experienced was when I tried to pair with my desktop via Bluetooth connection only (not using the provided USB stick), the headphones would pair normally but then turn off without warning after 10 minutes or so. My best guess is that they did not actively detect the computer connection and were turning themselves off or losing connection (this happened on two different Windows PCs, both 10 and 11). I realized at that point I would probably need to actually install the correct drivers or branded software (which I generally don’t like to do), but ended up just plugging in the provided USB stick instead. That instantly fixed the Bluetooth connection and it has been working perfectly ever since. I haven’t used them long enough with my smart phone to know if the disconnection issue would be a problem, but since I only bought them to use with my desktop computer, I’m happy to leave the USB stick connected for an uninterrupted listening experience.Otherwise, they have been the best headphones I have ever owned, both in comfort and sound quality. The battery life seems pretty good, though I haven’t had to wear them for more than an hour or two yet. Either way, you can connect a USB-C cable to them while wearing so no big deal if they run out of batteries. However, the included cable is very short so you would likely want to use a different one (at least 6 feet long) if you need to use them while charging. While the price is high, in the end I think they are worth it. If you have the budget for these headphones, you won’t be disappointed! 5 stars.

Solid wireless gaming headset
RIG 900 MAX Dual Wireless Gaming Headset with Bluetooth for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC – Multi-Function Charging Base – Up to 60 Hours Battery – Dolby Atmos 3D AudioSolid wireless gaming headsetThis is a solid wireless gaming headset with some caveats. It’s got tons of features and customization. It has a long battery life. It has great connectivity. It has dual wireless connectivity so I can use it with my Xbox, my PlayStation, my PC and my Switch. I can also use it to stream music from my phone and take calls. After prolonged WoW raids my ears do get rather warm lol. This may be a me thing. It has full customization of almost everything. Equalizer, microphone, power settings, wireless modes plus are all customizable. The Omni-directional microphone with flip to mute is awesome. The battery life is incredible and I’ve not run out but I do put it in the charging stand after I finish a session. My cats bump it and I have to make sure it’s charging. It’s a solid headset and it’s $100 less than when I requested it so it’s now a great value.Highly recommend.

Excellent audio, easy setup
Comes with the headset, charging dock, USB cable, adapter, and paperwork. The headset has 3 slots to adjust the placement of the ear pieces. I selected the bottom-most slot, large. Because of my big head.Following the quick start guide, it was fairly simple to get the headphones working with my PC. Plugged a USB cable from the PC into the dock and the adapter into the dock. Windows recognizes it as an Xbox Gaming Device.Listened to a variety of different audio – music, interviews, Discord chat. Audio quality is very good to excellent.I generally use wired headphones, so it was a treat to wear these and not have to worry about getting tangled up in the cable. I tested how far I could walk away from my PC and still hear audio. Figured I’d get 10-20ft away before it cut out. But there’s nowhere in my house where it didn’t have coverage, even in the garage. In the furthest possible point, on a different floor and through several walls it popped and crackled a little, but still quite audible. Color me impressed.Build quality seems solid. Unit has some heft to it, but isn’t too heavy.Headset is pretty comfortable. The over the ear foam muffs have the right amount of give and fit well. I experienced a little fatigue when wearing the pair for hours at a stretch, but it’s entirely possible I’m just not used to them yet. This set is a little squeezier than my normal headset.Lifting the mic up mutes 🔇 and lowering it unmutes. A pair of beeps indicates when muting or unmuting occurs. You can bluetooth pair the headset with a device, like your phone. There’s a volume dial built into the left earpiece. And a multifunction button to toggle between adjusting game volume and in-game voice volume (Xbox only). The same button can be used to accept / end / reject a call, or to play / pause music.Overall: These aren’t cheap, but they are high quality and full-featured.

Excellent Comfort and Sound, but Atmos is not a Game Changer for Me
I’ve never heard of Rig before, so I thought it was another product from China, but then I found out that it was formerly Plantronics. I’m familiar with that company, because it’s based in Santa Cruz, and they’ve been making headsets for decades. I actually own a couple of headsets from them. Their Backbeat headsets were popular.COMFORT:These headphones are packaged nicely in a retail box. The ear cups are separated from the head band, but it’s easy to snap them into place. It’s also easy to remove them and change size. The first thing you’ll notice is that the cups don’t pivot much. They don’t need to, because of the super soft pads.Once you put these on, they feel very comfortable. I’m amazed that they feel lighter than they actually are. The ear pads are super soft, and the fabric feels good against your skin. I’m glad they didn’t make the entire thing out of vinyl. The headband is made of sheet metal, but it’s not too tight. They are just snug enough to stay on your head but not tight enough to create pressure pain. These are the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever used. I wear glasses, and it doesn’t feel like they are being squeezed by the pads.SETUP:Setup is super easy. These are already paired to the USB stick. To enable Atmos, you just go to the Microsoft store and download the Dolby Access app. The app will recognize the headphones automatically, so you don’t need to buy a subscription. Rig is already licensed with Dolby. Activation is only for these headphones, it won’t work with any other headphones.I haven’t had any connection issues via the USB dongle. I did connect this to my Fire TV cube via BT, and it worked very well. I also tried using the dual mode where it connects to BT and USB, but you cannot have both sources playing at the same time. It would always favor USB, so my TV disconnected. Oh well, I guess you can’t watch TV and game at the same time.SOUND:The bass is deep and powerful. I can hear a 20 hz sine wave, but it’s very quiet. It gets louder at 25 or 30 hz. So, I would say the frequency response starts at 25 hz. The treble is pretty good. The sound is clear and detailed. These have a fun v shaped profile, but you can adjust them to your liking via the app. There are many preset settings, or you create your own using the EQ.I’m not a fan of over the ear headphones for music, because they don’t sound natural, but these sound really good. I enjoyed listening to music with them. For games or movies, the Rig sounds amazing. The bass is enhanced, but not muddy, and the mids and treble are very detailed. Action movies really bring out the thundering bass in these headphones, yet voices and ambient sounds still have a natural quality. Sibilance is controlled and I don’t get fatigued. I can wear these for hours.I didn’t test the mic, because I don’t play online games anymore. I just use these for single player games. I appreciate the fact that the mic folds out of the way. You don’t even notice it’s there. The USB latency is excellent. I didn’t notice any sounds out of sync. Even with a bluetooth connection, the latency is very good.DOLBY ATMOS:The app has demos of the spatial effects. Just go to the app’s home page, and play the sample videos. I can hear sounds coming from the rear, because it sounds a little muffled and slightly altered. It’s a nice effect. I watched the Atmos demos many times, but I couldn’t tell the difference between sounds from above, or straight and level. So, spatial audio on the Rig 900 is a mixed bag.Games that work with Atmos sound really good. For example, Cyberpunk sounds clear, and detailed. Fallout 4 doesn’t use Atmos, so I guess it uses the Windows spatial audio driver. I’m not a fan of the audio quality. The sounds are altered too much, so voices end up sounding muffled or distant. When I quit the game, I noticed that my Dolby license is disabled. The app asks me to buy a license. I have to login or restart the PC before Atmos is working with the headset again.VERDICT:I like the build quality, audio quality, comfort, and weight of these headphones, but is it worth $250? If the spatial audio was a game changer, then I would say yes, but honestly, I’m not feeling it. The audio quality is excellent, but I can’t pinpoint sounds in 3D space. For me, it didn’t live up to the hype. If you really want headphones with Dolby Atmos, and don’t have a subscription already, then I guess these are a pretty good value. Anyway, I really enjoy using these for movies, and some games, so I think it deserves 4 stars.

An improvement on something that was already great
So I had the Rig 800 prior to this and these are just basically an upgrade over them in almost every way. They maintain the insane lightness of the 800’s but with minor improvements all over them. The top of the headphones now consist of a metal holder rather than the plastic which I always thought was a weak spot. They’ve changed the mic out with a stronger omni directional option so you don’t have to bend it towards your mouth for people to hear you clear. The biggest upgrade would be the fact that they added Bluetooth to the device now so now not only do you not have to move your dongle to get the headphones to work on your switch but it will also now work on your tablet or phone. The 2.4ghz range on the headphones is really far as I’ve been able to listen to music while cleaning my entire house too from the 2.4hz being as far as 30 feet away through floors. The biggest positive of this and the prior generation is just the comfort though, you will not find a lighter more comfortable headset that you can wear for hours and almost forget that they are even there. The charging dock also seems to be slightly upgraded over the original as it feels even easier to get the contact click to make sure they’re charging when your done with them at the end of the day, though with the 30+ hour battery life you’ll probably never hear the headphones say anything other than “battery high” if you use the dock. This is probably the best all in one headset you can ask for especially if you have multiple devices you play on.

Surround sound is amazing compared to other headphones
I absolutely love these, they work great and the sounds are much more vibrant compared to my old headphones (not the volume, the quality of the sound). I don’t really know how to explain sound, but these sound great! I did have the small issue of not being able to properly have surround sound in the back or front, but that’s an issue with all headphones, and I’d say that with these, I was able to recognize when a sound was behind or in front better than even my airpods. I use this for PC, and use the USB primarily, the latency and sound accuracy isn’t something that I can measure but sounds good, and overall, I would 100% recommend.Side note: I think the only better way of getting surround sound past this level would be a full 360 speaker setup instead of headphones. These are a little bit expensive, but speakers for less would probably sound worse, and these are easier to store and more portable.
